I have to add ParkGene to the list. They are giving 5% for referals. I think that referals are the cleanest form of advertising and will prevail in the future.

This insurance will come at a price. So it will be irrelevant if you get hacked from time to time or you pay insurance. I wouldn't use it. However, I am using decentralized exchanges like EtherDelta and IDEX. I have never encountered any problems with them.

Electroneum definitely. However, I can't think of a single reason why someone would care for the best coins on a single exchange? If you are serious about investing in crypto, you should have easy access to all the exchanges. No matter which country you live in. You have to learn how to run a simple browser and a simple software. That's it. No need to limit yourself to one exchange only.

Future for POW only? I doubt it. A mixture of PoW and PoS - i guess yes. Examples - Bitcoin, Ethereum, Vericoin/VeriumReserve. This will be the standard in the next couple of years in my opinion.

I really like Streamr Datacoin (DATA). It is not that low capped coin, but I consider it undervalued in comparison with the other DAG coins like IOTA, Raiblocks, Enigma, because DATA is cheaper and they have a working product for a long time, which the rest don't have.

I like some deeper analysis and spreadsheets provided by Ian Balina, OheyMatty and similar channels. While they are not fully comprehensive, they are much deeper than the most junk out there. Youtube is filled with lots of similar low quality reviews. This section, too. It is not so easy to find good sources.

You can run an US-based ICO, provided you register it as offering of securities, which is a costly process. Now the ICO becomes actually an IPO. Selling tokens to accredited US investors is also not a problem. Selling to the american Average Joe is a problem, because the american average Joe is very stupid and always relies on the almighty institutions to protect him, after he makes tons of stupid decisions.

This entire section is degrading at a steady rate, from ICO adverts, to scammy Airdrop promotions, and lets not forget your occasional news article listing to promote a new website.
What has happened to all the real discussions regarding coins. Sure there are a few good threads, but the amount of shills and puppet accounts is nearing levels i've never seen before, and all the real-discussions are getting buried in dogshit.
Admins, lets go and filter some of this bullshit, start banning/restricting brand new accounts from making new threads.
I completely agree. I saw like 10 viberate threads in the last 10 minutes. All of them with shallow and superficial content. The shilling here is unbearable.

Yeah, everyone is solving the scalability problem. Ethereum are doing it, IOTA are doing it, Hashgraph are doing it, RaiBlocks are doing it, EOS are doing it. But nobody has done it yet. This is what is important. And even if someone solves it, but all other aspect of their blockchain sucks, than what is the benefit of having a fast network that nobody wants to use?

It will hit $10,000 for sure. However, it may take years for that. I am very confident in Ethereum and even if some other platform becomes the number one choice, there will still always be enough demand for the ethereum blockchain.

Without proper research made into this, I am always very careful with the Bitcoin sock puppet, called Charlie Lee. This may serve some purpose Blockstream have in their battle against Bitcoin Cash and everyone else, who try to stop them from pocketing huge amounts of money for themselves.

LiveEdu reached hard cap on their ICO recently. They are basically trying to build a platform which is the blockchain equivalent of Lynda.com and Udemy. The team has a solid experience in the field and they already have a working platform with users all around the world.

Yeah, I posted it in Development & Technical Discussion, but some moderator moved it here. Probably because it is not related to Bitcoin.

Hi, in etherscan when I try to read a smart contract I see: StartTime: 1513512000 lastDay 1518006043
What are these numbers? Is it a block number on the Ethereum blockchain? How can I know which date it is?

The opposite is the overconfidence bias. And I believe 90% of the community has it now after the big surge of cryptocurrencies. So many people have been trading coins and made a lot of money. They believe that they made it by smart decisions, while in reality the whole sector went up and you would have made money regardless what you are holding. As a result, they believe they are great traders and when the bear market comes, they will face the truth and learn a costly lesson.

If you want stress free investment, you can go buy some bonds and be happy with the 0.5% yearly return. Nobody (except idiots) puts lifetime hard earned money in crypto.

Yep, they are for illegitimate uses. They are also for privacy uses. What people don't understand is that with creating privacy coins for good uses, they also help scammers skyrocket their results. The average Joe in the middle, who is neither of them is the victim.

Well, it is obvious that BTC and ETH are the safest and are the benchmark for returns. But people looking for the next big thing doesn't look for safe and steady returns. They look for 100x+ returns and that's why advice to hold BTC doesn't make any sense.

Yeah, I have heard great things about it as well. The other similar project is Presearch, so it will be interesting to watch who of the two will become google and who will be the second best that nobody uses.
