Next he's gonna say you fucked up your WU transfer and now the price is not the same blah blah blah
And his response will only come now that you posted it publicly.

Where have I seen this before?... Roll Eyes

Bitcoinica Consultancy: You are full of shit when you say you already dealt with a good number of the more simple claims.
My friend who has a whole bitcoin(lol) in your service still haven't got a response after he filled your stupid claim form.
I guess 1 open position with a 1 BTC balance is fucking complicated for you to deal with.
Also, one question my friend asked me: Where are you going to return his Bitcoin to if you don't even ask for a Bitcoin address?

Just stop lying.

I'm not sure were you got that. Please show us the post so it can be altered. This is what we said:

Right now, we believe the best thing for all parties involved is that we continue with the reclaims process. We have investigated many of the claims but have many left. There were still claims being filed as of at least yesterday. Our intention is to have a secure platform where users can claim their accounts and everyone will be able to claims their accounts once the claims process is finished. We cannot offer a concrete timeline for exactly when this will happen but we are working as fast as possible. Please be patient. We are truly sorry for the grave inconveniences.

Really, I'm not going back to search, this thread is damn long. If that was all you said, my apologies for misunderstanding.

Now a simple question: How do you expect everyone to claim their accounts if you didn't warn them about the theft and the fact that the website went down? Is sending a simple email to your user base beyond your possibilities?
My friend only knew about it because I told him. And I'm sure there are many other users in the same situation.

Awesome, it's good to see some really successful btc business going on, even if we don't know what it is. It helps stabalize the currency because it ensures demand.

Nothing like putting all your eggs in one basket and hopin' to not forget where the key is to the coop.

Joey, tell Uncle Gavin that you can't find the key.

The hacker stole the key and melted it. It wasn't lost.
4348  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: http://www.pyramining.com/ - Mining Company on: May 23, 2012, 02:47:46 PM
I support that. because if you just leave p2pool, then it's a downward spiral and soon it will be dead. It really needs more hashing power. Even you taking out 50% from there, like you did, was a bad thing, and probably hurted the profitability of the remaining 50% that stayed in p2pool.
Ofcourse i would like to be rewarded more often Smiley

Hi, Bigrah. I don't like Solidcoin or Coinhunter but let me tell you that I hate the pieces of shit that post against SC or MC or whatever it's name is today lol

I'll list them for you so you can just press the Ignore button and have a pleasant forum experience without reading what the motherfuckers write:

Nachtwind (not quite sure what this motherfucker is, probably lacks a brain of his own)
k9quaint (sometimes I wonder if he's a human or just a dog! He likes to lick BCX's balls)
BitcoinEXpress (this piece of shit likes to pretend he's a woman, so probably he's nothing more than a faggot)
Cosbycoin (just a fool who can't think for himself, and most likely a BCX sockpuppet)
mlawrence (the most recent sockie bitch, also lacks a brain of his own and likes to lick BCX's balls)

Resuming: Just a circle jerk of faggots who are all probably the same faggot --> BCX

You seem to be one of those persons who needs someone to hold their hand whenever they are working with a computer and who panics over nothing and everything. I know lot's of persons like that, some of them younger than me. Just sayin'!

Hey mate, it's my fiftieth birthday tomorrow, so i'm assuming I have seniority in age at least! The hand holding I can agree with! There does seem to be a lack of straightforward troubleshooting faqs for this, and the ones that do, require a certain level of knowledge that appears to me to be out of the reach of non techheads. It is not  question of panicking, but a frustration at the lack of clear guidance. My wallet seems to have resolved itself after removing the dat files recommended, but I did have to manually download the blockchain, which, incidentally I found out for myself-no hand holding needed! I would still like to know why the wallet froze, and what the optimum settings in the preferences are?
lol

Well, like I said, some of those persons who need hand holding, or spoon feeding, like some call it, are at least 10 years younger than me, and given that I'm 20 years younger than you, you get my point... You are not the worst, for sure. I'll tell you what I tell them: Stay calm, take your time, read the tips that appear when you hover the mouse over things, if nothing else works, read the user manual(or ask for help). Cheesy

About the documentation: You must understand that Bitcoin is a Open Source project who doesn't have a company backing it, like for instance, Wordpress or Ubuntu, so the docs are a community driven effort.
Now that you learnt something, maybe you could head on to the wiki and share that knowledge with others that may encounter the same problems. I suck at writing documentation, so I'm not the right person to do it. At most I can contribute to the translation, like I do already for other Open Source projects.

Will refrain myself from congratulating you for your birthday because it's only tomorrow and I heard it's not good to do it in advance Wink
4351  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - Discussion Thread on: May 23, 2012, 12:02:10 PM
I guess the only thing I can say is: Thank god I have 6 GBs of RAM and happened not to be running much (relatively speaking), otherwise this program would have brought my computer to its knees... not that I can get it to get beyond "Loading Blockchain. Please Wait...", but it's the thought that counts, I guess.

ABSURD memory suckage: http://picpaste.com/pics/iiBPAcLr.1337767611.png

On my linux with only 4GB of RAM it takes a little more than 1GB of it and less than 1min to open the window.
Also, it seems you are forgeting that Armory it's still in Alpha stage, not even Beta.
It's not to use as your everyday wallet, not a chance.

I found -- after a long search -- the reason why it's using so much memory. If I had known when I wrote my previous post that it loaded the entire block chain into memory, it wouldn't have been such a shock.

It doesn't load the whole blockchain into memory anymore. But the more memory you have available in your comouter, the more it will use.
4352  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: No nodes??? on: May 23, 2012, 11:53:54 AM
No! Now the blockchain is there, it will only update the parts you still don't have.

Just check it has at least 8 connections to the network. If it doesn't, then that's a problem with your network, not with Bitcoin. You might want to do what I said and just forward port 8333 TCP to your laptop. If you don't know how to do that, check your router Instruction Manual.

How do I do that? I have a green tick on the bottom right of the wallet, three bars coloured, the small one red, next two yellow, and the fourth colourless. Is there anywhere with an explanation of the icons used? Where do I find if I have eight connections?

That tells me that you have the blockchain fully updated and 8 connections to the network.
Try to hover your mouse over the icons. It will tell you everything you need to know. Roll Eyes

Your wallet doesn't "download" your Bitcoins even if everything is fine.
All your bitcoins are on the blockchain, in every computer connected to the network.
Just don't lose your wallet.dat(the keys to the safe) and you'll always have your bitcoins.

Be patient and it will eventually download the blockchain. Double check you have at least 2 GB free in your HDD.
If there are no nodes you might want to forward port 8333 TCP to your computer local IP on your router config.
Try to turn UPnP on first, in the Bitcoin client Options, before forwarding the port.
