441  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Implications of War on Individuals on: October 16, 2023, 11:07:50 PM
I hate wars. I hate conflicts. Both they are almost unavailable. Wars and conflicts disrupts lives. It kills people - men, women, babies. Businesses are shot down. Schools are shot down. Boys become father's and look after their moms and siblings because their father has gone to war. Daughters become mothers and have to care for their siblings because they lose their mothers to war. Children with perfectly normal lives become refugees

Wars and conflicts doesn't give you the time to plan. It happens fast and it happens suddenly. It comes with a huge economic cost. And for us in the cryptocurrency, we are not exempted too. If you are a miner, your mining operation is affected because if you are caught up in the conflict, you have to abandon it and flee so that you do not get killed.

I am deeply saddened by these wars. I am not taking sides because there are human causalities in both sides.

- do you have any survival tips during war period?
- are there any business that I can do during a period of war so as to sustain my family? Can I still budget, save and earn in Bitcoin?
- What is the economic impacts on individuals with families and how do I sustain them during war period.

Who wants war, right? except for the leaders of each country who have this desire or those who have bad intentions. During the war, can you still think of doing business if your surroundings are full of gunfire, explosions, and killings? Of course, that thing cannot be thought of first.

Your main goal will be to save your family's life, if you have one, or your own. And hide in a place that is far from the battle and killing; this will be your way to survive and escape this deluge. And there are some countries that have conflicts with each other, and I hope they will not increase.
442  Economy / Economics / Re: SEC approves BlackRock's spot bitcoin ETF on: October 16, 2023, 03:36:24 PM
Maybe that's why the price value of Bitcoin suddenly increased earlier, maybe because of those humors, because the last time I saw it, the price of Bitcoin was around 28200 dollars or something.

But even so, that seems to be an indication that the chances of blackrock actually being approved are high.
When that actually happens, many bitcoin communities will celebrate that for sure, because it will be clear that somehow Bitcoin will achieve $100,000 more than each other by next year during the bull run.
443  Local / Pilipinas / Re: PhilHealth under siege: US$300,000 ransom set by Medusa ransomware group on: October 16, 2023, 03:25:25 PM
....
PH government websites/data is under cyber attacks. Masyado kase nilang minamaliit kakayahan ng IT dept nila. Puro news na we are advancing in modern technology etc, etc. yet mga shitty security ng mga websites nila. Sana nga after these incidents dagdagan nila budget for cybersecurity ng any government sites, servers, etc. at all over improve IT infras dito satin, at lastly maging responsible sila pag may ganyang incident na nangyari, hindi yung kakalimutan nalang na walang may na pa-punish na kauukulan.

444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More secure ways of storing bitcoin? on: October 16, 2023, 02:26:12 PM
How do institutional investors store and protect their Bitcoin assets?
Institutional investors, such as hedge funds and corporations, have different ways of storing and protecting their Bitcoin assets than typical user wallets.

There are numerous ways for us to securely store our bitcoins, but the only few that come to mind right now are storing them in the proper locations, such as a safety box, a paper wallet, or a bank vault.

Don't forget to frequently backup your Bitcoin so that, in the unlikely event that you lose it, you can still retrieve it. You can do this with a USB or flash drive, which is what I'm doing at the moment because I don't yet have a hardware wallet. Don't merely reveal the wallet address or private key to people you know, of course.

445  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Upbit Got approval In Singapore on: October 16, 2023, 01:58:00 PM
Does it mean Singapore is friendly to cryptocurrency? Is there a chance Bitcoin can be legalised there? Nevertheless these approvals are good news for us in the Bitcoin community... my question is just to gauge the level of Bitcoin penetration there.

As far as I know, yes, Singapore is crypto-friendly; they have exchanges that have crypto trading. I'm just not familiar with what exchange there is in Singapore. And if that news is true and can be implemented, it will be a good innovation for the country of Singapore.

That's another cryptocurrency adoption. Of course, I have friends and relatives in Singapore; if that ever happens, they can use that exchange if they send it to our country.
Madaming tao (yung mga nahikayat) alam na too good to be true yung offers, tapus iba or mostly mga professional yung na i-scam, so di mo masasabing wala silang alam diyan.

448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Knowledge vs hodlings on: October 15, 2023, 10:23:15 PM
It's true that they're riskier than Bitcoin. We hold Bitcoin and invest some if you want to but you have no idea if they're going to make it when the bull run is in.
Bitcoin is more appropriate for most and that's why if you ever want to have a safe and secured investment, Bitcoin is the choice.
I do not believe in holding any altcoins, they are not not meant for holding just for a quick profit. In order to gain profits from altcoin you just have to buy at there first stage of presales or private sales and sell immediately or few days of the listing, if not the price will automatically dump leaving you with little or non of your capital. The earlier you sell your altcoins the better your chance of making good profits.
Where else, Bitcoin can be bought at any time and any price because it will definitely not run into loss forgetting the volatile nature price must surely bounce back and give good profits to Bitcoin owners only for those who is in for the long run

It's up to you, and nobody is pushing us to order anything they don't want to as an investment that they think would increase our capital. Additionally, it cannot be denied that the majority of cryptocurrency investments nowadays are extremely risky.

The research we conduct and our confidence in the assets we purchase, however, nevertheless have a role. However, I continue to think that there are still more cryptocurrencies, such as BnB, Arb, Ada, and other top-ranked ones on the market, that, like Bitcoin, have the potential to offer future profit savings. Therefore these two are both important to me.
449  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin In Bullish or Bearish Trend? on: October 15, 2023, 10:00:42 PM
If I look now at the actual live footage that is happening in the crypto market based on the Bitcoin price movement, as you can see in the picture below, using the time frame of 1 day, it is clear that we are currently in an uptrend period or bullish.

But that doesn't mean it's not good to do DCA, as most of these times do. Of course, it's still good to do DCA, and don't stop using these tools to save Bitcoin and other crypto assets for future Bitcoin halving or bull runs.
450  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Use Crypto Signals? on: October 15, 2023, 09:48:02 PM
There's two reasons why they get positive reviews. (1) Making fake reviews is so easy, (2) they really provide a good signal but you have to pay a certain amount of money which I am sure is not cheap.

I'm also not against them, since maybe there are some legit signal providers who really gives out profitable trading signals to their clients, however, in the long run, like if suddenly they've stopped doing so, you'll be left out without any knowledge in trading since you only rely on somebody else. Self-taught is much better in my opinion, it is risky and will cost you a lot of money but it will be worth it in the long run if you're serious about your trading career.

One can create the fake channel and use the same to market among the traders,So the new people will do the use of the trading signals. The trading signals can be fake and self created by the individual to scam the others. So my way of trading will be use of the own signal for the trading.Building your own strategy for the trading will be the better one, because you no need top blame of praise other for your loss and profits.

Honestly, I don't really believe in trading signals, because I know a lot of trading signal groups on Telegram that gather communities, but they are scammers in the end. On the other hand, there are other people who know nothing about the crypto space and are still really trying to find that style. So what I can say is that it is okay to join trading signals, as you said, or do copy trading.

I noticed that many exchange platforms today, especially those on the top list in the market, have copy trading features in their exchange platforms. So that means at least it's not telegram-based most of the time, as we know.
451  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Things we should know about the price action on candlestick pattern on: October 15, 2023, 09:37:11 PM
TBH, this is a nice topic idea, and your execution is also promising I would love to see more of such a topic from your side as in the end, you've already mentioned the To Be Continued, it is better to bring these topics into the trading section. I had also covered a newbies's trading chapter, for some reason, I had paused it but after reading this one I think besides all the reasons I should start it again. Sadly in the trading section, 50% of topics are redundant and there are very rare promising topics, It would be great to have a member like you to accompany us in the trading section further.

Quote
"A trader can use a market price to describe the human thought process that underpins a market's movement."

That's what we can the physiological readings, emotion readings.

Well, what you said is true; the OP is doing an excellent job here of instructing on cryptocurrency trading. I've seen a number of trading-related topics posted in this thread, and I'll be honest: what they did was alright but not very simple to understand.

However, in the OP's approach, I can see the effort he is trying to reach others who find it difficult to comprehend the basics of bitcoin trading. As a result, it is really nice that he is giving the knowledge he has, and I am also genuinely interested in what he will accomplish. Teaching about crypto trading will be done more in the future.
452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: October 15, 2023, 09:26:59 PM
I admire the countries that ban minors from gambling and the countries that also ban the use of credit cards in casinos. Because of these governments, you can see their true concern for the people and what will happen if they violate their prohibitions.

From any angle, it is not good to see that a child is gambling. We know that gambling usually does not really bring anything good to the majority, although I do not. All that is needed is to be wise in the decisions we make. Just gamble based on being able to triple the amount in any casino.
453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DCA method on: October 14, 2023, 11:59:10 PM
Since I introduced the DCA method to them, it was a game changer too them,
DCA is the best way for low income earners to acquire more Bitcoin.

I don't know if anyone else has different opinion about it?
- I agree that Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA) is a good method for gradually accumulating assets over time, especially if you don't have the time to constantly analyze the best buying prices. However, I'd like to emphasize the importance of deciding when to stop DCA and begin selling. If you have a strategy for buying through DCA, it's equally important to have a plan for selling, especially during bullish market phases. Failing to take profits during favorable market conditions can lead to prolonged and painful bear market periods.
- There's a classic saying in investing: "If you don't take profits, someone else will take profits for you." This highlights the significance of having a clear exit strategy to lock in gains.

Of course that is correct, because otherwise no one would have used that method and no one would have given advice to do DCA. But since many people are saying here on the forum platform that it is good to apply that to saving any cryptocurrencies, I can probably see that many people will harvest a good harvest in the upcoming bull run next year.

As for me, I haven't saved that much yet, as long as the important thing is that I also have a harvest because of what I accumulate that I believe can give me savings in the future, and it's a big deal that even if it's 100k$ each of Bitcoin and even other crypto currencies that can also kick in value in the future.
454  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of Farming. on: October 14, 2023, 11:49:54 PM
The vertical farming that they did is fine somehow, but for me, it's still different from the natural place to plant, like the real farm or the mountains, because it grows naturally.

Here in our country, farming is highly valued because this is where our food resources really come from in the reality that is happening right now. In other countries, the farms have been built by condominiums or by establishments, which is the reason for the rapid flooding in the city that the business sector thought was not possible, but that's what it really is.
455  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading on your own vs social trading and copy trading on: October 14, 2023, 05:47:32 PM
I think that by trading on my own I am just overtrading...I am looking for options to get trading ideas/trading signals etc to analyze those ideas and select only the best ones.
What options does one have to view trading ideas/signals from other professional traders?

To be quite honest, I feel curious to try copy trading. especially because I saw there was copy trading on Binance before I realized it would be beneficial to investigate this extra source of revenue.

Just make sure the copy we are using has a strong setup. Check to verify if there are actually earnings coming in first. In addition, I noticed that copy trading may be used with our regular exchange deals.

456  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: App for crypto indicators on: October 14, 2023, 05:36:10 PM
I try to find some apps for indicators. To alert me when indicators for some coin reach some value but I could not find any apps for that so I am trying to create one.

Here is the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kec.crypto.alert.indicator

I just start working on it there are tons of stuff that needs to be added so every suggestion is welcome.

For now, I just add RSI and MACD signals(that are the main signals that I am using for trading) and maybe MACD can be updated to work in multiple ways. If anyone has some suggestions I am open Smiley

I am thinking to add a third signal but not sure which one. Thinking about Bollinger bands.

So what do you think?

Knowing that traders on the exchange can readily understand indicators, you should just start with the fundamentals if we're going to employ them. The simple moving average is another tool indicator that is simple to utilize.

Starting to practice this will help us gradually determine where and when to buy or sell cryptocurrency. And understanding of how to read the daily chart differs from your actual knowledge. And even with basic tools, we might be able to accomplish something.
457  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Emotions dealing on: October 14, 2023, 05:21:38 PM
Emotion would really be a huge factor in speaking about its relevance when it comes to trading career or whatever investment venture that you are dealing with. Control is relevant and significant but of course it would really be just that depending or basing up on someones experience on how they would really be making themselves that having in control on such situation.

because people who are not experienced in trading will easily panic when they see price movements, I even have friends who are just learning to trade and are very stressed and busy always looking at the trades being made.

Controlling emotions in trading can only be done by those who already have experience. and beginners don't need to be afraid, because the more often they trade, they will gain experience from which they can learn. and indirectly it fosters emotional control. although in this case everyone's level of understanding will be different.

It means that what you mentioned is, the lack of knowledge will cause us anxiety when there is a massive dump in the market. In addition to this, because we also lack knowledge, this is also the reason for the trader who buys crypto in this field to doubt himself.

But, if we use our emotions properly and correctly, the results of our trading activity in our lives will be good.
458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you not gamble on women sports? (tennis not included) on: October 14, 2023, 05:08:22 PM
I do not know if this has been discussed before, but I want to know why most discussions on sports asides tennis is about the men's side of it and the women side is about only barely mentioned. Take football for example. Why is there low engagement in women sports from the side of viewers and even gamblers who are sports bettors? Is it not easier to win on gambling on women sports than men's sport? or is there no gambling site offering odds for betting on women sports?

What kinds of games do women play to gamble, exactly? because all of the casino games here at the crypto gambling do not specifically state whether they are solely male or female, which is what I know and concur with from my experience.

Instead, anyone can participate in any cryptocurrency gambling game as long as they have funds placed into a casino to play or wager. However, if we take it literally, it appears that there are more men's games.

.
459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: October 14, 2023, 04:58:20 PM
For me if we loss in gambling the best thing to do is to control ourselves cause without self-control we loss more and more so once we loss a big amount then we should take a control and focus on our goal which is to minimize our bet, when we don't have control we bet spontaneously and there's a big chance that we get addicted and once it will happened then a lot of consequences we need to face.

I agree, but to add, I think with able to control yourself, you should also have discipline, because with discipline then it will strengthen your ability to control yourself to gamble more and can lead to more losses. But to those who's already addicted it will be difficult for them to fight the urge to play more as they have a goal to chass their losses which is a wrong path because it will only lead you in more worst situation. So for me "discipline" is the most important for you to control yourself to limit yourself in gambling.

What you said is correct; in fact, having self-discipline is almost no different from having self-control. Because if only every gambler has this habit, I am pretty sure that there is no room for you to become a gambling addict; instead, you will really consider gambling as just entertainment.

Just because there are others who inevitably consider it and think it is a source of income, it becomes a signal to them that they will become addicted in the future little by little without them realizing it.
460  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Educational plan sa Bitcoin o Insurance? on: October 14, 2023, 04:48:47 PM

To make it short. Hindi na talaga advisable maginvest sa bank since sobrang daming danger at maaari ka talaga mabiktima since may insider information ang mga scammer na maaari na maconvince. Sa pagkakaalam ko sa insurance ay need in person iclaim ang funds at need ang policy kaya sobrang safe nito in terms of physical and digital attack. Nice thread
