Agree. I solo mined 80 Goats, but cant do anything with them right now.

bfgminer -o http://127.0.0.1:12646 -u goat -p abcd --set-device antminer:clock=x4C81 -S antminer:all
.conf
Code:
addnode=69.90.132.127
rpcport=12646
rpcpassword=abcd

Hi, yes, i am mining solo.
Since it is altcoin (goatcoin) it is still possible. Grin
While mining bitcoins on btcguild pool i get something about 9,5 GHS. But other pools can give  much better results.
After running miners for about a hour the hashrate stabilizes around 2,6-2,6 GHS

Did you also  changed the resitors on your miners?

Sometimes the soldering joint is not good, maybe try to resolder  R's on those 2.0 GHS Antminer
447  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Bitmain AntMiner U1 Tips & Tricks on: February 02, 2014, 03:48:02 PM
Success! =)
After  moding my PCI card by   connecting the power directly to the 5V input i managed to get very good results:)
Of course   now i dont  have any  USB protection, so if anything happens, i rely on the internal fuse in PSU:)

Now i am running  all 4 miners at 4C81 Configuration.
On higher   frequency i get HW.  Maybe if i replace 2,2K resistor with  higher value i could run it at 4GHS:)
But since I dont want to push them to the limits....:9
I will observe them at this  configuration for the next few days:)
The temperatures are now  a bit higher,  like 5°C more then  values in previous post.

448  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Bitmain AntMiner U1 Tips & Tricks on: February 02, 2014, 11:58:39 AM
Hi,  i measured the Temperature on my 2K2&10K Modes @ 2GHS

Main ASIC: 45 °C
Coil: 38 °C
DC/DC  converter: 45 °C
Ambient temperature : 22 °C
Fan Speed at 45% Smiley

---------------------------------------
I don't use a hub, i am using USB3.0 PCI  extension  card, which is powered directly through my  PSU.My PSU can provide  up to 25 Amp  on 5V rail.
Still i  also have voltage drop on my miners to around 4,2-4,1 V if i   connect more then 2 Miners at once. Which is not good. The funy thing is, that  input voltage on my PCI card  remains stable at 5,2V. So the problem is on  PCI Card itself.
I am also thinking  of connecting 5V rail directly to the USB  PORT, avoiding   everything on  the board.
Maybe i will do it today.
Surely it will void all the  safety  like polyfuses and overvoltage protection, but  i am engineer,i am allowed:)))

449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / My Altcoin concept:Chesscoin :) on: February 02, 2014, 04:14:04 AM
Hi,
I am not a pro programmer (or better to say i am more into hardware then software ).

I just want to share my  coin idea.

Basically it is two coupled coins
ChessCoin: ChessCoinW and ChessCoinB

Yes, it has something to do with chess Grin:

The main website shows a chess game between two very good AI.  Every day (or every N-Days)  a player makes a move.
Depended on how many points a player has, his  COIN : Black coin for black side, and white point for white  changes its parameter(difficulty/block reward etc).
Like if blacks lose queen his difficulty increases while whites do the opposite. In other word the  winning side should be more attractive to mine.
The interesting part is, that you will never know how the game  ends, since we all know that a   situation in chess can change immense in one or two moves, and the winning side will suddenly lose:)

Not sure if there will be only one game, so you can mine only for "short period", since  nobody knows how many moves  the game should last:)
Or maybe there will be  many games, till all coins are gone.

I just want to hear your opinion. Of course if someone with experience will  implement this idea i would be really glad, especially if i will get some donation for it:))

But my cooling solution is better:))

Active cooling with  PC controlled Fan:)

Indeed low temp increase stability and performance:)

Hm, interesting. Did you try to run more Antimners on one hub?
I can also achieve about 2,7 GHS  with two mines on one USB Hub, but when i add more they just stop working, or work at much lower ghs rate.

He means 50 blocks.
You get 0,6 GOAT for one block, thus 50*0,6=30 GOATS.

Yeah, we have really lots of votes.
I am pretty noob in economics,  i am rather engineer=)

What is the best strategy to increase coin value on the market?
As far as i understand just holding coins for yourself isn't the best idea. It is better to fill  the market with coins at  initial high value. So to say to force the price.
But what value should it be?

Hi, i noticed that the difficulty   oscillate between 1k and 30k every 10 hours or so. Is that  intentional?  Smiley
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [GOATCoin] Greatest Of All Time | SHA-256 | Rewards active users | Rare on: January 28, 2014, 08:33:29 PM
Hi,I  added some background, to match it  to coin standards:
Classic one (orange). Look like bitcoin logo, maybe it will also make people confident with it...or they will think "Huh, another clone..."":

Red. Very aggressive. Grabs your attention. But  to me it is not so confident, rather unpredictable...:

The last one, blue: Combining unusual colours in cryptocurrency. Skyblue and Yellow make me feel  free and happy=)

Of course you can choose your own logo,  but in case people  will vote  for  my idea, they can also  choose colour  Smiley

457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [GOATCoin] Greatest Of All Time | SHA-256 | Rewards active users | Rare on: January 28, 2014, 06:12:37 PM
I think 24k gold plated logo is a bit better  then previous one Cool
458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [GOAT] The coin that rewards it users. SHA256. Hurry, difficulty low! on: January 28, 2014, 04:14:43 AM
Its ok, i just forgoat to place .conf file in the right folder:))

I like to mine solo,  feel the luck =)

PS
I think the logo should  be easy recognizable while in "logo"-size on most  trade websites,  64x64 or so.

Most detailed logos turns to rubbish, with golden goat it shouldn't be the case:)
459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [GOAT] The coin that rewards it users. SHA256. Hurry, difficulty low! on: January 28, 2014, 03:51:25 AM
Cool. Will start solo mining goats.
But honestly I would prefer more minimalistic logo:)

What about this one?=)

Measure different voltages on the testpoints.
