4421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 23, 2020, 03:30:23 AM
^  The 2020/2021 season could start later and be shortened by a couple of months.  And it'll probably safe enough in some areas to get people out in crowds again by then.

I hope I hope.  *fingers crossed*

A shortened EPL season would be roller coaster Cheesy

Imagine teams playing on a tight schedule with all the those tournaments and league competitions due to a shortened season. Maybe they would have to completely remove international friendlies or even International breaks as a whole.

Oh..  They're prolly dropping one of the cup games (the League Cup).  Maybe even both.  IMHO.  But there's gonna be less money going around, that's for sure.

The big money is in the PL & CL which is why those two competitions in particular will definitely be concluded. I think some PL teams are returning to training in mid May.

@LFC_Bitcoin be ready to pop up the champagne as the premier league will resume and end by July 31st, and since this news has been confirmed now it’s time to save our funds, because we can earn a lot of money by wagering on the top 6 teams during the remaining season. There’s also one worrying news which say that these matches may be shown as a subscription based model in UK, which means that people will abandon social distancing to watch these matches, and I would strongly recommend to those people to not break social distancing guidelines.

Quote

Meanwhile, Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden has raised concerns if matches played behind closed doors were shown on subscription-based channels Sky Sports and BT Sport, who hold the UK rights, then it could lead to fans visiting friend's houses to watch the games.

We have some new faces for this week.

Note: There are no current competition at the moment..

@milewilda indeed some new faces, but it seems an existing face is off the table (hdf), but I won’t be surprised if he comes back on the table before the week ends. Furthermore the player on the top has taken an unassailable lead, and if someone decides to chase him down then it’ll be super exciting to watch their clash.

Luckybit Dice? This is a big surprise... And for sure tons of users will love it!

After taking a look to that user interphase design I have to say this will be a really original way to play dice. Congrats to LB for this nice step!

This looks like a gas burner to me and it has been modified to make it look more appealing, and now I can’t wait to see it in action as it looks promising to me.

...
Damn grats Btc Boss, you must be the first one who hit that max payout on the gray line. Although your bet was the minimum bet but still nice profit. Would you mind to share how many bets you did before you hit that x9999?
You must be so lucky player if you hit it in just few hundreds bets, it is still very nice even if you hit it in few thousands bets.

Hello Bitinity...

It take me 33,000 bets to hit it. Wasn't easy at all, i had to chase the shot. But it was fun, i get busted chasing it, and 3 days after that i make a depo for the happy hour, and drop 3 bets on the silver line to test the bet sizes, and boom! x9999.

Other users like OldHiall and Kolloh get the x999 faster, i mean, OldHiall hit that spot inless than 20k bets and kolloh in 3500. So, is about luck.

Congratulations @seoincorporation for hitting x999, and I have to admit that you have lots of patience as not all users can play 33,000 bets without getting frustrated.
4424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Masterbating 2.0 Emails, don’t fall for the trap. on: April 21, 2020, 01:15:45 PM
If you have been on this forum for a long time now then you’ll know that few years back a phishing mail had landed in people's mail box claiming that they had been captured masterbating while watching porn, but it was a scam mail. However what made people to believe that it was Real was the fact that it contained their passwords used by them, but rest assured guys they have no such videos of yours so don’t bother about the mail. Now I know people will ask me why am I bringing up a dead topic then let me tell you’ll that this mail is circulating once again, and many cases about bitcoins scams are on the rise.

Quote

Bitcoin Abuse, a website that tracks these kinds of Bitcoin scams, has fielded almost 50,000 reports this year. April has seen a massive influx of submissions — over 41,000 — and while not all of them are specific to the sextortion scam, many are, and they’re coming in multiple languages.

Helpful tips:

So, security researchers at Sophos advise you to do two things. First: Delete the email and move on.

The second is change the password referenced in the email, as it’s likely that other phishers also have access to it. Even if they’re old accounts, you should change them to protect your current ones.

4425  Economy / Gambling discussion / This guy gambles and wins a total amount of £400,000 and quits while ahead. on: April 21, 2020, 09:46:01 AM
Josh Spurling decided to gamble out of sheer boredom since he was locked at home due to the current lockdown situation, and he gambled on two different occasions and on both he won big amounts totalling to £400,000.

It’s also pertinent to note that he’s decided not to gamble anymore as he believes to quit while he’s ahead, but something tells me he’s going to gamble again.

Now I know many will ask me why I feel this, so the answer is simple he’s already spending his fortune away quickly, and he’ll have more confidence in his luck so it’s only a matter of days before he gambles again.

Lastly there’re two important lessons we all can learn from him, 1) quit while you’re ahead and 2) don’t splurge your winning fortune quickly spend it slowly and wisely.

Quote

A SALESMAN won more than £400,000 in online casinos when he was bored during lockdown.

Josh Spurling struck lucky in two games just a few days apart.

Quote

The window and door salesman has already spent £50,000 on a house deposit, as well as presents for himself and his family including his daughters aged eight and three. A holiday is also on the cards.

But Josh is now giving up online gambling. He said: “I feel I’ve had my luck and I’ve done really well. If I carried on I’d jinx it.”

Well this wasnt going to be undetected for very long but North korea did have a parade day for the founding fathers on april 15th and the leader was not in attendance.
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-northkorea-politics/south-korea-says-north-koreas-kim-is-not-seriously-ill-yonhap-idUSKBN2230AV
Even if they deny it just because it is north korea, the iron curtain, it could be possible.

Someone was saying this was first of trending on twitter. Embarrassed

@rdbase in my personal opinion he’s recovered and he’s fine, but conspiracy theorists are weaving this story and taking advantage of the fact that he missed the parade. Also I’m sincerely hoping that he survives this, as the last thing this world needs is to let North Korea’s nukes fall in the wrong hand.

Relatively new to the site but I like it.
Of course I can be a better judge when the real sports section opens up!

Im currently betting on esports and I like the market, games are up early, odds are fair and the grading is quick!

I will be using it as my main sportsbook!
You do not have to like a website with everything in it as well. You can for example like the website itself, but hate the management if you want, or you can love the team, but you think website could get some improvements, you may like the features and the code but hate design. Basically you can find a lot of stuff you can both love about stake but also hate about as well.

I am known to be disliking the work symphonized given for example and said that probably a million times already, dude comes in here everyday, posts race information, leaves and literally gets paid for that, I am 99% sure there could be a bot made for that. Whenever we discuss something important, he simply ignores it and not even respond unless it is something positive. I assume he tells the discomfort to other team members so not like he does nothing but he doesn't tell us this so it looks like he does nothing of value for stake.

I'm actually a woman and thank you for your feedback.
Besides that i can tell you that i don't answer / ignore the complains because it's not my department to answer them and i have no information regarding such situations (you can check my title: Brand Manager, not Support or someone that should solve your issue).

The only thing i can do is advertise, keep the topic alive and see what the community hates / likes to get as best news and that's it.

Complains are always forward to my superiors either directly to Edward or the Support team.
Sometimes you might notice i don't have to answer since the Support team does that for me just like Micro or KatarinaS

I hope i have clarified your doubts and thoughts.

@Symphonized that’s an excellent way to shut down the hater without crossing a line, and I have seen her reply to a user where she felt she could reply on behalf of the support team, and no robot could have written such a precise reply. Furthermore she’s done nothing wrong by coming here and promoting the sites, as it’s part of Stake and Primedice marketing plan, and she’s never claimed that’s she’s here for support so stop blaming, and attacking her. Lastly you could learn some ethics from her on how to work efficiently, and how to deal with trolls/haters like you.

Hello CoinSkipper,

We (Stake Staff) have been pronouncing several times now both here at Bitcointalk and our Socials that each individual Gambler should make their accounts more secure.

Things like enabling your 2FA, Email Confirmation and even checking your Sessions (Account -> Settings -> Sessions) on a regular basis is important.

There's nothing Support can do as refunding you since bets have been placed and it was by someone that had access to your account.

I would suggest you to enable such verifications and change your password to a more safer unused anywhere else one.
4428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: April 20, 2020, 06:01:24 PM
This topic is very interesting. The big question is, how can we have any sports gambling without any live sports? Now this is not something that can be done with the past matches, or the tournaments that may happen in the future. For sports gambling, you need real-time sports events. And perhaps the only event that is ongoing right now is the Belarusian Premier League.

There is chance for some sport events to be held at the end of the year, some are only postponed with hope that things will slowly get back to normal
However, for majority of sports this year is lost, as well as for sport gambling so the choice is very poor at the moment. Personaly I'm not interested in gambling in past events, that mskes no sense.

@Vishnu.Reang gamblers these days are turning their attention to different sports, and I had made a thread out here highlighting how gamblers are now gambling on marbles and trotting. @bitbunnny there’re various reports which say that many football leagues will resume in May, but it’ll be without fans and though this is welcome news for gamblers as a football fan it’ll irritating to watch them play in empty stands.

4429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / 25 millions in bitcoins and Ethereum lost in hack over the weekend. on: April 20, 2020, 01:22:22 PM
Quote

Lending protocol Lendf.me saw some $25 million in ether (ETH) and bitcoin (BTC) exit its wallets late Saturday and early Sunday after its money market pool was attacked. Lendf is one of two protocols supported by the dForce Foundation.

This is really sad news as hacking in these times is the last thing they needed, and I don’t think they’ll ever recover their lost funds and now I’m just hoping that they find a way to survive in these testing times. Further it’s been claimed that this hack was possible due to a bug that they failed to fix, and it’s really sad that they didn’t take better precautions to protect their funds.

Quote
Initial investigations carried out by several DeFi and Ethereum (ETH) experts show that this hack may have been caused by a vulnerability of imBTC-ETH interaction, which is required for lending protocols. imBTC is one of the Bitcoin-pegged assets designed in accordance with the ERC-777 standard. This bug made for a number of DeFi attacks possible, including a recent Uniswap hack.

Too Many Red Flags

dForce has already been accused in plagiarizing code for one of the industry-level protocols, Compound. This fact is among the 'red flags' of today's victim Kain Warwick, Synthetix's Founder.

BD's always loaded a little slower for me than other similar sites, but as I've often said before, that's because of my connection (I can only login from office OR sometimes from a phone if I have data). I've long ago cut my home connection as can't afford extra expenses and since I live at my work practically, I just go home to cook and sleep.

That said, lately, since the last 2 improvements, speed has improved noticeably. So I'm sure, it's a connection issue (your ISP).
These network issues should be addressed first to your ISP before seeing if it's BitDice's problem or not. As usual, just like me, I don't have a problem accessing the site and I know that my internet is quite good.

Why I'm getting an error while accessing the games like satoshis secret as "request to reaching the server has been blocked by the extension" why it happens any idea guys?
Are you still experiencing the error up to this time?

@jossiel I remember this @slaman29 was finding it slow to connect to various sites due to his office connection, but now I’m glad that he’s able to access Bitdice faster than before. Also for @thottum query @BoXXoB had answered him, and if anyone ever needs any kind of support use the intercom button on Bitdice site you’ll get a quick solution to any problems you’re facing.

It could be geo restriction. As far as I understand it should be giving an error but anyway, geo-restriction is a likely reason for the issue.

Also, do other games work?

EDIT: Also make sure flash is enabled
4431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Recommended gambling site to play In-Between on: April 20, 2020, 06:16:40 AM
Greetings Everyone,

I just wanted to ask if there is a reputable gambling website that has In-Between or Acey Deucey, also known as Yablon. Honestly, this is the only game I played in real life when it comes to gambling and I enjoy playing it due to its simple betting rule.

For those people who has no idea about this game, let me quote its definition according to Wiki.

Quote from: en.wikipedia.org
Each player must add their ante into the pot. Two cards are then dealt face-up to one player. That player then bets from nothing to the amount that is in the pot at the time whether or not the third card will numerically fall in between the first two. If the third card falls in between the two other cards, the bettor takes the amount he bet out of the pot; if the third card falls outside of the two other cards, the bettor must add what he bet to the pot; and if the third card matches the numerical value of one of the other two cards, the bettor must add to the pot double what they bet. If two cards of the same value come up, e.g. 2,2 the bettor picks if the next card will be higher or lower and bets. If the next card is the same as the last two, i.e. a 2, the bettor must triple their bet.

@Maus0728 I believe that Bitdice has this game or at least it looks very similar to me based on what you have posted out here. I have posted a photo out here for you so check it, if this is the game you’re looking for and if it is you can login the site and play Bitaces that’s the name of this game.

4432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: April 20, 2020, 03:39:09 AM
But does this news indicates that Australian cricket board is firing some of their administrative staffs due to coronavirus ?

Cricket Australia suspend majority of administrative staff amid coronavirus crisis

Well.. the other boards (including the BCCI) may also follow this, as they don't have any other choice available. But the Australian board will be in big trouble, if they have to cancel the test series against India. Bilateral series against India is huge, and it has the potential to boost the CA coffers by up to $200 million. But if they have to cancel it, then the board will be in serious financial trouble.

@Vishnu.Reang I believe that this series would already be insured so CA should not suffer any losses, but let’s take a hypothetical situation where the series is not insured then they will not use the word cancel, rather they’ll declare that the series is postponed and then they’ll try and schedule it in the coming months or next year. Lastly I don’t think so that CA will be in a financial trouble as they’re a rich board, and will they suffer a financial setback maybe yes but will it effect their normal operations no it won’t.

4433  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin Price to hit $400k a prediction by an analyst *face palm* on: April 19, 2020, 05:25:00 PM
Dave the Wave the analyst who this article author claims correctly predicted last years bitcoin crash, has made a wild speculation again this time as he claims that Bitcoin prices will hit $400k which is an absurd prediction in my personal opinion. Further the author of this article wants us to believe that just because Dave got it right once he’ll get it right again, and I do hope that newbies don’t fall for such gimmicks and avoid making investment decisions based on such analysts views.

Quote

In the crypto world, Dave the Wave’s predictions always carry significant weight. This is after he predicted in July last year that BTC would enter a parabolic downtrend, and Bitcoin price fell from $11,600 to $6,425 as he predicted.

With Dave the Wave’s previous prediction coming true in the past, this lends credence to this forecast.

Author is a newbie first he claims it’s a reliable prediction, and then goes on to questioning it :
Quote

As to how BTC would increase to these prices remains a mystery, especially for greenhorns in the industry. However, it is not the first time Bitcoin hikes by a seemingly unthinkable amount.

4434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH 2.0 testnet is alive and running on: April 19, 2020, 12:50:00 PM
In short, this is the staking test for Ethereum right? Then we have to wait until 3 months and we'll see how it will go. Possibly. I'm looking for the reason of its uptrend and now you have it, this might be the actual reason ETH has pumped recently. I'll hope for the success of this and gonna wait for those pools that will allow you to be part of being a validator with any amount or if not, a smaller amount than the required 32 ETH.

https://u.today/ethereum-eth-20-major-milestone-achieved-as-topaz-testnet-launched-by-prysmatic-labs

ETH testnet is alive and running with genesis block on 18.04. at 00:00 UTC and current number of active validators approaching 18k
https://beacon.etherscan.io/

this testnet requires full deposit on 32ETH to be a validator, next step is a multi-client testnet and we need three months of stable work for the multi-client testnet to get to have ETH2.0 beacon chain launch

cheers for this, and this could be a reason for an ongoing upward momentum on ETH price
This test net has already exist since few months ago but it seems like people are just realizing it right now. My friend has already started to be a validator and he was trying the test net too last month. I guess ethereum will get another pump again very soon.

@casperBGD thanks for sharing this news and now it makes more sense why Ethereum prices are rising, and just yesterday I had written that prices will rise further and this confirms my prediction for Ethereum. @makishart indeed people including me didn’t knew about this, and as and when you get any new updates you should share it here so we all can become aware of it.

@baodo159, Clearly they are doing some investigations of your account and if everything is fine then they will approve the withdrawal. Would not be nice to co-operate? You have to understand they do all the security checks and stuffs to keep our money safe.
Yes two days gone but it does not harm to give them some extra hours or a day.
LoL, the way you talk just like them. Are you their employes?? When it come to cash-out which is mean you are asking for the money it should be there when they stated all withdrawal are instantly and some could go under security review for 24 hours max. There are no any reason that I have to wait more than that? I did not use any bonus, just deposited and played then won. You have to put yourself in my own shoes to understand it buddy.
Goodluck and don't being like me when it happened to you.!!!

We understand that you are frustrated on how the events turn on your side but the best thing to do is to chill out mate if you didn't violate any of their terms then your withdrawals will be processed on the said timeline maybe they just found something suspicious that's why they do a sort of investigation on your account. But if you think the timeline is long enough for you to wait maybe its best to contact them again to follow up your issue.

Look they are around here from long time and has very good reputation so far. I do not think for 0.2 BTC they are going to risk their reputation.  If they have standard procedure to follow then they will follow and asking 2 days is not that long to wait. If you have not done anything wrong then just calm down, your money will be in your wallet if everything is fine.

Furthermore, you can contact FortuneJack, PM him. Possibly this will accelerate the process.

@baodo159 this is not the first time they’re investigating someone’s withdrawal and it won’t be the last time too, and for what’s it worth I feel they’re completely justified to do it, as they’re running a legit business but few people try to take advantage of their business, and to protect themselves they need to do such checks. Also if you’re innocent just wait your funds will be released to you, just give them some more time to respond to you.
4436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and health 🤕symptoms on: April 19, 2020, 07:29:03 AM
It's true, Bitcoin wasn't designed to make gamblers' life better, but what if it works that way still? I personally think that when all the gambling industry will be using online crypto platforms, there will be much less gambling addicts than what we have today. And that's because it is easier to stop playing when behind your computer than when in a physical casino. Not trying to say that there will be no gambling addicts at all, but the number will be smaller, imo. But we have to wait for some reliable stats on that matter, which can take years.

What I think is that playing online gambling will make it easier for someone to drain their wallet than a physical casino. As you said playing in front of monitor won't make them play for long, it's because their money has been used up.
When their physical health is saved, it doesn't mean also with mental health after experiencing severe losses in a short time.
Yeah thats true when you are playing line you will get some time to think and stay mentally fresh no one will be there to disturb or distract you but to keep calm and stay healthy a gambler must have control over their emotions. Its really not good to spend all your savings just for your fun as it can give you mental stress that's why much better to keep limited gambling and stay mentally healthy.

Once you are already deep in gambling, very few can really have the control of their emotions. So as much as possible before you start playing, even in online casinos, you should know already your limits. How much you are ready to spend and lose. Because in gambling, you should always be ready to accept that all the money that you will spend will totally be lost after playing. Mental stress is common to most gamblers especially if you are using money that are not yours.

I beg to differ as a addicted gambler will gamble until his wallet is empty irrespective of the fact whether he’s gambling on a land based casino or a online casino. Furthermore in a land based casino he may carry limited cash and stop gambling when his wallet is empty, but in online casinos he can continuously buy crypto’s and keep gambling till his wallet becomes zero. In these kind of scenarios it’s very important that they seek professional help, and understand their addiction and work on reducing it.

Ethereum has suddenly decided that’s it going to banish coronavirus blues for us and make us all happy, and what I mean to say is that we’re witnessing a nice upward movement in Ethereum prices, which is bringing much needed relief in these troublesome times. Also I do believe that we shall witness more upward movements soon in Ethereum prices, and hopefully it’ll break the $200 mark by April end and then continue it’s upwards journey.

Guys, I think it's happening:  All English Football League games to resume behind closed doors and broadcast on TV or online

No official date yet but I think football action will resume in [the last few days of] May and probably early June. Number of new confirmed coronavirus cases is yet to start a downward movement in the UK, but hopefully it'll start going down this month or next month.
The problem with the current world order is money. They seem to care less and less about a few lives lost so long as they generate money. Just like some members here, i don't even see these leagues resuming behind closed doors any time soon. May or June is a very short time frame.

No vaccine has been approved yet, the virus has not even shown signs of slowing down and this Football Associations think that the horizon is near?

They are mistaken. Heck look what happened to China Yesterday... New number of deaths jumped to 1290 in 24 hours just when they thought they had started to manage the situation and even loosened the lockdown.

I think China are definitely lying about their death numbers, they’re just trying to make it look more realistic which it doesn’t. How could they possibly have so few deaths, it’s ridiculous.

Any way, to get back on topic it’s good that the PL clubs & officials agreed the season will still be finished.

@tomahawk9 indeed they’re planning to resume the league by June 8, and my worst fears are coming true that it’ll be played behind closed doors which will make the league very boring to watch. @logfiles I’ll second that as the league should not have resumed until July at least, and I’m not even sure how they plan to keep the support staff and the players safe during these matches. @DeathAngel either you don’t know about China’s politics or you really believe in them a lot either way they’re not to be trusted, and they’re definitely lying about the number of people who have died due to coronavirus in their country.
