441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple releases 333 million more Tokens on: April 07, 2017, 04:54:52 PM
Do you think Ripple will be a good payment method in next 2 years and it will reach at 1 usd/XRP . In my opinion it can be real and I have bought some XRP coins as saving money in future. Now it's only 0.02+usd and quite cheap for future investment.
Ripple will never reach dollar parity if they continue to randomly increase coin cap. If they did it before what will stop them from doing it in the future?

How much do 4 ripples cost?
1 Ripple = $0.035890 Price is so insignificant that you can easily buy thousand of Ripples if you like.
But what is the point? It is not good capital investment? Fiat money has the same properties.
442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New cryptocurrency launched in India on: April 06, 2017, 04:54:49 PM
New cryptocurrency that is integrated with a biorecognition system, electronic banking system, the blockchain and the possibility of a small paid services, will be presented April 6 by the company Humaniq.

The company thus expects to launch bitcoin and Bank for the poor, the audience is 2 billion people. Moreover, emphasis will be placed on the residents of India.
In the future, the project Humaniq should give you an idea and predictions for the future of blockchain technology in the global financial industry.
The idea of the company is to integrate the already existing practices of digital financial technology and social experiments. The project will be to issue a cryptocurrency HMQ.
Transactions are not anonymous, access system will be provided with biorecognition user's facial geometry, and perspective and voice.
Users will be provided a start-up loan 500 HMQ and low-paid work in the framework of the entire concept. Users can earn $30-60 a month for the checking account of the operation of the site or Refine the geolocation.
The company's mission is Humaniq put providing fundamentally new services to the audience of 2 billion people, to work with bitcoin, the system will not.
Later in Humaniq are going to convert the cryptocurrency into the national.

Awful idea, which stands totally against concept of decentralized cryptocurrencies. They should rather rename this 'coin' to CIACOIN or SPYCOIN.
Not anonymous transactions and just to use this coin I need to to share not only my ID but my face, my voice and maybe other biodata.
You sure they don't need people's DNA too?
443  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin deep to $1070 best time to buy. on: April 06, 2017, 04:36:15 PM
Meh, i want cheaper coins.
Like we all. But from the hindsight that call was really good, especially considered BTC is now $1173 and still rising.
Easy $100 profit on each BTC bought.

Little side note, so you want huge profit? It is still not too late to buy LTC, SegWit is not activated, when it will be on, price will be pushed higher.
LTC Stats: Last week price change +75% Last Month +200%
444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DASH crypto-son "SibCoin" is conquering Asia on: April 06, 2017, 04:17:37 PM
Where can I read more info about it? They really don't have website in English?
You can visit their original website it is Russian, but you can change language to English or Chinese. http://sibcoin.org/en/
It is still not perfect as not everything is translated to English. This coins seems to be targeted towards asian market above else.
There is also ANN thread, but it is... in Russian: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1153781.0
445  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Minegate.org? on: April 05, 2017, 07:04:09 PM
- you have no idea who is behind this service, there is no address, no office, no telephone, no contact info beside email
- the only payment method is bitcoin, another loose end
- no photos of mining equipment, only vague information how they are having data centers and using 'German ASICS'
- in case something will go wrong you will have their bitcoin address and email

My thoughts? Minergate.org is not trustworthy enough for me to deposit my coins.
446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 7 Traits of A Pump and Dump on: April 05, 2017, 06:34:13 PM
Some views from this article are amazing, really well put and straight to the point, I laughed so hard at this:

"Again, humans are as dumb as sheep and goats – they run together without really understanding why – a great example of this was Zcash;
no one really knew why they wanted it, but everyone else wanted it and Zcash crashed over 99.99%."

It illustrate how easy people can be manipulated, and it has very little with being intelligent. As we all share herd mentality.
447  Economy / Speculation / Re: Looks like 2000 next month on: April 05, 2017, 06:21:34 PM
Not so soon buddy that  the price will hit so much by a month .it is statistically said that the  price will touch 2000$ by the first week of july .have patience and wanna get money you got to have some little patience.
Wait, what? What statistic did you use to determine that? Three is nothing we can say about Bitcoin's price in July.
No technical indicators will even came close to predict the price, and there is no planned events like halving or release of new update we can use to build our hope on.
Until proven otherwise I call $2000 per BTC impossible until scaling issues will be resolved.
448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy Litecoin Inmediately. on: April 04, 2017, 09:29:47 PM
http://segwit.co/ltc.

Its reading 61.3% at the moment
I don't know what your source is showing 61% while this: http://litecoinblockhalf.com/segwit.php shows 68%
Either way, Op is totally right, with SegWit activated (even thought LTC didn't need it as bad as BTC needs it) effect on price will be huge.
It might be the biggest upward trend in the LTC history or... nothing will happen when people will realize that it is 'only' LTC.
449  Economy / Economics / Re: March 2017 , february 2017, january 2017, 2016’s top cryptocurrencies on: April 04, 2017, 09:15:32 PM
Any comments on new currency rank? Didn`t ripple surprise you?
We can still argue that Ripple is not real and 'true' cryptocurrency. Real cryptocurrency = decentralization.
How crypto controlled by one company, with centralized validation, premined and 20% taxed with ability to freeze tokes of its users can be considered a crypto.
450  Economy / Speculation / Re: I believe we are under a big troll job by whales and miners on: April 04, 2017, 08:35:08 PM
Bitcoin is not a bubble but it is not perfectly stable asset as well. People would like it to be constantly growing and never ever drop its value.
That can't be done, market cap is not that high, presence of early adopters/whales who can manipulate price by dumping/rebuying coins is a perfectly possible scenario.

Wow ... I must have taken a wrong turn somewhere, seems like I'm in the twilight zone ...  Undecided
Simple fact: just because we can't see something doesn't mean it's not there.
It is hard to prove this kind of manipulation of market, but it will be stupid to think it is impossible.

451  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-04-04] Tech Writer Warns The Uninitiated: Don’t Own Bitcoin on: April 04, 2017, 08:07:07 PM
Interesting words from a man whose company lost to Google and now is a shadow of its former self.
David Pogue shows us exactly the kind of thinking that made Yahoo a 2nd tier company it is today.
He is not exactly claiming that Bitcoin is bad - he said that is is unreasonable to think you can be rich by purchasing BTC and he is right.
Another liability is when a bitcoin exchange goes out of business - and he is right here as well, but 3rd party companies are not part of bitcoin network.
452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC is the next pump, buy before moon landing!!!!! on: April 03, 2017, 08:17:50 AM
Why exactly did litecoin's price increase by so much? Was there some new technology introduced or was it just a pump? Wondering because the price had been stagnant for so long.
I was probably because of SegWit signalling for Litecoin started, and there is high chance that Litecoin will accept SegWit.
We are at 336/576 (58.33%) blocks signaling support for SegWit in the past 24 hours, to activate it we need 75% majority.

453  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I was hoping Trump would come out and admit on: April 03, 2017, 08:01:06 AM
I'm hoping Bernie survives til 2020

No. He won't. Even if he is able to participate in the Democrat primaries, he won't be able to secure the nomination, due to massive amounts of voter fraud. BTW, I heard that Elizabeth Warren is going to be the Democrat nominee for 2020. Another cakewalk for Trump assured.

Also, Sanders was born in 1941.  He would be running for president at 79 years old, which really does not seem possible.
Many people said that Bernie Sanders shouldn't be running for president as he is too old even now.
But the same people forget that Trump is only 5 years younger, and he is currently 70 (born in 1946)
So does Trump's life expectancy is so different that Sanders'? They both can live for more than 10 years.
Bernie has already survived to 74, with no terminal disease or anything like that, in good health.
454  Economy / Economics / Re: Spending Bitcoins on: April 03, 2017, 07:04:25 AM
Exactly and not only gambling people are spending huge amount of bitcoins even on trading sites and that is the best thing for the bitcoin economy as we need circulation of coins and cannot afford to keep our bitcoins idle in our wallet.
I will hold my coins for now, there is not enough good incentive for me to spend them. Sending them now, when we need to pay a half dollar transaction fee is a bit of waste IMO.
There is no exactly any incentive to use your coins when they might be worth 2x or 3x of current value in a year. Plus, you need to have access to your coins if/when Hard Fork happens.
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [vDice.io]►Ethereum Blockchain Gambling►►**New & Awesome Version of Site on: April 03, 2017, 06:23:55 AM
Just now checked with the site to play the game but i am not able to understand how it is going to work, if i am sending ETH to 5% game then how will it be decided whether i selected high or low odds to bet.
There is no high or low bets, there is only low. If you picked 5% bet then to win your Lucky Number must be equal or lower to 500.
If you would pick 90% win chance game then winning number needs to be lower or equal to 9000.
456  Economy / Speculation / Re: Almost 1,100 on: April 03, 2017, 06:13:34 AM
We broke previous major resistance level – $1100 and found ourselves again on the path of Bitcoin bullish trend.
Unfortunately hard fork possibility is negatively impacting Bitcoin and because of that new ATH is less likely.
So $1200 is maximum price we can reach now. A little sad because with SegWit activated we would be sitting on $3k in 2017 for sure.

457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Dogecoin have a future? on: April 02, 2017, 08:10:31 PM
Dogecoin know that it is dead so now the only solution is to suck it off Etehreum, how sad.
Once big crypto mentioned as third popular altcoin behind Bitcoin and Litecoin will end up as flunkey of Etehreum.
Good luck to this project, maybe its devs will actually manage to rise Doge from the dead (just like SegWit for LTC is working right now)
458  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Website Directory on: April 02, 2017, 02:10:22 AM
error :
 Sorry!

Something went wrong with your request. This incident is logged and we are already notified about this problem.

and when i visit the main domain its redirect to another domain ( blog )

What do you expect? You resurrected a 2 years old thread. After that time original site advertised in the op is no longer available.
Bitcoin Depository websites are not the most stable and long lasting services after all. They either disappear completely or are no longer maintained by the owner.
That new site is no longer updated too - last entry is from October 30, 2016.
459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How today was my last btc transaction. on: April 02, 2017, 01:20:24 AM
You can solve easily with the correct size fee that is not related the amount you spend but is related to size of transaction.

for example if you spend more input (2>) for make one transaction you create a "bigger" transaction.
56.45 sat/B - 372 bytes - 2017-03-27 12:29:00
0 confirmation

but if you spend just 1 input for your transaction with the right kb/size you don't have this issue.
92.92 sat/B - 226 bytes - 2017-03-27 11:43:39
38 confirmation

Check here or for example the right size for a tx or google by yourself because it's full of sites Wink about this.
bitcoinfees.info
It still not solves tha most imporatnt issue. To process transaction fast we need to pay 200-220 satoshi per byte.
That will be ~45.000 satoshi fee = roughly $0.5 if your transaction is perfect 1 input TX!
For 2 inputs TX you will pay ~75.000 satoshi fee, so sending money via money transfer might actually be less expensive.
460  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-04-1] Fifty Developers Hack With Bitcoin for Two Days in San Francisco on: April 02, 2017, 12:35:17 AM
-snip- but we need more people that can code the killer App everyone are waiting for in the future.  Grin
We can have killer bitcoin app but when the network can't handle simplest things and it is spammed all the time no killer app will help us.
Nature of Bitcoin  is the source of our problems and that can't be changed easily.
Inability to regulate BTC is the reason we don't have ETF and adoption is stalled or even reversed Fiverr and Dell are not longer accepting BTC.
