4361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IMF urges El Salvador to remove Bitcoin as legal tender on: January 25, 2022, 09:04:52 PM
Bukele will probably not falter. With the image he created on the internet about El Salvador's stance on bitcoin, and seeing how deep they are in the crypto scene, they would not let the impression of the people change at all. I wonder how he will try to mitigate their losses on bitcoin currently, but sure enough he would not publicly state that they will sell at a loss because that's just bad money management (and bad for their image, too).

Guys, who watched Chinese DotA today? Please accept my sincere condolences))) GodKing was, as always, in his style of play, a 100% winning draft, unfinished barracks and a threatened game at the end.

This is just painful to watch. Most of Aster's initiation on that game is awfully good with that Mars, and they utilized him perfectly during their engagements. Normally with a Tusk lineup, that TB would have better chances of surviving and turning things around, but in this game, Felix performed quite poorly with delayed reactions, especially on the latter part of the game. They would have won it easily after they get the rax early, but that hold and buyback from that Viper and WK, with an expiring TB meta, made things complicated.

Excellent display of top-tier decision making and target priority from that Viper on the last fight. And that extremely tanky XXS Mars.

4365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you buying during this dip? on: January 21, 2022, 11:45:52 PM
I'm not buying to hold at the moment. It would be dangerous since during these times, a lot of alts are also being dumped regardless of whatever recovery they make. The best thing to do right now is to short bitcoin and top alts, and play with them until we enter the bear market fully. Your choices are not really bad to be fair, but then again, all alts during these times are susceptible to being played and dumped immediately afterward.

Personally I'd keep my money first, or play with high volume alts and short the hell out of them.
4366  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good moment to buy btc or eth? on: January 21, 2022, 10:40:37 PM
Depends on how much you have lying on your pocket idly. Personally I believe that the prices will still go down in the near future due to some weak hands letting go of their bitcoin in fear of losing a lot more in the process. Personally I would just wait for the prices to go even lower and buy them up immediately in hopes of flipping them for a profit. Of course it may be overly optimistic but from the looks of things, after the weak hands sell, it's just a sideways market from that point forward and one should not worry too much—at least that's the way I see it.
4367  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you believe Michael Saylor is currently getting antsy? on: January 21, 2022, 09:19:22 PM
I doubt they're worried even at the slightest. They have made a lot of money on other ventures with lots of pressures too, and bitcoin and crypto, IMO, is just one of those ventures that they have to face such situations wherein their backs are against the wall and they can't do anything. Sure they can sell, but that will ultimately destroy what they have built in the years. If ever they sell, it will not be all of their stash. Come to think of it, how many bear and bull markets have we encountered within the last decade? Sure enough there is a high chance that those things happen, and we are in the phase wherein everything is painted red.
4368  Economy / Speculation / Re: Under $39k, what's next? on: January 21, 2022, 08:46:25 PM
Short-term I don't think there's anything left in store for bitcoin. Currently we are pushing for the lower ebbs of $30k and we might see the price under it again after a year. Personally I think that's a good buy, but other people in the market, especially the doomsayers might say otherwise. It's yet another chance for people to grab cheap bitcoins before it pushes forward to higher highs. Perhaps a drought for a year is incoming, given that we have nothing but price rise within the last few years. No matter what happens though, I'd still hold and buy when I have the extra cash.
4369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: On which esports you place bets on: January 21, 2022, 07:15:33 PM
I usually bet on Dota 2 and CS:GO, though sometimes I bet on huge events on League of Legends whenever I receive a tip from my friends. I've been into the esports betting scene since the days of Dota 2 Lounge, and have earned some nice items and cash on it when I was just starting. Eventually though, the esports gambling scene became stale and I left it completely. New names going on to the sport means countless hours of watching how they play as a team, and I cannot allot more time to it anymore.
4370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia's Central Bank proposes ban on Cryptocurrency trading and mining on: January 21, 2022, 06:41:34 PM
They have been trying to ban any cryptocurrency related services, platforms, and activities as far back as late 2016. I don't buy what the Russians are saying, especially now that their economy is in trouble and there doesn't seem to be a way for them to bounce back immediately. They would try to muster all the economic advantages that they have to bounce back, and banning cryptocurrencies seems to remove one part of the equation that could ultimately help them recover.
4371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What’s the highest gas fee you have ever paid? on: January 20, 2022, 11:54:13 PM
Highest is $50 for a $340 axie back in September. Back then I didn't mind the fee given that the NFT game is still on its heyday. But honestly if there were some alternatives, I would have picked those in heartbeat even if it's much more complicated to accomplish. ETH network's gas fees is a growing pain in the ass for us dealing with ERC-20 tokens. Imagine paying fees greater than your intended purchase. Chances are you're going to be bummed about it and just not push through with the sale. I do hope that they find a solution that works, as ETH is basically everything for ERC20 tokens.
4372  Economy / Speculation / Re: Goldman Sachs projection regarding BTC on: January 20, 2022, 11:20:46 PM
$100k is definitely a reachable target. The question isn't how but rather when. We have seen bitcoin break previous records quite easily, even though it was projected to flop or get heavily dumped by speculators.

Also for a bank, Goldman-Sachs appear to be highly interested of what direction will bitcoin's price head to. They seem to release a lot of these speculations quite frequently, which makes me think that perhaps bitcoin is on one of their best interests too
4373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is an Altseason possible and which altcoins can surprise us on: January 20, 2022, 09:17:43 PM
We've experienced worse, and it's only just a few months since the market showed its bear fangs. Up to now we don't even know whether the market will take a beating or not, as key support levels are still not breached and the market appears to be on a sideways move since the last week of December. Altcoin season is still very possible, although which coins would generate the most hype, that I do not have the slightest hint on. Perhaps it could be from the NFT side of things, but I doubt it since people are already realizing that NFTs aren't that much of a value holder even short term.
4374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top Cryptocurrencies for iGaming 2021 on: January 20, 2022, 07:55:09 PM
I'm surprised there isn't any XRP on that list. It's certainly one of the most used cryptocurrency for gambling, too, given how fast the transfers are and how cheap the transfers can be no matter the time of the day. True that XRP as a coin itself might not be that good to hold in the long term, but for gambling purposes, it certainly is on par (or even better at times) on these coins mentioned. Never had any problems with XRP transfers in between casinos, too.
4375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin legal tender in Turkey? on: January 20, 2022, 07:02:39 PM
We don't share rumors here without any sources. At best, this is just unfounded speculation or hearsay. At the least, some media outlets might already make a hint about what's happening, but apparently there isn't any talk about Turkey making such a move. Either way, it is possible that Erdogan considers bitcoin for Turkey, given the economic hardships the country has faced as of late. But until then, this is just rumors and speculation without solid proof.
4376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will central bank digital currency (CBDC) make bitcoin worthless? on: January 20, 2022, 04:43:51 PM
I don't think bitcoin or any other crypto for that matter, will succumb once CBDCs come out. CBDCs are, in essence, just your fiat currency existing on the digital realm. Way easier to mint, way easier to change its specifications. Also, people would still know the difference between cryptocurrencies and CBDCs that it will not matter much to them. There are already deep roots thriving within the ecosystem, and deep pockets already involved in the game that will surely not want to see bitcoin fail.
4377  Economy / Economics / Re: Microsoft to acquire Activision for $69B is all about Metaverse on: January 19, 2022, 11:44:16 PM
I think we are connecting the word "Metaverse" with cryptocurrencies that much. The metaverse is, IMO, a word that describes interconnectedness of existing services and platforms through a single link. It isn't necessarily related to cryptocurrencies, as those who use it to brand what they do don't even have tokens or cryptos dedicated to it. As for MS acquiring Activision, perhaps they can step up the games that the studio is producing. Not saying that they haven't produced anything good, but at this point most of what they are coming up with are cliche games that have entirely predictable storylines.
4378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT a way to whiten the black money? on: January 19, 2022, 10:01:02 PM
It is, and I think you're not the first one to have realized this. Given the absurd amount of money some NFTs fetch, with how little effort they have to do in order to mint one, they are literally just making money out of thin air without anyone batting an eye. This is already happening IMO though it has not been completely looked into, or at least being considered as a possibility by the very people who are involved in the NFT market.
4379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling elementary tools on: January 19, 2022, 08:59:31 PM
You just need to have some common sense, and self control as it's crucial to know when to stop on gambling. If you don't know when to stop, in the end you'll just keep on losing lots of money and it will be a deep trench to get out of. You don't need some fancy knowledge or deep understanding of the games that they offer. These things will come naturally to you over time the more you play, so I think it's not really that much of a prerequisite of being an expert almost immediately on the game that you decide to be a part of.
4380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I keep getting calls telling me there are are few bitcoins blocked in my name. on: January 19, 2022, 07:43:11 PM
Consider changing your number at this point and let people know that you have since moved on to a different number. You are basically being targeted again since they know that you have been involved with crypto before and that they thought you could easily be scammed since you've already fallen into a trap before.

All you need to access your Bitcoins is the private key.
How do you get this key?

You get this key immediately after creating a wallet. If you haven't created the wallet yourself, you will not have this key unless[/u] the one who created it gave you the private key, or by any chance, you just cracked it through brute-forcing or other such methods which is deemed impossible at the moment.
