4421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is Trending on Twitter on: September 07, 2021, 07:42:25 AM
It is totally normal now. Because the price has finally gone over $51k after going around $50k for some time. After Bitcoin price broke the $50k resistance level again, I started thinking like this time the price would continue to climb until reaching $55k at least. And it was nearly $52k in the last 24 hours ($51.9k). I believe that we can see the price reaching even $60k at the end of this month. And in early October, we might witness a new ATH.

It's still not yet what I would say is a strong 50k signal, I'd like to see this price maintain til Sunday first, but watching it go to 52k now is a good sign, and most TA says the resistance looks close to flipping to becoming support. If we do indeed make 55k it will be over 10% and incredibly tough for bears to remove the swing.

So yes people, BTC is trending. Twitter's just catching up.
4422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 7th September 2021 Bitcoin becomes legal tender first in history on: September 07, 2021, 05:58:49 AM
Hurray!!! This is positive news and at a time when the market is already in a good position, I wonder how much of an impact it may have. We already saw it reach 52K and right now making another attempt.

In good timing for this legal tender on Bitcoin... We shall see how the rest of the world reacts to this news and what it will mean for the world of crypto

Yeah and right now as I type it's still 52.1k and in my location on localbitcoins actually the trading is really good. You can buy it at still 51.5k but if you sell it you can do it for 52.5 (when you convert). It's very rare that both selling and buying is cheaper or better than the regular rate worldwide but usually when this happens, this means that the traders are just so confident they are happy to get volumes going.

4424  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investors their mind on: September 06, 2021, 06:17:05 PM
the person must never forget the best weapon against losses: STOP - LOSS is the most important thing as soon as the person intends to buy a coin the person must already have in mind the region where they will put the STOP - LOSS, do not buy coins and forget about put stop - loss... there are cases where bitcoin can drop very suddenly and if the person does not put STOP - LOSS the person can lose a lot of money

Which I even call the basic fundamental of trading (and even can be used in gambling as a max loss setting). If you're not using stop loss, you're not a trader. Simple. Even entry point should be a limit order in my opinion. Anyone trading pure spot and leaving trades without stops or limits, that's just asking for trouble.
4425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will its price start being stabilized? on: September 06, 2021, 01:28:54 PM
Bitcoin will never stop growing as long as the technology is still there.

It's less of the tech, then utility and adoption. Altcoins arguably have much more advanced tech, some call themselves 3rd and even 4th generation blockchain, Bitcoin being seen as the 1st generation and what have they been able to gain except speculators, hype and drama from influencers? It's all about belief and adoption, and actual use.
4426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: September 06, 2021, 09:10:36 AM
They will probably feel the same way.

France may be having the best football players, but it is of no use if there is no bonding between the players. Everyone wants to score on their own, and don't want to pass the ball. Sometimes it work, and sometimes it doesn't. Spain and Italy on the other hand are teams with perfect coordination between the players. The same can be said about Belgium as well. Lukaku may be the best player in Europe, but it is of no use when he fails to pass the ball. Even in the Euro Cup, he wasted some good chances because he wouldn't pass the ball.

This was what made Italy champions in the last tournament I do agree, team bonding is so important. And the same as you said with Spain during their era of perfection. But I would say also it's not the only thing, not also the most crucial. If you have full professionals and a gameplan that works, and a team understanding, you could even be enemies with all 11 of the players on the pitch and win like a machine. Pass or not pass, not because you are friends, but because that is the game plan.
4427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: September 06, 2021, 07:00:30 AM
Particularly for Lingard who had a super performance and already showing both country and club coach and fans that his morale is high (probably with the thoughts of playing with CR7 after the international break, which you see after he mimicked CR7's signature celebration with an upgrade or maybe with the thoughts of England unbeaten run in the qualifiers so far). He hasn't scored a goal for England in a really long time.

Very different England team that could only score 1 goal max each game in the last tournament group stage, so I'm sure a lot of English fans are getting excited (they are 3rd favorite by the way to win WC).

So happy for Jesse Lingard too. Great player and talent but he kept drowning among superstars at Manchester United. Ronaldo might drown him even further though;)
4428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: September 05, 2021, 11:00:18 AM
Everyone talking about French problems now but actually, if you remember, this is an old problem. I'm still backing the Spanish as I did in EURO but the bookies are still looking at France and Brazil to be the top 2 favorites, so they also remember French problems are always at the beginning. Tough to win early games in Group stages and then they improve towards the end of tournament. They will probably feel the same way.

4430  Economy / Economics / Re: The lending problem on: September 04, 2021, 03:33:11 PM
But you missed the entire point of my post, and the post I was responding to. At least business banks and development banks actually do give out money or capital for no collateral (they require a good business plan and an interview to determine you have a good business idea and the skills to make it work). So they are actually doing more for the working class and "unbanked" than Defi.
I agree that DeFi, in current form, isn't really anything about "banking the unbanked". That job still falls to something like an LN wallet and a supporting economy. It is the "crypto VCs", their close friends and the shill influencers who are getting most of the action. Yet, the concept has just begun to be applied. It cannot be denied that certain communities, not necessarily poor or unbanked, are finding use cases that directly increase their incomes.

I keep seeing these posts by artists on twitter expressing happiness when their art sells in the form of NFTs. The NFT platform just provides an outlet, they provide the original pieces too. When it comes to DeFi, the current scenario is mostly about making mad gains by betting on the next product which will provide an alternate to banking. They are far from replacing banks that can provide loans based on assessment of businesses and property and are dependent on crypto collateral. Yet, the opportunity to just find the next Compound or Uniswap is open to everyone. Poor Zimbabweans aren't gonna cut it but a fillipino and a vietnamese with an old Axie account can.

But nfts is not defi though:) And nft business is still highly centralized. Look at what opensea did censoring and delisting art they deemed was not original enough and yet allowing many other ripoff copies of cyberpunks to list.

I like nfts too but you know when the ones making millions and being the most headlines and selling at Cristies are famous rich artists anyway who sell art to millionaires, it's basically just fancy tech for existing scene. Not entirely true of course but all these projects popping up are really not helping the masses I believe.

If France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain don't win their next game, it's going to be panic all over!
Indeed!
France will face Ukraine which isn't a weak team and could secure a draw at least!
Italy vs Switzerland... Good luck!
Netherlands vs Montenegro is quite challenging imo
Spain vs Georgia shouldn't be a problem for Spain tho..

Good luck indeed I think, Ukraine showed in EURO they can take a beating and still score plenty of goals, which at the moment for some strange reason is France's problem.

Italy well, they still haven't lost for 35 games now? But another draw will create panic for them.

Spain is the only one I think has an easy win. Georgia couldn't even beat Kosovo.

4433  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin = 100k by December on: September 03, 2021, 03:15:40 PM
A few bag holder already booked their profit at $50k and bitcoin takes a little correction. Bitcoin dump from $50,000 to $48500 But the price quickly recovers also. It's also a good sign. Still, there are buyers in this zone so why Bitcoin price cant able to dump more. I strongly believe some more bag holders will take their profit at the $50k-$51 range. If Bitcoin clearly can able to break the $51,000 resistance it will be a sign of Long entry for Bitcoin traders. Right now, no position holding. Wil love to take a position if there is any clear breakout or breakdown.

I thought they would have done so already in May when it was 50k or even 60k, that's kind of why everything went down to 30k again, profit taking's temporary effect on the overall market.

50 to 48.5 isn't a dump either, I mean, it's barely 1.5%, every normal crypto market even in a bull run experiences way more volatility than that:)
4434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: September 03, 2021, 01:40:32 PM
All things are in a plan, perhaps? They did have plan to force Messi and Griezman out of the club. And I feel that they did not want to keep Messi while they can solve this situation better.

I wish I could believe this, that my club is so smart and so cunning that they planned it this way all along, that they knew exactly the reasons they didn't want Messi anymore but they didn't want to admit it so they devised something like this.

But I know my club better than that. They just have really big idiots at the board and in management, and accountants that didn't do their job well.
4435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin move to Proof of Stake? on: September 03, 2021, 11:47:23 AM
My bet on this is Bitcoin will never ever go to Proof-of-Stake consensus algorithm. It already has the superior and decentralized PoW. See how durable and impregnable the blockchain ledger is for the last 12 years? Still cannot be hacked, the security itself underlines the effectivity of PoW as very much strong and cannot be manipulated .

I'd bet on it too but the payout is probably peanuts. PoW has worked well for Bitcoin, nothing even comes close in terms of security, still the most important thing for anyone who wants to use Bitcoin to pay and keep value.

At the same time block rewards are still going to be very good at these prices even for the next 2 halvings so that is at least 8 years more if not 12 years with no issue.
4436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: September 03, 2021, 09:51:21 AM
Hopefully I didn't make a bet for Spain although the odds seemed to be good, there was "what if" warning sign that popped... Same Italy draw wasn't expected, France in yesterday's game too! In the other hand, England and Belgium did quite good job winning big away, I am not sure whether they will be sanctions against Hungary for their reckless supporters or not..

So basically other than the two semifinalists who met each other last in Euro, all the other big teams just couldn't play well enough to score. Chances were plenty but I think defence wins the day when teams are still trying to get into effect of league consistency.

If France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain don't win their next game, it's going to be panic all over!
4437  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Watford FC Main Sponsor - UFC Official Betting Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: September 03, 2021, 09:05:21 AM
Agree to that even it's over 0.1 it's still better and if you are betting huge amount for the fight that additional compensation will count. Stake is not just claiming it but they do the talk and with live events which you can watch it just like what notblox1 said, it's adding the fun since you are actually watching the fight for free.

Keep it up and enjoy your stay Cool Roll Eyes and better to watch out for more promotions as it really adding more excitement and value to your bets.

People always ignore how big 0.1 is but if you take that 10 times it becomes one whole stake. Everything adds up and especially in multileg bets, those 0.1 and 0.2 differences can really make a big difference.

And thanks too, yes, but timezones and work means I can almost never ever watch those fights:)
4438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: September 03, 2021, 07:42:04 AM
+ Europe was given almost half of the seats in the final, so I don't think there is still any discrimination now, after all, the disaffected countries should have started playing football 100 years earlier. I'm more worried about the lack of beer during and after matches, since alcohol is prohibited by law in Qatar, (this is the real problem).

Ah, yes, football is the big leveller of people and countries they say, at least but we need maybe 50 years more to catch up in Asia because of academies and lacking pitches and other things like athletes have no income after 30s:)

anyway, beer can be a real problem for some people who don't know how to get "high" without alcohol but I bet you, there will be ways to go around this in Qatar;)
4439  Economy / Economics / Re: The lending problem on: September 03, 2021, 07:04:01 AM
Unbanked people are unbanked, they are not reaching any banks at all, they do not have that chance, either bankrupted or in a town without a bank, many reasons could be causing them to be unbanked but in crypto all you have to do is have internet connection and defi could be banking you and even making you profit while you sleep. They are not the best at it, but what you get as banking in London is not what you get in Zimbabwe, so a guy in Zimbabwe using pancakeswap is much better than what they have there.

Why do I find like I keep having to repeat myself or that no one is actually reading what stompix or I said about the problem with defi?

1. No, internet connection is not the only thing you need to have. You also need actual crypto to put up as collateral. You all conveniently ignore this even though others and I specifically point it out.
2. How on earth can unbanked people who cannot reach banks suddenly have internet connection and knowledge of defi PLUS crypto to use Pancakeswap in Zimbabwe? Have you even taken a look at defi stats and see where their users come from and who they are? Unbanked Zimbabweans my ass.

Sorry my friend but you defi people are so, SO deluded. I don't mean to offend you but... it's quite ridiculous the things you believe for the sake of believing.

A result I did not expect, this is the third time I believe an international has gone over 21 points, and a group game too not even a massively onesided friendly. Seems we've been gettting a lot of high scores lately I wonder what's up with that? Early season energized teams?
