Hi guys. Since i was escrow in this GB im staying in contact with anykeywhy. Things didnt go the way that was planned so i check occassionally the status on things when i get asked.
So what i can say is that i paid the bill directly to knc so that he never did held the user funds himself. Akw created the order in his knc account and the member coins, that i hold until then, went directly to knc. So its correct that akw has the contract with knc. Thats why he is the only person able to sue knc and according to him he did so. He is not obliged to sue since it looks like no one helped him with all the additional costs so far. So he not only lost quite a lot with this GB surroundings but with these following costs too. There is no proof for the ongoing lawsuit that can be provided because its the same situation for everone sueing knc. NDA's were signed so the only thing is to wait how this lawsuit ends. Though members might monitor the news media about the lawsuit.
I asked him about all the additional costs and he says:
"I paid and I'm paying all the legal actions costs by myself only and totally from my pockets... No refunds of any type were never given to anybody, that's why we're all against KfC, just to repeat it again and again!
What I'd like to mean is simply that I haven't received (nor processed) any money from anybody and all and every action and "operation" until now has been at my own only complete loss... beyond consequent damages... and so on..."
Thats the status as far as i know it.

Not sure what BTC100 is at these days but I agree it is US centric. I would even suggest to focus on markets where Bitcoin is unheard of and not on the US or Germany. In the US and Germany it kind of has outlived its purpose.
I think the marketing effect is equal in all areas because in countries where bitcoin is relatively unknown you would have no use for bitcoins anyway. Its slightly more in developed countries but still... its really not on a level where you could say that marketing can stop. At the end this project aims to be an advertising project. Though at the end all that is needed are persons that persuade organizations to accept bitcoins. So its all up to the readers of this thread i guess.

Is bitshares really decentralized and a more safe way to store fiat than exchanges are nowadays? Or are there other, better, decentralized alternatives?

Did you try it? I'm wondering the same thing myself.
No. Im still reading the previews done on cryptocoinnews since they claim they are the same. Im not sure if its worth to pay 100 $ each month to get these 3 hours earlier.

Topic is old, i know. But the support behaviour did not get better in the meanwhile. Sending emails or pm's are useless. Which is pretty poor since i like the exchange. After i understood it of course.
I hope i will never have any problems since i wouldnt know what to do besides posting here. One should think that the owner makes enough money to be able to hire a support person.

Can you explain how to handle it? Im using FF 35.0.1 and TB. Normally i would get emails notifying me about new posts. How to use the feed to get informed? (I never used feeds yet.) Presuming TB means ThunderBird: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-subscribe-news-feeds-and-blogsAll the bits about copying a link address don't apply - the only feed advertised is for the main forum index. Just take the forum section of interest, e.g. this one, Meta, and copy its URL: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0Then append ;type=rss;action=.xml;sa=news&limit=10 at the end, to get: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0;type=rss;action=.xml;sa=news&limit=10Use that link in the Feed Subscriptions dialog. sa=news means (in this context) only list new threads, and limit=10 means at most 10 threads will be returned by the server. If it's a high volume forum section, consider increasing that. One of the nice things is that you can make sub-folders in ThunderBird and put separate subscriptions in separate folders. That way if you're using e.g. Unread/Compact folder views, you get a nice categorization of the new threads, without having to set up a filter based on content. Additionally, with RSS in ThunderBird, you can choose to either get a summary (first paragraph or so of the post), or just view the link in ThunderBird's internal browser directly. Note that if you're using an ad blocker in FireFox, you'll want to check if it - or a similar ad blocker - is available for ThunderBird. There are also quite a few RSS addons for FireFox itself, but I can't say I've ever used those. Thank you for the explaination!

An unfortunately expensive lesson i learned is that even if you can get 50% per year for an investment, its still better to have your coins in hand. Because if the investment goes wrong you have lost the coin. So holding instead investing is often the better investment decision.
Next thing is... never never never do investment decisions based on emotions. Its the same for trading. Its pretty much always the wrong thing. Only be rational and dont let you push because of time moving.
I think thats those are the most important things i learned expensively.
Banks also do "investment" in form of loans to people. The reason that loans have a high payback 30-45% and more is because the bank knows from statistics that x% of the loans will not be paid back and they will lose it. They do a risk assessment and calculate how much % they should charge for loans so that they come out positive even if some loans remain unpaid. Of course banks have much more experience, knowledge and data to make decision than a single individual (unless he/she works exactly with this). As I said above, I have invested coins and lost them on the given site. However I have invested elsewhere too and made a profit there. In general I like to think that I made a profit. So I think that if you know how to invest (e.g. not everything in one place) then investing could very well be a valid option. It is of course. But even when youre very sure, Bitcoin World is a very dangerous pool. If you check the amount of securities that go wrong then its astonishing. If they dont run scammy, they get hacked or the issuer is simply inept. If you invest in a number of things in the bitcoin area then the chance of losing everything is very high. Thats why i say that not investing is often the better investment since many many sure looking investments were driven to the wall too.

The reddit is bter specific and the article seems to be a blog. Might be that he brought it first but what i want to know even more if the blog is a source for such infos that is worth observing because they bring such news FIRST. To be exact, i would like to have one or more website that i can observe in order to get such news as one of the first. Not only this one but all kind of news that might crash the bitcoin price.
|
|
|
Since the old thread was deleted where i asked that question. Can you give me the source that has such infos first? I mean online newspapers or newsgroups or something like that. It would be worth observing them.

But it doesnt work fully perfect for subforums i marked to get notifications for new threads If possible, try the feeds. They've been behaving pretty well for me so far. except for the Russian sub-forum, as somebody posted a thread there with the title ending in "&#" - which broke the feed's validityCan you explain how to handle it? Im using FF 35.0.1 and TB. Normally i would get emails notifying me about new posts. How to use the feed to get informed? (I never used feeds yet.)

So whats the problem now? For me its that i get nearly all emails. Especially for notifications for threads i enabled notification for work correct all the time. But it doesnt work fully perfect for subforums i marked to get notifications for new threads. I get some, maybe most, but not all. And thats a bit strange.

Does 796 provide no support at all? I sent questions but no answer.
Are there trading rules one should avoid to not get banned? Some exchanges disallow opening and closing positions in a short timeframe. I only want to avoid problems.

Not that it's going to help anyone much, but I had a BTC deposit working just fine about 5 hours ago.
It works again but it was gone around a hour.

I was wondering if anyone is using xbt.social. Is it worth it? I only found google links that are either advertising or other things. Nothing about a review or something like that. I have read the analysis at cryptocoinsnews but im not sure if xbt.social is giving out the same infos, only 3 hours earlier.
Anyone?

Hi Thanks for answering. I like the trailing stop idea. We are talking about Margin Trading, right? So just to get that clear: I do a Margin Buy of 4btc at $230. The price goes up to $240. I need to go away from the computer so what I have to do is, Margin Sell Trailing Stop 4btc at $5. So if the price goes down to $235 it will sell. But if it keeps going up to $265 it will keep the $5 distance all the way up and sell $5 lower when it's starts dropping. Is that correct? Will try with low amounts first ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Thank you correct ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)
