Crystal Palace made a really impressive start actually. Maybe they lost to Arsenal first but getting one point in Anfield and defeating Aston Villa after that is a really nice job by them. However I don't believe that they have much chance against Manchester City in Etihad. Manchester City had a really unexpected result like 3-3 against Newcastle last week. They'd like to make up for this unwanted result here. Haaland is in great shape already at the beginning so I think it's worth betting on him to score as well.

It has been reported that Manchester City have received an offer like 70 million euros from PSG for Bernardo Silva. However they have rejected this offer as well. I wonder whether their mind would change in case they get a 100+ million euro offer from a team. But I don't think so because there is a little time period left for the transfer window to end. They would struggle about finding another solid player to replace him.
I don't think Man City is a club that lacks finances. it's clear why they turned down a huge offer from PSG. besides, it would be difficult to find a replacement in such a short time. it would be a loss for Man City. but there are rumors that Bernardo Silva wants to play at Barcelona. although Pep himself has said he doesn't want to lose Bernardo Silva. so we still don't know what the fate of the rumor will be. Will Barcelona be willing to pay a higher dowry than PSG's offer? Barcelona had better not pay this amount of money to sign him. Because they are already in a financially bad condition and they are trying to register all of their recent transfers on one hand. In these circumstances signing Bernardo Silva would make things even more difficult for them while there is not much time left for the transfer window to be closed.

Almeria game is important for Sevilla to pull themselves together. They started with zero win in two games. However Almeria isn't going to be a comfortable opponent for them. Because they even made things difficult for Real Madrid two weeks ago. Sevilla can even have a bigger difficulty while they are in a poor condition. For this game my pick is going to be both teams to score. Almeria to score the first goal would also be a nice choice considering they scored first against Real Madrid.

The main event of the day is going to be Bayern Munich - Gladbach. Bayern Munich are already in a very solid shape at the beginning of the season. Gladbach are also among the teams that started well. Interestingly their last head-to-head in Allianz Arena ended up by Gladbach's 2-1 victory. It was very unexpected but it isn't an incident that can happen very often against Bayern Munich. We will see a solid win for Bayern Munich hopefully. Over 3.5 goals can be a nice choice for this game as Bayern Munich's productivity is at a very high level now.

Chelsea aren't a reliable team recently. Their huge loss against Leeds was a good proof for this. They still need to sign a striker to solve their problem with scoring goals comfortably. Leicester are also not in a good shape maybe but I still can't be sure of a win for Chelsea. Even if it happens I think it would be by a one goal difference. It is going to be a really challenging season for Chelsea if they don't finish up a striker transfer soon. They can finish the season at a lower position this time.

I don't see any difference for Atletico Madrid this season. Simeone is of course not changing his game plan and their performance is very similar to the previous season as a result. Villarreal punished them really well last week. It was more than most people expected surely. However I was still feeling confident about Villarreal to steal one point at least. Because Atletico Madrid struggled too much in their game here last season as well.
Simeone tried to put his back three back in last week's game which made it clear it was quite difficult for them as their midfield wasn't going well. Even though when they do the same thing with their 5-3-2 formation I think it will be a little better because even if their midfield is weak but the 5 defenders will obviously withstand attacks from the opponent and they only need to do Counter Attacks like they did in the match their first but Simeone wanted to try something new and he failed. Simeone had better choose the right tactic and game plan for the Valencia game ahead. Atletico Madrid have struggled to defeat Valencia in away games in the recent years. Valencia's current condition doesn't seem much different than Atletico Madrid's now so there is nothing holding them back from getting a point in their home game. Atletico Madrid should focus on benefiting from Morata's form. He started the season by scoring a few goals already and he seems to be their biggest card here. |

Juventus - Roma is one of the biggest games of the week. Roma have made a better start than Juventus to this season. Juventus are still dealing with some issues as it was very clear in the Sampdoria game as well. Roma have improved their attacking side much more now. The new transfers are adapting well to the team and they are one of the biggest candidates for top 4. Maybe Juventus have an advantage of playing in Turin but I think Roma have the strength to steal some points from them.

It is a terrible beginning for Liverpool after three weeks have passed in the league. However this isn't a huge problem for Liverpool yet. We are only at the beginning of this season and they would improve their form in time. The Bournemouth game on this week is a great opportunity to do this. Bournemouth also started badly and they have near zero chance in Anfield. Liverpool should be able to get a comfortable win finally.

Depay is still here and maybe he can even stay for the season despite the rumours linking him with other teams. In this case even if Aubameyang leaves Barcelona would still have a nice replacement for Lewandowski in the subs. They can't sell Depay and Aubameyang both now. A really tough game is waiting for Inter tomorrow. They had big problems on defeating Lazio away in the recent years. It was a clear loss last season for example. This can be another time they lose points against Lazio too. But this time Inter should be able to put up a better fight with their new attacking duo. This game can end up with a draw with goals so both teams to score might be the best choice for me.

Like it happened to most people I also think that Group C is the most difficult one. Bayern, Barcelona and Inter all can advance to upper round. But when it comes to my prediction, I think Bayern Munich can finish the group as the leader and Barcelona would follow them right behind by a close gap. Hopefully Barcelona won't fail this time. Inter are a powerful team but Barcelona can collect at least 4 points against them.

The opening game of the week is going to be Southampton - Manchester United. After having a very important victory against Liverpool I started to believe in Manchester United more. This can be the beginning of a really nice streak in the league. Southampton are not an opponent to be underestimated of course. Manchester United will need to keep the game under control as much as possible. If they carry their latest effort to this game too then they should be able to win this.

Mane's departure affected Liverpool and Bayern Munich both significantly. Liverpool clearly have some problems with their usual attacking pattern in the absence of Mane. They had really big difficulties in the Manchester United game.
On the other hand, Bayern Munich are doing a great job with Mane now. He is playing like he was used to play for them before. His contribution with goals is already at an important level. Mane is really a game changer for any team he goes to.

After tearing Real Sociedad apart Barcelona have an easier game on the horizon. Valladolid wouldn't be a big deal for them. The players seemed very confident in their last game. I assume that many of us expected a competitive game there. Lewandowski has adapted very fast so this means that Barcelona won't need Aubameyang much from now on. Chelsea are still fighting for him to finish the deal quickly. I'm sure one win won't mean much because it's still possible for Barcelona not to play consistently. Barcelona is still likely to lose even though in terms of quality Barcelona is better than Real Valladolid. I would not underestimate anywhere even if they are not as good as a top team like Barcelona or Real Madrid. It is reassuring indeed when we see how Barcelona struggled to win the match against Real Sociedad last week. It was a big win for Barcelona and also for their players. Lewandowski has also adapted well to Barcelona's current strategy and his two goals at Real Sociedad are proof that Lewandowski is the player Barcelona need this season to fight for the Laliga title. So let's just see how Barcelona struggle to consistently win match, it doesn't matter if someone or you think that it is an easy match, but don't underestimate other teams. Of course there is no guarantee for any team in the league to have a wonderful season. Consistency is key for the teams fighting for the league title. For example I assume most of us expected a comfortable win from Barcelona against Vallecano. Their performance was very impressive to do so as well but Vallecano were lucky to get one point anyway. This kind of results are a part of football. However hopefully they shouldn't have the same incident against Valladolid as well. |

Liverpool's current look reminds me of the season Manchester City made a very bad start. They had serious problems for a long time but didn't give up and became the winner of the title by a significant point gap as well.
I don't know if Liverpool can do the same. Because this isn't an easy task for any team to do. They need to get lucky on this road as well. For example Manchester City can already be far ahead as you've mentioned and this would end the hopes of being the champions for Liverpool.
They can still bounce back because if you look at the current state of the league, it would be very funny if they gave up just because the results of the 3 matches they started were pretty bad. I think it's too early to give up and this is not Liverpool. What they have to do is keep improving themselves because indeed they are already quite good in the game but their luck and their goal productivity are weak. Of course I don't mean that Liverpool would give up. It is only the beginning of the season and there are many games to be played. However Klopp should act faster about finding the root of the current problem. In the Manchester United game, something attracted my attention. After Mane's leaving the team Liverpool have been affected really badly on the front. They were struggling to find a player like Mane who liked to help the midfield and shape the attacks of the team. If Klopp doesn't create an alternative to this then Liverpool wouldn't still be comfortable about having a good form. |

Milan were the better playing team against Atalanta but this was still not good enough to be victorious this time. Atalanta did a good job by maintaining their lead for a long time and after that they still did their best not to lose. I accept that it was one of the tough fixtures for Milan but they must continue with minimum point losses for retaining their title.
By the way Napoli have been the most impressive team for two weeks. Maybe Monza were an easy team to defeat but destroying Verona like that deserved the appreciation.
True. Milan played way much better but in my opinion , Atalanta had pure luck last night as even the goal they scored was with chance. Also , I didn't saw the Champion of serie A on the pitch last night because Ac.Milan performance was poor as well and if they want to keep that Serie A this year they will have to work as twice as much than last year because Juventus and Roma might be the great surprise of this season. Today I do think both Roma and Juventus will win and take 3 points. Roma did what they were expected to do and won. Maybe it wasn't the most comfortable score but I still saw very positive signs in their effort. However Juventus let everyone down by getting a 0-0 draw. Even though they have really good attackers somehow they failed to score even one goal. Considering that they had really low amount of shots it must not be related to their attackers. The midfield is still not at a satisfying level. Pogba would take his place in the starting eleven in a few weeks. |

I assume that the reason why Manchester United are searching for a goalkeeper is that they want to have a reliable substitute. Because Henderson has been loaned to Nottingham Forest and they have only the 36-year-old Tom Heaten in the subs.
The newest alternative seems Kevin Trapp. Manchester United are getting prepared to offer a salary around 8-9m million pounds per year. He has an experience with PSG for some years as well so he can be a nice choice to rely on when De Gea is absent.
