4381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apple CEO Tim Cook invests on Crypto on: November 10, 2021, 10:55:45 AM
This is big news for crypto to be honest, and the fortunate part is Tim Cook might want to clear the air by trying to separate his business deals from his personal  investment ventures but many might see this to have potential influence on the current company his working for to do something crypto related which means Apple could have something for the crypto world on its radar. This is bullish news if you ask me ...

Having Cook on cryptos side is a big win, as this means we have Apple in our corner too Tongue
4382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Due Diligence: Investor/Trader or Exchange on: November 10, 2021, 07:14:02 AM
A few years ago when we had ICOs the responsibility of due diligence fell on the investors to try and vent out the bad projects from the legit ones

and this worked 80%( Percentage could be higher or lower) of the time, but then came IEOs which were a fundraising process which was/is done

by an exchange which meant we had less shit/scam projects because the due diligence pretty much few on the exchange itself.

Now in cases were an exchange delists a coin which was introduced to us through IEOs are they not responsible for any of our losses?
Do these exchanges conduct their own due diligence before listing a coin on their exchange?

Is Due Diligence still necessary these days...?
4383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How you choose projects for investment on: November 10, 2021, 06:56:20 AM
Back then when we had ICOs looking at a team to try and see the legitness and seriousness of a project was a must but now i really dont even bother looking into them because ICOs are dead and gone Roll Eyes . With these new generation coins being listed on an exchange is a must as this was one of the down falls of ICOs initially which left many with worthless coins but today the game has changed.

My last prerequisite would be a combination of large active community and token burns of its coin to guarantee value to its project.
4384  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Does BTC growing faster?? on: November 10, 2021, 06:39:52 AM

Why does btc growing faster than other Cryptocurrencies?
I think it has to do with it being the anchor of most if not all cryptocurrencies...and in this regard it acts as the leader

What makes people chooses bitcoin?
-In the crypto ecosystem its a known name or brand if you like.
-Its among the assets with the most liquidity.
-Bitcoin has made some people rich and others use it to try and relive or replicate this success.

Does bitcoin going up forever?

Go up forever, that is a definite no!!

Bitcoin price moves in a wave like motion which means it will swing from below then Up and then down again & this keeps repeating itself, which is why certain times markets are bullish and certain times they are bearish....and on certain days markets are kind of in an equilibrium(buyers=sellers) .
4385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you think of Meta (Facebook) allowing bets in the metaverse on: November 10, 2021, 06:24:54 AM
While we keep talking about Facebook aka Meta, is this new name change actually taking place because the company name is already being used by another and if they choose to go on with this they will have to throw in a couple of dollars, millions to be exact as the current owners know they have the capacity and they need to buy it off them first.

Quote
However, rumors say that they may actually enter into the betting arena by implementing gambling and gaming for money in the future Metaverse of Facebook. What do  you make of this?
All i will say is a successful company knows when to diversify its portfolio to spread risk and maximize on its profits...and tbh this is a welcome move. Welcome to the gambling ecosystem meta.

4387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid big commissions to pay ethereum ? on: November 09, 2021, 06:16:25 PM
What cosmic commission? You mean GAS fee?
probably this is what OP was referring too

Well. You can pay for gas very low, but your transaction will take very long to process, and the transaction will likely fail.
You pay according to the current gas rate, your transaction will be processed faster. Only that!
The problem i find in trying to be economical with paying a fair transaction is that you will end up paying more as ethereum transaction involving tokens mostly tend to fail and give the run out of gas which means those gas fees applied earlier are a sunk cost and cant be recovered!

My advise apply the best transaction fee at the time of token movement to avoid the inconvenience and get the coins sent out to your wallet in the earliest of times.
4388  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fortunejack Scammed me WARNING on: November 09, 2021, 06:05:49 PM
Hi mate hope Mum has recovered and doing fine, coming back to the subject matter its unfortunate you had to deal with this KYC at a wrong time, and any sane person would prioritize taking care of family in times of need and these were one of those times!!!

But unfortunately if this was looked at without any bias and without putting any emotions to this issue...Fortunejack are acting within their terms of service and did the needful based on their terms but if you could find a way to talk to them and explain yourself you could have the opportunity to recover your funds and keep playing, anyway good luck!

Manchester United's Dean Henderson is under consideration by Newcastle United on their hunt for a new goalkeeper, according to reports.

Newcastle are now among the Premier League's richest clubs after their Saudi Arabia-backed takeover and are counting down the days until the January transfer window opens and they can finally spend some of their newfound wealth.

The Magpies even have a new manager at the helm, at long last, as former Bournemouth coach Eddie Howe has taken the reins at St. James' Park.

It appears that a new goalkeeper will be one of the club's targets in the new year and The Sun reports that Henderson is on their shortlist.

4390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: November 08, 2021, 01:40:10 PM

1. Chelsea - 26 points
2. Manchester City - 23 points
3. West Ham - 23 points
4. Liverpool - 22 points

West Ham are performing just insanely this season that's for sure.  Cheesy
There is a lot of pressure mounting at the top just from looking at how the points are spread-out and any team that drops points from now on are declared out of the race for sure...And if you compare the Leicester City team that won the premier league a few years ago to this West Ham side...i see some similarities as these are all average players with no big names to over shadow the team which makes them a dangerous team. It would be worth putting some money on the hammers to win this 2021/2022 league    Roll Eyes
4391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: November 08, 2021, 07:47:53 AM
West Ham United knocked out Liverpool, who was unbeaten in 20 games.

Just for the record, Westham put to an end of Liverpools 25 match unbeaten run  and not 20....what an evening it was  Wink

Manchester United and City fans are happy.....not forgetting Chelsea FC

Westham fans should be the happiest at the moment and generally everyone other than the Reds Tongue

I kinda felt that Liverpool would struggle against West Ham. They are physically extremely hard to play against and they put other teams under a different kind of pressure - by playing a lot of long balls and crosses and with Rice and Soucek in midfield who are tall and hard to play around.

Still, Alisson made 2 huge mistakes and is the main reason we lost yesterday, you have to control your box a lot better. He's been good this season but that's how it works with goalies - if you make these kind of mistakes, you are directly responsible for the points loss.

Still early, we will bounce back. City and Chelsea were struggling as well.
You have summed up everything that went wrong with Liverpool which lead to Westham to win but how long can they keep up with this performance, because sooner or later once injuries start to come i see them dropping points but if all goes well...there is a possibility to actually challenge for the title and maybe win it altogether!

4393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: November 07, 2021, 08:45:27 PM
Just looking at the general performance of todays la liga games and i have noticed their were several games with lots of goals ,some draws and unexpected to some degree....

Valencia 3-3 Atletico Madrid, most people would have fancied Atletico Madrid to win this one but knowing Valencia this team can be rock solid to break and today they fought hard coming from behind to share the points and i would say it was well deserved for both.

Osasuna vs Real Sociedad, well this game had Real Sociedad written all over this game and they delivered with a two nil win  to go top of the league despite an extra game more than other title chasers like Real Madrid.

Betis vs Sevilla is is currently on and with a few minutes before the first halh is done, match seems not to have a lot of goals and i see this to be another draw of the day .
My prediction is 1-1 or 0-0
4394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: November 07, 2021, 07:22:36 PM
Because they have a really powerful player like Mohamed Salah. And it is not just about him. Their squad quality is really high now and everyone at the team is capable of scoring or making a big contribution in another way.

Mo Salah has an issue of not been consistent all through the season, he starts brilliantly then all of a sudden he stops scoring and after some weeks he resume scoring. Or he starts poorly then pick up as the season progress. I just hope this season would not be like that for him because if Liverpool are to win any silverware this season, they will need him.

Liverpool plays brilliant football, they are one of my pick to win it this season also. I just believe the trophy will be retained in England. All best managers are here. This is the toughest league now and are worthy of producing the champions of Europe. We also have very talented players in the Liverpool team, Mene do has his role to play as well.

Actually when it comes to this season, Mohamed Salah has been quite consistent for a long time. In his last 10 official games at Liverpool, he scored goal(s) in 8 of those games. And he scored 15 goals and made 6 assists in 14 games which is another very impressive statistics. But I understand that you mean this could change at some point in this season. I hope that it doesn't. He is a very crucial player for Liverpool and he has a huge contribution to the team.
Such impressive stats are some of the reasons Salah is demanding for more money and if he continues with this brilliant performance...the club will be forced to meet his demands! Just how old is Salah by the way, trying to calculate his chances of succeeding.

it seemed like people were taking Inter's chance to promote for granted. And I also was thinking of whether they would finish the group as the leader or the second. But after the first two games, I was in a complete shock to be honest. Inter were able to collect only one point after facing Real Madrid and Shakhtar. And after seeing Sheriff's unexpectedly high performance, Inter's job seemed to be really tough. But Inter still ended Sheriff by the same score (3-1) consecutively and have taken the advantage. There are still two games to be played but Inter should be able to advance from now on.
When these groups are tabled after the draws we all speculate on which teams are likely to go through, and 60% of the time we are usually wrong about it when the results start coming in Roll Eyes, and inter is among those teams we thought had a safe passage to the next stage but are now in a place we can not imagine they will find themselves in a few months back. I guess they need to comeback strong for the next spell of UEFA games if they can finish in the top 4 this season.
4395  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchanges with no KYC Policy on: November 07, 2021, 07:06:46 PM
If a centralized trading exchange claimed they had a no KYC Policy, then i would be cautious about such because sooner or later they will claim to apply these on a random basis or if something about a users activity is off and this is pretty much hidden in their terms and conditions which gives them this right and unfortunately  many of us hardly read these !

If its an Exchanges with no KYC Policy you want, the answer is decentralized exchange  Cool!

Surprisingly Liverpool had to concede 2 goals again and the attacks continued to barrage from West Ham I think the concentration of the Liverpool defenders was not so perfect and in the end the goal became 1-3.
This was beyond my expectations and the last goal was just like West Ham's first Alisson seemed to be struggling for a ball like that, only 15 minutes left I'm not sure Liverpool can pay for it.

I saw this coming for the last 2-4 games. Our defense has been very shaky lately and we haven't done anything about it in the last couple of games. It would only take a well established team with a coordinated attack to expose the weakness of our defense. The fact that we play a high line doesn't make it any easy for us too. West ham definitely going to win. It's too late for Liverpool to get anything from the game.

Edit: WHU 3-2 LIV thanks to Origi. Should be last goal of the match.
i Wouldn't wholly blame the defensive errors of Liverpool, we also have to agree on something...which is Westham are just at their peak of the season and will give any team out there right now a run for their money. Tbh its unfair to say its the defense that is not working when these are the same players that have been used to win several matches...

Anyway bravo to  West ham for putting a stop at this Liverpool invisibility which also sends the hammers to 3rd!

Christian Falks says that the former Leipzig coach Ralf Rangnick is one of the candidates to be the Manchester United manager. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is very likely to get sacked after losing to Manchester City by 2-0 and having a terrible performance. Manchester United are already in the search of a new manager now and I think it is the right thing to do. But I think that the manager is not the only problem at this team. There are some other in-team problems I think and they should solve them too.
playing against Manchester city, the odds were never in favor of  Manchester united and the board knows it too...if a win came through yesterday then that would have been a bonus but this time around Ole and team werent lucky. As for Ole being sacked I say if the next 4 games coming , come without any wins i dont see any room for giving him more time to manage the team his gone ! And the suggested replacement where did you find our man can he really coach a big club as United...coaching players like Ronaldo, i dont think so, but it might be worth a shot Tongue

I hope Milan win tonight's Milan derby!
lol i see what you did here mate Grin but which Milan are you really talking about....I for one see AC Milan to be the better milan here Tongue

I really enjoyed their last game against Roma! But Inter also look very strong... The statistics of their recent encounters are also in Inter's favor, they have beaten Milan more often in the last few years!
The problem about football is history has a tendency of repeating itself and if the odds are in the favor of inter then this might actually be the end result but am still going with AC here provided Napoli wins and they get the news they too will want to win to challenge for the title.

Napoli is currently in action as we speak, the conceded early against Verona but the turned things around fast to even out the score line to keep the title chase alive, and with how the game is unfolding Napoli is expected to win.

My prediction Napoli 3-2 Verona

West Ham United face Liverpool in a match i see to be the real test for the two, especially that these are among the inform terms of the league. With this game being hosted by the hammers this certainly will be interesting to watch.....

btw lineups are in and both teams have brought in the big guns for the battle of the 3 points.....

West Ham: Fabianski, Johnson, Ogbonna, Zouma, Cresswell; Rice, Soucek, Bowen, Benrahma, Fornals; Antonio.
Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konaté, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Henderson, Salah, Jota, Mané.

my prediction West Ham United 1-1 Liverpool
4400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BOOM - First Self-Burning Cryptocurrency Based on Smart Contract on: November 07, 2021, 04:25:46 PM
I dont know how the code was written but what are the chances of making sure that all coins wont be burnt in the process and was this the best option to have value addition to a crypto project? To be honest I see a project creating value out of nothing without having real demand, this will be a case of artificial demand for the BOOM project which will be over valued for its potential investors in the future.

You need to buy BOOM and stop looking at its price on a daily basis. It will take some time before its price will take on some good value. If you are short-term trader then you may find a spike one day to get your desired profit.
Not sure about the cycle burns whether they take place after several years or not but the price will certainly go up very fast!
