442  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of scammer like this..... on: May 19, 2018, 04:52:52 PM
But how to know who to trust when a member that has 200+ merit does this kind of things?
I though that the more merit the member has the more trustworthy that person is.

that a big mistake most newbies do, you don't trust someone according to his rank or merit, you trust him according to his trust rating and deals he had in the past.

Price is cheap and I agree for those first person who mentioned it . You have the abilities to do this kind of things and you should get a good payout for this , but if you just started and few clients yet well this is a good offer for any ICO to test you .
that's the plan

Have you dealt with such problem? How did you solve it?

450  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Interested in Cryptocurrency? Beware of these scams. on: May 10, 2018, 02:43:45 PM

2. Watch out for fake websites.

Look for the "secure"  and "https" markers before a website's URL  in your browser.  If they are not there, the website  might be fraudulent. Also,  check for tiny dots under the letters in the url that could be mean the site is fake.

Https mean: Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure, if a site have it, that doesn't mean the site is legit and not fake, it simple mean the your connection with the site is private,
you can even get it for free, what you can do, is to check the Organisation that the certificate is Issued To.

451  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mastering Blockchain - free eBook on: May 09, 2018, 11:48:31 AM
19MB!!! That's pretty big for an Ebook. Blockchain is something that you learn practically. Of course a book would help but I think you should learn it from your effort and work and experience, with just a little help from a book to understand the thoughts and meanings and mechanism.

the book that Jet Cash shared with us "thank you for that" isn't just free, but is going thru:

  • Blockchain 101
  • Decentralization
  • Cryptography and Technical Foundations
  • Bitcoin
  • Alternative Coins
  • Smart Contracts
  • Ethereum 101
  • Ethereum Development
  • Hyperledger
  • Alternative Blockchains
  • Blockchain-Outside of Currencies
  • Scalability and Other Challenges
  • Current Landscape and What's Next

you should make an effort in reading this Book, you won't regret it.
452  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what is the difference between proof of stake, proof of concept and proof of work on: May 08, 2018, 07:22:48 PM
Proof of stake (PoS) is a type of algorithm by which a cryptocurrency blockchain network aims to achieve distributed consensus. In PoS-based cryptocurrencies, the creator of the next block is chosen via various combinations of random selection and wealth or age (i.e., the stake). In contrast, the algorithm of proof-of-work-based cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin uses mining; that is, the solving of computationally intensive puzzles to validate transactions and create new blocks. source: wikipedia

A proof-of-work (PoW) system (or protocol, or function) is an economic measure to deter denial of service attacks and other service abuses such as spam on a network by requiring some work from the service requester, usually meaning processing time by a computer. source: wikipedia

A proof of concept (POC) is a demonstration, the purpose of which is to verify that certain concepts or theories have the potential for real-world application. POC is therefore a prototype that is designed to determine feasibility, but does not represent deliverables.

Proof of concept is also known as proof of principle.  source: techopedia

Your choice of cryptocurrency wallet depends on the type of cryptocurrency you’re planning to stow away. There are four different kinds of wallets to store virtual currencies in general:

(1) Exchange Wallet:

A wallet that’s part of an exchange where you can buy cryptocurrency from. Usually the wallet is linked to a bank account which can be used to transfer Fiat money to and from the wallet. You can buy and store virtual currency on an exchange such as, Coinbase/GDAX, Bittrex, Bitfinex, Poloniex, Bitstamp, Binance and so on. Exchange wallets are not considered safe for long term use since they can be prone to hackers and brute force attacks. Each year, 15% of Bitcoin and Ethereum is stolen from exchanges and wallets leading to millions of dollars in losses. One can store cryptocurrency in the form of USD, ETH, BTC and LTC on Coinbase. There are other altcoin exchanges too which can be used to buy cryptocurrencies using bitcoin as a form of interconvertible fiat. Each of these could also be backed up to a storage vault (such as that on coinbase) with extra security measures such as email/SMS confirmation or 2FA (two factor authentication) using a google Authy app.

(2) Hardware Wallet:

There are many types of hardware devices (with a display or touchscreen component and small keypad) that serves as a hardware to store your digital assets. Two of the most popular wallets are the Ledger Nano S and a Trezor. There are other companies that sell hardware wallets but the aforementioned ones are the most common ones. Always have a backup of keys (or seeds, or word phrases) to restore your wallet in case of emergency or loss of the device. Always buy your wallet from a trusted source, such as the official Ledger website, never a second hand one from Amazon or EBay. Sometimes, these redistributed wallets can be hacked and broken into, some of these are sold with altered chipsets, hence always make sure you buy from a trusted source. Hardware wallets are considered the safest of the lot, since they can’t be hacked easily. They can also be configured with a passcode and paraphrase. Three failed attempts at entering the passcode and the contents of the wallet is wiped clean. Usually many different types of currencies can be backed up on a given hardware wallet.

(3) Software Wallet:

Each cryptocurrency has its own desktop version of a wallet which can be used to store currency. Staking is offered which means, you get a % return on investment to store your funds on a desktop wallet for a given time interval. This service is being offered by many new emerging currencies and ICO’s (initial coin offerings) in an effort to encourage long term holders of these coins. Software wallets can also be installed on phones. They are not very secure and have shown to be prone to hacks but they can be used easily especially if you’re used to storing funds on your phone, on the go.

(4) Paper Wallets:

There are many paper wallet generator websites that provide a public and private key for a certain type of crypto currency. These keys are usually a random assortment of letters and numbers in the form of a string. The public key serves as the wallet address. The private key is linked to the public address and should never be revealed unless you’re trying to withdraw funds from the wallet. The paper wallet should be stored in a safe olace, away from prying eyes and multiple copies should be made in case of loss, or circumstances such as a fire or flood. If the keys are lost, the funds are also lost forever: A paper wallet is the cheapest form of securely storing cryptocurrency. One such website to generate an Ethereum-based paper wallet (which supports ERC 20 and ERC 23 using smart contracts) is MyEtherWallet.com. The paper wallet can be stored as a JSON file or a PDF containing unencrypted public and private keys.

I recommend using a combination of at least two types of wallets to store cryptocurrency. The safest bet is a hardware wallet in addition to a paper wallet which can contain a paper backup of keys and necessary codes.

455  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: warning, phishing sites in google search on: May 06, 2018, 01:40:15 AM
even using adblock extension it will not block google search ads, at least not for me.
Then you are using a bad adblock.

I recommend uBlock Origin (chrome/firefox). Haven't seen a single Google ad in more than 1 year. And for those who manage to bypass the block, I manually add it to the filter and never see them again.

you were right, i was using a bad adblock, uBlock Origin works just fine, thanks.
456  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: warning, phishing sites in google search on: May 06, 2018, 01:12:44 AM
Easiest solution ever: use an adblock extension and never fall for this phising websites with ads on Google.
Work very well on me, i use adblock and never see phising site again.

even using adblock extension it will not block google search ads, at least not for me.
457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🌠[15$]🌠 - 🚀 Signature Designs - 💎 Fair & Reasonable Price. on: May 05, 2018, 03:47:28 PM
why the price of services you put so cheap?
cheap price help to get more attention, because i just started and i need to have few orders before i raise my price

$15 is really cheap price for all rank signatures (5-6 signatures) . cheap price will help you to gain more attention .

that's the plan
458  Economy / Web Wallets / warning, phishing sites in google search on: May 05, 2018, 03:24:02 PM
when i was doing some keywords researches, I found this phishing site that is a complete clone of the online wallet blockchain.info
be careful when using search engines, this phishing site is so professional made that you can't tell the difference between the real and the fake one

in search result the ad have the domain name "blockchainnorth.se" that get redirected to "blockclnains.info/index.html" you can check it yourself

edit: while i was writing this the ad got taking down, but the phishing site is still up.

Please report any Phishing page that you'll see in Google search results at https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/?hl=en

459  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Do you think it is fair to save merits for low-ranked members? on: May 05, 2018, 02:37:12 PM
I know, actually it depends on the user.

its not, it depends on the post, you should care less about who is the poster or his rank.
460  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTS 0.6BTC TO Skrill 1:1 or ETH, BCH, on: May 05, 2018, 01:50:10 PM
why don't you just use shapeshift.io if you need ETH or BCH or any other coins they support, it will be much faster and safer.
