4361  Other / New forum software / Re: Can we "Like" a post? on: March 08, 2015, 03:39:20 AM
Please don't add a '-1'.

Is this feature confirmed in the new forum?

Or is theymos still thinking it over? Huh

Most of the features hasn't been confirmed by theymos but teasup sometimes gives a hint.

I saw a pic of some icons when the image was posted here and it included a '+1' icon. So I think it will be added to the new forum software.

This may not be a “social network”, but I bet people socialize anyway. Also, the reason I still think a Like button is better than a Thanks button is because most of the time you like a post (maybe it's an opinion you agree with, or a joke, or an interesting article, or something else), but don't necessarily feel thankful for that.

+1.

You do know his/her efforts of the post(s) is(are) to make others jump into the scam-scheme. So you are weighing the efforts more than the people who waste their money and time?

BTW, OP doesn't have anything more than what you said in other thread. Please stop this. If you really want to help others by announcing a service in local language, you should post without ref. link. Like Eal. told, if the thread is worth enough, then using ref. link maybe okay and it may not get deleted.

I think you probably want to start a thread with some ref. links of ponzi which claim themselves as *cloud mining*.

4363  Other / Meta / Re: newbie jail on: March 08, 2015, 03:04:59 AM
No, please. I think this will scare away Newbies not to come. Many people come to ask their doubts, questions, to announce their service etc... This isn't a good idea and even because of the time limit, people still complain. Newbie jail isn't good as time limit. So the current time limit is enough, IMHO.

I agree with SaltySpitoon!

@Bitcoin_BoY$: I think you missed this:

I don't think so if you added any other thing your address won't be updated anymore !

So how is it working? Can you do this: search for a 19 alhpa-numeric characters which start with 3 to be considered as the address? As it is put 1st, it would be easy right?

Are you working on the 'GET' feature?

Bit-X increased the pay rate. Don't miss this!

What do you think you are doing? [++ RATES THAN DaDice] Huh Really? Is this how you market your campaign?

This is the only campaign that mentions another "rates higher that xyz campaign in the title as well as in the OP". Great! Well done!  Undecided
As you see he just replied to DaDice.com Signature Campaign - ["The Best Campaign Yet !"] , also I think you need
now to remove that word  Cheesy .

"Best" doesn't mean higher pay rates. A campaign can be "Best" if it has better support, easy and other factors.

It isn't mandatory! Tongue

Just checked my bit-x account and saw some monies there! Cheesy  Thanks!

Also, is it required that we add our bit-x bitcoin deposit address in our profile?  Specifically where; the "other contact info"?  Also, does that address have to be the ONLY thing in that field?  Could I add more text afterwards?

You can add more but the address should be first. Check mine for instance. Smiley

P.S. Congrats!

I understand you frustration,

No frustration! Wink

I do see that kind of posting thanks to ultra high signature campaign payments, people are just reposting the same shit over and over again, but there's nothing to do about this, only a self moderated thread can deal with this since I don't bitcointalk has the manpower to check those kind of posts since it's not enough to see the reported post alone but to check for all the latest post made by him or others..

Reporting can do a lot. Yup, you are right! latest posts should also be checked.

@hilariousandco: Thank you! If it's not hard, can you please start a discussion?

Isn't spam considered as sending/posting the same message to multiple recipients ?

Another definition: 'Unwanted or intrusive advertising.' Search google or check in dictionary.

Maybe the posting you're referring to is considered to be unrelated other than a spam post.

Nope, if you check it fit the above criteria.

I think first few was for testing and it may have used for functions like deleting, banning etc...

You can sort members by sign up date. List is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=mlist;sort=registered;start=0

I can't see Hero Member and Legendary. Do you know why?

4374  Other / Meta / Re: Activity & new membergroup limits on: March 07, 2015, 03:12:07 PM
my activity didn't increase from many days..

Activity will increases when you reached the 14 points.
When you post a post in a Day 1 points will increases, I think you are not a daily poster. You post one day and then dont post for two or more Days. This would be the only reason that your activity is not raising.

No, you don't want to make 1 post per day. You just need to make 14 posts per 14 days, i.e., if you 14 posts in 1 day, you will get all 14 points.

As for MAsterV, are you sure? I think you missed a few weeks as you didn't post any.

This is common nowadays. People read only the first post, ignore the answers below and write their own to raise their post count.
There's a lot of dumb and ignorant answers in almost every thread, but what can you do?

Report them.

It would actually be reay helpful to know what is really considered as spam, lately i have seen senior members and hero members get banned for spamming or low quality posts wich is kind of scary

See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0.

I see you're the guy who Runs SAD aka Account delete service .

Yes! @OP: You can use that SAD-Service but there is only 2 posts.

You even left him neg rep . Funny thing

I don't see anything about it as it is a simple rule "No collateral! No loan!" especially for Newbies.

4378  Other / Meta / Is post like these consider a spam or not? on: March 07, 2015, 02:51:53 PM
Hello,

Is a post answering to a question which is already answered considered as spam? I reported a few posts like these but it wasn't deleted except 1 or 2 IIRC.

Example:

Question:
Was looking around for this. Although when I just logged in, haven't post anything, I tried to send a PM and it said my last activity is less than 360 seconds ago. Doesn't make sense... Does sending PM count as 1 activity?

First post:
Yes and so does logging in and attempting to post. Make sure you wait the full six minutes before you try do anything and you should be fine. The time you have to wait goes down drastically the more activity you get so you don't have to bare it for long.

Second post:
In the beginning you will have to wait some time to post, send pms, and other things

As you go up in rank this requirements dissapear

If you look at above posts, you can see contents of second post is same as first one. So shouldn't such posts be deleted?

Sorry for my poor English!
