Things are getting better.  Payment just received.

Thanks Slush

Slush just sent payment.
445  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: PCIe x1 capable of transmitting video or only mining? on: May 08, 2011, 11:57:21 PM
Pin number and side of the slot.  See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PCI_Express

Bridging these does not make sense to me.  It appears that they are all +12 V except for the Reserved B3.  Proceed with caution.

B1 - +12V
B2 - +12V
B3 - Reserved
A2 - +12V
A3 - +12V

Bridging A1 to B17 makes sense. This should pull the state of A1 to b17 (low) and indicate the card is present.  See page 1 of this thread for pic.

A1 - PRSNT1#
B17 - PRSNT2#

I'll pledge 5 BTC.
447  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (270Ghash/s) on: May 08, 2011, 06:45:48 PM
Cool,  I'll wait for the official announcement before switching back.

What was/is your hash rate?  You must have some power there or luckier than I.   Smiley

I'm only running a single 5870 (400Mh/s) but it has paid for itself already.  I'm thinking of investing in another but haven't decided.

Just wondering,  How long have you been mining and how many blocks have you found?

I've been mining for ~3 months now, started 2/11/11, and have found 7 blocks.

1 solo, 1 @ Slush, 4 @ Deepbit and 1 @ BTCmine (and claimed the 5BTC bonus)

I don't believe there is anything you can do on your side.  It appears to be a server side issue.

Yes,  I jumped ship about 9 Hrs ago.  Cry
452  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~450 Gh/s Mining Pool] INSTANT PAYOUT,+1% with LP! +0.8% for no failed blocks! on: May 08, 2011, 05:11:49 AM
We only know of the public pools. Maybe, there is a secret "dark" pool with an "evil" operator that already has 50+% of the network.   Wink

Hey, If there is, can someone get me an invite?    Cheesy

Can someone please explain more about this "Attack" against the bitcoin network and what a "evil" pool operator could actually do?

As I understand it... they may double spend coins they already have but that would only fool someone into accepting the trade for a short time and quickly become noticed by the receiving party.

They can't reverse any previous transactions already in a block or create coin. Right?

Probably should be a new thread and keep this one for real pool discussions related to this pool only.
454  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (270Ghash/s) on: May 08, 2011, 02:16:14 AM
Agreed ...  Pool hash rate is climbing.
455  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (270Ghash/s) on: May 07, 2011, 11:05:05 PM
Good point,  I'll put half my resources into BTCmine.
456  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (270Ghash/s) on: May 07, 2011, 10:44:58 PM
Everyone appears to be jumping ship to Deepbit.  I'm sure Slush will fix it soon and all will be well again but until then I'll jump too.

Any status or updates?

Are we going to use this thread just to increase our post counts until each of us reach 250? Maybe someone can start a weather topic.

Nice bright sun-shinny day here   Cheesy
459  Other / Meta / Re: [applaud]/[smite] system? on: May 06, 2011, 03:18:11 AM
Wow ... 250 ...  Looks like it will take me awhile to reach that at my rate of postings.  I guess I could go start trolling or posting my useless opinions to get my post count up but I won't.

I'll get there someday.    Smiley Post count +1  Smiley

Interesting,  Count me in (if verified) when it becomes available.  I've sold to CoinPal a few times and need this service.

Thanks.
