441  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your key reasons of choosing a particular exchange for trading? on: January 07, 2019, 05:25:49 PM
Hello,
1. What are your personal the must-haves for an exchange to be of any interest to you?

2. Is low volume and liquidity a big "no go" to you? Or do you approach such exchanges as potential interest for market making or arbitrage (small exchanges are responding to volatility slower and this may give some good arbitrage opportunities), etc.

ps: we are launching a new crypto-to-FIAT exchange (starting with /EUR pairs) and would love to get tips from the crypto community on their needs in order to built durable exchange.

Thanks in advance,
Art

A good exchange must have easy to use trading platform, a trusted name name and good chart for tech analysis will surely attract me trade with them.
Low liquidity is surely a no no for me, good liquidity gives opportunity to cut your position at competitive rate.

Best of luck for your new venture, I would suggest you to launch your exchange with advance chart view with extra indicators

442  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is technical analysis vital? on: January 07, 2019, 05:11:02 PM
Hi I was wondering what the general consensus was on the use of technical analysis in making long term investments. I know short term day traders get allot of use out of it but if I'm investing in a project based on fundamentals does the technical analysis matter?

For long term investment fundamental analysis is legit but as written by someone in previous post technical analysis tells you the right time to buy any coin, personally I prefer to trade based on technical analysis, more than 50% winning rate will take you into profit zone and if your technical analysis is proper its not difficult for anyone to get almost 70% winning rate.
443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Are Selling off Their Crypto on: January 07, 2019, 04:55:14 PM
Everyone knows that this is a bad time to sell. Yet there are people selling off out of dienchantment. What alternatives are there instead of selling your crypto on the low? https://cryptoinfowatch.com/sell-your-bitcoin-cash-lenders-coming-to-the-rescue-of-wearied-hodlers/

People who need money actually are selling cryptos at this time, those people may be bounty hunters, miners and even investors who bought crypto tokens are went into bad phase of their financial condition. I think this is the right time to hold as many as tokens one can, when market will start recovering every coin will start giving good profit.
444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: majority will lose money and minds on: January 07, 2019, 04:46:17 PM
The only reason why people buy bitcoin, is to make money. I believe in the tech, its the future blah blah blah. Your here to make "sick" gains, most will not have the stomach for it. How many investors bought 100 btc for $100 and sold them at $20,000 each, practically none.

Say bitcoin reaches $1 million and you invested now at $3800. You honestly think you wont sell when it hits $50,000 or any other figure that will improve your life significantly. Nobody knows if, when or how it will happen.

Don't waste your life waiting for a win, you will end up going crazy. Invest yeah sure, check it once a week / month on progress and just let it be man. For all we know, it could be outlawed and crash to $0 tomorrow.

There should be a proper planning with every investment, if somebody bought BTC at $100 then there should be partial profit booking at some point and let the other running with trailing SL, in this way investor would never lose once market goes into his favor. Greed and fear are two enemies in any financial market and one needs to learn to control both these factors.
445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is China giving importance to Blockchain? on: January 07, 2019, 04:35:49 PM
Chinese has been feeling very enthusiastic about blockchain lately!  The Chinese government may not like cryptocurrencies or in fact Bitcoin, but they sure do like the Technology it is based on.

Know more what China is doing with Blockchain https://www.globaltechinsights.com/blockchain-bitcoin-whats-happening-in-china/

I do not think China does not like bitcoin or altcoin, as China is a country with many blockchain patents in the past year. Did you know Vechain, NEO, Qtum, Ontology are all projects from China?
They also released their own cryptocurrency charts in September, showing they are very interested in this market. I think the issue of accepting Bitcoin will be just time, they can issue a separate legal framework before accepting Cryptocurrency.

There is another flip side of accepting bitcoin blindly, it may cause some damage to their economy thats why china govt has not accepted cryptocurrencies openly yet and not even China many other countries have done the same, this phase may be their testing phase for creating and accepting blockchain technology for future planning.

447  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It is not your fault that you are loosing in trading! on: January 06, 2019, 04:46:03 PM
Taking high risk at any stage of trading is not recommended, every trade should be taken with calculated risk, how much amount you can afford to lose in a single trade and how much max dd you can bear all time. Also trading needs lot of homework and proper planning like tracing levels, breakout etc.
100% profit in trading is practically not possible so accept the losses and move.
448  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading for the Inexperienced Traders on: January 06, 2019, 04:31:55 PM
When I started trading, I had no idea on charts and market sentiments but I decided to also benefit from the Pro traders as they move the market.

First of all, note that the market has mainly three sides, bull/green (short or long term), sideways, and bear/red (short or long term).

If you're an inexperienced trader like me, don't look at the sideways and red markets. Always wait for a green market (and it happens at least once every month). During that time, set a little target (say 10%-20%) you can even make more if you follow a good coin. Enter the market and take your profits.

Wait for the next round (probably a month a later)- you can keep your money in a stable coin, and by the end of a year you could make (10-20%)x 12 on your money.

Don't try trading everyday if you're not a PRO, they'll squeeze your money from your hands lol...and also never try catching tops and bottoms of you're not a PRO, they'll squeeze it once again. (remember you may be dealing with bots).

Merry Christmas (if you celebrate) and a Happy New Year to y'all.

Although you are not experienced as you say but your logics are like an experience trader. Every day is not a trading day that is true, we should wait for a good setup before taking any trade. One thing I want to add if any crypto exchange allows you short sell any coin you can even earn good money in short selling instead of waiting for a bull run, yes side trend is something which needs to be ignored.
449  Economy / Speculation / Re: The truth about the 20k bitcoin last year on: January 06, 2019, 03:56:58 PM
Lets face it- BTC is total worthless- its garbage and you cant use it for anything

Last years bullrun had nothing to do with BTC beeing innovativ or anything- the only reason BTC reached this price levels is because of bitconnect and Ethereum ICOs
for bitconnect and to take part in eth icos the easiest way was to buy bitcoin and than invest in bitconnect- buying bcc coins

same with ethereum ICOs- majority of people bought BTC than traded it for ETH and than investing in eth ICOs

so if btc wouldnt have been around it would have even been much better if someone was abe to invest directly in bitconnect or ethereum.

Mike Novogratz is a shill from the worst kind- same with this other BTC shill Tone Vays

Face it BTC fanboys- your coin is garbage and noone can use it for anything- the only reason it had any usage was in the beginning when people used it to buy drugs on the darknet but other than that- screw bitcoin

and even lightning cant save this crap

And on the next bullrun ethereum will outperform btc again- especially when people are than able to purchase eth directly with fiat.

now prove me wrong, lol

Pls talk everything with facts. If BTC has no value then why companies like Microsoft and Samsung are accepting BTC. You talked about ETH and BCC, pls note ETH hit 20 times low from its peak value of $1400 last year whereas BTC hit $3200 from its peak of $20K last year so drop in ETH is more than BTC. People still believe in BTC and it should recover soon.
450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: blockchain growth in Malaysia on: January 06, 2019, 03:16:40 PM
Its nice to know that Malaysia has accepted NEM blockchain in education sector inorder to prevent any fake degree/diploma, that is indeed a great step taken by Malaysian govt. No doubt blockchain is one of the latest emerging technology it is being accepted by my tech savvy countries like Japan and South Korea but its is not yet accepted by big asian counteries like India and China, I hope blockchain will be more popular in 2019.
451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best Profitable Places to mine Bitcoin right now on: January 01, 2019, 04:46:24 PM
Since the fall of the prices of Bitcoin (right now 1BTC = $3781,08) many Bitcoin miners around the world have stop mining.[1] because is not profitable anymore due to high electricity bills and low prices. So which are the countries that still are profitable right now for mining?

First, we have to consider 4 things:

*Internet availability

*Electricity costs

*Legal to mine Bitcoins

*Machinery & administrative expenses

Considering the previous requirements the best profitable countries to mine bitcoins right now are:

1. Venezuela: At first Bitcoin mining was illegal but since January of this year the president Maduro declare it legal[2], this country have the cheapest electricity in the world, it cost $531 to mine 1 BTC so is very profitable. Most of the internet companies are not so good but there are a few good companies that provide satellite internet that can solve any internet connection issues for an incredibly low cost. The only disadvantage is that you have to bring your machines from United States, Canada or China and do not need to worry for the economic crisis since you can easily pay high qualified workers  100$ per month or even go to 5 start hotels for 20$ per night

2.  Ukraine: This country Have the lowest electricity cost in Europe. Ukrainians pay  $5 cents for a kilowatt hour of energy. Bitcoin mining in Ukraine is perfectly legal and crypto-friendly and they are even building a statue in Satoshi Nakamoto’s honor replacing a Lenin statue [3]. Do not worry about the war with Russia is all over now. You can bring your machines from nearby countries like Germany and the speed of the internet is not the best but is ok for mining. The price for mining 1 b is $1852

3. U.S (Louisiana State): the State of Louisiana has the cheapest electricity (7.46 cents/kWh)[4]. and the cost for mining 1 Bitcoin is $3,224. The download speed of Louisiana State  is about 25 Mbps  (the United States is the country with more Bitcoin ATM machines and transactions...big plus)

4. Canada: Canada takes the 3rd place, the download speed of the internet is about 30 Mbps, it is legal to mine Bitcoins and is the 2nd country with more Bitcoin ATM machines and we are starting to see that Canadians are building their own machines [5]. The price for mining 1 Bitcoin is $3695 so still is profitable with the current price

Knowing all this I strongly recommend to mine in some of those places

So with this data, its only profitable to min Bitcoin in Ukraine only, mining in India is in few dollars profit but a little growth in expenses will make it at par. If BTC price goes to atleast $6k then it makes sense to mine BTC in many countries. Hope to see considerable rise in BTC price this year ie in 2019.
452  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: So I want to get into trading. on: January 01, 2019, 04:33:16 PM
At this point you should consider buying BTC for a low amount, if it goes down further then you can average it buying at low price. Bitcoin has already come down from around $20K to $3.3K, price is already very cheap, now its very difficult to predict whether it will go down further or will recover from here. My personal opinion is BTC should recover from here.
453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH and BTC bottom 2019 on: January 01, 2019, 04:12:08 PM
I think both ETH and BTC have already touched bottoms of this downtrend, now market may move upward slowly. I do not find any reason for both these cryptos to go further down if I consider both technical as well as sentimental analysis. We can see $6000 for BTC soon but pls remember this all is my personal opinion. Market may prove me wrong as there is nothing sure shot here. For ETH I am not able to find the next target but last low in 80s should be the bottom this time.

455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many times you heard the bitcoin gonna die? on: January 01, 2019, 03:53:36 PM
I'm in this market for almost 2 years.
I think that I heard about the death of Bitcoin a thousand times already. It's becoming ridiculous.
Is there any site that tracks all the time that 'Bitcoin good die' was in the news? I want to print it and put it on my wall.

I am also in crypto market for last 2 years but this is the first time when I am seeing so many posts about death of bitcoin, I do not get surprised with such post as I am already into financial markets for last 10-12 years ans such people exit everywhere. I am sure such community had also declared "Bitcoin died" in some previous downtrend. Legends are just holding it for a long period.

457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHY ARE PEOPLE STILL CONDEMNING BITCOINS on: January 01, 2019, 01:24:52 PM
People should understand that red and greens are part of market circle, it does have to do anything with popularity of BTC. Any financial market cannot be red or green forever, financial markets always go through uptrend, downtrend and sideways trend, there is nothing to discuss on it. If many big companies are accepting BTC it should definitely be considered as good sign of growth of BTC.
458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: crypto currency ban in india on: January 01, 2019, 12:44:57 PM
First of all, people are misunderstanding this ban. This ban was only for stopping any official transaction on bitcoin to Indian currency. RBI does not want that businesses or any other money exchange services face any kind of heavy loss because of bitcoin's price fluctuation. That clearly means bitcoin cannot be used by any businesses inside India no matter if you pay tax or not. but that does not apply to any individual user who is selling bitcoins or buying bitcoins. That's why localbitcoin site does not get affected.
I completely agree to this point, ban on cryptocurrency in India means no legal trasnaction can be carried with with BTC, I live in India and I use to buy and sell cryptocurrencies through P2P exchanges like localbitcoin and localethereum. I have even filled my ITR of this year showing income from BTC, if govt can take a tax from BTC income then how can it be considered as total ban.
459  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin/Altcoin 2019!!! on: January 01, 2019, 12:38:51 PM
Although the below predictions are my personal opinion but same are based on some technical and sentimental analysis.
I consider this level of Bitcoin as bottom and I have written it in many previous posts of mine even when BTC was trading at $5.5 K.
A last deep drop was expected like it which happened few days back, I think this drop was to create panic in investors so that big whales could get cheap price, there may be slow recovery but it should happen from this level.
460  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trade without id verification? on: December 30, 2018, 03:32:46 PM
Many crypto exchanges provide withdrawal limit up to 2 BTC and trading w/o KYC, Binance is one of the popular exchange which allows you to trade and withdraw funds up to 2 BTC w/o any verification, other exchanges are HitBTC, Chaoex, poloniex. Chaoex is newly lauched exchange but allows withdrawal upto 2 BTC w/o KYC.
