441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you look for in a ICO tracking website? on: February 26, 2018, 11:51:53 AM
There are so many of them. Do you have any specific requirements/needs or a function for a site to have so that you'll start using it regularly?

Why do you use the sites that you do?
My tip for you is to is to not believe in them because most of the time, they only list the general opinion of the public about a certain project. Also, they might just be advertising that certain ICO for their personal gains. It is much better to research yourself and get update with the ICO's you join yourself rather than depending on an ICO tracking website.
442  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin will increase or decrease in the coming time? on: February 26, 2018, 11:14:32 AM

Bitcoin is considered the first product of technology called blockchain. Dominik Weil, co-founder of Bitcoin Vietnam, says Bitcoin is a peer-to-peer network that translates values from one person to another.
Bitcoin is like other investment tools, a new form of asset, bought by people when they fall down and sold when they rise. Therefore, the valuation of copper coins and predictions of future currency is very difficult.

Just trust that Bitcoin will go up more in the next coming years. As the pioneer of cryptocurrencies, it will be the first most adopted coin if ever a better coin will come along. There will be more demand for it on the next coming years and there is no need to think short term if you will hold it long term. Just be sure to sell a percent or two of your stash from time to time to secure profits.
443  Economy / Speculation / Re: Waiting for a bitcoin rise. on: February 26, 2018, 10:12:58 AM
To this day bitcoin remains at a stable price and has not yet shown any upside movement, I am waiting for bitcoin prices to rise again.
Do you think the bitcoin price will reach $ 50,000?
I believe that Bitcoin will reach 50,000 $ at some point but don't expect it to reach that price soon. IMO Bitcoin will reach the speculated next year as the earliest point up to a year after the next halving. For now, I expect btc will continue to have a slow gain of price appreciation and adoption. Any faster pick up in price in the next coming months will result in dump.
444  Other / Meta / Re: Multiple common topics on: February 25, 2018, 01:12:19 PM
I agree with the OP, and I suggested that the threads be merged. The easiest way to deal with members who constantly post repeated comments is to add them to ignore. I can understand the point about it being a community, but if you are at a party, and somebody keeps repeating comments without adding to the discussion, you either smack him, or move to another group. Smiley
Yes sir,  that is a very good point 😊
You can also try to report it to moderator if a thread contains the same content to other previous threads. Just use the report to moderator button and they will delete it if they considered and judged it as spam.  It is unavoidable on beginners and help section though so if threads aren't being merged or deleted, then just follow Jet Cash's recommendation.
445  Economy / Speculation / Re: As BTC hovers around $10K, is it gathering momentum for another round of uptrend on: February 25, 2018, 12:01:47 PM
One would think all persons who wanted to sell already did? right?
Still on a crossroad though, I'm curious what next week will bring!
Personally I also think that the momentum is still good for btc, compared to 2014, however no ATH expected for first months.
But then again are we all disillusioned by previous 2017 year growth?
I guess most of us are delussional because of the previous performance of btc in 2017, and somehow it affects the way others set target price in a speculation. Nevertheless, I think bitcoin will not have a new all time high in the next coming months too, not just in the first  months. I expect to see new all time high as early as octoboer this year and as late as 1year after the next block halving.
446  Economy / Speculation / Re: Guess we're not out of this bear cycle yet, huh? on: February 25, 2018, 10:12:54 AM
So when in the world will we break out of this bear cycle? When do you think it will end? This is a good opportunity for those who do not already own, but I don't know about you but I want it to go beyond $20k already. I guess we'll let more people in now so we can go up to that next level of a bull run... Cryptoverse only knows.
The indicator that we are out in this bear cycle is that when selling has subsided and price have calmed down for quite a while(this is the indicator I always use). Don't just trust my indicator though since there are some instances where this have failed to determine the movement of bitcoin market but most of the time, when selling subsides, btc price tends to price after being stable for a while.
447  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin recovery on: February 25, 2018, 08:56:34 AM
Good afternoon! Friends, do you think bitcoin has recovered and will it go up in March?
I don't think it will go up in March. I think it will stay put in 7000-10000$ price ranges because bears and bulls will have the fight first and whoever wins it will dictate the direction of the market. As of now, we are seeing profit taking and of course those who want to buy bitcoin for sale in the current price. I don't think it has fully recovered though. I expect btc to go up by april or may if bulls win the fight.
448  Other / Meta / Re: Shitcoin bounties require spamming - legit or not? on: February 25, 2018, 04:42:18 AM
Bounty board has this pinned post:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2103690.0

"Incentivising posting within one or more threads is not allowed"

Also quoting from:

you can't give people any bonus for replying to your thread.

Yet some bounty threads have requirements like these:

Join the Facebook bounty campaign by liking our Hyde & Co. Facebook page, and commenting in our Announcement thread

2. Give us Feedback on our ANN thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2994011.0

So before I go on a report-to-moderator spree - is this kind of bounty spam allowed?
That kind of bounty spam is not allowed and you are free to report the post quoted above as you see fit. Even if those accounts used in posting the OP is a copper member(users who paid for special privileges for newbie), they should still abide with the rules of bitcointalk forum itself and take time to read the rules and pinned post. If you see other bounty campaigns doing the same thing, then feel free to report them anytime.
449  Other / Meta / Re: Ban on: February 24, 2018, 07:55:13 AM
My friends account was banned, I'm guessing it's permaban as it did not state how long till he can post again.
My friend did not receive any warnings at all or any temp ban.
So I'm wondering what are the grounds for permaban without warning?

Well it depends on what the ban is for, as well as how severe the actions are. You'll get a warning for spamming, but if you make 20 spam posts, you may not. Things that are more likely to get you a permanent ban are illegal activity (Bitcoin forum != Darknet forum) , posting malware, copy and paste spam, or breaking any rules with the obvious intent to avoid being caught. Warnings are given to those who mistakenly break the rules. If you are trying to cover your tracks, there is far less leniency.

No he's not doing illegal activity at all. I think the closest would be spamming? What do you consider a spam?
I know he only post 1-2 posts a day. It's not a copy paste, just a regular convo.
If it is only a regular conversation post then why would he be banned? You said it yourself that the closest would be spamming so it might be the reason why your friend's account is banned. There might be other reasons as well so why not reveal the username of.your friend here in this thread for other members(specially default trust members) to identify the real reason why he/she is banned.
450  Other / Meta / Re: Multiple accounts? on: February 23, 2018, 09:00:15 PM
Hm, sounds like a quite good reason. Good point.
But you agree that there is no need to have more than 5 accounts for sure? The persons who participate in the bounty campaign with multi accounts, they most likely have more than 5 accounts, and they are posting from all 5 thus increasing the spam level on the whole forum. I would say that technically possible to create limitations based on MAC/Hardware address, for instance, there are 2 accounts allowed per one device. The business people will be happy enough and bounty-cheaters will be down.
If that's the only thing that you want, then give the merit system time. Bounty cheaters will not get their accounts ranked up with merit system now and because of default trust members who are on the move to track merit abuse, they will get red tag those giving their alts merits or those who are into buying and selling of merits. Also, a default trust member can give them red trust if they are proven cheating a bounty campaign with multi accounts. I think it is enough countermeasure for that.
451  Other / Meta / Re: Original account hacked - help restore on: February 23, 2018, 01:06:01 PM
I did it, but I do not want to waste time. I sent them letters. I understand that the admins are busy, maybe there are more people on the forum who can help to return the account.
They are the only ones who can help recover your account and no other user can help you do it besides giving you only tips to recover it or guide you in the process. Regular users(like me) as well as default trust members have no administrative privileges to help you recover your hacked account. Like what someone said in the post above, just wait if you already pmed and mailed them.
452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves - is a Scam and fraud!support the petition! on: February 23, 2018, 11:52:50 AM
I'm not saying that they are only 1BCH handed out, I wrote that I had 1BCH, which I changed to buy BTC then I shifted to another market where I bought the WCT.
and in the last post there is 1BCH as a invented amount, I said that the organizers did not announce the amount of BCH for this action, and suggested that if the organizers of the action called it immediately for example 1BCH(or 10BCH) , then few would decide to take part in it.
but if the organizers did not specify just how they will distribute BCH and wrote commensurate with the WCT, so you should or equal to the number(this is of course impossible) and an equal amount of BCH were giving away, but they didn't, and was introduced initially, all the confusion, to sell the WCT!!!!! that's what fraud is! deception in the holding of this event!!!

if the organizers later I'll do other promotions, then there might be the same, not all the information! and other people can get hurt at the hands of these scammers!
In the end it is clear that waves havw not scammed you at all. Always rember that airdrops.doesnt bring much of a fortune and the waves airdrop IMO is normal. You just misunderstood the rules of the airdrop in the first place. I concluded it this way because of the post above with a link to waves support explaining about the bch airdrop. The loss on wct part on the other hand is only caused by it's loss of value.
453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's your thoughts on Havven? on: February 22, 2018, 09:25:51 PM
Hi guys! What's your thoughts on Havven?
It seems like a promising project. I just did kyc and planing to join public sale.
For now I am watching the project and I like how active it's community is. It seems to be a promising project but I am not sure if it will last or not. Nevertheless, I invested a little on it, I think I will profit from havven because somehow their team is active atm and it is one of the factors why some ICO's succeed. It is like I am gambling atm because team can stop being active later on.
454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This week's best paying Airdrops! on: February 22, 2018, 01:14:25 PM
Below I've compiled a list of 4 airdrops from trustworthy projects that are either already running an ICO, or are nearing one. All solid projects that can be expected to hit exchanges soon and make you some free money!

Hurify - Decentralized platform disrupting IOT marketplace
50 tokens for joining their telegram ($7.50)
Grab your free Hurify tokens here!

CryptoBnB - Vacation rentals platform
Up to 25 stakes for a share in 5 million tokens
Grab your free CryptoBnB tokens here!

Suchapp - All-in-one complete communication and business app
40 tokens for joining their Telegram
Grab your free Suchapp tokens here!

Crowdvilla - Shared holiday homes

Get updated on the newest & best Airdrops as soon as they come out in this telegram channel: https://t.me/AllAirdropAlerts

You are right but there are many more tokens/altcoins for sale which can be said as on par with those listed above. There are lots of airdrops nowadays and it won't hurt getting all possible coins to have value in airdrop. I would also not include those who only gives stakes atm because it might fail and one will only end up wasting time again.
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: peculium on: February 22, 2018, 12:36:19 PM
Peculium now on hitbtc. It seems to me a very ambitious project. What do you think of this project?
I think it made hust one little step to achieve their goal since hitbtc is not good enough. I don't see them succeeding specially that they are proposing to have a savings management platform on blockchain which I think isn't needed many people. Still, I think they did a good job proposing that kind of platform and is a decentralized one at that. I think if project were to succeed, it would be the greatest contributing factor for it.
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Rate my ALT portfolio on: February 22, 2018, 11:52:04 AM
Hi
Im into crypto for few months and double my investemnt.

However things started to look bearish in last month so i change my portfolio coins.

Please let mw know if i made a good decision and can be looking at some gains in a month or two.

30% LISK
30% WAVES
15% VERGE
12% SIACOIN
12% AMP _SYNERO

What you think ? Are they gonna bullrun anytime soon?

Thanks for reply

Cheers
If I were to rate it in the scale of 1-10, I would give it a rating of 8 since the coins listed above is good and is safe to invest into
It is also less risky than other alts and chances for profit on the coins listed are still high. Id I were to recommend though, sell AMP_SYNERO. Consider buying any other notable altcoins with more potential than it.
457  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2018! Bitcoin pump or dump? on: February 21, 2018, 02:09:23 PM
As last year at this time bitcoin was about 1k and it had a magnificent rise to nearly 19k in the last month of last year that's around 1000% increase within a year. It was a breathtaking year for bitcoin and the investors too. It was doing just fine in the few starting days of this years first month but went back to around 10k. Would bitcoin repeat its last years pathway and show a significant increase in its price or take the opposite direction!
What do you think and why so?
I think Bitcoin would not perform well this year considering the graphs it has had in the past. I believe we won't see any fast price upward movements going to new all time high this year. If history were to repeat itself, I will say that 2018 is the year of bitcoin's dump. If that happens, we would need to wait for a year after the halving in order to see new all time highs again.
458  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could this year's Bitcoin exceed its maximum of US$ 20,000? on: February 21, 2018, 12:55:52 PM
There are many investors who ask us daily if it is psoible that the Bitcoin flies to its maximum of US$ 20,000, or even a little more.

Looking at the graph below gives the expectation that a new bullish cycle will start.

https://criptotendencia.com/cotizacion-bitcoin-online/

What do you think?
It is hard to say that this year, btc will exceed the current all time high but it is very likely that price is going to go up continuously or rapiy as soon as the current state of Bitcoin(stable) starts to go up a hundred dollar. It is also possible that Bitcoin won't exceed the current ath and history might repeat itself. For now, All I can say is that Bitcoin is on the verge of letting history repeat itself or changing it.
459  Economy / Speculation / Re: Someone Just Bought $400 Million Worth of Bitcoin on: February 21, 2018, 12:14:24 PM
Just for fun, who do you think bought $400 Million worth of bitcoin and why?

Source: Fortune Website
Considering the amount of money invested, the one who invested into Bitcoin is probably Bill Gates because of the following reasons:
1. Bill Gates has not formally announced his investment into Bitcoin but he expressed a positive opinion about it in the past. See reference below for more information.
2. Bill Gates have a total net worth of 86 billion dollars in 2017 doubling that of bitcoin's total marketcap of 41 billion dollars by the time the reference below was written.
3. Considering the fact from reason number two, it is an amount he will not regret to lose and he is the only one who can afford to risk that amount without worrying for his future financial conditions.
4. He has a lot of connections that can help him buy bitcoins worrth 400 million $ easily.
Considering the reasons above it is very likely that it is Bill Gates who bought 400 million $ worth of bitcoin for investment. I think he intends to hold it long term. I might be wrong because there is a chance that he have bought bitcoin way back it's early stages.

460  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Poll] A Dead Cat? on: February 21, 2018, 11:31:13 AM
What do you think?  Are we headed lower and are only seeing a temporary “Dead Cat Bounce” or are we headed higher?
It is hard to predict bitcoin price but I think we will see new lows soon considering the fact that there are a lot of altcoins offered in the market and there is the slow transaction issue and expensive fee issue on bitcoin's blockchain. At the current time, there are many more altcoins that ate better to use for a faster and cheaper transactions which is a great factor for the decrease in btc demand.
