I Can just shake my head when i Read the last few pages here, i cannot understand that people like being Controlled, throttled and manipulated in every possible way.

This concept is total bullshit, even Ripple is better.
What YOU and your shitty friends are trying to do is to control, throttle and manipulate others. How fuckin ironic, ain't it?

I can just shake my head when I see pool owners talking shit here thinking about their own pockets under the pretense it's for the good of crypto.
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore MRO/QCN/FCN/BCN GPU Miner v2.0 on: June 15, 2014, 04:21:41 PM

Probably you guys have Hynix vram cards, while those with lower performance, like mine, have Elpida vram. I have 1200/1500 and get something shy of 1.3KH/s per 3x 290 GPU rig.

Old story, already happened with other coins.

Unless you have 290X -cards?
I'm running 1150/1500 and am getting 1805h/s with 3x r9 290 with hynix.

Code:
[2:14am] <psorano> <bittrex-bill> do you plan on adding minerals?
[2:15am] <bittrex-bill> psorano: as of right now, we dnt plan on it
[2:15am] <bittrex-bill> minerals is an interesting concept but it violates our principle of open source wallets
[2:15am] <bittrex-bill> they were willing to give us the source but i think the community needs to read and review the code
[2:16am] <bittrex-bill> we're willing to reconsider based on feedback from the community.
[2:16am] <psorano> *dumps bag on ccex*
[2:17am] <bittrex-bill> but imagine if someone decides to bash the mineral thread, no one will be able to independantly verify one way or the other.
[2:19am] <bittrex-bill> the other reason were not willing to launch it yet is that all of the pools are under their control. they can 51% attack us at any time
[2:19am] <bittrex-bill> i have no evidence that why would. the mineral coins have been very transparent with us up to this point. but its a definite worry

The dev already stated that Bittrex would not do anything until after POW is over.

This coin probably is a scam  Roll Eyes

Beware , like Honorcoin

this twat is a fud poster ignore him

Bittrex Bill is very smart.  In fact, Mintpal and Poloniex say the same.  Bill is beating around the bush being political here,  where in fact, the real reason is the privatization of Cryptocurrency which Bittrex, Poloniex, Mintpal, and other smart exchanges DO NOT AGREE WITH.

Do not make crypto private, you will fail.

I don't understand why are you personally so against this idea. I truly hope that future coins will think about implementing something similar. Pools, like yours, have too much influence and power over crypto and that can't be good. ASICs are another problem. Privacy is temporary and only during the POW stage, moreover source code was given to some people. As the POW stage approaches its end the source and wallets will be released. I think that comparison to Microsoft's secrecy is just not fair.

ps Part of Darkcoin code is private but you support it, why?

btw do you guys remember when was NXT code released? I think at the beginning of this year, something like 2 months after their IPO.

I am here for the goodness of Crypto.  I have been here much longer than anyone and have tried to form a society that is good to move forward.  Privatization of crypto will not been tolerated.  You may or may not know there is a society of over 150 people, pool owners, exchanges, leaders in crypto that all VETO'd your coin - it is just not me.  People will not stand for stuff like this - the scams are already too bad and developers are trying to gain more and more control.  It won't happen.

You seem like a nice guy and for that I feel bad that it worked out like this for you.  Your idea was probably good on paper but you probably never considered the backlash from the engineering community that created these walelts and crypto in general.  Sure miners will mine anything under the sun - they have no idea of the implications.  But the people who created crypto are looking out for them.  Private sources are not accepted, under any circumstance - that is not crypto anymore.. it is paypal or whatever.  We don't want paypals.  People want to be able to control their wallets and review source codes.  We want public ledgers and pools and exchanges, not backroom bargins and developer 100% control.

LOL, what a bunch of bullshit.

You don't want privatization of crypto yet you talk about this secret society made out of elitists? Get real. If anything of what you're saying is true than you're obviously trying monopolize the market. Fucking sick TBH.

And please, give me a break, don't talk about the "people" like you're trying to protect them/us or some other shit. The way you act, write and express w/e resembles the lowest form of politics - egocentric thinking at its purest.
Sure miners will mine anything under the sun - they have no idea of the implications.
Are you real? and you implementing all those shit coins do know? You haven't got a fuck clue. You're just cashing them all out.

We want public ledgers and pools and exchanges, not backroom bargins
Says the guy in his so called hidden society.
And who the fuck is we.

For those who were wondering when I would release my profit calculator , it's here Wink Loads of people were asking for it, but it isn't the profit switcher yet. But it's a big part of it, so tell me your findings.

Requires NET4.5!
Sweet man! lol @ the face, who the hell is that farmer joe?

BTW, when is the ETA for the cudawatcher? and do you need test subjects?
446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology is Pulling Posts On Their Site on: June 15, 2014, 10:48:55 AM
Well, here's a lesson in life for you: there's what you want, and than there's what I want, and I wanna post a reply, so yeah.

I called it greed and still will cause it is what it is - if you wanna call it compete, than w/e float your boat man.

But hey, as long as they got their 100% guarantee refund policy, it was a "different" decision to be made, eh?

And good for you for mining for so long, shame you haven't got the capacity to learn anything at all from past mistakes (yours or others).

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

Good luck though, and despite all the was said, I sincerely hope you do get your money back.
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology is Pulling Posts On Their Site on: June 15, 2014, 10:22:30 AM
I appreciate your long post and actually reading the forum but you yourself are wrong. Here is why.

It is not greed that lead me to them, it was the simple need to try and compete, and actually make a few dollars. That is not greed, that is good business.

I never considered myself a customer, and in fact had you taken the time to read the entire post I said investor. They promised a money back guarantee before the actual due date, I requested one. They refuse to answer email, and they are banning people from their forums if they even ask. Please stay on topic. Do not preach to those that are more aware of the situation than you.

First off, you really need to slow down my friend, as when I invested, 25mh/s a was unheard of. Did I take a chance.. you bet i did.. but they also claimed a 100% back guarantee that before any time of shipping I had the opportunity to request a refund. I did that, and got banned from the forums and no response to email as of the current time.

To make claims of I am not sorry you got scammed and yes I can call it a scam because all I did was ask them to honor what they promised, a money back guarantee.

Again, I am not a consumer, and please stop using this word. I took and investment in them on the pretense of a money back guarantee.

Starscream, pleae do not post again, as you are merely saying I told you so, and that is not the case at all. Learn to speak, before you open your trap. You come here and try and inform folks, but yet you simply laugh in not just mine, but others faces. How is that helpful? How in any way can anyone see your post as informative?  It simply is not.

I did read the post and you can call you what you want, but at the end of the day it was greed - you saw a quick way to make some quick buck.
If you really wanted to compete you'd go buy GPUs and make a farm, if you'd done it, like I did it at feb, you'd already have seen ROI (I know I have).

And I'm not sure why you keep mentioning this "100% guarantee refund" nonsense like Alpha-T is some reputable entity that has the sources to actually fulfill this promise.

Give me 10k$ for my secret project, and at any time you have 100% guarantee refund. Would you? Hell if you would without an escrow.
448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: June 15, 2014, 10:13:45 AM

Hi, thx for the info. I'll check JPC.

With a single GTX 750 Ti on a non-powered riser I'm getting:
- x11 (Nicehash): 2.6MHs
- Quark (pool): 4.4MHs
- Groestl (pool): 7.6MHs
- Jackpot (pool): 5.5MHs

Power consumption varies from 85W to 92W.
x11 is the one with less consumption figure.

EDIT: How many JPCs one GTX750Ti can make a day?

wat. 5.5mhs on jackpot? I'm only getting 3700khs and 3550khs with my two 750ti's :/
Yep. Use the latest miner from source, which has Killer Groestl xD If you can't compile yourself, and you trust me enough, I have it ready here: https://github.com/KBomba/ccminer-KBomba/releases
Any worthwhile Groestl coins out there?

BTW, you still mining on minep? talkcoin pool is dead, right?
449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology is Pulling Posts On Their Site on: June 15, 2014, 08:24:29 AM
I believe the hope was that not only consumers, but also the COMPANIES THEMSELVES, learned from the past.
No, the hope was always that the "consumers" will learn their lesson.
Most "companies" that engaged in the pre-order practice ended up as nothing but scam (hence the quotation marks around the word companies).
Some came out legit (if you can call extreme late delivery as legit). But still, the majority were scam.

This is terrible business practice.
You assume said companies were real to begin with.

People dont learn from the past. Wasnt it the same with Butterflylabs? Why do you guys still pre-order, is your greeed that high? :/
Can someone explain to me how we keep letting people like this get away with terrible business practices while we just sit on forums either 'bitching' or saying 'I told you so' ?
I'll assume with my reply that you also gave them money.

Anyway, I can tell you easy how this keeps happening: people keep throwing money for vaporware because of greed. No-one to blame but themselves.

Don't wanna get scammed? Don't give your money to complete and total strangers.
So yeah, "I told you so" is quite a reasonable response.

You don't wanna let them get away with it? Than go do something about it. Your money, your responsibility.

I'll never understand people giving money for a product that doesn't exist. That doesn't make you a consumer, that makes you an investor (they only sell it as a pre-order so that they can get your money under the pretense that you're a consumer), and as such, you also assume the risk that the product will never see the light of day and that you'll lose all your money.

If you thought for a moment that you're a consumer... Oh boy.

A lot of people kept warning everyone else that pre-orders are bad, that you might get scammed completely, and even if you wouldn't, there's a big chance you'll get the product so late you'll never see ROI.

Despite all of that, people like the OP still decided to go on ahead with the pre-order. He wasn't forced to, no1 hacked his wallet and payed for it against his will nor did anyone hold a gun to his head.

You're all grown ups (I assume), you made a decision willingly and freely, I'm not sorry you got scammed, just hope you've learned your lesson.

If you wanna get something done about it, than those who feel like they got scammed (I suppose you can't call it a scam just yet, as they haven't reached their deadline - I think) need to get together and do something. Asking the entire crypro-currency community as a whole to do something is just not the way.

BTW, in what other market in the world do you pre-order a product that doesn't exist (and never has) under the pretense that you're a consumer and that you'll get the product 100%?

Thanks Bombadil for the quick upload!

BTW, what settings are you using for your 750ti? (core/mem clocks and do you over volt?)
+60core, +200mem, +31mv. I don't know if going lower could work too, but this is the highest I could get for both my EVGA SC one and Gigabyte one (same main desktop rig).
So give it a go if you're into OC Wink
Oh, thought you did more OC Cheesy Maybe I over did it? I'm running with +160-200 core (got 5 cards each with different offset) and +400 mem, 0mv.
Getting about 5.5kh/s with jpc and 8k with nist5

Asics and Multipools are an obvioius cheat so we don't have them.

Cmon now. Cheats? Seriously? Multipools are made up of hashers just like your 6 private pools, there is 0 difference.
Merc82.. I'm so disappointed you stoop to the level of binaryclock and that other twat from suchpool. Multipools don't help any coin, we all know that, especially your kind which is profit switching. Don't be a hypocrite by denying it. Albeit, all you do is offer a service, and you can't harm unless miners join it, but let's not pretend it's good for the coins you dump.
So by cheat I'm pretty he meant in his context that you harm the coin.

If pools really wanted to help coins they'd at least go the p2pool route.
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Increase your GPU hashrate! on: June 12, 2014, 03:10:28 PM
we allready knew about this one, but sadly my cards for some reason refuse to go as low as 150-200mhz for memory.
is there some bios version that allows you to reduce you clocks so low ?

there isn't one, but you could mod your own bios to do it using a bios editor (they exist, but as i haven't tried any myself i can't recommend one). why would you want your clocks so low?

Phate
Pretty sure they miss understood the solution and/or the problem to begin with.

I've contacted Bittrex and Poloniex
Got a conversation with Bittrex Bill when he said that they are interested in hosting a market for MIN-BTC, but the conversation is pretty slow coz he replies me once every 24 hours.
No replies from Poloniex yet

You could also help by contacting Bittrex and Poloniex through their tickets and twitter to host a market for Minerals

Thanks!
For what it's worth, I already contacted richiela from Bittrex and asked him to host the coin exchange due to the attempt of various pool owners in shutting this coin down and keeping coins centralized within their limits.

Controversial coin this one. Going to be worth a lot!

Let's let it play out the way the devs intend and we'll see what happens. It will be an interesting experiment I guess.

It won't be worth anything.  Exchanges aren't hosting it.

You'll be mining air.

Coin is dead before it started.

You're fucking disgusting.

where new ver Huh
Pretty sure Claymore completely abandoned XPM.

Why do you think so? I'm busy with other miners but I still have ideas for XPM miner speedup. Next update will be available in several days.
No word or updates in this thread for quite some time.
But if you say there's an update soon... okai, so long as it's proportional to the decrease in price :p
