BitFunder also has a public asset list, that is a live 24/7 list of what BTC address (provided by users at signup) hold how many shares. This way people always have proof
of how many shares they currently hold.

Can this list be backed up easily in case your site goes down for some reason? Perhaps just saving the website that shows owners on a local disk once a day or something?

This is the only thing I'm worried about really.. I know when GLSBE went down, it made a mess for all the securities on there, and hopefully this could be avoided.

Hi CoinHoarder,

A live list of all asset shares is always 100% up to date and live at https://bitfunder.com/assetlist

You can also correlate this with https://twitter.com/BitFunder

Other arrangements to send out (timeperiod) shareholder lists are about ready as well.

Thanks,
Ukyo

Interesting thing with BitPride:

Shares Total   50,000,000
Shares Issued   50,000,052

Seems somehow the number of shares in circulation is rising above the number that actually exist.  Is there some wierd bug where shares are getting created from nothing or duplicated during transfers or something?

If you look at their dividend history it shows number of shares slowly creeping up above 50 million.

Ahhh, that was the final thing I needed to track down a display bug.
There was an issue with number displays with multiple accounts using the same btc address.

Everything should be good now. Smiley

Ehm,

I am not sure if this is a troll posting or not to be honest.

We get quite a few people who want to sign up with one name, and deposit with another, and then want to change their identity (sometimes after submitting docs that they are the first person).
Often times people never respond back to tickets and after a week or two they get closed for nonresponse.

Can you pm me your ticket number and I will take a look and see what I can do on this. Smiley

Thanks,
Jon

We just performed an updated to the ripple daemon pushed by the ripple devs.
Can you try entering your TXN ID / hash in the field on the ripple deposit page on WeExchange?

Thank You,

Hey guys,

Sorry, I just became aware of this thread.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=130117.msg2111032#msg2111032

Everything should be good now.

And you guys are 100% right on lack of communications causing trust problems.

Over the next few weeks we will be hiring a full dedicated support staff to be able to help react to things and general inquires.
Also, we do have a new website getting ready to launch that is much easier to use and easier on the eyes along with a big feature that will add a lot of value to the site and any users who have an account.

Thank you for your patience and understanding,
Jon Montroll / Ukyo

Hello,

WeExchange had an unusual issue with Bitcoind being connected to peers and not accepting updates.
This basically left it isolated and was not getting new block data or passing withdraws into the network.

Was this an attack? No. It only connects to a set of peers that we specify. The peers were not at fault.
A system was setup to monitor for block desync and correct for it and notify someone.

Has WeExchange been hacked? No
Are all the funds in the hot/cold wallet safe? Yes

The same Bitcoin TXN id's that were given to users at time of withdraw (And is available by clicking the withdraw details button),
which never appeared in the network have now appeared.

I apologize for this interruption, and it will be monitored.

ATTENTION INVESTORS:

I already have a couple people that have said they wouldn't mind moving on to BitFunder, but I'd like to here from everyone else. Smiley

Thanks,

Ch

I am not eager to involve another party into this, I am not familiar with bitfunder and would rather not increase the risk, or would rather not have to trust another party... I am not too concerned about the fee, but would be interested in hearing what type of fees would be associated with this...
(this is all based on my lack of understanding of bitfunder)... do they become in control of any BTC during this process? or is it merely information regarding trades/shares/etc?

At the moment, my vote would be no thanks, but am curious to hear other thoughts.

Hi ibminer,

There are no fees to transfer BTC in or out of BitFunder, or to directly send shares between accounts.
Currently the only fees on the site are if you sell your shares on the market, and that rate is depending on how much trading you have done in the last 60 days.
The only other fee currently on the site is if you do options trading.

BitFunder uses WeExchange to secure it's BTC, and once used to it, most people have become where they like the added security benefit.
WeExchange does not require ID Verification if you only handle BTC.

BitFunder also has a public asset list, that is a live 24/7 list of what BTC address (provided by users at signup) hold how many shares. This way people always have proof
of how many shares they currently hold.

I hope this helps Smiley
448  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace + Rewritable Options Trading on: May 06, 2013, 04:13:48 AM
Hmm, honestly for now the rates need to stay where they are.

I do have plans to update the market page (which I consider ugly) customizable per account, as well as a nice interactive custom dashboard with all kinda goodies.

This just takes time, and while there are far far more things currently in BitFunder that is in the works/mostly working/early stages, I try to do as much testing on each thing before finally releasing it. Also, I have something very big in the works right now in the world of Bitcoin, and honestly a little devoted to that for the next few weeks, however I expect it will not only be big for Bitcoin, but will end up driving a lot of new interests to BitFunder as well, both users and newer assets.

Very exciting times. Smiley

The recent FAQ thing was not exactly fully features as I would like, since it has categories, and placement indexing built in, but not enabled at the moment.
I went ahead and enabled it as is because of the stale feeling I was getting from the site and there were lots of requests for such a feature.

I do have about 2 larger features mostly ready for BitFunder, but they need a few supporting pieces for them to be a 'Go', and since they interact with users funds, etc I want to make sure I have the time reserved to watch both the beta test and the launch like a hawk.

When it comes to BitFunder, these two larger projects are my main focus for code. And I do constantly work on them even if you cannot see them.

Also, for those who have not played with or seen it, you can enable websocket order book updating from the settings page.
This means that if you are endlessly staring at an assets order books of buy and sell orders, if someone adds, changes, cancels, (or completes a trade) an order, you will see the page change live. During the busy time's it is quite fun to watch people move the orders around for AM. Smiley

Hi, my apologies.

I haven't checked this thread in a while, I'm mainly just visiting our forums now that we have our own place.

I must say I like this Bitfunder idea, and I appreciate the personal invitation Ukyo.

I will bring this up to the group and see their opinion on it in the near future, it seems like Avalon won't be shipping until later this month, so there is still time to figure something like this out.

Thanks again,

Ch

Sounds good, let me know.
Also keep in mind that the suspense of when the Avalon's come in help to get the value moving too. Wink

Added new feature:

New per-asset FAQ system enabled.

Asset pages have an "Asset FAQ's" link in the asset menu bar at the top.

Issuers can now edit the asset profile and add/update FAQ's.

Hopefully this will help people to not have to constantly go looking for answers.
At least.. all the time. Wink

Have fun.
452  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASIC Batch 3 [CLOSED- Seven 4 module Avalons ordered] on: May 01, 2013, 04:51:57 PM
This is a possibility, right now I'm doing everything myself. I think everyone's fine with it, it's easy for them to keep track of how much they paid in and how many shares they should have. So far I haven't messed up the numbers yet when it comes to share transfers and how much each person owns. I am doing things in a very transparent way, and a simple Excel worksheet can do wonders.  Smiley

When it comes time for me to pay dividends if any problems arise I will definitely look to using an exchange. But, for now we have everything planned out using open source software for dividend payments (sharebitcoins https://github.com/csjones/sharebitcoins).

Cheers,

Ch

Hey CoinHoarder,

That works great. The added benefit of the exchange, is that investors can now choose to sell their shares at a higher price if they want, or even buy more.
They also have a publicly maintained listing proving their ownership should the need come.
It would also make it easier for you in the future to handle dividend payouts as all you have to do is either enter the total amount to be paid, or the amount per share and the system will handle all the number crunching for you.

In your case I would be happy to waive the listing fee, so there would be no cost to you or your shareholders.

Listing on an exchange has shown to near instantly increase share value. You can see that Candoo's avalon batch has nearly doubled in value.
https://bitfunder.com/asset/Cado.AvalonB3
I would hope this would be an easily recognized benefit equally for all shareholders in their best interests.

Feel free to pm me if you would like to discuss it more. Smiley

Thank You,
Ukyo / Jon Montroll

453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Weexchange "processing" my transaction for several days!? on: May 01, 2013, 03:52:21 AM
I sent 1 BTC from my Ripple wallet to Weexchange a few days ago and it won't process Cry

The transaction in Weex has been marked "processing" for days.

I opened a support ticket 2 days ago, and have yet to receive a response...  Hallo, Weex, are you there? Can you free me up me coin?

Hi nameface,

I apologize for the delay in handling this.
We have had a large backlog of ripple related tickets due to a bug in the ripple daemon.
We are working with the ripple team to try to get it corrected.
454  Economy / Securities / Re: [BAKEWELL] Action Proposal - Call for Volunteers on: April 19, 2013, 11:25:15 AM
Hello everyone,

First off I want to apologize for my tardiness to the discussion.
I have had some big things going on the last few weeks and was only watching specific threads
I was also just out of town for the last week where I had spotty access.

Either way, enough with the excuses.

I have restored the description and summary for the BAKEWELL asset and listing them here as well for future reference.

Summary:
Code:
6000 shares outstanding
3000 sold to public @ .15 per (raising 450 BTC)
1800 given to growth and maintenance (bakewellfund)
1200 given to Ian Bakewell - Founders Stake

Currently operating two gaming rigs (value $4000 CAD, paid 375 BTC) each being 2x7970 for a total of 2600mhash
- These will be sold when our Avalon ASIC arrive. The funds raised from the sale will be used to purchase Avalon expansion modules

Currently waiting on our two Avalon ASIC mining machines to arrive (value $3000 USD, paid 151.59914357 BTC) We are in the first handfull of orders in Batch #2

Description:
Code:
BAKEWELL is an asset that originated on the GLBSE & is seeking a new home at BitFunder
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=104489.msg1498848#msg1498848

As for Skype, this is what I recently found in my stack of unread messages:
Code:
[4/1/2013 3:02:38 PM] Ian: Please post a final list of shareholders in this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=104489.msg1706674#new and delist BAKEWELL from BitFunder. I will be dealing with the company through the forum from now on. Thank you.

At this point, the shareholder list will remain visible on the BitFunder asset list should someone want to copy and paste it.
There are no immediate plans to remove BAKEWELL the list, but might happen in the next few months.
I think it should stay public for a while so anyone else can get a copy for reference.

This is all I have to help with, wish it was more.

I guess the script already sent transactions out,
but not all are accepted (included in the blocks they create) by the solo miners and pools.

That seems about right. The amount is still increasing on that address as more blocks are mined..

It looks like most of those are 0conf unconfirmed payouts finally making it through the backlog.

Can i just say that weexchange is ridiculously empty. Its making it basically impossible for me to get some BTC from AUD! bleh....

The fiat market's are still very new. The more people who start to use them (like yourself) means others will begin to gravitate towards them as well.
Also I am working to bring in some liquidity providers for them. Smiley
459  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace + Rewritable Options Trading on: April 01, 2013, 08:48:38 AM
It's April 1st, both a fools day, as well the start of a new quarter.

For those of you who know, and now for those who do not, BitFunder's fee tiers are based on BTC sales volume per quarter.
This means that as of this morning, it has fully reset. No matter what you did yesterday, or the week before, it was all reset.

April fools. Smiley

Last month (March), BitFunder hit well over 1,000 users that are linked to WeExchange.
To celebrate this, I have changed the tier model from quarterly volume to moving 60 day volume.
This means that no matter what day it is, if you have any BTC sales volume in the prior 60 days it counts towards the tiers.
No full and hard resets on specific dates any longer.

While this was not meant to be an April fools joke, it was decided to be changed this period thanks to the support of all our users.
Also, at the current speed of new user signups, we may even double our user base by the end of April.

*Note: This change is not an April fools joke. Smiley

Once again, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped to make BitFunder grow to where it is today.
Look forward to more big features right around the corner that will continue to enhance the value of assets you hold on BitFunder. Smiley
460  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] btcQuick - Bitcoin Sales Service on: March 31, 2013, 05:35:50 AM
didnt see this answered, how come you need to raise so many btc, and already take 375btc profit yourself already?
also is my calculation right that with 50million shares the value of btcquick is around 5000btc, or 450k usd?

If you read the description, all the BTC raised is to:

a. pay off a loan that is in BTC before BTC skyrockets higher and the interest becomes a killer.
b. put the majority BTC into the companies inventory to be able to sell larger volumes of BTC to increase profit to the shareholders.
c. be paid some money for selling part of his ownership of the company.

If you make a company, should you not be allowed to sell shares of it?

No where here does a moving USD value really matter since nothing is being converted to it, or based on it.
Even if you consider his personal profit, it's all based on BTC, based on the businesses BTC profits.
If you do not agree that the shares are not worth X of a moving USD target, then you should base your decision to buy or sell shares on that.
When were your calculations based off of? When BTC had droped to 75btc Thursday night? at 90btc the day before?
at 93btc the price as I type this, or what you estimate btc/usd pricing could be at in 2weeks, or any future point in time?
Sorry if this sounded a bit brash, I just wanted to make my point clear of how I look at it. Smiley

Did you account easter weekend into your share release schedule lol. What happens if the 2nd batch doesn't sell out by tomorrow?

Anyone thinking about buying shares is reading through this thread, I'm sure you have answers for some of the more accusatory questions, could we hear them? Your silence is only damaging yourself and your shareholders

I don't think 24hrs of no reply during easter weekend is 'damaging'.
Wait, which questions are not being answered that are ''damaging' btcQuick's reputation?

Any plans to implement ACH or linking bank accounts to BTCQuick? It's the only reason why Coinbase has any customers. Credit/Debit card transactions and linking bank accounts would be amazing.
?

Or someone asking why the owner is choosing to use what might as well be considered personal income to directly pay off the companies debt?
You can say he is selling the first 300btc worth of shares of btcQuick to the public so that he can personally pay off the loan.
You could also say that he is selling off the first 300btc worth of shares to take investment funds into the company, so the company can pay the debt.
Either way it is a moot point of if the company or he himself is paying the companies loan.
The company was originally 100% owned by the issuer. btcQuick the company, owned no shares of itself and never claimed to.

Did I miss a question somewhere in the random discussions?  Huh
