CMIIW thats the blockchain (as wallet and block explorer) but the realy blockchain in bitcoin world is the chain of network for all the data of transactions done since day1 |

Blockchain.info was very smart on their naming, that and business sense they have become a HUGE bitcoin company. They just do the majority of hot wallets. But blockchain in general is totally different then blockchain.info. I think OP wanted to know more about the blockchain behind BTC not the wallet. There are some pretty good videos on the topic I would suggest OP hit youtube and take a look. |

Blockchain is more than just an online wallet. Blockchain is actually just another block explorer of bitcoin, probably one of the oldest block explorer however not the most reliable and it contains alot of ads, apart from that the other feature of it would be the online wallet feature however it is by far the less secure wallet around Yeah. It's more like a database storing all the transactions. Why would you say the wallet is less secure? If we own our private key, we own the wallet as well which makes blockchain more reliable and widely used by many forum members. I doubt anyone never having owned a blockchain wallet ever or not having heard of it. |

There's 2 version of blockchain Blockchain wallet, where you can open and store all of your Bitcoin there (Though i don't recommend it as it has security flaws) The second one is blockchain.info Blockchain.info serves as ledger for bitcoin where you can see all of the transactions that is currently happening in Bitcoin world  And you can peek inside someone's wallet and see their balances also  |
