I'm personally not calling this a scam coin 'yet'.  I'm just warning people to think very carefully before installing any closed source software released by an anonymous BTT account.  The cryptocurrency scene was built up on opensource principles and foundations.  The sooner you release a road map for it to become 100% opensource the better.  I've been following Zerocoin development for quite some time now so am genuinely interested in this coin.  Has Poramin officially confirmed that this is his project?  If so do you have a link to the statement?

There's no reason for any crypto project to be closed source for even one minute. The money follows the original implementations here. You only need to beat the guy who clones your coin by one minute.

Just release the source and be done with it.

And install the stealth delete bot.

Oh man. This is perfect.
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ZeroVert - First Zerocoin Implementation | New gold standard for privacy on: November 08, 2014, 08:53:11 AM
zerovert - keep your shitheads off sdc board or this scam will not see the light of day. Your delete key will not keep up.

I am sure if he's smart enough he could setup the XSTerminate bot;

Hahaha! That's too funny. Completely brilliant.

You can try to convince your self of whatever you want. Fact is that the only reason to have a self-moderated thread is to hide stuff and avoid facing the music.

No dumbass. It's because trolls like you don't know when to quit. You are still shitting on this thread because you simply need to shit somewhere.
445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ZeroVert - First Zerocoin Implementation | New gold standard for privacy on: November 06, 2014, 12:45:57 AM
The accumulator requires an RSA modulus of unknown factorization, so we used the RSA modulus of unknown factorization from the world renowned RSA factoring challenge.

Is there any way to verify this since the source is not available? Just have to take your word for it and keep an eye on the blockchain for double spends?

Yes, that's the case for now. I assure you that the N value is in fact from the RSA modulus. Also Poramin is a well known cryptocurrency developer, who also made Vertcoin - the first coin that really made a good effort towards ASIC resistance (and one of top 5 most valuable cryptocurrencies this february)

How about a zero knowledge proof that you have a trustless setup. Use a zk-snark. That's what they are for.

Congratulations, you just calculated how many satoshi are in a bitcoin.

I thought that's what he asked.

He wanted the price in Satoshis.

I like that ever increasing slope.
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BRO] Coin Sale LIVE! |Breakout Coin|Virtual Mining Rig|CELEBRITIES|Gaming on: November 05, 2014, 10:10:41 PM
If 1 bitcoin buy 5,500 breakout coins. How many satoshi is that?

1 / 5500 * 10^8 * 5500 = 100,000,000 satoshi

Congratulations, you just calculated how many satoshi are in a bitcoin.

Am I correct in thinking that those who receive Bergstake from the Coin Sale will always be the owner of said Berstake as it is not transferable?

That is correct, only the original buyers of BRO in the "coin sale" and the dev team will ever have Bergstake.  It is not transferable.  You can give a copy of your wallet and private key away, but there is a trust issue involved, that a duplicate was not made and kept.

Given that the essence of bitcoin is asset transfer, it's strange that Bergstake is not transferable in BRO. The cryptographic infrastructure for transfer of Bergstake is in there.

Bergstake is defined as the output of the coinbase transaction. Bergstake is like a bitcoin transaction. can you transfer a transaction? no. a transaction is a transaction. you can transfer coins with a new transaction, but once a transaction is made it lasts forever, it cannot be changed.

Bergstake refers to a part of a transaction, the address of its output. Bergstake does NOT refer to the coins from this output, that would be the stake.

Yes, you can transfer a transaction. This isn't in the bitcoin core protocol, but neither is Bergstake itself.

If you identify the transaction that generates the bergstake by it's scriptsig, you can sign the scriptsig as part of a new transaction. The new transaction becomes the transferred Bergstake.

It's not a leap of imagination here. And not a lot of coding either. All the infrastructure is there.

Don't listen to the Barbie drama, the PINK team has not dumped their coins. In fact most of us have been taking advantage of the low price and buying more.

The radio silence is simply because we are working on some big ass projects. After the poker debacle, we were encouraged to go back to our inital idea of Pay With Pink. This entails a new online wallet, a pinkcoin exchange, and a bunch of other features all bundled up into one big system that will all be released at the same time.

Barbie is just upset because his FUD resulted in Pinkcoin creating a moderated thread. Much like he has been doing here on Seedcoin.

Hehe...  These scammers, as everyone can clearly see for themselves (the wallets addresses are all there) have been selling off-market for months (and they are convinced it is OK to do so, so count on it continuing happening). They have been selling software also, and pocketing the cash. And, as clearly exposed, dumping in the MILLIONS.

And no, they are not buying any PINK, that's why the price is stagnant and going much lower in no volume. That project is done for there's nothing this guys can add to what they have done so far, including that poker debacle. And the SEED debacle. And the charity debacle...

As for the moderated thread, it is the refuge of the nazis, like everyone knows. No one that has nothing to hide hides in a self-moderated thread. But for me? a very nice rest from the utter nonsense and bullshit the dumpers/scammers post there.

You guys are bad people, toxic waste in crypto. And need to get out. or forced out.

But you can hide for now in your self-moderated thread that interest people just as much as your now joke of a coin. You are doing GREAAAT!

It's much better for innovation to have moderated threads. It takes a lot of energy to respond to the same fud posts over and over in new and different ways.

Just delete and move on and get some work done. You fudders are huge energy wasters.

The seed dev should do the same. At least he has the good sense not to respond.

Of course your next post is "why isn't the dev responding?" Answer: you trolls are a repetitive joke.

A quick trip to wikipedia shows that the zero cash protocol is better for bloat.

Why not claim you are using zero cash?

Guys, more questions:

1. Can you get a PoD from CryptoAsian? Who are the devs here? Why haven't you gotten a PoD? Every other ICO does this, why can't you?

2. You exude a lot of confidence that you will be able to sell what is left from the ICO on the aftermarket. (a) Why do you have this confidence? (b) What happens to the coins if you can't find buyers? Not every ICO goes to completion. Can coins leftover from the aftermarket be destroyed along with their Bergstake? If you have leftover coins, even from the ICO phase, it's going to kill confidence in the crypto. Leftover coins will be especially damaging post-aftermarket.

3. What advantage does a cryptocurrency have over an in-house currency? Why are you going this route? Isn't having a cryptocurrency just an easy way to raise funds (loaded question, but deal with it)?

4. If the ICO is about giving the crypto-community a crack at the coins, then why do you have an funding target? Why not just pull the remaining coins, or better yet, divide them according to ICO investment?

Thanks for your answers!
454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BRO] Coin Sale LIVE! |Breakout Coin|Virtual Mining Rig|CELEBRITIES|Gaming on: November 04, 2014, 07:56:18 AM
To delete posts -even the fact that you have a self-moderated thread- is very, very wrong and counter productive; much better and classier to respond to negative views/accusations with "we are sorry that you don't like our project..."

Give anyone, including yourself, the chance to censor contrarian comments and 100 out of 100 times, he will do exactly that. Even when doing it will result in shooting himself on the foot. Sad reality.

What usually happens is that trolls say the same thing over and over and over even though their comments have been addressed (or ignored) a thousand times already.

An ANN thread is a place for information, not for troll spam.

If anyone feels the need to repeat themselves indefinitely, there is a free-speech button on this page somewhere, where anyone can start a thread and say anything they want.

Free speech != spam a thread with troll posts

Hope that helps!
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEED] SeedCoin | New Road Map on: November 04, 2014, 06:15:28 AM
Anything undrr 90% if you are among the top 6 addresses is just trivial and yes, a pathetic non-effective gimmick. Butvyou are quite wrong otherwise: If current amount is didtributed in a fair way the allows for a community to exist and support the project, it is immaterial if there are 300k coins or 3 million. With proper distribution it would have some value while with current distribution it has none. And will nevrr have more than that: ZERO. You knoe it, regardless of your wishful thinking, and so does everyone else. Further realization will very soon become quite apparent.

Look, here's your collapse in logic. Any but the top address can't give away 90% without putting them below about the 20th address. No one will do that.

Cryptzo, good stuff man. Can't wait to hear more about this wallet BETA release. pm me your address I'll send you 50,000 SEED to put towards contests.

I've also talked to a bunch of people, and the general consensus with the elder tree/top wallet, is that it needs to be trimmed as it is far too large for new investors etc... Even with the seeds falling weekly.

So I think we are going to permanently dedicate 300,000 SEEDs as the elder tree. I will send them to you, and you can throw away the key.

Thoughts?
It's better to burn them than trust someone to throw away the key.

Just send them to this address: sXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXVpr7nX

Once they go there they will never come back.
Can't burn them as they still need to stake in order to continue the weekly distribution. I think the permanent faucet aspect is too good to just burn. I mean, you can buy and start staking 1 Seed today, and by Sunday, you could have 30+ in your wallet.

Okay. I misunderstood what you meant by "throw away the key".

But if you guys want to get cryptographic, decentralized, and automated instead of non-cryptographic, centralized, and manual, I have an idea.

Create a burn address that is hardcoded into the wallet. Something like sXXXXXXXseedcoinfaucetXXXXXXTBEEoq. Then have the blockchain pick a new address randomly from all known to the chain and give seed to it proportional to the addresses's age in the block chain. The blockchain could distribute proportional to the amount in the faucet.

Since seed is pure PoS, the 0 transaction slot of each block is free for this new kind of coinbase.

It would be a first of a kind. Barabaras would call it a gimmick, but it would have the effect of spreading the wealth without relying on a script in someone's computer. Also, it would be completely voluntary.

If that went in, I'd throw a chunk of my holdings at it. By no means 90%, but a nontrivial amount.

Very good time to buy.

Thanks dumpers.

Also, in advanced bid placing, it would be cool if "satoshis above top bid" could be randomized within a range and then stacked, where you could have several of your own bids on top of each other, placed over time, until the spread was too small. Then randomize the place to bid.

This would look like several bidders competing with each other and would close spreads.

For the Bro ICO, is the passphrase supposed to be the "Brainwallet" ?
No. Where did you get this from?

Hi then how do we use the passphrase to redeem our BRO after ico.  didnt get any private public key
the passphrase decrypts your seed, (eseed: breakout-wallet-{btcaddr}.json) used in a deterministic private key generator.

my bad - never heard it referred to as brainwallet b4.

A real brainwallet is a little different. The phrase itself seeds a strong hash or pseudorandom number generator like SHA256 or MT.

From what you say, the BRO passphrase decrypts the seed. It's a subtle difference.
