I don't want DRK guys coming to our MRO thread and trolling/retaliating back. If you really have honest questions, read the DRK wiki and FAQ and or go to their forum and register and talk to guys there. I am sure you have a linkedIn profile too. And when DarkSend is improved beyond Cryptonote, and all cryptonote coins are still so far behind, what then?

I am not comparing here but implementing ring signatures will take considerable change to the codebase and it hasnt been implemented on a protocol other than cryptonote yet, so its questionable
Not in the least bit questionable, if you've been around long enough to know Evan. He's amazingly fast coding, and the infrastructure of Darkcoin is incredibly useful. Evan doesn't care if he has to throw code away and rewrite it a thousand times to get it perfect. He is the antithesis to lazy and stupid. But that's ok, go ahead and invest in any coin you like, I don't care. I certainly don't go posting on other forums telling people they shouldn't invest in their coin. Never have i done this (as TanteStefana, I misplaced my password or else it got hacked?) Ever. I don't need to. People come here, learn and then they see for themselves which is the best coin to invest in. Not that I don't want to spread the word, I just think it's low going into other people's threads and advertising your own coin. Even so it's always done. I don't mind discussions that include or ask about other coins, but doing what you're doing here, I'd never do. I am not even advertising anything, why do you people get so defensive of your investments? You hope for a sharp price drop? The unit count is comparable to CINNI, and CINNI wasn't nearly as developed at the time it was hovering around 11k sats. Price seems low. New website looks like it is coming along nicely too.
Ok let me rephrase. I don't want a *sharp* price drop for sure. I am way too invested in XLB to actually WANT a price drop. But given the dynamic in crypto-currency these days, the only way you can get rid of the pumpers and dumpers is for them to dump completely and move onto something else. I am really concerned with the movement over the last two days and the advent of the chest thumpers. And I am mightily afraid that an early pump of XLB will kill the coin, we are yet to form a strong community for us to have enough number of holders who can withstand a massive dump after a pump. Think about it. Yes you are right, we need a stronger community, not a few pumpers. Today the top address dropped 200k coins and the new top is 500k coins only, this is the BEST distribution i ever saw in a coin. Have a look at the rich list, the spread is good so there are lots of people holding the coin who can withstand every little dump. Good days ahead |

Yup, i have invested a lot in Monero, it will be 'the' coin On what basis would Monero be "the" coin? It's a Bytecoin clone. Its development is months behind DRK. By the time Monero becomes accessible to the average person, DRK will already have I2P, ring signatures, IP obfuscation as well as momentum. Also, there's the fact that Bytecoin/Monero/Cryptonote clones aren't perfect, read Anonymint's criticisms. Releasing a coin on the darknet and mining it for 2 years where a few people know about it hardly counts... It most definatly counts. It is the true definition of anonymous and at this point the most anonymous anyone can get. So perhaps we should asterisk our title and say we were the first anonymous coin that wasn't mined extensively by small groups of people in the know for two years time. That could work, I guess. You could argue that there were issues with Dark's launch, but at the same time, it was at least public to a pretty wide userbase, let alone continues to be referenced in the how the coin started thread on the official forums. Even bitcoin wasnt much known than a small group in early days but it doesnt mean litecoin will say its the first crypto currency |
