It seems that hotmail.com is silently dropping forum emails for some reason, even though they say via SMTP that they're accepting the emails. You should complain to them.

I'm using a hotmail and I still get them fine.

I am getting notifications of replies to my threads though. I received an email 2 days ago though. The forum has been down for few hours in the past week but it's working fine with regards to the notifications.

I marked a couple of subforums so that i get an email for new posts. Unfortunately this only works occassionally. I only get emails for some new posts.

Does anyone experience the same problem? Is there a solution? Its not cool if you want to get informed of new developments but you only find out after everything is over.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

Yep, same problem here.

At this point I'm thinking I'll just get rid of my section subscriptions, and instead use the RSS, e.g.:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0;type=rss;action=.xml;sa=news&limit=10

There's an SMF discussion thread with all the various flags here: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=25009

If for some reason that's not working out either, I'll just try writing my own lazy parser using the wap2 output as a basis, e.g. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0;wap2

Are you using hotmail? There's a few of us that seemingly stopped getting them on the 28th for some reason.

outlook.de does not work with bitcointalk. Doesn't show the emails at all. Not even in spam.

Contact hotmail and ask them why they've stopped accepting the mails.

Yep, same problem here.
Just to note, the above reply was with regard to forum section subscriptions, rather than private messages.  Topics - one about subscriptions and one about private messages - got merged.
As for hotmail - I'm not using it, so that's not the issue in my case.

So whats the problem now? For me its that i get nearly all emails. Especially for notifications for threads i enabled notification for work correct all the time. But it doesnt work fully perfect for subforums i marked to get notifications for new threads. I get some, maybe most, but not all. And thats a bit strange.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

If possible, try the feeds.  They've been behaving pretty well for me so far.
except for the Russian sub-forum, as somebody posted a thread there with the title ending in "&#" - which broke the feed's validity

Can you explain how to handle it? Im using FF 35.0.1 and TB. Normally i would get emails notifying me about new posts. How to use the feed to get informed? (I never used feeds yet.)
