4421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What determines transaction size? on: February 28, 2017, 05:40:42 AM
It depends upon the transaction fee input to the transaction to the number of output it makes on the particular transactions.
4422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adoption in Africa: Bitcoin solving problems in the country on: February 28, 2017, 05:27:29 AM
Bitcoin has high value against ZAR ( African currency ) so if African people able to mine or earn bitcoin, it become great advantage because it will help African's economy. Let say if they build online shop or other public service that accept bitcoin , I'm sure that the transaction will be active since the demand will increase overtime
Yeah ZAR has got high value against bitcoin but it doesn't make the economy grow in a short. Online shops don't make big acceptance right now, because only when a large user group makes entry to bitcoin its beneficial.
4423  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE CASINO - CONGRATULATIONS TO WONTON FOR WINNING 300BTC on: February 27, 2017, 05:24:59 AM
Does Bitdice Casino use the Cloudflare service?  In case you guys don't know, Cloudflare was hacked and that it's very possible that your passwords and all other info could be stolen.  I got a Polo warning and I was forced to change my passwords on all my accounts across all the exchanges and gambling sites I use.

And it's also good to always get 2FA enabled.  It think Bitcoiners are more prone to hacking than others.
Enabling 2FA is the only solution to restrict any other unrestricted usage of your account and with time everything will come under attack and cloudflare bug is a major security breach as most of the sites are using their service and so the amount of data leaked is still unknown. It is better to take the safe route rather than crying later.
This is true, changing passwords and setting 2fa doesnt consume too much time and we should really obliged ourselves to do such thing to avoid unnecessary hacking indent on your account and we do all know that all account have been compromised regarding on this cloud bleed.
Yeah changing passwords periodically and also enabling 2FA is good to have more security to our account. Even if it consumes time too we need to give consideration. Because the effort made and the amount we won is much important. If hacked our entire effort goes wasted as well we won't be lucky all the time. It'll be really hard to earn from the beginning rolling and rolling.
4424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your new year start in gambling! on: February 27, 2017, 05:03:42 AM
Hey guys!

Don't want to brag or anything but I had a freaking good 2017 beginning!! I hope it's the same for you  Wink

Transformed my 0.04btc from my sig campaign into 0.25 while btc was hitting the 1000$  Grin Grin Grin

That can seem as small amounts but it's not for me and I think it's like the first time I multiply my initial gambling amount by 5  EDIT: by 6 in fact  Cheesy !

Did anyone hit a jackpot on this begining of 2017?

That's great in your part sir, the luck has been poured out to you by entering 2017. I guess majority of the gamblers in gambling world will become like you too. But in reality happen not all can experience like yours, that's the sad things to know. So most of the gambler they really play for happiness. Cheesy
That's good start with winning. Mine started with a loss of around 0.3btc, things went worse because even after losing I tried to regain it by placing beta on the consecutive events. On account of it the start was not good. Expect good luck by the coming weeks.
4425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have Banks conspired to Kill Bitcoin Startups? on: February 27, 2017, 04:47:23 AM
Banks won't initiate regulatory acts to kill bitcoin start-ups. Recently largest private bank of Indonesia invested into fintech start-ups for a better supporting of digital move. As a part the startups support in the technology development for the bank and makes it reach all category of people and the banks takes care of the financial services.
4426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 10 main mistakes of Bitcoin newbies on: February 27, 2017, 04:34:13 AM
Quote
It seems that today only two categories can mine: large server farms in China and makers that mine with a loss just for fun but not for profit.

A popular myth, yet incorrect. The truth is that if you access to cheap electricity, you can mine profitably with a single ASIC miner.
Cheap electricity along with mining equipment is a must. To get a single ASIC that gives a good earning requires at least $1500 for purchase. A newbie who can afford could try mining and profit depends upon the electricity consumption charges.
4427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: February 27, 2017, 04:01:33 AM
Earlier I like bitcoin as innovation, fast transaction, low fee. Now nothing more.
Now too things were getting updated based upon the technology. Blockchain technology which is the key factor for bitcoin's growth is getting trials and implementation in several fields from software to core to maximize the operations in a simple manner without complications as well to eradicate flaws. This technology which is gonna rule the world is the best with bitcoin.
4428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When is Gambling Like Investing on: February 26, 2017, 04:58:32 AM
I'm not a fan of gambling by itself, but instead as a way of studying and learning about other things.  For instance, I'm sure that if elderly people kept playing card games, it would help keep their minds alert.  Studying poker involves studying human nature and probabilities.   There are other aspects like studying risk in gambling, which is like studying risk in investing.

Does anyone have any examples of how gambling is like investing?

According to me it's not possible that anyone can become perfect by just doing Gambling because Gambling is just a Game Of Luck and a User can't win for long term because all the Casinos of the World work on a probability basis so I Don't Suggest anyone to do Gambling in order to make some money.......
Just for money making purpose one should not take part into gambling. If you have good time to spend, similar to forex then you can earn small amounts periodically as if that you get from investments. For this reason I believe gambling too can be considered as a investing source depending on the users need and the eagerness to spend time.
4429  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin break its own record !! on: February 26, 2017, 04:00:50 AM
I have a feeling that the current $1149 is more like the $924 two weeks ago, what happened after that? we're living proof of it, don't be surprised if suddenly you wake up and see $1300+ any days now Cheesy
With bitcoin unexpected things happens at unexpected time, so there is nothing to get surprised. The price is quite good and can reach $1200 or more than $1300 in a sleep and waking. The price is close to $1150, so soon the price might sustain around $1100 for a long. Sometimes the next pump might get initiated after few months time.
4430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Daily use of bitcoin? on: February 26, 2017, 03:35:40 AM
Here i have only one restaurant accepting btc, nobody use btc to pay even restaurant owners and menagment dont know how to use it,still best option is exchange and pay with fiat,i think it will not change soon

Bitcoin confirmation is the main issue as of now. Sometimes they literally take few hours. Some of the businesses ask to use particular wallets for faster confirmation. Last time Fiverr was asking to use coinbase wallet for faster confirmation but not they stopped accepting bitcoins to buy gigs. As you said, the best option is to convert it into fiat first then use it for daily use.
Converting to fiat and using is the best way to use it for daily needs. Particularly now most of the bitcoin wallets has got the same confirmation time. Most of the transactions have been taking a minimum of one day to get confirmed. Fiverr is the one that needs a faster confirmation for the gigs and continued freelance earning.
4431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: February 26, 2017, 03:15:32 AM
I always ask myself why I stopped mining from my desktop computer back in 2011. I did not have any clue about how this worked and I thought like this was going to end quickly. I've probably lost quite a few coins  Roll Eyes
It happens with most users. Currently everything is going good with bitcoin, as more and more users were getting into bitcoin usage. One thing very important is the people holding at least a single bitcoin is very low. More than 50% people using bitcoin don't have a single bitcoin. This stops them from being elite however the price goes high.
Yes, you are right. Most bitcoiners, and specially new adopters, could find very hard, even almost impossible to find in the current bitcoin price increase a real opportunity to gain huge money. The real gainers in the current bitcoin success are undoubtedly the early adopters. Congratulations to them.

I'd agree with your sort of the old adopters of bitcoin or it has been in bitcoin community is very lucky of earning bigger in bitcoins . Unlike new comers sort of the price is really high and they cant really invest on it unlike before the price is lower ., Though they can also be in bitcoin but most of the new is not into bitcoin because for them it is very difficult now
That's true, early adopters are the one who are elite and continues to fall under the elite group. Truly speaking at the days of bitcoin, none could have expected such a growth. Everyone same as picking a slot went for bitcoin, but the potential and the luck of picking the right slot made them elite.
4432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's wrong with Bitcoin? on: February 26, 2017, 02:56:49 AM
If network has encountered heavy attack everything could have got collapsed. More threads have got generated based on the transaction confirmation delay. Users think this transaction confirmation delay a failure in the network. This is not truw, its just a short time impact due to the in expected price movement without the dependence on any factors.
4433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we encourage anyone to develop self control in order to minimize gambling? on: February 25, 2017, 11:58:21 AM
We need to make them understand the disaster that happens when we lose self control while we're into gambling. Major factor is that if addiction happens sure one will be forced to leave gambling. So to have a stability in gambling its good to keep ourselves within certain limits on spending on gambling.
4434  Economy / Speculation / Re: We all gonna be filthy rich and here is why: on: February 25, 2017, 11:28:58 AM
Bitcoin was and is alwaya HODL. I mean bull market.
Bears are all temporary. We are still in relatively early age of bitcoin so in couple of years these prices will look cheap.
I don't mean we will be all rich. I mean bitcoin will get popularity and adoption year after year and every rational in market knows this.

Definitely, Bitcoin is still young, Bitcoin users are tiny compares to the world's population.  This means the market is still unsaturated.  Just imagine if every month a tenth of 1 percent of the population adopt bitcoin, demand will flock in.  There is no other way for bitcoin but to increase in price. We just need to hold and be patient.

When the bitcoin price rises, it will attract more people to the bitcoin world. The user number will also increase.
The price increase attracts more users, at the same it will not continue evenly. So the price won't sustain high for a long. It also get evaluated based on the market moved. Sure it makes users filthy rich unlike the price but need to give lot time for earning as well have to stock to scheduled targets.
4435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: February 25, 2017, 11:06:15 AM
Bitcoin is getting a lot issues recently around the confirmations i wouldnt be surprised if some investors switch to other altcoin that hasnt such delay to confirm the transactions as bitcoin is having. Without any upgrade this will keep happening, and looks like miner farms doesnt agree at all wich is the best thing to follow. Its getting boring already make and be at bitcoin with those issue not handle yet, how long can bitcoin survive if bitcoin dont upgrade into better system?
I do not think so.  I am sure that bitcoin will never replaced by another crypto-currency, even etherium could not replace bitcoin.  Because most of people are thrust to bitcoin. Altcoin could be dead anytime.
As mentioned bitcoin will never be replaced by bitcoin. Few coins similar to eth, monero was found with high growth in user as well technology. But it has not come close in terms of usage, acceptance and price volatility. So bitcoin never bows down to other Altcoins.
4436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm leaving Bitcoin on: February 25, 2017, 10:47:17 AM
It's a long back thread by the year 2012, but people were not in a state to trust technology at that time. Now with its potential it has touched very big highs. So now if op was to say something about bitcoin he could have started a thread promoting bitcoin with a slogan lets move with bitcoin.
4437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction Fees are SPIKING ! on: February 25, 2017, 10:26:53 AM
Transaction fee is spiking in relation to the price increase. This doesn't mean that the fee is high. Now even the increased fee doesn't gets priority in the queue. As for concerned its good to hold on or use confirmation catalyst websites that speed upon transactions.
4438  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'd like to get some bitcoins. Is now a good time to do so? on: February 24, 2017, 05:12:55 AM
I think that if you seek for a good long-term investment, it may be a good opportunity, but in the short term I'm not sure... The price could fall tomorrow, or the next day... In this case it's best to make your own research and draw your own conclusions.

The price is just starting to take off again. It can still be profitable even at today's price. But it is really better if we invest in Bitcoin, go for long term investment. We seen before how much profit it can make even just by holding your bitcoin.

I think it is not so good decision to buy when the price is high, or when we are facing a very volatile period. Both conditions are concurring right now, so I good prefer to wait for a less volatile period to identify a clearer trend in the price as well as a potential market correction.
Even the increased price doesn't matter. Affordability is the important factor, when one can afford such a big price it doesn't matter the time of buying. Buying now to get good profit as the price variation is continuing with respect to time. The volatility is quite high which will decrease after a certain time period.
4439  Economy / Economics / Re: Is trading just educated guessing? on: February 24, 2017, 04:51:01 AM
Trading doesn't need to be educated if the focus is towards the service sector. When it comes to bitcoin trading basic computing knowledge is a must. Later on can make a better earning with the skills and experience that we gain through our knowledge which is the base.
4440  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to 1400 on: February 24, 2017, 04:20:58 AM
The price is getting closer to break the $1200 barrier. So if technology supports and ETF too gets approved sure we've got the increased chances of reaching $1400 and more, because bitcoin analysts have predicted for a very big price in a short based upon the ETF approval.
