4421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dead coins... on: April 08, 2019, 06:43:47 AM
What makes a coin dead? I would say when it has no active nodes, no trading volume and no development, in that order. Anyone have a different definition?
Majority of the projects or coins you mentioned are just replicas of the open source code that is available and they are in to make money when they can and shut when they reach their target, make sure you understand the risk when you are investing in anything that is not listed in the top ten market cap.

My second question, why does CMC still list these coins!?!?!?
If you are shelling out money then they will list, first they will shell out money to an exchange to list their coin and then it will be listed in CMC, money talks here.
4422  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: This PROVES market manipulation, 20,000 BTC order at same time on 3 exchanges! on: April 08, 2019, 05:59:55 AM
As we saw yesterday, someone coordinated a 20,000 BTC buy across 3 exchanges all at the same time.
It was a coordinated buy to manipulate the price without a doubt, if not they could have purchased $100 million worth from OTC exchanges rather than being listed in public exchanges, but it has a driving force for the price to climb to this level.

No big deal, I could do the same thing with my desktop pc and 2 laptops.  But the point is that someone with $100 million to play with is out there working the markets.
It is a really big deal, anyone can do the same things using a laptop and an internet connection, but the major component that is missing is the $100 million  Tongue Cheesy.

And I say good.  Pump the price of all alt coins so I can make a nice profit!

All I ask is that these market manipulators PM me and let me know which coin to buy before they pump it, and when to dump it.  I'm not going to share the information with anyone, that wouldn't be good for my profits!  Thanks!
There is no secret to it, i really do not think anyone in the right sense will spend hundred million for any other coin other than bitcoin, so get bitcoin and make your profits. Wink
4423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you watch the matches you're gambling on on: April 08, 2019, 05:14:34 AM
But I still gamble each day on sports, most of my gamble is on football, but I never or almost never watch any games live.
How important is it to be able to watch the matches to make correct bets on the teams. I don't think it has made any difference for me, I still withdraw more money than I deposit from my sport bookmakers.

My question is, do you watch the games your gambling on?
First and foremost, the people who gamble at a particular sport will have an interest in the sport they are betting and you will know a lot more about the team and their performance and then we are making our predictions, i am not sure how you can do that without following the match, since you mentioned that you still keep on winning even after not watching any matches, it is a great thing that many cannot afford. 4424  Economy / Services / Re: Buying Souls 1 BTC each on: April 08, 2019, 04:21:14 AM
Buying souls, I don't care if you believe in souls or your not religious.  You will sign a paper with a statement agreeing to sell your soul to me for all of eternity.

1 btc per person, must have photo id and prove who you are.
Looks like you already sold your soul for bitcoin by starting a signature campaign without any escrow and with a newbie account  Tongue
Even if you meant to be funny with this thread, i am sure you will  be getting many photo ID for your soul searching process but how about the funds like everyone mentioned  Tongue Cheesy.
4425  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Transfering bitcoin to another person account on coinbase tax question on: April 08, 2019, 03:38:56 AM
Can anyone guide me, is this considered gifting someone if you send over bitcoin to another familymember on coinbase? How do you file this on tax form?
Since you are transferring through coinbase to another user it will not be taxable, it is clearly mentioned in the website itself, you can also generate report from the account for every transactions and while filing your taxes it will help you, any gains or losses must be filed and it all depends upon which country you are from as every country have a different take on things, so if you could mention your country it would be easier to explain.
4426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH to 200$ ? on: April 08, 2019, 02:56:29 AM
i have question for Traders.
what you think about ETH price, max predict about 3-4 month.
it will be200+?
It is a highly achievable target depending on the market situation, the price is hovering around $181 as we speak now and it is a possibility that it will touch your valuation in a few months time or it might happen in a weeks time too, the market is recovering and hopefully we will not have a major correction in the mean time and if that happens the market will ride out, if there is a correction, consider it as an opportunity to invest, but still i prefer other coins for investment than ETH.
4427  Other / Politics & Society / Re: New Zealand ChristChurch mass shootings >:( >:( on: April 08, 2019, 02:35:37 AM
Just Today, I've heard a news about the mass shooting on a mosque in New Zealand.  49 People have been killed and might be a terrorist attack.
Based on my research the alleged attacker identified as Australian citizen.

I have seen the actual video when the killer actually uploaded it on facebook. I have to still find it so you can all see how this guy is just actually acting like he is just like a famous battle royale game (PUBG).  This kind of act is purely inhuman and should be stop RIP to all the victims and justice should prevail
People who are unstable and not mentally sound are getting hold of guns and until that can be sorted out, these horrible things will happen and it is really unfortunate, in majority of the mass shooting incidents i have followed, everyone does have a history of mental illness who does not have any remorse or empathy towards another human being, if he wants to challenge himself one on one combat is the best way rather than hiding behind a gun like a coward.

4429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't fall for the pump, Bitcoin won't stay pass 4k nor does it deserve to. on: April 08, 2019, 01:55:12 AM
From all the major flaws presented in Bitcoin one could say PoW is the major flaw of them all making the coin more centralized than even most people can't afford to keep up with other miners, these are day traders doing there thing again making profits on your losses, beware most say it's like gold it doesn't need to be fast but in reality it just isn't so secure.
So what is your prediction now when the price is above five thousand dollars, it is just manipulated by day traders  Cheesy, this is the first time i am hearing this, why not they manipulate the price o a daily basis and make a hell lot of money, just doing at for a few occasions just kills the fun right  Tongue.
In your concept which is the most decentralized coin and most secure. If you start a topic and claim some stupid things about bitcoin is not secure, you have to explain that clearly so that everyone can understand.
4430  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bullish Bitcoin Technicals Thrills Analysts to Predict Next Leap Beyond $7,000 on: April 07, 2019, 05:41:26 PM
$7,000 is more realistic in 2020 as we approach the halving & then BOOM, we start our moon bound mission. It’s too early & unsustainable for $7,000 now. Bitcoin has the power of surprising us very often though so who knows.
Anything is possible in this market, we might see the price even touching 8k by the end of this year and we will see small corrections along the way. I really do not want to see a steep increase in price at this stage as the correction also will be that steep. I expect that the market will see a price bound around $4500 to $6500 for sometime until the next push
4431  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is following the same path of 2017 on: April 07, 2019, 04:56:54 PM
I am not sure there are similarities in 2017. Many experts predict the movement of bitcoin in 2019 will be the same as 2015. so I think bitcoin will fall back and recover soon in 6 months later
This is exactly what i expect this time around too, one thing is certain that the market is recovering and the signs are really good and hopefully we wont be going down to $3k from this situation, i am expecting the price range around $8K by the end of this year and we might see some small correction in between.

@OP Hopefully Bitcoin will follow the path of 2017 by 2021. Smiley
4432  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Art of quitting !!!! on: April 07, 2019, 04:36:00 PM
Sometimes having an exit in mind is a bad idea. Like yesterday when Bitcoin pumped 20% if you had decided to exit you would have lost a chance to double this profit today.
The best way around it is to wait and be ready to sell at all times or set up a bot to sell for you when prices fall.
It depends on the market situation, the smart move is to invest for the long haul then you wont be selling during these valuation, unless you see a good rally we will hold on to the coins and during those times having a exit strategy is a good one to come up with a good profit before the market crashes and entering once again at the bottom, having a bot to monitor those price movements is a good idea.

4433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can the centralization of Bitcoin mining pools be prevented? on: April 07, 2019, 04:04:28 PM
As Bitcoin's mining industry grows, the dominant ASIC company known as Bitmain controls most of the network's hashrate. Major mining pools are under such company's control, putting at risk the entire Bitcoin blockchain against 51% attacks.
One thing they will not do is to hurt their business in the first place, if they destroy bitcoin with any kind of attack it is like destroying them self and i am not sure they will be doing that kind of thing, no one will kill the golden goose. Sure the entire mining is centralized and there is nothing that can be done at this stage, if there is a fork regarding that i am not sure how it will impact the market.
4434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: April 07, 2019, 03:06:13 PM
I agree mate, I think the fourth is either New Zealand or South Africa but I think I would put South Africa just ahead of New Zealand on current form in ODI matches. There is no doubt that the winner in my mind will come from either of these top 5 teams, there may be a surprise from say Sri Lanka, Pakistan and maybe even Bangladesh but I can't see them winning the World Cup.
There is another team which i would like to mention here, West Indies with the new management might resolve the issues with the players they had and if that happens before the world cup they will have a strong team with some power hitters and they could upset some top teams if they click as a unit and with Gayle opening and with Pollard and Andre Russel they will have a very strong power hitters that could change any match.
South Africa and New Zealand could be in the semis, things are getting interesting nearing the world cup.
4435  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Fun! 🏀 Fast! 🎾 Fair!🏆 on: April 07, 2019, 01:57:15 PM
I know some people were able to by pass the IP restriction by using VPN, but don't know how risky it is when you get caught by the site, I'm afraid your money will be on hold and that would create a problem on your side.
I am certain that they will not allow if you are entering from US and a message will pop up regarding that, but i am not sure about other countries who have those restrictions, but i would like to hear from them regarding that, even if you bye pass a countries internet restrictions, i am not talking about US restrictions but other countries, will they allow to gamble and will they dispute if they win big.

side note : If a country restricts fiat based gambling then we can understand, bitcoin is to break those restrictions and no government will follow those things unless you make payment using fiat currencies and if a site accepts that, then there is no issue.
4436  Other / Off-topic / Re: One thing I am Glad for in 2018 on: April 07, 2019, 12:13:12 PM
Crypto is all about learning. I learnt a lot of things in 2018 and more importantly i learn how to survive in a bear market. 2018 was a tough year for trading too but things are now changing fast as we are already seeing some alts getting 2x and even more.

Another thing is that we all survived the bearish market and now is the time to take profit from the bull market. Grin
Having an experience is always a good thing, but you have to learn from it and never make the same mistake twice, there are ways in which you can earn money even in a bear market, future trading is a way to earn money in a bear market if you are sure you can predict the trend or the price   Wink. The risk is there in every market, but there is nothing wrong in testing out new waters with little amount.
4437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How big this market really is? on: April 07, 2019, 11:02:31 AM
It really don't affect the price cause it never have a recorded transactions appears in the blockchain. This simply means that huge investors/whales do some market manipulations by using this strategy and taking advantage over the small players.
It is not really good to us but we haven't such power to stop them cause they are the so-called big players in crypto and making prices to move.
That is a wrong thought process, OTC transaction means they are doing business without the help of exchanges and you really do not see those buy orders in any exchanges but it will appear in the blockchain, if not what is the point of these transactions, these OTC transaction does happen only for huge buy and sell orders, on the other hand whales manipulate by showing these transactions in exchanges which causes panic situation among other investors.
4438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not about ''get rich fast'' !! on: April 07, 2019, 09:58:02 AM
I am sick of new people who are here only for bitcoin price, only for gains and still talking about price ... Everywhere i see like bitcoin will go to 100,000 USD or 1,000,000 USD, they only want to get rich fast but bitcoin is not about it ... Bitcoin is about freedom and privacy .
Let us take into account about the countries where there are no merchants that accept bitcoin, what are they going to do with it, they invested for the profit as there is literally nothing they can do about it, if not they will not purchase bitcoin in the first place, bitcoin is freedom and transparency and it is not a privacy tool, If someone is to invest into something they need to have some benefit, i agree it is not a get rich fast process, but it will give you much bigger profit than the rest of the financial investments.
4439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NPXS] pundi x moon or doom ? on: April 06, 2019, 09:09:31 PM
Hi, everything is in the title. I think this project is ridiculously cheap regarding the charts. What do u think about guys ?
I see all their updates and development but it is not reflecting in the price as it is valued lower than the ICO price and I am not sure what is happening with it. I should have sold it when it crossed 250 sat but held for the long term thinking it to be a good project but after the crash it bottomed down at 10 to 20 sat price range and I am not sure whether it will touch another ATH.
4440  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everyone now seems excited after bitcoin reaching to almost 5k Usd. on: April 06, 2019, 08:22:24 PM
Mind you that it will just take a few months tp get an ATH once again with bitcoin.
Who among you here feels the same way after seeing the recent good news with bitcoin market price increase?
If you are analysing the pump in price in the past and if you incorporate those rallies and compare it with the present situation, you will not get much data regarding it as the market itself is less than ten years old and hence we cannot come up with a conclusion on how the market will react by looking at the past market situation. I am not expecting any big rallies at this time, but we might see these kind of spikes in price.
