4421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin last till infinity on: April 22, 2021, 02:40:00 AM
Well, the cowries payment system didn't last forever before it was replaced by a more refined method in Fiat. This is the same way something more refined than cryptos will also kick in years from now to replace Bitcoin at al. In life, nothing lasts forever.

Government policy against cryptocurrency will probably encourage more investors to come to it.
Dissidents will always do anything to go against the government the same way the government takes sadistic pleasure controlling its people. Ban a thing, and that raises curiosity. That's what has given crypto this much popularity.

Most of the current secure cryptos each lack something that a new crypto could seek to resolve in each and in time we'll get to that point.
This is nothing short of the truth. For Bitcoin, the transaction fee and spend have messed the whole essence for which Satoshi created it.
4422  Other / Politics & Society / Re: MILITARY RULE IN NIGERIA on: April 21, 2021, 09:20:47 AM
OP, you make it sound like what Nigeria has now is better than a military regime. If anything, it's worse. The current president, Mohammadu Buhari, was there as a military head of state and doesn't pretend not to still be a dictator even as a civilian president today. If not for the flagrant abuse and disregard for human rights, I think the country was better under a military regime than what Nigeria has at the moment with all these corrupt politicians around.

4424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Low volume coins good for investment now? on: April 18, 2021, 10:55:17 PM
Can a coin with very low 24hrs volume still brings profit? For example zclassic, the volume isn't even up to 20k in 24hrs, is it worth the risk or it's a big no for you? What do you think about this?
It's a 50-50 thing and I like to fancy my chances on that, especially if there is utility and the price is low at the time of wanting to buy in. In the case of the sample token, Zclassic, I think it's a great buy. Even though it's currently trading at less than $0.35. You have to remember that it once did $230 at ATH in 2018 and may repeat such feat during another bull run. By the way, that token is even a fork of Zcash which is also not doing badly in the market ATM.

If any investment had to consider this coin on the longterm and does not check the ATH price and present price in the market, community and exchanges, research the roadmap and how well the team is committing to the project he might wake up one day and all the coin delisted from all the exchanges, which could mean a big loss. Some coins are spending the last lap in this cycle and will be gone by the next bear.
How many buyers want to spend that time to do this thorough research before buying. Most buyers are impatient going through all that rigors. They just want to trigger a trade and be done with it.
4425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk stop messing up the crypto market on: April 18, 2021, 07:16:48 PM
Am I the only one who finds his tweets and market manipulation annoying?
Well, may be you're just one among the handful of people watching market movement who aren't happy with Elon tweeting about certain cryptos. The reason is simple and not far fetched — It's simply because you don't have the coins — Bitcoin and Dogecoin, that Elon Musk is promoting. Those who've those coins are pleased with him. By the way, Elon hasn't done anything wrong or could be termed manipulative by tweeting about those coins. Except someone is going to prove to me that it's now a crime being wealthy. For all I know, Elon is first a human being before being the world's richest man. He is entitled to his opinion and should be free to made choices without anyone preempting him.
4426  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin almost made me rich on: April 18, 2021, 05:52:53 PM
Then my dream was to keep my Bitcoin for at least 1 years for it to appreciate more before selling it so I could be as rich compared to my local government chair lol. My dream!
Chairmo, I hail thee!

Converting this money to my country currency makes me a millionaire.
That would be Naija, right?

On a more serious note, I hope you recover your Bitcoin by following the suggestions of SquirrelJulietGarden. The email thing should give you a good lead in that regard. However, I hope others learn a thing or two from your sad story not to delete wallet app without copying out vital data, no matter how angry one is. On the flip side, I believe you must've acquired the set skills for trading now.
4427  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why risk management is so important for Every Trader. on: April 18, 2021, 02:54:19 PM
Besides, beyond all that the OP has stated in respect to risk control and money management is the issue of "Patience" and "Emotional control". I will go with the trader with a 1/5 risk to reward ratio even though the win rate is small. What that means is the trader will tend to be more selective of trades to execute and not just be in every trade. The problem with most traders is they want to be seen trading at all times even when there isn't any trade set up ready. That isn't how trading works. One has to choose one's trades and pick those with high winning rate.

Cryotp Trading is not a Hassle free business, this is very risky business for new people, and nobody can make good amount from crypto currency without any Risk.
This is why there's always a caveat to every form of trading on the trading/exchange sites that one could lose one's capital. Again, crypto trading is highly volatile and shouldn't be indulged by anyone who doesn't have the set skills for it.
4428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1 Million BNB Burnt today on: April 17, 2021, 04:43:24 PM
The burn is already done? Why is the price keeps dropping then?
It goes to show that a lot of sells going on in the crypto space are done ignorantly on bandwagon effect. Investors sell because others are selling.
Otherwise, how does one explain the fact that burning of a coin just happened and people are selling off when they're supposed to keep hodling their coins in expectation that a surge will definitely happen?

Truth is that most investors don't go through the fundamentals to find out what is in the news. All they do is watch the reaction of others to price and follow their lead sheepishly. Whenever they find out that price is dumping, they panic and sell off without knowing why others are selling in the first place. Veteran investors will buy BNB on this news of burnt coins because sooner or later the effect will reflect on the price of BNB. This won't go beyond next week before price shoots up again. Who knows, we may see $1,000 with this next rally coming up.
4429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Doegecoin As a Joke? on: April 17, 2021, 03:38:51 PM
In my opinion, a doge coin is very easy to pump at any time that's why this altcoin is considered joke
Really? Easy to pump, did you actually mean that about a coin that has an infinite supply with already over 129 billion in circulation? How possible can that be easy to pump if it doesn't have the backing of the Doge community? Elon Musk only makes tweets about Dogecoin and then fans of Dogecoin buy in with the community shilling it further. So, you wouldn't be right to say it's easy to pump Dogecoin like a few individuals can influence it. That will take a hell of cash to make the price move more than a few digits. It's just a coincidence that Elon likes Dogecoin and tweets occasionally about it. We don't know if he actually has any unit of it or he's just shilling it without buying. I believe the market will be on frenzy once Elon makes a public declaration of his doge purchase like he did of Bitcoin. We just wait for that and that's when the real FOMO for Dogecoin will start.
4430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10 Best Cryptocurrencies To Invest in for 2021 on: April 17, 2021, 05:04:24 AM
So you mean that it's great to invest (amongst others) in Tether?! Really??!
That's a coin pegged to US dollar.
I believe the article merely included it as a safe Haven for cryptos. Yes, USDT may not turn in ROI like most other cryptos do but we surely can't rule out its importance to the industry. While we may not really call it an investment into USDT, we have to admit we also make use of it to save our assets from time to time during a crash. Sincerely, I'm actually surprised Dogecoin isn't mentioned among the top 10 on the list. Is that writer anti-doge or what? We can't take away the great run Dogecoin has been having since Elon Musk made it a darling.
4431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will XDN be the Next DOGE ?? on: April 16, 2021, 06:18:28 PM
It's good to have a token being compared to Dogecoin now. In the most recent past it wasn't so. This goes a long way in showing that no one truly likes associating with failure. Everyone likes success! I bet, not even XRP would be standing in comparison with Dogecoin if not for the infinite Doge supply. Already there are over 129 billion Dogecoin in circulation and price is still pulling up nicely despite that.

I agree with you ,but if you compare the Circulating supply.

Doge coin : more than 174 B
XDN : 5 B
The data from Coingecko site puts Doge circulating supply at 129,210,007,256 as at today, April 16,2021. Your figure, therefore, is way above the real figure.
4432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nigeria's SEC says central bank's crypto ban disrupted the market on: April 16, 2021, 02:48:28 PM
Of course, the loss was expected; only that the inept Godwin Emefiele and his CBN led institution didn't see what the common crypto trader saw sitting down. The CBN thought it could cage those indulging in crypto trade as a way of destabilizing funds from getting to agitators of the Buhari led administration during the #endsars demonstration and all that but it didn't realize that Bitcoin is a global phenomenon. No single government can disrupt it. When China tried it in 2017, the Chinese government knew how much it lost. The Nigerian government is yet to even ascertain how much it will finally lose because of that thoughtless action of the CBN. It's the same way now that Emefiele is also strangulating the transfer of Naira from Nigerians abroad to their dependent relations back home. It's crazy. Money transfer has become a big issue in Nigeria under Godwin Emefiele and the Buhari led administration. Soon, the government will also count losses arising from that too.
4433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Love the bad news on: April 16, 2021, 11:54:25 AM
“Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful”

― Warren Buffett
The irony of the quote is that Mr Buffet even forgot to apply his principle on Bitcoin and bought it big a decade ago when most people were scared and called it a bubble 🤷. It goes to show that even doctors don't like taking their own prescription.

Buying during panic sale is what defines sensible risk and unnecessary risk. Sometimes one may be buying into a total dump where project teams are exiting (unnecessary risk), thinking it's a correction or the act of weak hands (sensible risk). Whether hacks or not, tokens will always pass through price crash from time to time and it's never an easy decision buying during a crash in price because you may never know why the crash. That's why it's VERY important yo DYOR before buying any token.
4434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt season NOw on: April 16, 2021, 07:05:57 AM

What's important is BTC going up while most altcoins are also going up.

This is another aspect to this time of altcoins bull speculation. Bitcoin is still on the rise and that keeps bringing doubt if we are in the alt bull because while bitcoin dropped in 2018 some altcoins grew faster. I'm expecting bull for the shit coins to know the altcoin has taken over.
As long as Bitcoin continues to surge, it's an indication that the alts season is not yet come. For alts season to begin, Bitcoin has to slow down. But this isn't so yet. However, from the technical perspective Bitcoin seems to be losing ground as its dominance in the market cap against other cryptos is dropping. This is where it gets complicated because one would expect that since dominance is dropping, the price should also drop. My eyes are on the dominance as well as the price of Bitcoin to ascertain when its bull run is ending. It's only when Bitcoin rally ends will alts rally begin. And for now, that's not clear.
4435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ultimately long time holders are enjoying the real BEAUTY! on: April 15, 2021, 03:39:19 PM
Obviously I must say that it is a real money printer.
Don't rush to conclusion on that about easy profit. Though the trend is up. We're in a bull market (and a bull year) and almost every crypto is having a good run. This isn't taking anything away from BNB as a great coin it's proving to be. Just buying and hodling any crypto this year is sure to guarantee anyone a profit. Nevertheless, what is not certain is when this bull run will end and who and who will be getting trapped. Of course, there are going to be those who will buy the top and catch falling knives. However, BNB will continue to surge in price because of CZ's innovations and the smart contract already introduced to the BNB platform.
4436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: altcoin hold and airdrop on: April 15, 2021, 01:15:24 PM
OP, sometimes you get a token airdropped to you for hodling another token. That happens but it will depend on a pre-agreement between the dev parties. I once received GHOST for hodling ESH token in my private wallet on a 1:1 ratio. That was an agreement between Josh (the head of the ESH team) and the GHOST team. That airdrop was worth something then before the project was later abandoned. A few months later I also received another token called "Whackd" for hodling same ESH. Sadly, the Whackd token seems to be worthless as it is yet to be listed on any exchange till date. A few months ago, Binance customers were airdropped TWT. I got 100 TWT just for being registered on the Binance exchange. I believe a lot of people got that too.
4437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB will remain valuable for a long time on: April 15, 2021, 09:09:12 AM
i think it is worth noting that a lot of users dont care much for how decentralized  a coin or token is, they just want the solutions they it offers.
I'm one of the few who don't give a hoot about the decentralized appellation of the ETH ERC. What does it benefit a trader if a coin is decentralized and then expensive to transact with? Nothing, definitely! I have learnt to buy only BSC compliant tokens on DApps because there isn't any stress buying with that and fees are almost like nothing. This latest development, no doubt, is what has further propelled BNB to the surge it's witnessing now. This patronage for BNB won't albeit anytime soon, except the exploitation in ETH on gas fee subsides.
4438  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin ATH - those responsible. on: April 14, 2021, 10:49:17 PM
Don't blame those who short Bitcoin or any other cryptos. At some point we must find it necessary to sell. That's the basic principle of trading — buying and selling. Even you, OP, at some point you must come down from your high horse and sell. Without selling, there won't be liquidity in the market. That was how the history of the 10,000btc for pizza record was made too. Buyers and sellers both add to the progress of any project. If everyone decides to hodl to infinity, Bitcoin won't get to where it's today.
4439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what way to take profit ? on: April 14, 2021, 05:24:28 PM
hello guys
I have a question :

What methods are there for take profit ?

in my opinion this method is good :

1. buy ipo/ico
2. buy coins and token before token burning
3. buy top volume coins
4. buy bitcoin befor halving

whats your opinion ?
For me, numbers 2 & 4 are top notch for good investment strategy. I will never go close to number 1. I learnt several bitter lessons buying ICOs in 2017/18 when ICOs were the talk of the town as most of them exited softly after listing and a lot more never got to any exchange for listing.

As for taking profit strategy, that would depend on your risk appetite. Don't place your TP level based on your expectations from a project to meet up financial obligations with an expected payout. Doing that would be irrational and most times you don't get to hit that target. Just be moderate and go for may be X10%, or X20 or x50%. If you get more, count it a blessing.
