4361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: blockchain.org redirects you to tronscan.org? on: October 13, 2020, 10:29:04 PM
I thought it was really stupid. Unfortunately he continues to use his money for this type of marketing. The name blockchain is very strong and probably used a lot. Too bad he bought it to redirect to TRON. Blockchain.com is one of the most well-known sites.

It is still fairly new, based on https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/tron.org#section_traffic

Yes, he has a lot of money so he will going to used it to make more money as he is willing to take that risk. I wonder though why blockchain.org didn't acquire it. Anyhow, Justin has it and are going to take advantage of it, marketing wise. And I'm sure he knows the value of this domain name in crypto space and having that will be a big boost to his TRON project.

So maybe after 90 days we can go back and check the websites stats and see how it grow.
4362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 13, 2020, 09:56:04 PM
So how are you guys feeling about next years odds?  I am not surprised that the Lakers sit at the top, as I'm sure Anthony Davis and much of the team will be back.  I was a bit surprised to see the Golden State Warriors so low on the list.  I would think if they have everyone back and healthy, they will easily be competing for the title.  Regardless, it's great to have a much more even playing field back in the NBA , almost like never before ( at least any time recently ).

There are a lot of surprises in that odds, of course Lakers will be on top. But how about the Heat though? And then Bucks? Boston and GSW? Anyways, it's too early, there's a lot of things to happen with those teams, and even if GSW is back healthy, we really don't know as they are going to somewhat reset everything again.

The only thing we do hope is that this pandemic will be over, and then basketball be back with fans watching because it is so much part of basketball and any other sports for that matter.
4363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 13, 2020, 11:50:26 AM
While I'm looking at one picture of Butler sitting and just head down with disappointment, I feel the guy. He has done his best and made the series long and he's one of the best contributor to the team. Just the last game he didn't scored that much just as his normal game play.
Mad respect to this boy.

I think this could be one of the memorable NBA finals we had, I mean we have the pandemic, no fans, other basketball players doesn't want to play because of the threat of the virus but eventually the games resumes. And then Butler leads the Heat to the finals, produce one of the best performance of his career, down 3-1. So you can understand the disappointment of him sitting down and probably thinking he can do more in the series.

But Lakers offense and specially their defense was on the dot that night. You can really see how the Heat have difficult time in the first quarter to score because of the air tight defense.

4364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Card Counting in Blackjack on: October 13, 2020, 11:06:18 AM
I'm not really sure if people here are familiar with this cheating in an online black jack.

So it's possible that even if you go on live betting, online site will fine a way to beat you if you are doing card counting. So I would say that it is not applicable to card count in online casino. And the more you think you can trick and thinking that you can won big against them, the more money can you lose chasing that 'dream' of yours.

4366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 12, 2020, 10:09:15 PM

That's 13th French Open title for Nadal among last 16. It's nothing new for him. Iga Swiatek is the surprising new talent for this grand slam. Clay court and other courts (Grass, Hard and Carpet) are a bit different for players. How good she is on other courts is still to be seen. She have stated that Nadal is her idol as a tennis player. We could expect these two to win again next year if they maintain their fitness.

it is a rather bold statement to put Nadal and Iga Swiatek in the same sentence, as they both would win something
Iga just started, it is a big surprise, and as far as things are going in tennis, she could be kicked-out in the first round next season, saying that i hope that she will continue to play good tennis, but Nadal proved himself in last two decades as "king of clay" and it is just not suitable to compare him to Iga, no matter how good she is

I agree with you. Swiatek is a talent, but the top at the Women side is broad and I expect that we will see a lot of different Grand Slam champions every year. The only one we maybe could win a couple of Grand Slams is Osaka.
On Men side: as long as Nadal is fit, he will always be the man to beat at Roland Garros.

And besides that, the women side is totally unpredictable, we might see someone rising the ranks wins a Grand Slam, but after that she goes on the slump. So it's not that consistent, we have seen this many times before, like Osaka, after her good run, she change coach then her performance plummet.

So it remains to be since for Iga, she maybe good in court, but there are other surfaces that she might find herself in a difficult situations are other ladies are better than her. So she needs a lot of improvement. But the thing is, time is on her side, she is still young and can really developed, let's see how it goes.
4367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese central bank to airdrop 10 million digital yuan on: October 12, 2020, 12:55:53 PM
I think the world's major economy will step into the adoption of digital currency by 2021-2022 and it will also be a global exposure for crypto and blockchain technology. In these moves of China, they are already the first country to adopt the CBDC issued digital currency this is interesting and how the U.S will respond to this development, the U.S- China rivalry in almost everything will be tested again in the field of digital currencies, so can we expect a BTC-DYuan fair soon? Grin

I don't know if they are the first one though, Venezuela has Petro and Russia has crypto rubble.

However, I think those two has failed to deliver as it wasn't able to gain the trust or at least Venezuelan and Russians didn't participate and patronised those digital tokens. But with China it's different, they take it slowly goes on a lot of testing, including this airdrop. So I wouldn't be surprised by 2021-2022 this is full blown and we will hear how successful it was for the Chinese and then they set the precedent.
4368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Teofimo Lopez Lightweight Unification fight on: October 12, 2020, 12:06:08 PM
I'd try to search for the latest video about this fight and this is what I got, from the Lopez camp, specifically from Lopez Sr.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRTAJIvnOxM

He is also talking trash and very confident that his son will beat Loma. And he is saying that the last 3 fights of Loma was all with a C-fighters. And he says that his son will break Loma, because Jr, is an intelligent fighter, but I think the betting public and the bookies thinks otherwise, as Loma is a 4-1 favourite.

He even questions the way Loma's father is training Vasily, it sound though that Lopez Sr is obviously an old school training.

I'm beginning to like Teofimo Lopez camp's confidence, they will eat their trash in the ring as Loma though fighting C-fighters but he is still an A-Fighter who can beat an A-Fighter, Lopez should preserve that confidence in the ring, I don't want to see him  fighting with no confident left as he was already releasing it all before the fight.

Who wouldn't like this kid? I mean he has all the wares and tools to be a good fighter? But sometimes too much talk really damage their reputation specially if they can't back it up? Specially against a good fighter like Loma. And sometimes this kind of fighter was not the same after the lost. They could have suffered mentally after a devastating lost and they make a fool of themselves with that thrash talk.

So I do hope that his father's mouth won't ruin him because he has a bright future. It's different with the fighter themselves talk big mouth, but when a father training gets involved emotionally, it come come back to haunt them.

Yes, @hulla is correct, not all slots will be available for a certain country specially Netent, but it doesn't mean that you can't play any slots anymore as there could be slots that are not restricted. So you might find you countries to be in the blacklist and yet was able to play slots.

In my case, my country is on the Netent blacklist, and this is the lists of online slots that we may have to missed playing.

I think this was probably one of the best played games from Nadal and worst from Djokovic, resulted in deserved 3-0 win result.

Perhaps Rafa is so focused on this game, specially hunting for his 20th grand slam.

Even if Nadal was slight favorite before the start, nobody expected to see 6-0 in first set and all to finish in less than 3 hours, and all stats was on his side this time.

Right, that 6-0 first set was unexpected, I thought it will be closer, could be 5 set, but then again, Rafa is unstoppable in clay and not even Djokovic can stop him even in his best days. So still the big 3 or 2 at this moment as Federer is injured, still dominates the Grand Slam. And yes, Rafa didn't lose a set in this French Open again. And his record 101-2 on clay that was close to perfection.
4371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The impact of the SQUARE and MICROSTRATEGY purchase on: October 12, 2020, 10:00:20 AM
Even so big news gives us only +700 usd in price. Im not sure that this cause really big hype around the industry

Not just because we hear or see something like this bitcoin will jump that high, but at the current price, a $700 + is already huge. You see investors are also getting smarter, we are not in 2017 anymore wherein a news really creates a lot of impact be positive or negative, but this is a good start as the price is pushed to $11k++.

And it's better this way though, instead of seeing a obvious artificially pump of the price wherein it will be followed by a huge crash and then people bitching around that bitcoin is no good. Let the ecosystem have it's normal flow, so to speak.

Yes, I open up a thread about one of those scams here: Yield farming Unicats allegedly stole $200k thru backdoor code.

And what's scary though is that this is just the beginning, the hype on Defi is still there and <insert name here>.finance will continue to flourish as long as there are investors who are willing to hand over their hard earn money to this cyber theft.

I bet on Heat this game and I think that worked out though I am also rooting for LA Lakers to win. Maybe because it is the team that's popular but because I have no choice since Miami Heat defeated Milwaukee Bucks and I just wanted for Lakers to beat Miami.
Nice! I don’t think anyone thought that Miami would win after Game 4. What odds did you get on your bet?

Sorry but I am not betting on sites, I am just betting with my friend, we bet on each other. If he picks something that I think would win I do some +2 or +3 on the scores. This time there are no additions since he just bluntly told me that Lakers would win. Bit scared at first since they are wearing the Mamba uniform but they still won.

We also did the same here, but just straight up bets, with no plus or minus. Just a friendly bet though, two sets of office mates setup. Just $10 each, unfortunately, I did choose the Lakers side the last time and lost the bet. Yes, that's the main reason why I bet on Lakers because that Mamba jersey hasn't lost when Lakers wore them, unfortunately, Heat won.

And now I'm on the Miami side, Lol, I'm just thinking that they have all the momentum going on Game 6, just my opinion. And if you look at sport bookies the ML is also attractive, so I'm still thinking of I'm going to bet or not.

Odds aren't that good for me but I'm still gonna stick with Miami ML.

Odds for OT or not at 12.35 is really tempting Grin Has anyone placed a bet on that?

~
Miami ML
May the Vegas gambling lords be upon Heat bettors in game 6 Cool

Too tempting, but no go for me mate, Miami ML is still attractive at 2.8 (sportsbet).

Although I'm looking at the draw per quarter now thats tempting,  Cheesy. But I might get burned though, so much better to stick to ML go all in for Miami as I don't want to spread my bet.  Cheesy

In the women's division, there is a bit of shake-up, as a 50+ player lifts the trophy for this year, Iga Swiatek. She won against a disgruntled Sofia Kenin in straight sets, 6-4 6-1. She re-wrote a lot in women's tennis history.

  • become the youngest women’s French Open champion since 1992 at the age of 19
  • 54 the lowest-ranked woman to capture the Roland Garros title in the modern era
  • She is the first teenage champion since Iva Majoli in 1997
  • Swiatek also became just the second unseeded women’s Roland Garros champion in the Open era, joining Jelena Ostapenko who claimed a shock title three years ago
  • She eclipsed the run of compatriot Jadwiga Jedrzejowska — the most outstanding Polish player of the interwar period — who finished runner-up at Roland Garros in 1939
  • Swiatek was only the second Polish woman to reach a Grand Slam final in the Open era after Agnieszka Radwanska at Wimbledon in 2012

https://www.foxsports.com.au/tennis/french-open/french-open-2020-iga-swiatek-def-sofia-kenin-score-result-video/news-story/d4fedb29e9447eed0d7f73a8f6d79f96

The future really looks bright and could be very well compete with the top 5 women's now.

We never know, but if AD would indeed not available in game 6 then I believe Miami will have an edge and Butler would not be having a problem attacking inside, and Bam as well.  But according to this article, Davis would play, so Lakers are still intact.

https://clutchpoints.com/lakers-news-anthony-davis-reveals-update-on-his-game-6-status-for-lakers/

Quote
The Los Angeles Lakers were given a proper scare in Game 5 on Friday against the Miami Heat, with Anthony Davis appearing to have sustained a significant ankle injury that kept him on the floor for a a couple of minutes.

As it turns out, however, it was nothing but a minor tweak, and according to Davis himself, he should be good to go for Game 6:

Will AD be able to play at his fullest though? Now that Bam is also on the court, someone would have to guard him well too.

I believe he can still play, he played with pain in game 5 and manage to score 28 points and 12 rebounds, that doesn't seem look like he has a problem with his heel, and that update was coming from Davis so he is still good to go, nothing to worry.

Good, it's good news for the Lakers if AD can play because they really need him in the floor, it not they Butler will have his way going inside with no one to challenge. I just rewatch the highlights, it seems that the supporting cast of Lakers underperformed when it was needed. Damn, Danny Green's three point was clearly short, it was a well design play, and then Morris? WTF?

And the post interview, Butler was obviously very very tired, we don't know how long can he manage and play and bring Miami to another championship
4378  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bet Agent on: October 10, 2020, 01:01:45 PM
I don't trust sites that's working with gambling sites with bad reports like BET365 and 1xbet this bet agent is good for gamblers who has country restrictions, I love to see an independent review about those who already used their services and how they satisfy their clients .

Usually though, and in this case, a supposedly broker didn't check any history of shady past and scam accusations on some online sites, unless they have been called upon. But so far the OP didn't come back to answer all the queries.

It's a new third party site we don't know we are dealing with I prefer going to a more reputable sites, and there are many questions that are not yet addressed I hope OP can log in and answer all the inquiries.

And as an experienced gambler, we shouldn't try any new sites, unless you have money to spare and test it out. So I wouldn't dare deposit and try this service, so far I haven't had any problems with regards to geo or country restrictions.
4379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis: French Open 2020 on: October 10, 2020, 12:41:37 PM
It's the men's final that everyone predicted... but who is the favourite? If anyone is interested, I've gathered the relevant stats:

  • Nadal has got to the final without dropping a set, but Djokovic has dropped 3 sets as he faced tougher opponents in each round - 1 in the quarters, 2 in the semis.

I think this is what' important, at least for me, we thought that Schwartzman will be a big test for Nadal. But as the way thing turns out, Nadal didn't give any breathing room to Schwartzman and won in straight sets continuing his massive game of not dropping a set.

It could be that Djokovic could give Nadal his first set lost, but it doesn't matter as long as Nadal won in the end. Also Djokovic defeated Stepanos in five sets, so it must have been taken it's toll on his body, while Nadal will be fresh as he disposes Schwartzman in 3 sets. Another concern is Djokovic supposedly injury, so it's also a big concern.[/list]
