4341  Economy / Speculation / Re: What could cause price of bitcoin to crash?? on: June 05, 2017, 10:09:00 PM
So in past bubbles it was:
1. collapse of biggest exchange Mt GoX.
2. "Bans of bitcoin in China"
3. ...

What could happen now to cause price crash? I mean, exchanges are so mature now and there are a lot of them, that failure of one exchange wouldn't cause big price drop.
What do you think can cause price of bitcoin to crash?

I think the panic, I can remember the Bitcoin Unlimited where many bitcoin users start to sell and started using another altcoin. They thought that bitcoin will die but after that, the price regain and goes back to normal. Now the topic is not Bitcoin Unlimited, but the network splitting stuff. It might not be that scary, but many users are having second thoughts about investing in bitcoin because of these.
4342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people are asking you about Bitcoin now? on: June 05, 2017, 08:49:33 PM
At this moment some of my friends start to know what bitcoin is, now they begin to understand with higher niali, they realize that having 1 btc is not easy and definitely need a struggle to get it.

I guess you need to teach them or give them some information about these digital currency that you use. They are your friends right, and eventually they will be asking you many questions about it including how will they earn it and how much did you invest. Everytime people ask me these question, I don't know how will I answer those, so I just answer them that I invested on these digital currency and currently I am earning some profits.
4343  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it worth buying bitcoins now? (2000$ /btc) on: June 05, 2017, 01:37:07 PM
Hello,

I was wondering if it was worth it to buy bitcoins right now at the price of $2000,- /btc.
I can also wait till it drops to maybe 1800$-1900$, but would that make a huge difference?

I'm now just holding my coins, but im not making really good profits as I only have around 0.5BTC

Shawns
In my opinion there's no way for bitcoins price to fall around 1500 usd per bitcoin. Hence, my advice is to buy a lot of bitcoin until its price is not that expensive because, I guess bitcoins price will hike again soon. There's a possiblity that bitcoin will pump again.

Bitcoin's price now is a little high, and it is not preferable to buy it now, though it depends on how you will be taking these risk. These upcoming August, the splitting will happen and there are many bitcoin users against it, these may create a panic and may also result into a dump.
4344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is useless or is it? on: June 05, 2017, 11:40:56 AM
For some services it is ok and they are agree to pay that fees for their transactions but for some services for which we do not pay a high amount for example for recharging our mobile it is a very high fees.
Confirmation seems to be an issue with the bitcoin network. This too is a solvable problem, but some sort of blocksize and other scaling need this has been kept as it is. When the usage increases further a final decision will be made to make a solution. These days the shopping too has got avoided just because of confirmation delay, for which we cannot indicate it as an useles.

I really do not like the fact that the problem of long transactions has not been solved until now. This makes it hard for some people to use bitcoin. I'm bothering, as soon as this problem is resolved, many stores will accept this payment system

The problem here, I think is not the transaction but the way you paid the miners to confirm your transaction, as we all know, there are right fees to confirm your transaction, we just need to follow that fees or else we will be waiting for our transaction for weeks, the most for months.
4345  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why you should Buy bitcoin now on: June 05, 2017, 06:03:28 AM
Because as the history speaks for itself, bitcoins price is rising in the last few years. The gold of the internet is said to be one of the best investments online and if you're lucky enough and have a lot of cash to buy bitcoins, you might be a millionaire in a year or two.

But the thing is, bitcoin is a pricey investment, yes it can make you a millionaire after a year or two, but it is for the one who can afford the price of bitcoin now. Even if you say you can earn bitcoin through Signature Campaigns or other sites, unless you can't invest your money in bitcoin, you can't reach a million.
4346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SNC] SunContract - Decentralized Energy Market on: June 05, 2017, 01:09:22 AM
Thats true i were looking on the last days to get a solar energy panel, but the price of it is very big, even if i do sell some energy to my currently provider its an investment i will recover into 6-10 years, and i dont know if i will still the same place where i do live. I really hope this project can grow and reach all countries, being able to purchase equipement with bitcoin would be amazing as well.

We are on the same boat my friend. Solar panel is still expensive to my country and if this project will become successful in the future, globally, we can all benefit from it specially if it is available to the masses.

That is right, we are not the only one who will be having a benefit from these project, but our environment also. We are having a good source of electricity, and we are also maintaining the beauty of our Mother Earth. I just hope that these project will be successful like other projects that Sir Yahoo handled.
4347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use Social Media for Bitcoin on: June 04, 2017, 08:15:24 PM
Social media play an important role to know about bitcoin so Don't underestimate.

Yeah, and many services are also doing some advertisements on social media, even scams are doing it. But even if we post it in Social Media, if the people is not really interested in such thing, we can't force them to like it. Though, it is the best way to spread the word how bitcoin gives us extra income and how it helps our lives.
4348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is useless or is it? on: June 04, 2017, 07:00:16 PM
Bitcoin is definitely not useless as OP claims it to be; yes, the fees are getting really high but I'm confident there will be a change in the way transactions work very soon (which hopefully will drop the mad fees)

Even with the fees getting really high, bitcoin is not useless, if it is, many people must have sold their bitcoins and used another crypto currency. There are other things that bitcoin is being useful, investment, many people buy bitcoin or earn them, then use some of it and mostly store them and wait for a good price to use them or maybe sell them.
4349  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: June 04, 2017, 04:51:02 PM
Because bitcoin is a digital currency and every country still has a lot that has not yet formalized it so bitcoin can not afford to be cash.
But with the bitcoin all its users must feel the ease of transactions with Fast, worldwide transactions at your fingertips.

Formalized? more like accepted it. Bitcoin is being accepted throughout the world, the problem is some country wants their own currency and use that as their own, not accepting bitcoin but just as a asset or used to exchange but not a payment. I don't know their motives doing these though. Having bitcoin also gives you freedom from government and taxes unlike cash because it is decentralized.
4350  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins value on: June 04, 2017, 12:37:19 PM
What are the factors that affect the bitcoins value ? Just curious guys. Wanted to learn more.

Many replies here are also some that I knew that can affect bitcoin's price, though, I think there are still some factors that affect the value of bitcoin, when people invest on bitcoin, they do nothing, which means, they stock their bitcoin into their bitcoin wallets, that bitcoins will not be joining the circulation of bitcoin to people.I can't explain it very well.
4351  Economy / Economics / Re: How to teach kids about Bitcoin? on: June 04, 2017, 07:44:41 AM
I think teaching kids about bitcoin is difficult task they will ignore it because their minds are focus just from playing. They should focus first in their studies and know them how hard to earn money then introduce them the basic about bitcoin in teenage.

That is right, we can't just teach these kind of things to kids, we are just being selfish and we just want to teach them what we want, how about their wants, their dreams they have their own paths to take, we must not take it from them. It is better if they can just study first, they will be using and needing that knowledge.
4352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: June 04, 2017, 02:17:26 AM
Bitcoin for me I think bitcoin is my source of my income because Im student and bitcoin help me to provide my allowance in school and because of this I can afford to buy my wants and needs. Thanks to bitcoin. I hope it will live long.

These is a good part time as a student, these will not also help you, but also your family and parents. Your parents will not be having a problem of giving you money for your study because you can provide it yourself. As you said, you can buy what you want, what you need especially to help you study well.
4353  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You Holding On To Your Bitcoin? on: June 03, 2017, 11:36:23 PM
Of course, I hold some coins for the future. because i know that, bitcoin price will increase more in the future. So investing in bitcoin is one of the best investment now when we talk about money. Usually, i save 70% of my weekly income in my wallet.

I do too. Bitcoin price is slowly regaining it's price back to $2200 maybe it can still go back at $2500 and break the $3000 wall. But I don't just save, I also invest in some ICOs and some projects, I do too faucets even if it is a small earnings, it is a time killer.
4354  Economy / Services / Re: SunContract Signature & Avatar Campaign(CFNP) on: June 03, 2017, 09:46:12 PM
I know some of you have ranked up but this campaign is full so the only way to rank up is if a spot opens up. Currently i have 4 jr member slots open so unless youre a jr member you cannot rank up right now

Thanks for the payment sir Yahoo. I received the payment.
4355  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell or wait? on: May 31, 2017, 10:40:34 AM
I would recommend u to wait and have patience till the price of bitcoins goes high more than 1500$ .well it seems a quite far away now , but it will happen in the nearby soon and then u can sell ur bitcoins

Since you are not sensitive to the current state of bitcoin prices that reached $ 2,199,9075, and it looks like you need an update before posting about the price, this might be your experience

Yes he is not having an updated information about the price of bitcoins and I am really surprised that how can a user of bitcoin is not aware what is the present price of bitcoins as its the most important factor in bitcoins and each and every user will keep on checking the price every now and then which will give him an clear idea of what move he need to make next.
It's not the most important factor unless you only treat it as a speculative asset and don't do any real work or support for it.

Price is the most important factor in bitcoin, I don't think so. These is important to people who are using bitcoin as an investment asset, and to make profit. I think the most important factor of bitcoin is not price, but it is anonymity and decentralisation. It is the two reason why I used these digital currency.
4356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: May 31, 2017, 08:49:56 AM
not only bitcoin but fiat used for criminality too, but maybe not exposed too much because it is a common thing. it is no matter bitcoin used for criminal thing because bitcoin is currency too. don't blame bitcoin, just blame the criminal

That is right, before bitcoin was ever created, fiats are being used for criminal activities, either paying people to kill people, laundering and other stuffs. Money is a way to make a forced path to greatness, when you have money, you have power. We can't do anything about them abusing bitcoin, it is even used in fiats and noone can stop it.
4357  Economy / Economics / Re: How to teach kids about Bitcoin? on: May 30, 2017, 11:35:25 PM
Is it necessary to teach them?.I think bitcoin is a great platform to trade and investment, also it is providing huge opportunity to create employment, so I don't think that it is not a toy which can be used as a kids play.

Nobody says that bitcoin is a toy. It's easy for children to understand complex things in a playful form.
I believe that children should know about bitcoin. The fact that this is a special kind of money

He just used a metaphor, don't take it literally. He just meant that bitcoin is not a thing for kids. And the way you are saying it, it is like you want to make these kids earn bitcoin for your own good, everything has it's own time, we don't need to push them at an early age. Bitcoin is a digital currency, it is not for a kids to be earning, but it might be a way for you to make your kids graduate and create his own future.
4358  Economy / Speculation / Re: If you had the knowledge back in 2011 on: May 30, 2017, 02:22:27 PM
I'm just curious, but if you were given chance to invest in Bitcon back in 2011 (or early 2012), how much would be the optimal ammount to both a) not raise questions and b) not intervene with the progress of Bitcoin's appreciation? I mean couldn't one person just out of the blue investing too much money into the currency somehow hurt the progress of its rapid growth over several upcoming years? Also - aside from sports betting - what would be some other good investment opportunities for a normal person back in 2010-early 2012? Thanks for any advice

its for a school project
There are no questions back then. They were paying for a lot of bitcoin just for a pizza. You can have as much as you want and miners would really love to sell it too you.
They need money to pay up for electricity and what they mined doesnt fit it. So they will be running to you just to sell their coins.
It is really a different era there and it is hard to compare specially when you dont know this could happen.

Yeah, a pizza sold for a 1000 bitcoins. That is really insane if that happened these month. And bitcoin was released January 2009, and I don't think many people knew that, Satoshi Nakamoto even mined a million of bitcoin, back then, and that is the first mined bitcoins. I am saying these because that is how bitclin began, it starts at $.003 price and start pumping after that. I can buy even a million of them back then. And I will be rich.
4359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we have a bitcoin day? on: May 30, 2017, 01:08:14 PM
Yes! We need some bitcoin day! We the bitcoin users will having a bitcoin day, or for us a big day for us all. I think we will having all leaves, and holidays will be. We should or must have this kind of day, it will be a big holiday for us. Also for us to earn a lot, we need this kind of day
I am very happy if we as users of the bitcoin has today bitcoin because we will feel having time to take the bitcoin so it will be a big holiday for us and it is very need for us as users of bitcoin
I hope also they release bitcoin day date in the calendar so everyone can join . If we have bitcoin day for sure many people curious what is bitcoin and they make research about bitcoin and they see the opportunity of bitcoin to earn money and they interested to invest so the price will increase also. Mr satoshi I think he need to declared the bitcoin day. Everyone will celebrate on that day , relax, vacation with the payout in bitcoin. And I think good i idea if mr satoshi have website online accept bitcoin and have promos when the bitcoin day.

I think having a bitcoin day will be a good way to advertise bitcoin to people especially to people who don't know them. I am thinking of an activity where we go out in places where people mostly hangout and ask them about bitcoin, if they know it, we will make them great on the camera or hold a sign board that says happy bitcoin day, if they don't know bitcoin, we will give them some and let them try it.
4360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your biggest bitcoin regrets? on: May 30, 2017, 01:25:37 AM
I regret when the first i know about bitcoin that is year 2010 bitcoin worth 50$ only i really regret it. I don't believed on bitcoin that time so that i don't buy bitcoin but now if i can see the price i really feel sad. If that time i buy bitcoin i think this days am millionaire.

Yes even I have made the same mistake for not buying bitcoins at that price even though I was aware about bitcoins but didn't had faith that it will survive or it will go higher in future and if I would have bought bitcoins at that time then I would be holding more then 100 bitcoins at this stage and now its never possible to have 100 btc in wallet.
I think so many regrets happen, especially lately, because they sell the bitcoin they've sold at a price of $ 1000 or less. Well, nobody expected that bitcoin prices would be as high as this, in fact I'm also a bit sorry for having sold my bitcoin at a cheap price.

Yeah I sold some of my coins when it first touched the price of $700 before the halving last year as I thought that was the best price to sell bitcoins but during this year the price has started to increase massively which made me to regret for not holding my coins till this point of time as I have missed an opportunity of making huge profits if I would have saved my bitcoins till now.

You don't need to regret what happened in the past, what matters is what you can do now. Just look at it as an experience, a lesson to yourself. I've been waiting for these pump a for a year now, but I still save my bitcoin because I know that the price can still increase these weeks.
