4382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: February 12, 2021, 07:17:49 PM
OK guys this is my first time entry here, so I hope I got this right. Screenshots and then text selections. I saw the public spreadsheet that tyKiwanuka made that's pretty cool buddy!

Now I put only thumbnail here, is that preferable or does everybody want it full size?
Welcome to the thread and the multimasters competition.
Yes you did it correct as some people post one or the other with just their share this betslip option given by the site included with their post.
But it is not needed but most have included it.
So you post it how you want to so if you want to be included in tyKiwanuka's table the famous fame points he distributes to the winners of the week. Wink
The posting of the actual betslips are really just a preference or if there are prizes given out by steve with an announcement here prior to the start of the week's competition. That is the only real time you are required to do this. But once again, it is totally up to you and you will not get scorned about posting one or the other.
So this should clear up anymore concern or questions about this moving forward in the competition's submission format.

I have always done this (included a screenshot of my bets for the multimasters in my posts) and will continue to do so in the future. Cool

Here are my selections for this week's multimasters:

Also the link to the betslip is not needed and most have included it thinking it is a replacement for the posting of the screenshot to their bet.
But it is not, because as tyKiwanuka has already mentioned in his previous post, the ability to use the shared is no longer available once the first match starts.
So that being said, the link below I have provided from my bet will not be valid and you will not be able to copy the shared bet once the first match begins, which is in about 25 minutes. Undecided
https://sportsbet.io/sharebetslip/4ca6274b-7fbc-4180-8ac4-0b870670edbc
So this above shared bet link is not needed to be posted and do not see why so many have done so.
But it once again it is totally up to the person to post it the way they want to on the this thread.
Unless there is a prize given out announced by Sportsbet.io prior to the commencement of the first match.

This should be clear enough now. Smiley
4383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beat the BetBuilder promotion thread - win prizes from Sportsbet.io on: February 12, 2021, 05:59:47 PM
Here is my betslip just for saying I am an active participant in the betbuilder challenge. Really why not? Grin

As you can see from my example above, you can put in a betslip each day this competition is running just as I have done with this submission.
Not needing to place them all at once as you can just edit your previous post where your first betslip is (the above is just for an example, used my freebet anyways) and add the addition submissions to make them add up to the three minimum required to qualify.

Good luck all who have already put in their betslips so far and for all who wish to participate after this post. Wink
4384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beat the BetBuilder promotion thread - win prizes from Sportsbet.io on: February 12, 2021, 03:27:27 PM
My entry for this BetBuilder promo, I could not find 25.5 on cards market but it is basically the same as 29.5 since it is impossible for booking ponts to end on a number between 25.5 and 29.5  Grin
I noticed this mistake too as I had seen 19.5 and 49.5 offered prior to my posting those guidelines of how those markets offered for the betbuilder we will chose from.
I typed in 25.5 instead, forgetting it was 19.5 points (actually combined it with 29.5 to come up with 19.5 Roll Eyes ) as the minimum of the market for that particular match I used as a template.
But it can be anything you like to be honest. As some markets allow for betting O/U on 69.5 booking points maximum in some matches. Smiley
So it is totally up to the bettor on what they chose for this one market for the competition.
4385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: February 12, 2021, 03:22:01 PM
I'm linking mine as well: https://sportsbet.io/sharebetslip/de72d17d-978a-43c9-80ee-9a067da1577e

@tyKiwanuka, please give us a shout if there's a specific format you'd like us to post in. The table you're doing is great but probably takes a lot of effort from your side so if there's anything we can do to make it a bit easier for you, I'm sure we gladly will.

Regarding the MM - a lot of home favorites. It will be interesting to track what games we chose as surprises.
This should be fine, since the betslips posted on the thread were for just when sportsbet offered the prizes to be paid directly towards those who made the leaderboard here on the thread so it was just a precaution to make sure there weren't any fatfinger flubs. And you don't need any human errors when btc is concerned, am I right? Undecided
Just to make sure those who put up their selections here in the plain text format actually have put in their picks and wagered on the site. And have those very same selections as they have put up for all to see.

The table is for fame points more than anything else and just a way of seeing how we all fair against eachother in this friendly competition.
Nothing more,  nothing less.

But as TyKiwanuka has already mentioned in his response to your question on the submission of your selections,
the plain text format is just fine with him and does not need the betslip link to be included. They just go null once the first match starts anyways.
So if you were wanting to have it non-ascii, then best to post your screenshot of your betslip for the multimasters.
As this has been what I have been always doing since I started to post my picks up on here from the beginning.
But to each their own. Wink
4386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beat the BetBuilder promotion thread - win prizes from Sportsbet.io on: February 11, 2021, 04:05:23 PM
The jerseys which will be available as the entry prizes to be given out during this weekend's matches on February 12-15th for all those league play
are the same away red with white stripe I had been told by steve.
Same as the one shown in the promotional picture of the Sportsbet.io partnership between Sportsbet.io along with Southampton below.
4387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: February 11, 2021, 04:01:32 PM
^^
Had noticed it up just 10 minutes after you posted the list of the matches above.
So you might be the winner of this week's competition being the first one to see it. Wink
If only that's how it actually worked. Undecided

Anyways, there is a new beat the betbuilder challenge for those who are wanting to join in on this one.
As there will be a free Southampton jersey available for ALL who participate in it.
Last weekend there were 4-5 who simply just put in their betslips to receive an Arsenal jersey from steve without needing to place in any of the winning spots.
So it is a win-win for all who see this message and go to the thread to enter in:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5307559.msg56320175#msg56320175

Good luck to all who participate in this new challenge offered by Steve a
4388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beat the BetBuilder promotion thread - win prizes from Sportsbet.io on: February 11, 2021, 09:20:12 AM
@Trofo @tomahawk9 @leea-1334 @Turquinito @slaman29 don't you want Southampton jerseys that won't cost you 1000 euros? Wink
Sure I want it, I am missing that one to complete my collection. Just not playing my bets yet. I am always betting just on the games that are played on that day so count on me to be among the last ones to post Smiley

@rdbase
Can you post betting limit in ETH as well? I am currently betting in that currency. If that complicates things no matter, I am getting my clubhouse rewards in BTC, I just have to remember to save one for this purpose. While I am on this topic does anybody know what is the max amount in ETH when I am playing multi insurance (for BTC it is 25mBTC)
Eth price is tends to follow the btc price but it wasn't available to use on the site when I was placing bets on some specials.
I had a post about it a long time ago on the Ann thread but when the price of both were 5x lower than they are now. Cheesy
But just to keep it uniform towards all participants, it might be better to keep it in btc for now atleast.
But if it's a problem, I can accommodate your request as I use ethereum on the site from time to time.
So it is not an issue for me to do this when it does pick up in the number of participants of this thread for future competitions/challenges brought forward by Sportsbet.

Southampton jersey just for 0.36 mbtc is too good to pass up i'll post my entry within the next couple of days since I haven't checked on the matchups.

does anybody know what is the max amount in ETH when I am playing multi insurance (for BTC it is 25mBTC)
With the help of Sportsbet's BTC and ETH prices on the bottom of the page 25mbtc is roughly 932 euros if we convert that to ETH that would be 0.65~ ETH.
Thanks ralle14 for the current conversion rate of eth->btc->fiat. But these numbers would be different by the time he places those bets just by my guess on the eth price changing drastically. Wink

It was a very annoying night for me as Spurs got knocked out, definitely hope they spring and turn things around. To be scoring so many goals is a good sign though against Everton,,, so my betbuilder will for sure contain Spurs.

I did not claim my Arsenal jersey yet (we all get it for participating right?) so I will make a claim together with Southampton one:) Thank you for organizing and for reminding!

Yes you can request to have them both sent out to you at the same time as this would give steve an easier time to followup on just the one winner of two sponsored Sportsbet jerseys. Grin

And yes again everyone who participated gets a jersey which includes in the following competition for this weekend's matches.

This reminds me. I missed to include Serie A in the leagues to choose from and going to include an extra day meaning February 15th is available to place your bets on for this week's challenge. Only because Bayern Munich are going to be playing their match this day. Cool
4389  Economy / Speculation / Re: Asteroid more value of precious metals worth $10kquad than the entire world on: February 10, 2021, 11:47:58 AM
Musk will discover Asteroid but metals value will not be free. a lot of resources needed to send a probe to that planet, do mining and return to Earth. It requires money and investment, and many companies will try to implement the same ideas.
Humans will continue to struggle for resources even if they are over the stars, and this conflict is what earns them value.

I think he is more interested in making bitcoin the currency of earth and maybe have put it aside to explore this asteroid for now.
From the most recent events he seems to be fully vested in his next capital venture.
Make BTC moon before going to this rock in space looking for more precious metals. Smiley
4390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beat the BetBuilder promotion thread - win prizes from Sportsbet.io on: February 10, 2021, 11:39:23 AM
Congratulations to the winners and I hope you have collected your prizes from this past weekend's competition by contacting steve as he posted for you who had betslips put in to do.

So that being over let's all move on to the next challenge. Grin

We will be having a EPL/Bundesliga/La Liga/Ligue/Bundesliga Beat the betbuilder for this weekend.
So you can choose minimum 3 matches from any of the above leagues to create your betbuilder bets.
The markets for this challenge will be of the following:
1. Winner of the match ML
2. Total goals scored Over or Under by the end of the match
3. Number of bookings via yellow or red cards given. O/U your choice of 25.5 or 39.5 during the course of the match
4. Corners in total Over or Under

There you have it!
Your betslips need to have all those markets in order for you betslip to qualify.
Choose from any of the leagues listed above and post three betbuilder betslips from the described markets 1-4 for your submission.
Matches which are played on Friday February 12th all the way to the Sunday February 14th will be accepted to enter.
Minimum required wagered amount per betslip will be set to 0.12mbtc inorder for it to be a qualifying bet to win a prize. Smiley

Prizes for this week's challenge:
Given in free bets on Sportsbet.io by Steve so once you have won you just need to send him you username on the site and he will credit you accordingly the following week.
The prizes are 3mbtc for first place, 2mbtc for second place and 1mbtc for third place.
The amount of total bookings will be the deciding factor of a tiebreaker if it comes to that.

The winner will be the one with the most correct betslips out of the three you are having to submit on the thread.

Everyone who submits their betslips (all three betslips required to make an eligible submission) will receive a Southampton jersey courtesy of Sportsbet.io and with their next match against Wolverhampton this is the reason why these have been selected to be given out as prizes for all who participate in this week's challenge.

Good luck with you bets for this weekend's challenge on the Beat the Betbuilder thread!
4391  Economy / Economics / Re: The GameStop drama and what does it mean for Bitcoin on: February 10, 2021, 11:22:30 AM
GME, AMC, Nokia, BB, all would have kept going up, but there is always someone left holding the bag and the gamblers on WSB were all talking about cashing out at 1k/share. I think you probably would have seen the stock tank long before it got any where near 1k. Once Elon Musk tweeted out WSB, you had a bunch of new comers into the stock marketed that bought in at 300-400 who would have probably sold the moment they doubled their money.
Now you mentioned Elon, what the fuck he is doing lately pumping random stuff? I don't buy it that he really likes bitcoin, doge or GME. Bitcoin has been around for more than 10 years. He knew it in 2013 even before. Suddenly he found god?
The game is bigger than that he acts like he is trying to make a point. Like, I don't know the whole financial markets are straight out bullshit? I don't know. He looks like he definitely has a problem with somebody. Could be a hedge fund, could be the SEC or the central banks or maybe the whole Wall Street.
Whatever it is, I hope he doesn't become another McAfee.
Elon is an eccentric billionaire, very very eccentric.
The guy single handedly caused Bitcoin to skyrocket today because he announced Tesla will be including BTC in their financial portfolio and will start accepting BTC. I mean, good for Bitcoin I guess?
Elon isn't your typical liberal billionaire that will tout the line for dem's, I don't mind him.
It just goes to show wallstreet where the REAL smart money is and it aint them.
After the GME show-off of what many, many investors of a failing stock can do when they work in unison against the opressers and towards a worthy cause.
Of course in the end there was money involved so those who got out in time reaped the benefits of their good deeds.
Good on them.
And towards musk, I am not certain if he is you typical eccentric billionaire because would he not a capitalist then? Undecided
4392  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk goes against Vlad of Robinhood full discussion on GME/AMC stonks on: February 10, 2021, 11:15:53 AM
Vlad the ceo of Robinhood did recently do another interview where he was questioned of these pending lawsuits put upon his company for the event which triggered so many to be locked out of trading on gamestop stock.
He wasn't as lively as he was during his with elon on that day, let me say that.
Quite sobering to be honest. It was with bankless so you can view it for yourself.

Elon musk did have a failure to launch (or should I say land) a month ago so he isn't perfect by many who have put him out to be.
As he even trolls himself and his companies many of times in the past.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khUYNDoMpXM

Doesn't anyone else find it kind of funny he pumped up the price of bitcoin with just one tweet of Tesla buying 1.5bln worth of BTC and his other hobby of a job is running a rocket company?
To the moon! Cheesy
4393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake.com announces Israel Adesanya as their Global branded ambassador on: February 10, 2021, 05:54:56 AM
It is indeed rare to see some online Crypto platform to put aside funds for such an amazing ambassador , it is not only good for the company itself but your choice I believe is really good. I hope he can use this platform to improve the condition of people in Nigeria and at the same time if we remember correctly the Nigerian banks are thinking about blocking the banks involved in crypto transactions which means people won't be able to play online Crypto gambling that easily , this choice of ambassador might come out as a strong statement for the government itself which would be amazing .

You are helping not only the people of Nigeria but as a whole I believe your site would also get even better crowd now. Congratulations!!

Well as Stunna has already pointed out in their previous post, the deal made for with Adesanya's team to be an ambassador for them was all accepted in bitcoin. Kind of like what Tesla is doing with their electric cars with accept bitcoin as a form of payment and being the first in their sport to do so.
Kind of like a crypto pioneer in a way. Grin

Yes I agree with you as this would give the people from his homeland the opportunity to accept cryptocurrency as the main source of living well and without need for any issues to do with the current system.
As someone from there had already pointed out with Nigeria on the brink of becoming a crypto country.
So hopefully this would be a match made in heaven for all sides can reap the rewards at the end of the day.
4394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Crash? on: February 10, 2021, 05:40:43 AM
Any asset managed stock, fund, moneymarket, hedgefund can crash.
So bitcoin is nothing different.
If the huge whales wanted to crash the market, they can if they co-ordinate to do it all at one time.
Just look at what wallstreetbets reddit accomplished in a short amount of time for stocks GME, AMC, and silver a while ago.
They did not stay at those levels for very long because the corporate money came in and they had help along the way with entities in government to make sure they were safe.

4396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla buys $1.5 billion in Bitcoin on: February 09, 2021, 08:43:41 AM
This is an insane power move.

I wonder if he had to get approval from a board of directors?

Elon Musk is a charlatan. That being said. This is good for bitcoin. If other big companies follow suit we could easily see the price go to 6 digits and never come back down from there.

The risk involved can't be understated though. Bitcoin could go down 90% and turn that 1.5 Billion into 150 Million if the wind starts blowing in the other direction.

This is absolutely fucking crazy.

When one has the stars aligning on their side... well you know the rest. Wink
Space X, Tesla, Power city, Doge->Bitcoin you can see something big was going to happen sooner or later.
As many has said already as if he was just testing the waters getting into crypto just to see how people would react to seeing him rave about a cryptocurreny, and that being doge with that lone tweet saying: Former CEO of Dogecoin a while ago.
So now him ranting about purchasing a ton of BTCitcoin to the world and getting it done the right way by filing with the SEC shows he made the right power move, as you have put it.
This is the next step indeed.

$1.5 billion it's some serious cash, and the way that he makes it public was because he knows he is an influence. And
if he makes a bet tons of people will follow him.

It was a wise move to make it public, and now we can see the consequences...ATH!
This has been made public from many sources that it is 15% of Tesla's worth. So putting this kind of amount into something means they will be storing it for years to come and don't expect it to be dumped onto the market again since they will be accepting bitcoin for payments inexchange of their company's products.
"You will be able to purchase a Tesla car with this form of currency." is Elon's exact words.

DOGE to the moon might make it to the front page this morning instead of Superbowl news Tongue
You were right in a way, since it was BTC+Tesla hitting the news stands.

You can see it in the price charts all in the green today.

As for the question about if other subjects than multimasters is to be discussed here:
Yeah that should be fine since it is dedicated to any promotions sportsbet.io have to offer and the sole reason I didn't label it as a Multimaster thread. Wink
But when multimasters is going on we tend to focus our attention on this only.
So until then, discuss away! Cheesy
4398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla buys $1.5 billion in Bitcoin on: February 08, 2021, 03:17:46 PM
Elon is a sly dog, shilling DOGE on Twitter to create a diversion whilst he quietly accumulates bitcoin. This is the start of the institutional run to bitcoin. Bezos next maybe? This is just the start of this bull run, it’s going to be epic boys & girl!
While I think that people are a bit too market-ignorant to blindly follow the shills of big names on Twitter(Elon, Winklevi, etc), I really didn't like their shilling of DOGE. If they were to shill an asset, at least shill something that's not a meme, and something that they actually have their money in.

Elon Musk has been buying bitcoin for a very long time, not to mention that it is not possible to buy $1.5 billion worth of bitcoin and not see the price go up at least $10k. the market is big but not $1.5 billion big. on most exchanges it would have only taken a couple of millions to break the $40k resistance.
It's most definitely OTC though. The same way Michael Saylor's MicroStrategy did it.

Did you like the doge commercial somebody made with Elon's voice explaining how it will be the currency of the earth? Cheesy

Here is a bit of fun before the BTCig game begins in 5 hours from now!

4399  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 08, 2021, 03:03:36 PM
Yes I feel like this is a weak pump after such news. First Musk pump lasted shortly. Let's hope this one will be better.
It's not doge for sh*ts and giggles. He's already seriously endorsed btc more than a week ago and said he regretted "not buying it earlier" which is a strong hint that he bought. And since he's loaded, he must have bought a lot. This time is a confirmation. He'll have to buy a way bigger chunk next time to pump it that much. Or he'll have to reveal a previously bought bunch Wink
He seems to be experimenting with his buying of BTC to see how much it pumps up on this drop in the bucket for him.
Next one might be bigger if he wants to pump his bags of whatever he holds and hedge them. Unlike what Portney tried to do but failed miserably. Angry

So maybe Elon was already buying btc and doge even before the time that he was tweeting about crypto. And now, we are hearing that they just invested in bitcoin. I believe he also has a bunch of doge in his crypto portfolio and other important alts. Really great news to the crypto community, big boost in bitcoin price, finally surpassing the 41k mark.
Every tweet he has done have had an effect or moved these markets of those assets either in a positive or a negative way.
So there is not denying that he does have an influence on anything he mentions about on his platforms or in podcasts.
I think cointelegraph said upon this news breaking it had caused bitcoin to break it's all time high.
I wonder what doge is at now since there was supposedly a superbowl commercial of it with his voice over in the background.
I first thought it was a parody made by a youtuber but then some people have said they saw the advert on their feed.
So don't know what to believe now. Embarrassed
