Be careful : Hacked database of passwords of all usernames is used to change your profile (and so, your password) without email notification (and so, your email linked to your profile). Please change immediately your password with one that Bitcointalk don't have seen since ... 2014. Please change email password if 1 of the password have been seen per Bitcointalk in your profile. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2272567.0 Based on the discussion surrounding this post, I changed my password. Surely, when there are these kinds of security breaches - of supposed hackers actually getting access to actual passwords, then surely we are at a more vulnerable status, and yeah, I agree with Meuh6879 (and his alt of necessity) that changing passwords should require some kind of verification - yet I suppose they may have their reasons for the current set up. 1) I can relate that it is can be difficult to get your account back once it has been hacked, and it may even be possible that you are not able to get it back. I had two incidents of losing access to my account in late 2016. 2) I had been using an autofill feature on one of my browsers for my password, and when I made this current password change, I had some issues regarding the autofill feature, which caused me about 5 sign-in attempts with the wrong password. Luckily I was able to log-in with the correct password on about the 6th attempt because I figured that sooner or later I was going to get forced locked out of my account, and then I would have become another statistic.... ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) you think jimmy buffett is buying shares of bitcoin now? $6000 choo choo :-D weeeee

Bang out some free cash, get rich doing nothing, and don’t dream about owning the coming $500k real bitcoin. That’s for only for real players. Like me.
See that?
Have you seen @Anonymint’s latest: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2268216.0;all (also available on archive.is) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2259054.0;all (also available on archive.is) I’m not yet up to speed on the technical reasons that for example 2016 BTC transactions are not recorded on TRB blockchain? Is it because of the version number thing? I haven’t expended the effort to run the TRB client and study the source code to try to figure it out. Too busy on my altcoin project (and health recovery). I think I am okay with not owning that TRB going to $500k in 20 years, because I expect my altcoin corporation (yeah I know weird but stay tuned) to outperform that significantly. I have provided the links in the above threads to the research which proves that proof-of-work can not remain decentralized if the transaction fees revenue dominates the block reward revenue. The consensus incentives no longer work, thus a whale/mining oligarchy must form else the ledger forms into innumerable forks and dies. I can defeat Wright on any debate about this, when ever they’re willing to stop banning me from their Slack (and no I will not debate on Slack, must be a neutral channel they do not control) Thus the future of Bitcoin is the 666 coin as I intuitively predicted in 2013: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=160612.0I’m working on a consensus algaorithm (not blocks, not Byteball, not SPECTRE) I think is better than proof-of-work and proof-of-stake. And I will attempt to onboard the masses while avoiding the issuance of a security token and avoid infringing AML. Apparently none of you guys ended up in our Crypto.cat group, because presumably some of y’all were too busy on EOS and BCH scams. (nearly all of crypto is a scam including Nxt and everything hence). @klee et al, I know the truth about you, but I am not interested to reveal it. It’s none of my business any way. Carry on. Life is scam! Why didn’t God promise me a bed of roses. Gleb was the Vegas attack a false flag? Jon Matonis could also be satoshi?
Bitcoin was created by the Zionists. Study up on 9/11 and the Mossad. The bowls of Revelation are being poured out. North Korea, Vegas, 9/11, etc.. Party on like it’s 1999 and take a Fukitol pill: I’m really expecting the real bitcoin to hit $500k in the next 2-3 years. Once this scalibity and holds on innovation are resolved, in the next 3-6 months, you’ll start seeing high frequency/professional traders coming, nation states buying TRB, ETF license pumping trillion from pension funds, etc. It’s gonna be mind blowing! Nobody reads their bible anymore so they’ll blame global warming, err, cooling, err change. And HAARP and Aliens. I agree we need something in place of or parallel to PoW. The IXcoin whitepaper has one such solution. Looking forward to seeing yours. And it’s about you posted on this thread, Mint! ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) i met bryce and the coin cartel this weekend ![Kiss](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/kiss.gif) lulz

I saw some threads talking about people trading their altcoin to bitcoin, in order to have their bitcoin gold on October 25th. After this date, people who don't believe in the bitcoin gold, will sell it fast to go back on altcoin trading ... So it might be a good opportunity to buy some altcoin now because of low price.. and to see the price growth after this date.
So for me, it will be patience. I'll watch what my FLO will become in November ...
I think you are right. I know many people who hold bitcoin to get bitcoin gold not because they believe bitcoin gold is a good coin but because they see this fork as an easy money opportunity. They remember bitcoin cash and they hope for the same. Later they plan to come back to altcoins. FLO @ 1300 looks good weak hands out ===> spaceshuttlezzz ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) weeee https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_floHey man the more you shut up the more this thing goes up. I hope it will go up ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) , Fork and the conferences for the awareness of this coin will bring it up What was the date for the fork again? Who of the team is going to attend the conference? I hope we can get some video material. 1OOOO-3OOOO pre-fork then the kicker ===> x10 bagger easy 100K target price post-fork !! ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) weeee https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_emc2~same promoters who did UBQ bittrex ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) #13373 Sorry but is that the answer to my question? I would like to know when precisely the fork happens? How far are we away from it? And why do you think the price will shoot up right after the fork? Fork is on oct. 25th Ok thanks. But wouldn't you think that all information is already priced in? Or is it really going to be a big moment as many here expect? you buy price or project? If your question is meant to refer to my question, I would like to kindly let you know that you completely miss the point. That can happen, no worries, but it shouldn't be too often. If you don't get why did I ask this question then just read it again and think It is not that I don't get why you asked that question. It is rather that I don't care why you asked that question. That being said, let's be peaceful to each other! ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) EMC2 will go above 10K it may take till after the fork * keep calm and EMC2 ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) weeeeee

I don't remember who said that the biggest threat to bitcoin is posed by the fact that many real devs are public figures. I think that's a major drawback. I am so much glad that Satoshi still keeps his/her/their identity hidden. Creating the most important threat to the financial 1% is not a prank.
It's only a problem for a crypto who dev team has an official "head" dev like Ethereum does. Or like BCH, lol. Bitcoin has 100+ voluntary developers. I'm surprised some Russian gangsters haven't ordered a contract on Vitalik to coincide with an epic margin short. It's a sure thing. *That was probably my most morbid speculation ever. Russians only care about bitcoin lol ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) weeee

Hi, So I'm trying to understand why sometime Litecoin is acting the same as Bitcoin and in other occasions, it acts as a different coin. What's the exact connection between those two? How come they have the same roll in the crypto environment and if so, what is the difference between it?
Though forked from bitcoin, Litecoin have ventured it's own path. Leaving SHA256 of bitcoin to Scrypt algo is one of the difference. And it has a more organized community hence faster response to obstacles than bitcoin. yep FLO is awesome look we have a shooting star ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) weeeeee https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_flo

Hi, Why is BTCC keeps on falling slowly slowly day by day? Doesn't it supposed to have strong community and miners support?
Are we going to see an additional dump after Bitcoin gold will be created?
The initial distribution of this coin went to people who supported Bitcoin Cash and also to those who did not support Bitcoin Cash. That's a lot of weak hands, dumping. Plus, it has attracted a strong contingent of "vulture miners" who only care about profit, and are willing to dump as soon as they can. If the supporter keep working on ways to improve upon the code and developing new use cases, it will work out. BTCC BitcoinClam is like the original fork? wayyy before BitcoinCasHFork =D https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_clam

Dead coin, stay away
No,not really. Most projects out there have survived similar incidents, it's just the nature of the beast. So, "troll" advise not withstanding, I see it as a buying opportunity.
