4361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Death during illegal cockfighting raid on: October 31, 2020, 12:40:02 PM
It's very sad to see that a sport like cockfighting is considered one of the favorite sports of any country in the modern era. It is so barbaric and should have been made illegal many years, you are basically betting on the death of at least one animal as a form of entertainment. These birds are instilled with so much fear and are treated like dirt, no wonder the Philippines ends up with a person like dictator Duerte in charge. Any civilized society would outlaw this sort of cruelty as one step towards improving their society. RIP to the police officer involved.
4362  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Huawei and China on: October 31, 2020, 12:35:02 PM
The original post doesn't make any sense. I think it is obvious that the CCP has absolute control over every single Chinese based company. However the idea that a Chinese based company would not use a Chinese currency is as ridiculous as suggesting that an American company is directly controlled by the US government because they use the dollar. There are many reasons not to trust Chinese companies, but this seems like a bit of a moot point to be making.
4363  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Only the Fools are making the cartoons of Mohamed on: October 31, 2020, 12:29:18 PM
Only fools would get offended by someone drawing a cartoon. I don't know of any other religion in the world that is so weak, pathetic and unable to take criticism as Islam. It is actually quite an evil religion in many of the things that it does and is inferior to pretty much every other religion in that respect. I hope that all Muslims get educated enough that they will free themselves from this stone age caveman mentality. Cannot actually think of a single good thing that Islam has contributed to the world so far - no inventors, no philosophers, no original ideas - because it stifles creativity and ingenuity.

What does it feel like being a Russian misinformation rat?

Get some dignity and strive make the world a better place, rather that spewing toxic nonsensical garbage your whole life. All you do is try to divide people with your poisonous words instead of bringing people together. I wonder if you actually get paid by the Russian state or are just dumb enough to think that everything is a conspiracy in the world. Everyone should have you on the ignore list by default, you literally lose braincells by reading what you put out.
4365  Other / Politics & Society / Re: COVID-19 is Like Pee on: October 30, 2020, 03:25:01 PM
Those are some pretty good infographics, although not everybody will find the pee analogy to be tasteful. Sadly you cannot cure stupidity and people who think masks are ineffective do not have the brain capacity to understand simple science. Masks are useful to protect the weakest and most vulnerable in society - something everyone who is a decent person should want to do.
4366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If btc > $150k, will you still gamble it? on: October 29, 2020, 10:40:53 PM
It's a bit of an odd question, because the value of a whole bitcoin can be irrelevant when it has so many decimal places. If someone gambles 0.01 bitcoin which is worth $135 and bitcoin goes up in value ten times, that person would just bet 0.001 bitcoin to achieve the same effect. Gambling sites can even stretch it further than that by allowing you to buy "points" which represent a certain amount of bitcoin, if somehow the price went much higher. There are many ways to get around these barriers and you can be sure it will not effect gamblers very much.
4367  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto is not for the weak on: October 29, 2020, 10:34:43 PM
It's like many things in life - if you get too greedy or try to run before you can walk, then you will have a lot of problems. It is quite easy for a new person to enter into crypto if they go with a company like Coinbase and buy a fixed amount to just sit on. If you're looking for ways to multiply or get more bitcoin, that's where it becomes a lot more of a grey area. You also have to be more wary of any software you might be installing if you have large amounts of bitcoin, because hackers are increasingly targeting it. The anonymity of bitcoin could be one of its advantages, but makes tracking it down when it's stolen pretty difficult to do. As you say, learn and research as much as possible when starting out - take it very slow because there are a lot of devious people out there trying to get hold of your cash.
4368  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predict the bitcoin price range as we enter the New Year on: October 29, 2020, 08:32:53 PM
I think it's likely to be in the $15,000 to $20,000 range. It's hard to get more specific than that but with Covid surging in many developed countries around the world and stock markets falling again, there might be a bit of a peak as people are looking for new assets to buy. Digital currency seems like a great place to diversify into at the moment and allows people to move money across borders with minimal oversight from governments who might want to take a chunk of it.
4369  Other / Off-topic / Re: How To Read Deleted Messages On WhatsApp on: October 29, 2020, 08:09:25 PM
Looks like an easy way to get spyware installed on your phone with a couple dubious sources trying to make it look authentic. Why do you have to use oversized text within your threads? It is really offputting and spammy. Everyone should avoid installing software like this from random people who are promising sought after "hacks" - especially on a bitcoin centric forum (where people might have wallet software or email accounts installed on their phones which might get compromised)
4370  Other / Off-topic / Re: Scientific proof that God exists? on: October 29, 2020, 08:03:42 PM
It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the source of all humanity had to be from two humans and is nothing to do with whether God exists or not. The human species has evolved over many tens of thousands of years, through a process of natural selection (survival of the fittest). There were several human-like species which evolved from animals before them. The human species managed to conquer all of them, likely due to our larger brain mass - allowing more critical thinking and evaluation. It is hard for people who have spent their whole life believing in fairytales written by other people to open up their minds to the possibility of real science. It's really weak trying to make science fit into the boundaries of books like the bible.
4371  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we must study Economics at University? on: October 29, 2020, 07:28:23 PM
Economics is basically the underlying mechanism for how every country works and how people interact within it. Trading one source of value for another source of value, whether that is the time you are giving in return for money or the coins you hand over to buy a drink in a shop - it is what keeps society functioning and stable. A strong progressive society will find ways to become more efficient over time, making the best usage of all available resources, and economics helps to quantify those changes.
4372  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donald Chump: a Dimwit Man-Child made President on: October 29, 2020, 01:17:59 PM
It's ridiculous how that orange chimp ever got into power but it just shows you how far the reality-tv driven society has really fallen. There are many weaknesses that can be exploited within democracies and he took advantage of every one of them, because most people never thought that a politician would ever be that abusive. He has really damaged the reputation that America had left in the world and hopefully that can start to get repaired once he leaves office. It's unbelievable how many longterm treaties he has broken which were beneficial to the world and all the devious crimes he has committed.
4373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: can i start a btc dice site with 30btc? i have 15btc left now on: October 29, 2020, 12:51:57 PM
I think anyone with that much bitcoin would have the sense to figure out how to set up a BTC dice site, and yes you could certainly do it with 15 BTC left over. It might cost 1 BTC to buy an established bitcoin site (check out the digital services section of this forum) and you could use the remaining 14 BTC to fund any bets that people want to place and build up a reliable stream of advertising to get it established.
4374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Card Counting in Blackjack on: October 28, 2020, 10:28:46 PM
In my opinion, card counting is applicable to online and physical casinos. I think iit works better in online casinos because there is nothing the house can do. There are other solutions and the solutions above are applicable mostly in physical casinos.

It totally depends on whether you are watching a live dealer or simply at the mercy of an automated algorithm. If it's a live dealer, you could theoretically do card counting if you know the amount of decks involved and the shuffling mechanism allows it. There is absolutely no point in trying to beat the casino if it is a computer based random number generator because it will be manipulated to take away any possible advantage the player might get. Online casinos, like physical locations, are around to make profit for the owners - so they will take every step they can to ensure that happens.
4375  Other / Off-topic / Re: [2020-10-26] France is Racial Country, the reason to suspend from Bitcoin Sites on: October 28, 2020, 09:33:50 PM
What absolute irony "Let's demonized everything French because the French said we demonized people". The word you are striving for is "racist" by the way, saying "France is racial" makes no sense to an English speaking forum. Maybe if Islam wasn't infamous for attacking people in free countries and terrorism all around the world it would have a bit of a better reputation. If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's likely a duck. If I was French right now, I'd be proud for Macron speaking the truth and laugh in the face of parasites like Erdogan.
4376  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: good tip for newbies testing the markets testing the waters before jump in on: October 28, 2020, 08:22:43 PM
You gain absolutely nothing from this "style" of trading and can make the same observations without buying anything at all. In many parts of the world there are trading related fees which means you will lose money from operating in this way. I think you are trying to describe the term hedging, but hedging only works if you have already locked in gains from placing a good trade in the first place. Leverage is also a very dangerous tool and certainly should not be recommended to new traders. Only trade what you can afford to lose and start small. Nobody really wins at day trading, you're best off trying to make a strategy and work on ideas that will materialize within a 3 month timeframe.
4377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Multi bets vs single bets on: October 28, 2020, 07:07:17 PM
"Accumulators" as they are known are one of the biggest and best sources of income for gambling (sportsbook-type) institutions. That should tell you that they are not a good thing for gamblers. They are one of the best sources of revenue because the odds are heavily stacked against the person placing the bet - they might misunderstand the mathematics behind it and tend to think of it as a simple win/loss equation, but you really just end up with 3 chances to lose in a 3 way bet. It's similar to betting on a roulette wheel in many ways and everyone is aware that there is no way to beat the house edge in that scenario. If you have to bet on a regular basis, as your previous experience shows (although it is a insignificant sample) - then you'll get much more consistent results by placing individual bets. I always stick with single bets unless there is a very special offer that makes an accumulator worthwhile.
4378  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin cross $15k in end of 2020 on: October 28, 2020, 06:23:02 PM
It seems likely from the current trend that Bitcoin will continue to keep going up for the rest of the year. I think there is a bit of a spike due to uncertainty surrounding the American election - we won't really know what will happen until that major event is over. Lots of rich people and asset managers are trying to diversify as much as possible at the moment. Once the current second wave of Covid is over around the world it will also provide a bit more clarity and economic recovery - when people tend to me back into stocks instead of assets like gold/bitcoin.
4379  Other / Off-topic / Re: Sleeping on: October 28, 2020, 06:04:23 PM
I try to get in about 8 hours each day, however sometimes it ends up being 6-7 hours if there is a lot on at work. 8 hours seems to be the best for me personally, because it always leaves me feeling fresh and sometimes I get a bit groggy when getting in less hours. This seems to be the average that is recommended based on many different surveys, so that's always a good thing to follow.
4380  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the Digital Yuan makes China even more powerful? on: October 28, 2020, 05:50:39 PM
In order for any currency to be popular and used around the world people need to have some trust in the government. It has become more apparent over time that the political elites in China have little respect for other countries around the world and are all too quick to bully other countries into submission. The default stance of "you have offended the Chinese people" every time something does not go your way has gotten rather boring now and it's these sort of actions that means any currency under the control of China will not receive much respect.
