4341  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How to track power on: September 09, 2017, 01:45:43 PM
You could use one of these things: https://www.fibaro.com/en/products/wall-plug/
It's a wall plug that changes color to indicate the wattage drawn and it connects with a main router that allows you to access all the plugs via wifi. You can then use your mobile device to turn each of them on/off and see the power usage graphs.
4342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Favorite game (gambling) on: September 08, 2017, 12:46:30 PM

For me, the most favorite gambling game is poker. But I also like playing roulette when I have money for that. Grin
Great choice. This is the king of all casino games IMO and it really develops your character. You don't need a lot of money to play. Look for tournaments hosted by big casinos from time to time. In a tournament you're paying a low entry fee (can be even something like $5) and are given a couple times that in virtual tokens. If you manage to eliminate all other players at a table you get a prize, if you don't, you usually can change the table and start again. IMO it's the cheapest and most fun way to play poker, because people have a lot of virtual tokens and aren't afraid to bet high.
4343  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Philip Hammond and Theresa May abandon plan to stay in EU on: September 08, 2017, 12:33:53 PM
They are doing the right thing. I'm amazed by Merkel's and Macron's attitudes. They are being tossed around by swarms of migrants and are losing money by fighting and relocating them, yet they still want more. They still think it's the right thing to do,e even if it puts their public safety at risk. They are threatening countries that don't want Muslim migrants, especially the ones that come from countries without a conflict. In reality most of those migrants aren't from Syria, yet they are being received without problems and paid wages! EU is going to be gone in 10 years.
4344  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you mean by 3rd world countries ? on: September 08, 2017, 12:25:57 PM

For me, the notion of "third world countries" is those countries where a simple person can not afford to buy normal food, where salaries are scant and where corruption in power flourishes on a large scale.
Actually in those poor countries food is a bit cheaper than everywhere else. For instance you're working for $1 per hour, but groceries cost you just $5, which is extremely cheap compared to so called first world.
The main problem of third world countries is lack of education, healthcare and hygiene in general. There are shortages of things we in the rich countries are taking for granted, like water.
4345  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can you give your own list of great campaign manegers? on: September 06, 2017, 11:49:32 AM
Usually Yahoo for me is the most trusted campaign manager here. The guy has like 3 or 4 campaigns every month in the bitcoin market alone. So that tell's how reliable he runs a campaign and we didn't know how he can managed those campaigns. Next I saw is Edwardard, who is also busy every month running campaign as well, been with him when I was a Member, if I'm not mistaken. Of course there is Darkstar, who is my current campaign manager. Lauda, who runs the Bitmixer campaign like a boss and I have the privileged to worked for her for more than 6 months in that campaign.

There's nothing like "the most trusted manager" you either trust someone or you don't. If all of them were honest and reliable with their previous jobs, all of them are equally trusted. The fact that someone has run 5 campaigns already and someone else only 3 doesn't make much of a difference.
Lauda is no longer running Bitmixer. How do you know Lauda is a girl? I haven't seen him/her admit to being a female.
4346  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is the best campaign to join to? on: September 06, 2017, 11:33:01 AM
The best campaigns are not the ones that pay the most. You need to read the rules and decide for yourself, but sometimes you may find the rates to be good, but at the same time your campaign will not pay for post made in half of the forum topics. Some will also want you to write a certain amount of posts in gambling every week, which I personally find too demanding and boring. It's the main reason why gambling discussion is full of pointless spam.
4347  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The world without leaders? on: September 06, 2017, 11:22:45 AM
The world without leaders is a big chaos. Wars can be happened. There will be no unity.
If there are no leaders then there are no wars. For the war to begin somebody has to rally a number of soldiers and show them a purpose. For instance Hitler made his people believe they need more room to live, that they need to expand.
There won't be a world without leaders. Sooner or later someone with ambitions will come forward and say he can provide this or that, make this or that happen, if people back him up.
4348  Other / Meta / Re: Is this can considered as spam? on: September 02, 2017, 03:55:39 PM
Spot reserving isn't spamming. If you really wanted to report some of this user's activity there are better examples, like bumping a thread every 2 minutes.

4349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Video from Kostroma (Russia) about Bitcoin cashing. on: September 02, 2017, 03:36:04 PM
Even in the description it doesn't say what these people were doing. You can clearly see they had multiple phones and had a Visa site on one of the computers. Were they Bitcoin dealers? I thought trading was allowed in Russia... Maybe they were laundering money?
4350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NSA Identified Satoshi Nakamoto on: September 02, 2017, 03:20:32 PM
We already had a thread about this on the same board last week. It's all speculation. If they were really able to identify him someone would have leaked some facts about him by now. If I saw people bragging they got Satoshi's dox I'd think that it's either trolling or they are trying to bring the price down. How come some writer knows they've tracked Satoshi? Those NSA people who are so secretive about the whole operation shared this info with him?
4351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you keep buying? on: September 02, 2017, 03:15:05 PM
I'm not buying as I don't have enough fiat to be able to and I have some Bitcoins that are going up in price every month, so I'm happy with the result. If I had some money I'd probably buy some more despite the price. Bitcoin will grow eventually, so if you want to buy don't let the prices discourage you. $5000 is right around the corner.
4352  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you have a gun? on: September 01, 2017, 09:55:17 AM
Where I live, owning a gun is illegal and I don't think that's a big deal
People who were never attacked and didn't have to protect their family or home usually say that. It's better to own a gun and never have to use it than don't own it when you need it.
I don't have a gun, but i'm waiting for the laws in my area to change. Right now you have to be a sports shooter or a hunter to be able to have one, there's basically no law that allows guns for personal protection.
4353  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why IT hack? on: September 01, 2017, 09:41:39 AM
I've seen a lot of prank hacking on YT, when people take over their neighbor's computers through wifi and change their playlists or shut them down when they're too loud.
Hacking isn't a bad thing, as long as they aren't doing serious damage. If you get prank hacked it should be a wake up call to upgrade your security. Would you rather someone got in and gained access to your bank account or crypto wallet?
4354  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mining Bitcoin With CPU on: September 01, 2017, 09:36:55 AM
You have made me curious, how long would a I5 or I3 survive if someone started mining with them

Also I have an IT friend that jokingly told me he is gonna get all the shitty gpu less pcs in my office to mine ETH how long till everything burns down?
For many years. Mining doesn't degrade a CPU, it keeps it at close to 100% load the whole time, but these chips are made for it. They just need proper cooling.
Unfortunately if you mine with low grade processors you'll pay more for power than you'll be able to mine. If you had a mainframe and could configure it to mine a CPU coin, you could bring in some serious money Wink
4355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thinking about making a Bitcoin mixer - suggestions? on: September 01, 2017, 09:31:51 AM
If you want create a bitcoin mixer, you should make a good looking site because it is very attractive to the users of bitcoin and most of them like minimalist looking site and also include a lower fees than the other bitcoin mixer so you can get more customers and also do some campaigns like signature campaigns to spread your site and easily get popular around our forum.

How exactly does one set up a signature campaign?
It's very simple and cheap if you have the time to manage it yourself.
You make a thread in the services section with all the rules, payments, make a list of participants in google docs. You'll need to make a signature. A simple one without special characters can be made in minutes. If you want an advanced, more flashy one, you can always pay someone to make it, but a normal one will work just fine.
Next you set up an escrow if you want the campaign to attract more people and you're all done. Provided the rates are decent you'll have people advertising your service in no time.
4356  Other / Meta / Re: A highly misleading topic at bitcointalk.org on: August 30, 2017, 12:30:07 PM
AFAIK moderation/administration doesn't manipulate content like that.
This is a forum, meaning content is provided by the users and as long as its within the lines of the forum rules, there's no moderational involvement needed.

The original post contains nothing but false accusations. I'm not sure that's how things should stay/be. And as moderators of this forum I guess you should strive to keep the forum topics relevant, objective and true. The one we're talking about is nothing but.

By your reasoning I am perfectly allowed to create the topic where I will say things like, "bitcointalk forum is run by wretches and the whole forum is nothing but scammers gathering" and that would be OK, right?
Yes that's how this forum works.
Officially you are allowed to accuse anyone of anything, but should provide sufficient proof. In reality people are just saying what they want. You can pick any business that advertises here and start a topic in the service discussion saying it's shit, scam and people should avoid it. I've seen it done by competing businesses like gambling sites, that were using new accounts to start topics meant to discourage people.

On the other hand you have to understand that thoroughly checking each accusation would require a lot of time and effort from staff members. They can't simply delete a thread because you, the business owner, have vouched for it.
4357  Other / Meta / Re: Why does having an Alt account deserves negative trust? on: August 30, 2017, 12:19:56 PM
I think the stigma against having an Alt is because they are often used to either bypass a Trust Restriction (IE your main is red, so you make another to get around that) or to farm Signature Campaigns. Otherwise I don't see the purpose of having an alt in the first place
And I see one.
For example, if you're running a campaign, escrow, or any other forum business, you don't want people to know your personal opinions because that might impact your business.
If you, for instance, say you're supporting death penalty, or are against gay marriages, someone might not like it and avoid doing business with you. That's why it's wise to separate business accounts from your casual ones.

Whether someone having 2 accounts in 2 different campaigns deserves negative trust is another topic for discussion I guess. I'd still say no, because that person isn't breaking any campaign or forum rules and isn't acting dishonestly in any way.
4358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earning enough with Bitcoin without Job ? on: August 30, 2017, 11:54:33 AM
The poll is almost dead even. I am surprised to see how many people are earning enough Bitcoin that they do not need a job. Shocked
And I'm not! If you live in a third world country It's very easy to live off cryptocurrency trading mixed with a signature campaign income.
You have to realize that there are still countries where you get paid $1 per hour in a normal job. Sig campaigns nowadays are paying $2 per post, so even if you make 1 post per hour with the help of google translator you're getting more than you would at work.
4359  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hashflare and Genesis on: August 30, 2017, 11:44:19 AM
When we speak about the cloud mining recommendation then there is only one thing that struck the mind, its ponzi and not worth investing into it. See if you have the big investment in your hands then just go for the hardware mining and start earning the profits almost within one year of investment. For cloud Ming your investment will stop paying you once they become obsolete and you are left with a site showing your stats but not paying you. You will never wanna stand in that kind of situation. Having hardware mining stuff is having real thing around us. Hope you will read more about cloud mining and it's not worth folks.!

All right, cloud mining is a ponzi scheme, it's a scam.
Why do the owners of cloud mining themselves not mining bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies? Because they do not have farms for mining!
Show me photos of their farms, they simply do not exist. Want to extract, buy gpu and asic  Cheesy
Some of them have real farms. Their system of scamming is different than what you think.
It has been explained here many times in various threads. They are taking money from you and treating it like it was a loan. You're buying a "lifetime contract" with a projected 1-2 year ROI, thinking after that time you're going to start earning, but what happens is they are buying miners with your money and after that ROI time start paying you pennies or saying that your contract is no longer profitable. They are left with the miner you helped finance and can continue mining or sell it on ebay Wink
4360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Been to Macau? on: August 29, 2017, 07:38:19 PM
It's like a gambler's paradise there. About 33 casinos squeezed into a small island.
If given a chance I would love to go that place, when you are a gambler that will give you another achievement in life to finally go to the place you love.
There are only two places I would like to go, I want to go to vegas but right now it seems Macau is more possible as it's closer to my location and not too expensive when finally have a trip there.
And I wouldn't.
I haven't been there, but the trip would be too expensive. Has any of you guys actually checked how much the flight would take and cost you?
London - Macau would take me 19 hours, with 2 stopovers, and would cost me £1,5k. That's more than I've ever waged, and I'd have to add a hotel and meals... I don't think i'll ever take that trip, even if someone agrees to go with me.
