4401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The One Biggest Lesson Lesson you've learnt from Bitcoins Investment on: May 10, 2020, 11:11:37 PM
my big lesson is probably something that has happened to many people:

when I started to trade I had some habits that don't let me think correctly, I bought bitcoin for $8000 for example and when the price dropped to $7800 I still believed that the price would go up again. When I woke up the next day the price had already dropped to $7200 and I still believed that the price would recover, it would pass a few days and the price would drop to $6800, I was irritated by it ... until I sold it and the next day the price started to rise to the point of exceeding $8000. it happened to me more than 10 times until i started using Stop - Limit and that's how the cycle of losses ended, but i must say it was a great lesson i learned and it took a long time to learn

This your comment makes my day and it excites me a lot.
So, you mean there is a way to stop loss or minimise loss.

Can you help those of us that are just starting out with materials to learn about the stop-limit strategy.

I certainly believe that it'll be superb to learn how to manage risk from day one.
I also experienced this costly mistake of selling my Bitcoin after a bearish run of the price due to fear I believed this is due to emotions and psychology in trading.
I had learnt some lessons in the aftermath of that loss having recount my losses I also agreed to be having a projected stop- limit once the price reach that level I will sell else I will continue to hodl my coin.
4402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safe to join campaign does not mean rewarding campaign on: May 08, 2020, 11:17:08 AM
julerz12 and bubbalex, they always make sure that bounty hunters get paid no matter what, this is what I called good bounty managers
I disagree with this because of the two managers that you mentioned ever, not pay bounty participant even they also once managed scam project
Can you provide your proof that these two managers did not pay their bounty participants?

Especially julerz, he is a good bounty manager that always secure the rewards of bounty participants of the campaigns he handles. He even had this option of holding the funds so he can do personally the distribution of rewards after the bounty ends.
Julerz handles bounty campaigns very well and he is trusted and credible however  I once participated in his bounty campaign (an exchange) we are all paid our respective token but later the campaign turned scam ie they never launched that token obviously the exchange was purely a scam however I wouldn't blame julerz he did a wonderful job.
4403  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is better than Holding on: May 03, 2020, 10:45:31 PM
The advantages of trading can generate profits in a relatively short time. While holding usually requires a long time to be able to make
a profit, but holding is safer than trading. So it depends on each person looking for profit quickly or looking safe. For me it's better to
trade than holding, because I'm not a person who likes to wait. Therefore I do trading daily, which is the profit that can be obtained
daily too.
I feel safe while hodling my coin while its proofing difficult for me to trade just as the OP commented, my desire also is to trade on a short term basis while earning some profits however high volatile in the prices of crypto is making it difficult to my trading strategy, I had now channelled my efforts to learning forex trading which I feel is more or less risky to crypto trading.
4404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MY BLOCKCHAIN WALLET WAS STOLEN 0.39070099 BTC !!! on: May 01, 2020, 07:36:13 PM
The OP might have mistakenly reveal some vital information regarding his wallet unknowingly at the mercy of hackers,
Hackers had been more sophisticated in recent times online wallet are always prone to hackers, the OP ought to have store such a huge amount of Bitcoin in a hardware.
4405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep your loss at an acceptable level on: April 28, 2020, 05:26:08 PM
I have not seen a trader that do not lose sometimes, i may be new to the forum but been learning before now. it has nothing to do with sentiments but traders have to learn to accept trades the way it is, without attributing loss to any factors; as it leads to more rekts.

Always accept the market as it is without blaming any factors.
Always dyor too
Before entering a trade I always have fixed percentage loss ie 3% of my portfolio is my risk in any event of a loss I am sure of losing small portion of my account while I ensured my reward is double my risk.
A loss in trading is normal however a sound money management and working strategy is the key to a successful trading.
4406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: For newbies only on: April 26, 2020, 06:46:53 PM
Researching may require an excessive amount of time and exertion however it is unquestionably valuable since it will give you a superior comprehension with respect to various crypto wallets. Despite the fact that occasionally newbies fail to acknowledge how researching can control them on choosing which wallet can make their assets safe and made sure about from con artists and hackers. They have to understand that it is our obligation to secure our assets that is the reason finding a dependable wallet is an absolute necessity to guarantee that hackers won't discover a chance to abuse our assets and resources

Researching should also be backed up by personal use. I agree we should go for most secure all the time,,, but if you are just trying out for the first time, and you may not have much, you might want to experiment with a few wallets, and also to try out using them. Maybe you do not need multi-assets. Maybe you do not need multi-sig, etc.
The popular wallets like blockchain info are secured and can also be downloaded from playstore and user friendly especially newbies, but these has to be well researched by newbies while it could be dangerous to experiment with wallets whose security and credibility is questionable to avoid losing some hard earned coin
4407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want to know whether it is right to join bounties? on: April 21, 2020, 11:08:39 AM
Hello friends, I want to know whether it is right to join bounties?
I have seen many threads where people say that your account should be kept clean.
Does the bounty task (Reporting) spoil posting history?
Actually, I want to rank up my account and do some earning, Is it possible both can be done?

Please help me with this what should I do?
The task of the bounty report can be deleted if the bounty you are promoting has ended and the number of your work bets has also been calculated, it will make your account look clean and continue to improve good posts so you can quickly move up the rankings, even though it is certainly a little difficult to do, which however doesn't mean it can't.
I believed Facebook and Twitter reporting while participating in a bounty campaign tends to makes it difficult to earn merit according to the OP of course he wanted to earn both merit and money your opinion is good ie he should delete some the reports when stakes had been counted.

4409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing now? on: April 18, 2020, 07:05:23 PM
The fact that bounty has been difficult for a long time, I have learned to trade for a while, and it is not as easy as I thought, I have also lost, but I will not give up.
I believe we all have lost money trying to invest in this market, but if you do not give up, I believe you will quickly get profit in the next times. I am not too dependent on bounty, I have my own business and trading. That is my source of income
It is good to have additional sources of income, because we can continue to be confident in the cryptocurrency market. Spare money should always be!
For now I am channelling my efforts in learning forex trading, now that bounties and signature campaigns had not been forth coming  I believed trading forex while making some profits will be an alternative source or additional source of income.
4410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is like day trading ? on: April 17, 2020, 11:38:58 PM
We know that day trading or short time trading is like playing with wild fire, not may can handle it. That's y most player's end up in loss and very few are successful day traders.
Is that hold true for gambling also?
There are posts here that gambling is addiction and how to get rid of.
Are there gamblers here who are in profit overall?
I agreed with you having been in involved in both day trading and gambling, the unpredictable movement of price as per short term trading makes it to be highly risky to earn any tangible profits while gambling is more like a 50:50 chance in long run a gambler might loss whatever profits earned earlier, my best bet is long term trading where the price is stable and predictable.

Review: betnomi sign up was very easy  and user interface was very friendly while gaming response was swift an indicator usually warn users of "slow connection" which is another plus to the user.
4412  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What indicators to use? on: April 09, 2020, 12:34:22 PM
Thinking to learn to understand the chart and I would like to know what indicators to use.
at the moment I have MACD / Relative Strength Index / Momentum
what other indicators are important to use?

I use Moving Average indicators to determine  trend direction and value chart to indicate oversold and overbought area of  price those are two major indicators that aid my trades I mostly took  my trading decisions based on price actions I watch out for exhaustion candles at a major support or resistance while those indicators are majorly used a quide as in I don't really depend on them too much.

4413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin during pandemics on: April 08, 2020, 04:02:32 PM
I want to really commend Op for the thread. It reminds me of Ebola too in 2014, it was a battle too and I believe the way it was fought to standstill, corona virus too will go down
Ebola in 2014 was limited to some countries in Africa eg Congo, Tanzania, Sierra Leone and few cases in Nigeria of course I don't agree that the pandemic has any correlation with the price of Bitcoin then, however the present covid-19 pandemic is a global issue now definitely it will influence the price of Bitcoin due to lockdowns imposed on the populace in many countries.
4414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The sincere bounty managers should escrow bounty rewards on: April 07, 2020, 09:10:14 AM
But do not forget that escrow campaigns does not determine the outcome of the project you promote, you will surely get your tokens but they can still be worthless
Yes, that's right, escrow in a project campaign only guarantees participants in terms of payment, not in the price of tokens, because the issue of the price of tokens depends on the interest of tokens in the market.
I once participated in an escrowed project which later turned scam despite the fact that all the hunters were paid  with the tokens however the exchange that is expected to get the token listed later turned hoax, personally escrowing a bounty is not a yardstick for a successful campaign although it is prerequisite for scrutinizing bounties.
4415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The first BTC ATM in Nigeria on: April 06, 2020, 10:16:01 PM

A Bitcoin startup in Nigeria, Blockstale BTM, has installed the very first Bitcoin Automated Teller Machine in Nigeria.
According to the startup, the ATM was installed at Dazey Lounge and Bar in Lagos and the company is planning to install at least 30 BTC ATMs across the nation.
Source of information: https://investorsking.com/blockstale-btm-installs-bitcoin-atm-in-nigeria/

I just hope the governmemt of Nigeria will just allow the automated teller machine should function normal cause I've read times without number that the government frown sternly at cryptocurrency reason being that there is a high corruption rate among the citizens of Nigeria,  so legalising an anonymous, decentralized currency is like adding fuel to fire as it will become more difficult to fight the corruption rate. I hope the cryptocurrency enthusiasts over there will be able to device various means that will prevent the corrupt minds over there from using the anonymity of cryptocurrency as there next tool in looting money. This is indeed another good news towards mass adoption of this dear sector
I quite agreed with you that the Central Bank of Nigeria will kicked against Nigerians who might have a motive of investing in crypto currency  knowing the decentralized feature of it invariably if adopted by many Nigerians consequently centralized banking sector will suffer for it due to lower patronage thus resulting in drop of revenue and income to that sector, while the corrupt ones might have a tough time in laundering funds vis the BTC ATM due to strict regulations by the operator of the machine.
4416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are You Happy For Participate bounty in this Year 2020 on: March 29, 2020, 08:57:49 PM
So far participating in bounty campaigns had not been very reward full the era of earning reasonable rewards had passed ie in 2017 to 2018 when cryptos market was very bullish and trending however after the price nosedived into bearish sentiment a lot of ICOs couldn't survive due to not reaching Soft and hard cap invariably most of their tokens was dead on arrival when listed in an exchange while hunters earned peanuts despite spending most of their time in promoting those projects.
4417  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you trade bitcoin options? on: March 27, 2020, 03:02:46 PM
Bitcoin option is not trading. It is gambling. I gambled for years and I lost huge amount of money. Later I focus on trading. I prefer short term or day trading before but the gain was lesser than long term trades that have traded. Later, it just occurred to me that what about me trying binanry optiion, then I went for bitcoin option. I lost bitcoin easily in minutes and hours. So, I decided to leave doing it. I then consider it to be gambling. I have not even failed in day trading the way bitcoin option failed me.
I quite agree with you on this having been an option trader for time I also lost some bucks while trading that shit which is time based and the odd favours the brokers.
Volatility of the price of Bitcoin will culminates to losing most trades particularly using a short term frame thus overall options is more like gambling a trader wouldn't make profits in a long term rather incur losses.
4418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I realise Coronavirus is not a reason why on: March 26, 2020, 06:25:43 AM
There are other factors that play whenyou are considering the plummet of bitcoin but I think that some factors are rooted with the pandemic, we can't blame the people who are selling their holdings at this time. Maybe they are in dire need for necessities which we all should understand.
In this period a lot of  people used their crypto in exchange to Fiat to buy and stockpile foods and other essential stuffs while on lockdown the sudden decline in the price of Bitcoin indicated a lot of sellers of crypto assets I agreed with you on while all the necessities that can cushion any effect of the lockdown on the daily lives of hodlers is a welcome development.
