This is task of bounty manager, if they allow spammy hunters in their campaign, the campaign is likely to be trash anyway, and you are better off  it.

I do report spam posts if I come across them but I won't be going out of my way to do so.
4382  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Binance account help on: February 21, 2021, 03:39:24 AM
Although it looks binance's fault first and last, not responding to customer troubles, it has said often to not put funds on exchanges - they can get hacked, exit scam or unfortunate incidents like happened to op.
4383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction fee much higher than what I will be sending on: February 20, 2021, 11:11:29 AM
bitcoin and ethereum has a very high transactions fees now
i think its better to exchange your bitcoin to tron or doge first, then after that you can send it to your local exchange with low fee my friend
regards

That will also need fees right? Conversions aren't free?

^ gold have little liquidity on uniswap, so even small buy/sell would make big movements in price.

Many other ethereum projects moved to binance smart chain to avoid ethereum's high fees, could it be possible for gold to move to it as well? I think it will be good workaround until ethereum manages to scale itself.
It could be a matter if the binance network will growing up like ethereum, cause a lot of projects right now use binance chain, possible in the future fee will be same as now. one solution is by creating an own blockchain like other coin does.

Structures vastly different, even if lots of projects migrate to bsc, fees won't be as bad as ethereum. Creating own blockchain when there is no need is waste of resources.

Bruh you be you, yeah it sounds clinche but if you do what you think would impress others, there is no genuineness in it and will put off other people.

4390  Local / Press & News from India / Re: Crypto Earnings Should Be Taxed, Says BuyUCoin In Draft Document on: February 16, 2021, 05:09:57 AM
Many already pay tax on crypto earnings. May be it's too simple, but gov don't even need to think too much with framework and things, just regulate local exchanges and tax the conversions. It's win-win situation.
4391  Local / India / Re: India Banning Cryptos on: February 16, 2021, 05:01:31 AM
Well, this was unexpected. The information I got from my source was different. It's bad to see that government is still skeptical about cryptocurrencies. I am not very positive about the word 'private'. I don't think government is being technical here and referring to privacy coins. The term 'private' here, more or less referring to the general meaning i.e. the ownership other than that of government.

I am also not very positive about the term 'exceptions'. I don't think it is being used to exclude some of the current coins like bitcoin from the ban. Rather, it would allow certain class of people to create cryptocurrencies. I think this is a kind of corporate favouritism. Since most of the big companies in India have already invested alot in blockchain technology, government will allow them to host their own coins. (Government being controlled by the corporate, this isn't something new we are witnessing, right?).

Anyhow, the details of bill still isn't available in public domain. Let see what it contains when it will be presented in Parliament. Sad

There's a spelling mistake in the word cryptocurrency in the last sentence which creates a doubt in my mind if the source is actually true.

The image is not from the official bill. It's rather a list containing all 20 bills to be presented in upcoming Budget Session. Such mistake can happen, nothing special.

These were my thoughts too. Even after the RBI's previous bans were overturned, there's again gonna be some kind of banning of crypto. And you bet that the government will start promoting their own/cryptos that are made for certain private companies like crazy. I'm hoping for this to not pass during the Budget Session on 1st Feb, but what the hell, it probably will and that's just sad, even after more people embracing crypto, its still being held in a negative light by the government.

I sure hope trading and exchanges like Binance can still operate in India, atleast let trading be legal. Otherwise this stifles the tech in India in people are just missing out. Here's what I want to know though: Even after the ban, can people still trade on platforms that do not require KYC? Can people keep the BTC that they have currently and use it for BTC transactions, without exchanging for fiat in India?
Due to the anonymous nature of BTC, I think yes people can still hold and trade it on dex or exchanges that do not require kyc buy it is going to be risky affair. I don't advice to do anything against law.

do not yet come to any conclusion, Government has been playing with the mind of the Indian cryptocurrency community since 2018. They have signaled that they will ban it many times but the biggest question arises How?

There are more people on the internet in India than anywhere in the world, Is it practically possible to ban cryptocurrency which is also known as Internet currency. I do not think so!

When Pakistan is trying to regulate and China is also how can you think this Indian government will ban crypto?

They certainly can't ban but it can affect/scare away the user base of crypto in India, in just last week or so usdt price came down because of this ban news.

I see that this tool does not give anything without entering your own address or email.
They don't display ads, so they can profit by selling data. Wink Wink
Will they try to sell this information in the future, or will they not publish the spam to my email?
Why do I need to enter my ETH address to get an airdrop or get notifications in the future?

That's paranoid but ok. Email is nowhere to be required unless you want to be notified of new airdrops.

Regarding ethereum address, how would system know if your ether address is eligible for airdrops if you don't enter it in first place?

Do you have to hold the same amount of ETH to receive airdrops? I got like 15 cents worth of ETH but am not sure if it would be worth claiming those miniscule airdrops.

Yes, you have to make a claim transaction and with current gas fees in mind it needs like $40 minimum in eth. Don't claim unless you know it's worth it.

Is this only for the Ethereum network or can I enter the BSC wallet address?

Only ethereum.

4394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / [Tool] Check if you missed any defi airdrops on: February 13, 2021, 12:13:22 PM
Website: https://claimable.vercel.app/

How to use?

Enter your ethereum address and click go, it will show if you have any airdrops to claim.

That's it.

4395  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Investing ADVICE FOR BEGINNERS FROM A BEGINNER on: February 13, 2021, 04:47:58 AM
Your starting point is wrong, for beginners investing at all shouldn't be the first priority, how can a beginner know the difference from a bad project and good project? Beginners need to learn how what makes a project stands out among others before taking risks with their money

What if person is 'investment' beginner? What op said is true imo, you should rather learn your lessons with $1k then going all in, plus when money is involved you rather learn those lessons faster.

How do you increase the ranking for beginners?

Is that the most important thing for you here?  To rank up?   Why??

Even without money perspective, lifting of those back to back posting restrictions is treat in itself. I'm not sure if those restrictions were in place when you joined.

On second point, the 'big' you are the more promotions you get, you are ought to take these people's words even lighter.
4399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your opinion on SafePal project and Token future on: February 11, 2021, 03:38:08 AM
The bullrun will not last forever and you should try to think to sell some of your coins to anticipate the bearish trend that might happen anytime. SFP is still getting hyped and look at the current price. It has been dropping from 35 cents to the 25 cents. I have sold my SFP at peak price and earn 300% from by initial buy rate.
That means if you should never hold this forever. Just buy again when the price was dipping.

If you don't mind sharing, on what peak price did you sell?

There are lot of defi platforms but almost all of them wash their hands of with 'vulnerable to smart contract hacks/risks', so there isn't really anything that is risk free.

Okay I thought De-Fi was like peer 2 peer networks or like torrents where there's no centralised point on the map to hack or target.

So you saying the smart contract part of de-fi is exposed to hacks? How can a de-fi coin get hacked or targeted?

Xrp Ripple for example is centralised where the SEC can easily target them like they did.

Please explain.

The centralized party is replaced with smart contracts in defi, and those smart contracts are codes which are not perfect, they can get hacked, wallets can get drained.
