i sent the 0.01 received from OP to my given address and apprantely after the fees it was less than the minimum, so i decided to send another 0.01 to the mixer. so in total i sent 0.0198 with 2 transactions. but i only received 0.00945 back so im not sure if its glitchy.
heres the address i sent to  https://blockchain.info/address/1FWtjgVVBV3K9q9uTVMyQqhmXJu5M7MHgb
442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you store your bitcoins? on: February 24, 2016, 07:06:31 PM
i have the majority of my bitcoins (roughly 90%) in a paper storage that i plan on keeping for a long time, its essentially my cold storage. and the rest i just keep on coinbase
443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities on: February 21, 2016, 08:10:32 PM
I see more and more acrticles of bitcoin being used for illegal activities
will this hurt bitcoin in the long run , will governments ban this just like they started to do wih paying in cash for some services
to harden the use of illegal , and money laundering
bitcoins always being used for illegal activities, this is mainly due to the anonymous strength that bitcoin has. it does hurt bitcoin imo because it drives people away from using it as they think thery are taking part in something illegal.
444  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: safe to link bank account ? on: February 20, 2016, 06:51:34 PM
some bank account or any if anything, offers protection, in the case of outside violation

i've for example enabled 2fa on my bank account, so no transaction is authorized, if the code is not added
that actually seems like a really good feature on a bank account, too bad my bank doesnt offer that.  Sad
445  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many Bitcoins are lost forever? on: February 20, 2016, 06:48:54 PM
I don't know if 30% is accurate. No on will know. But I think a better percentage would be somewhere 5-10%.
ya 30% seems definitely too inflated to me. if i had to guess i would say that around 3-5% of bitcoins are in unknown private keys.
but that number can only get bigger from there. its not like people are going to start finding their coins again.
446  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC halving on: February 20, 2016, 05:53:45 PM
Can someone explain the concept of Bitcoin halving? I've found this timer http://www.bitcoinblockhalf.com/ so what does it acctualy mean besides the halved rewards for the block? Will it affect the price of bitcoin in some way?
lets see, the current bitcoin reward per block mined is about 25 bitcoins, and after the halfing itll go to 12.5btc. so yes it will definitely affect the price of bitcoin imo. the supply is decreasing by a factor of 2.
447  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the number of available bitcoins decreasing? on: February 20, 2016, 05:51:39 PM
Let me explain.  Bitcoins are constantly being created (mined) but bitcoins are constantly being lost also.  The number of bitcoins created per year is decreasing (by design) and we could assume that the number of bitcoins lost keeps increasing every year.  If this is true, then at some point the total number of bitcoins available (not lost) would decease because more are being lost than being created.  If it hasn't started happening yet, it will sometime in the future.
yes im pretty sure there are tons of bitcoins being lost every day. i saw this thread on this forum once where people actually tried to keep track of all the reported losses. and it was a really big number
448  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Going UP! on: February 20, 2016, 05:49:48 PM
Sorry, never bother to try to ask before though I'm curious about it.. What is halving?
when the halfing happens, the block reward that the miners currently receive from mining a block is halfed.
449  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to spend Bitcoin? Newbie's opinion. on: February 20, 2016, 12:41:05 AM
if i were you, i would just convert all of that btc into cash, and only keep like 1 or 2 bitcoins in mywallet. reason being that if the price crashes, you're gonna lose big time.
450  Other / Off-topic / Re: How would you guys react if you guys lost 10, 000 bitcoin? on: February 20, 2016, 12:19:23 AM
lets see, 10,000 bitcoins at todays rate is about $420,000. so if i somehow had and lost that much. i would be pretty damn upset. but i wudnt let that happen. if i owned that much money, i would be smart enough to make sure its safe.
451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Possibly Hacked on: February 18, 2016, 02:24:05 AM
what doesnt make sense to me is the fact that if you were hacked , why not just wipe your wallet? why take 30 twice?
452  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin close to $600 before summer starts! Even much higher levels coming. on: February 17, 2016, 10:34:36 PM
i doubt its ever gonna go upto 3500 per coin, the max i think that would be possible is prolly around 1000 and i expect that to happen around the halfing.
453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving Party 2016 on: February 17, 2016, 10:32:03 PM
Do you have any plans for the evening Bitcoin halves?

If reading this retrospectively, what did you do the day of bitcoins halving?
on the day the bitcoin halfing occurs, i plan on watching the price charts for the entire day lol. and if the price goes up alot ill sell most of my btc.

455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: February 17, 2016, 02:15:01 AM
usually what i do is lend money to other people for a decent interest rate but a smart way to grow your Bitcoins would be to diversify your investments into small amounts in legit cloud mining services (hashnest), on shares (such as Blockshares) and on physical gold. I've been doing this and so far it's been working for me.
456  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: February 17, 2016, 01:43:23 AM
I recently paid for some local tacos using Bitcoin. My friend who was unfamilar with Bitcoin thought it was strange, like I technically didn't pay for them or something. We got into discussing Bitcoin and one of the questions he asked me was:
"Why would you want Bitcoins instead of cash?". For a second I didn't know what to say; then I thought about it and here is what I came up with. Feel free to contribute to this.

1) More security (especially if you are careful).

2) Bitcoins are a potential investment, cash is not. Paper currency only really goes down in value, Bitcoins have a lot of potential to be worth more as time goes on.

3) Fast, worldwide transactions at your fingertips.

4) Similar to #3, but it's a universal currency. It's legal in most countries of the world and you don't need any kind of currency conversion to send money to people in a different country than your own.
i really like point #3 the best, i mean your first and second point are ok but dont always hold true. cash can be pretty safe, if you pay with debit or credit cards or something.
457  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you buy Bitcoins? on: February 16, 2016, 02:31:47 AM
everytime i have this feeling that in 10years from now bitcoin is going to be worth about 5000 bucks each, and i feel ill regret not buying as much bitcoin. and that makes me buy more today  Tongue
458  Other / Meta / Re: Post quality on: February 16, 2016, 01:58:32 AM
I was wondering is the anything out there that says whats a poor- excellent post.

Such as over 100 characters for excellent  under 10 for poor etc.
Dont look at the length of the post for determining post quality, people can talk for paragraphs without it being constructive. I've seen that the account price checkers usually look at post lengths to display a post quality, but i usually just ignore that.
459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'll try to pay my dentist with BTC on: February 16, 2016, 01:53:28 AM
At the end of the month, I'll fly to Budapest for some heavy dental work, and I'm planning to pay with BTC. Has anyone ever paid his/her dentist with BTC? The dentist I'll see mostly has foreign patients traveling to Hungary because it's much cheaper, so BTC would be convenient for many of them. Any argument I could use to convince my dentist?
if you show him a exchange where he can cash out his bitcoin, i dont see a reason why he wudnt want to accept bitcoin as a payment.

but ive never seen or heard of anyone paying a doctor with bitcoin lol GL!
460  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is blockchain? on: February 16, 2016, 12:06:43 AM
toady i read here about Blockchain...
want to know more about it..
blockchain is like the public ledger for bitcoin, it has records of every bitcoin transaction ever done. thats why it takes forever to download lol.
