4361  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Liberty Dollars held by collectors subject to seizure as contraband on: September 08, 2011, 09:22:22 AM
YES they are fraudulent because they are called dollars.

we have many currencies in the us, mostly things like college currencies designed to give parents a way to give their kids money that they cant spend in bars or on drugs, but we have many currencies, NONE call themselves dollars, they are bucks, or something else, but not dollars.

It can confuse, dont think the only dollar is the dollar bill we have the Eisenhower dollar, the  Sacagawea dollar, you cant call your new coin a dollar.

The coins were marked with the dollar sign, the words “dollar,” “USA,” “Liberty,” “Trust in God” (instead of “In God We Trust”) and other features associated with legitimate U.S. coins.

you also cant mint coins no matter what they are called, but I find this law a bit weaker as they dont seem to enforce it against various arcades and parks which issue tokens to play with
Then whole honk kong is illegal!!!!!

4365  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoins. waste of money? on: September 07, 2011, 04:49:40 PM
They will understand bitcoin only when it will be too late. Suchs is how these things work. Maybe when everyone will use bitcoin they will understand. Then you will have them, they not.

But, forget to make them "understand" now, it's impossible
4366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in France: first legal decision directly related to Bitcoin? on: September 07, 2011, 03:06:10 PM
Remember, gold is not a money and bitcoin is very similar to gold

My colleagues and I have a patent pending on a machine that uses Magnets and a small battery to generate basically free electricity. The battery is used to get the machine started but once the machine is going the magnets keep it running in a perpetual motion.

Bullshit.

We have been looking for high profile detractors, a debate or panel discussion might work nicely.

Does anyone have any suggestions for detractors?

I'll send you a group made of bernanke, some of the sa trolls, some keynesian guys and some "hackers can hack anything, bitcoin too" ppl Grin

4373  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exchange accidentally sent 512 bitcoins after coding error on: September 06, 2011, 10:42:36 AM
And? Make it look like an error, people believe it->go away with money.

After all we are in the bitcoin world
4374  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exchange accidentally sent 512 bitcoins after coding error on: September 06, 2011, 10:34:10 AM
Since english is my secondary language you can't expect proper english from me. And this thread happens to be in the newbies forum while it should be moved to another forum. Why this thread is still here? It has nothing related to "newbies"

And as it was already said before, this can very well be a scam of the exchange
4375  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: EUROPEAN BITCOIN CONFERENCE 2011, PRAGUE NOV 25-27 on: September 06, 2011, 10:30:41 AM
We have already enough detractors in the world, no need to bring some at the conference in my opinion

I don't try to troll here. I don't try to stir up trouble, either.

Mmh....

SETI is a COMPLETE waste of money and I wouldn't donate 2 bitcents to your cause.

Go get some Military Grade Night Vision Infrared goggles and go out on a dark night and you'll find all the intelligent life you want to.

Send me bitcoins instead.

It's investment in pure science and ideas that have no immediate commercial return that often eventually produces the discoveries that give you the toys you so like.

How ironic that infrared radiation was discovered by an amateur astronomer and you choose this example when decrying SETI as a waste?!

You are a prize goose indeed bitrebel.

And somehow you equate SETI with discovering Infrared radiation?

You are the Goose, and a fool no less.
and may I add, someone who talks a bunch of shit out of their mouth and uses their brains for farting.

Julz I think you are of a more similar mindset to myself than bitrebel but I can appreciate his opinion:  finding aliens is not his thing Grin
We set up youtipit to reward people who do interesting and worthwhile things in all areas online.
SETI is a relatively large project but I like what they do and maybe others in the bitcoin community do also. Also this might raise bitcoins profile and show it in a positive light.

Finding aliens is not my thing?

There are 1000 god damn videos on youtube of alien ships all over the earth and space, live network news shots, over the dome in Israel, over Washington DC, on the 4th of July, videos by children, by grandparents, from, the US, Russia, Turkey, Yugoslavia, germany, france, and every country in the world.....

and you want to send bitcoins to SETI?

This is the reason bitcoin will never succeed, if it dies. Too many bitbrains, or not enough people with half a bit for a brain, like the OP.

My conclusion is that yes, you are a troll.
4380  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoins disappeared from my client on: September 05, 2011, 09:13:32 AM
It says you have 0 blocks.

Well something bad happened to the blockchain and now you have to download it again.

But your bitcoins are safe.
