anyway, what is so great about monero? monero might be anoymous than bitcoin but bitcoin with a litte mixing is already anoymous enought
there is no need for another coin
the blackmaket will never adopt monero, because bitcoin has value and monero does not

i think, now with blockstreams sidechains, altcoins and monero seems pretty useless

Plot of The Social Network: taking an idea that's been done (Friendster, Myspace) and borrowing a tweak of that idea (Harvard Connection) and building it into a scalable machine that will change the way the world works (Facebook).
And now they compare Facebook with monero... I'm not a royal "they," but if the plot fits.... With "they" i mean not only you but the whole Community, Einstein

ok seems like nobody has really a plan for the worst case scenario monero is really a unproffesional amateur coin

So what Is your Plan if Polo get hacked? Any idea? Poloniex already was hacked. They socialized the loss and then paid back losses over several months. It was in fact a lot thanks to XMR that they made enough money through fees to refund users as quickly as they did. It wasn't really a big deal, and I think it won't be even if it happens again. That's what cold storage is for. What if a significant number of coins get in pirate Hand? The Hacker could dump monero into oblivion

Hi Guys,i have a question, if our main exchanger Pole be attacked by an Hacker, many coins would in a evil hand, so do you Guys think that would be the end of monero?
Yes, i think that would mean the end of monero The Hacker would dump that shit in oblivion That Is also one of my reasons that i had sold all of my xmr

What if Polo get hacked soon? Than I think monero will be very dead What if Ridicule could kill? Than I think you will be very dead Than i think also the monero Community will be very dead At least i am not talking Shit like "monero will overtake bitcoin in 2016"

monero is still a very bad and risky investment what if polo get hacked? lots of xmr would be in danger hands and monero would be dead in no time We sure feel better knowing a troll like you cares so much about our money and investments believe me, you should be thankfull at me don't say i haven't you warned yet

That’s a great post. Here’s an idea: Let’s say you are a researcher and have to do a big simulation or you have hard computational problems, which could be split to smaller tasks and parallel distributed. Let’s say it’ll take years on your CPUs and/or GPUs to deal with it. If you want it distributed to a lot of people you have a great tool for this (google Boinc); however, there is a problem – someone is paying for the electricity/amortization so not many people would help you for free and with x1000 your computer power you’ll get the results needed in a day instead of years. Now comes the good part – you have a big budget and someone just created a service paid in Monero to distribute your tasks (for a fee) to Boinc users and those users are also paid in Monero. The guys behind the service should create an easy to install encapsulated (in a virtual machine) environment for those with the computing power - this way malicious researcher can’t get users data outside of the encapsulated environment. Those needing the power will compete for it, so smaller tasks with a bigger pay would be distributed first. Users could also chose on which projects they want to participate. I hope you get the idea. I’m not sure how many real world users such a service will have. For example I rarely deal with computations which take more than a day or two on a PC, but there are a lot of computations, which would take thousands of years or even hundreds of thousands of years if not massively distributed. This may not be very easy service to do, but you have almost all of it already tested and working (Boinc, Monero, processors with virtualization, etc.).

it is very obvious that monero is dying, but now it is better to let it go, and say good bye.
