I was really shocked to see this high domination by Valencia today. I really wonder how Atletico Madrid let them play with the ball this much even though they still won by 1-0. Valencia had a 70% ball possession in the match. Thanks to Griezmann the win came to Atletico Madrid but I don't think Simeone is contented with this result. They need to have control of the match if they want to have consistent results throughout the season. I can't even imagine them against Barcelona and Real Madrid now.

Chelsea are playing an away game against Southampton tomorrow. Southampton were actually good against Manchester United last week. But they were really bad at finishing their attacks with goals. I think that they won't be too different against Chelsea too. Actually Chelsea should be able to defend them better than Manchester United. But I just doubt Chelsea's attacking side now. Because they still haven't signed a striker and this is reflecting on their performance a lot. Chelsea played nice against Leicester last week despite playing with 10 players. Let's see if they will make this effort again.

It isn't a very surprising thing to me. Maybe people are surprised with PSG's drawing with Monaco because of being used to seeing PSG win most of the time. But when we examine the head-to-head games between PSG and Monaco we can see that the results are not much absurd. Because Monaco are still not a very weak team against PSG even though there is a visible difference. Messi was not good at all in this game by the way. I didn't see his contribution much and the goal they conceded came after he lost the ball as well. Mbappe could have been the hero by the way if he didn't miss a big opportunity to win the game.

The main event on this week is obviously Union Berlin - Bayern Munich.

Union Berlin have started the same as Bayern Munich by collecting 10 points. Their last game must have improved their morale a lot as they demolished Schalke 6-1. By the way Schalke might relegate again considering their very poor start but the season is still long of course. Bayern Munich crushed them 5-2 here last season. Bayern Munich have a very impressive performance lately. The result against Gladbach shouldn't be misleading because their effort there was really high too. I think they will make up for that result by beating Union Berlin.

The week is going to be closed up with the Valencia - Atletico Madrid game.

Atletico Madrid are favoured obviously but I don't expect a comfortable win for them. Their performance wasn't good at all against Villarreal the last time and they lost home by 2-0. Their beginning to this season is not much different than Valencia's. I expect to see Atletico Madrid improving their effort here but it would still be hard-fought win by one goal I think. 1-0 or 2-1 are very probable results for this game like their last game here ended by a 1-0 Atletico win. Simeone mustn't be contented at all with this start by the way. If they have another troubling season then maybe he can really quit his job this time.

It is sad to see Juventus still being in a similar condition compared to the previous season. I don't know how much the team performance would change after Pogba returns. Because they need to improve their performance as a team rather than needing the help of one man only. Actually there were more positive things in the Roma game but this time they were very clumsy about finding the target on their shots. If this goes on during the whole season then they might not stay in top 4 this time. Because Roma's effort is better than theirs now and Napoli are also doing very well.

We see Arsenal at the top in the standings now. They won all of their league games so far however I don't think they have faced a real competition yet. Their opponents so far have been easy to defeat for them. They could have almost lost points against Fulham too by the way. Therefore I don't want to be prejudiced about Arsenal yet. Of course they have built a great squad and solved their productivity problem. But if they have poor results in the games against the biggest teams of the league then they might not get what they want exactly from this season.

It is really hard to understand how Bayern Munich left two points in the Gladbach game. It was a pure dominance honestly. Bayern Munich had this kind of a poor result before against them in Allianz Arena as well. They are just unlucky against Gladbach I mean. But this shouldn't change anything for them. They have a huge attacking strength and we would continue to see the demonstrations of it during the all season.

I'm happy for Dortmund to win too. After that shocking Bremen loss they needed this. But I still don't trust them fully about being consistent.

Aston Villa - West Ham was the toughest game to predict today. Both teams made a terrible start to the season but at least Aston Villa won a game. However I had a feeling like West Ham might have got their first win of the season. They did it but especially their first half performance was horrible. They barely won the game with a late goal. I really don't know what happened to this team. Because the same team were fighting for the upper positions last season. But maybe they can recover later as it is just the beginning.

It was a solid weekend for Barcelona and Real Madrid both. Lewandowski had another great week by scoring two goals. This dominant performance is really promising for the rest of the season. But their job isn't easy against Real Madrid at all. Because Real Madrid are no different than the previous season. It was another clear win for them against Espanyol. Benzema and Vinicius Jr are still making a wonderful duo. Benzema scored two goals and Real Madrid must be very contented with not even thinking about replacing him with someone else.

There are various sources claiming that Manchester United are really close to finishing the signing of Antony from Ajax. But for example Transfermarkt says that Ajax already rejected a 90 million euro offer. If this is true then things can be difficult for the Manchester club. Ajax are very stubborn about not losing him in this transfer window. But the player is eager to reunite with his previous manager there. If they make things too difficult for him then this can affect his performance badly maybe. So I wonder what Ajax's last decision will be.

Napoli don't have an easy game today but their last away games against Fiorentina was in favour of them. They can win this game as well after having a good start to the season. Maybe the opponents so far weren't very tough for Napoli but we have still seen many positive signs in those games. It isn't easy to make a very good start after losing some of your important players. Osimhen is a really important striker for the team now and Manchester United are after him right before the end of the transfer window. But I don't think this will happen.

We watched a similar week to the last one for Tottenham. They improved their performance in the second half once again and secured a win by 2-0. Harry Kane missed a penalty and it was like another opportunity for Nottingham to fight for the equalizer. But Kane was again there to make his team relieved by scoring his second goal in the game. Kane was the summary of this game at the end of the day.    Maybe Tottenham continue to win but their recent performance makes me uncomfortable. Conte should find a solution for this to make the team play focusedly during the whole game.

Barcelona - Valladolid game has started. It is normally a very comfortable game for Barcelona and I'm expecting a solid effort from the attacking trio of Dembele-Lewandowski-Raphinha. Xavi's game plan is working like a clockwork these days and I expect it to be like that throughout the season in the league. They are just unlucky sometimes even though they are in full control of games. But I don't think this will be a hindrance for them to maintain their claim for the league title this season.

After the draw against Atalanta, Milan needed to win against Bologna this week. There is no surprising result now. Leao was the man of the match by one goal and one assist. Milan are still lucky to have him here rather than some bigger team signing him by paying a big sum of money. As you know Real Madrid had some interest in him in the past. Giroud is continuing to score also and he has the respect of the fans. It would be better to see Origi in the game also. He must have been brought here to have him in the starting eleven in time.

My choice of over 3.5 goals failed for the Bayern Munich game today. Bayern Munich should have been able to score three goals at least  But their efficiency ran out in this game despite controlling the game completely. There are some times that even they can't win no matter how hard they try. Gladbach are keeping them at this level very successfully for two years. Bayern Munich would make up for this next time.

Both teams to score was a good choice for the Sevilla game as I said. Even though Sevilla scored first this was still not a hindrance for Almeria to win by 2-1. Sevilla have made like the worst start of the recent times. They have collected only one point after three weeks. While people are waiting more positive news about them they are just making things even more difficult for themselves.

It was such a lovely day in the league. Liverpool literally finished Bournemouth by 9-0. After a few weeks passed I saw Liverpool this much solid for the first time. Trent's goal was the best one I think. I love him even more when he supports the attacks in this way. He can have attempts like strikers sometimes and he has a special skill for that too. Salah were very ineffective which was awkward to see in a game like this.

Real Madrid normally have a comfortable week now but their last result against Espanyol here was interesting. They lost by 2-1 then. Actually they had a big dominance but the main problem was with their finding the target. However things may be different this time after this great start. I still expect a close score actually so maybe this time they can win by 2-1. Both teams to score might be a good option because Real Madrid conceded one goal in each game they played so far.

My bet on both teams to score won for Lazio - Inter game. However I wasn't expecting Inter to lose this game like this. Even though Inter found many more goal chances they still lost by 3-1. Everything happened in the last fifteen minutes of the game actually. Pedro did a great job in this time period by scoring one goal and making an assist as well. He is still really helpful for his team at the age of 35. By the way Lazio won here by the same score last season too. They still kept their superiority over Inter by this season.
