Hard to predict what will happen in the near future. Bitcoin has been getting bad news after bad news lately, pushing its price down. But this gives holders opportunity to buy. If it drops more, I will certainly buy. I’m confident holders will be rewarded tremendously.

There is always a lot uncertainty for any new technology. I would consider crypto currencies and blockchain are relatively new tech although they have been around since 2009. There are still many people who don’t understand it or believe in it, just like the early days of the internet. The recent downturn is actually for good for industry as it takes out the speculators, and rewards the true adopters.

I agree that we need this correction. There will be growing pains for any new platform. We experienced the same thing in the early days of the internet. Crypto currencies are here to stay. I’m confident in its future.

India is still going to explore the blockchain technology in the new digital economy. I believe they mentioned that they are going to crack down on people using crypto for illegal activities. Regardless it’s impossible to completely ban Bitcoin or any Cryptocurrency.

The most attractive and fascinating concept for me about Bitcoin is its decentralized distributed ledger technology of blockchain. There is no central authority that controls the network or currency. I can send money quickly to anyone in the world. Imagine how hard it is now to do that with the current fiat system. It takes time, coordination, and fees to do that now between different banks.

Right now I use Bitcoin as a speculative investment. It has the potential for sizable gains. It takes up a very tiny portion of my portfolio. I consider it as an asset, like gold. It definitely doesn’t act like a company stock because it doesn’t produce any income. I only profit if there is a rise in its price.

If you lose your Bitcoin, it’s like losing cash. It is gone forever, unless someone finds it and willingly returns it to you. There is no way to get a third party to replace it for you. Thus it is critical you understand different methods to store and backup your crypto currency.

Bitcoin will forever be known as the first crypto currency. It’s place in history is already well defined. As such, I believe it will always be a valuable commodity. As long as the people believe in it, it will be a great place to store value.

Right now Bitcoin and Ethereum are the top two coins. They both have a nice lead in their respective fields. But being first to market doesn’t guarantee staying on top forever. Now that more attention is being paid to the blockchain technology, more use cases will pop up. Who knows what will happen to any coins in the future.

Both BTC and ETH are solid coins, the top two names at the moment in crypto. I do believe you should do your own research and learn about the pros and cons of both, as well as other cryptos. The more you understand about this new market, the more knowledgeable about investing. To answer your question, maybe you should split your money to both BTC and ETH.

First thing I would tell a beginner is patience. I’m a newbie as well and I try to read and research as much as I can about crypto. Many beginners jump right in and start buying coins or invest in these shady cloud mining sites without a clue. They hear news reports and fear of missing out on striking it rich. They should join forums like this and learn as much as they can. This site and YouTube are a wealth of solid information.

Yes I do believe we will colonize another planet. Right now it looks like Mars is the most likely option and many people are working on doing that right now. I do think it is beneficial to mankind that we explore other planets. Who knows what will happen to out planet Earth.

Yes it looks like the dip is over and prices are starting to recover. I was hoping for more opportunities to buy some more but I guess I missed it for now. In this market there will be many more wild swings so I’ll just wait for the next one to come.
