that's my first one word post tho, don't go thinking that I spam one words all the time  Tongue
Just have a decent record and intention when you post and this campaign pays per their word. Been here before and it's a very reliable outfit, just found a better payout affiliate yet I would come back if this one fell through or they discontinued. This one you're discussing is always prompt and pays in full.
4442  Economy / Speculation / Re: Was it ever this hard to hold? on: January 05, 2015, 03:31:04 AM
there's got to be some kind of incentive to make the switch

Right now merchants dip their toes in bitcoin because 1) it's easy to setup 2) they get their USD faster and 3) they save on credit card fees. Once they have used it a while and gotten at least a little bit comfortable with it (assuming that does in fact happen), they will start to pass the incentives onto consumers. Some merchants will do that quickly, others will take years.
Yep, if they want more of this sort of business then offering these incentives is a great way to urge that sector of their model to grow. That's when the super savers shopping effect will take hold in newer users and potential users' minds.
4443  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm buying and HODLING!!! on: January 05, 2015, 02:41:31 AM
Nice little rebound off the low and back to where we were at day break. Nobody knows if it will hold but I bought another token coin at one of the base points for support purposes and will likely do that if this happens again. Still have a decent amount of fiat to catch another knife and/or buy up the latter when things take off at some point down the line. That's the wonderful thing about only buying what you can afford to have devalued. This way, you're never in a position to have to sell nor feel much despair. If this is your first time to the rodeo, play things smart and take note that these are epic buying opportunities in this range.

As long as these govts have state-sponsored media or that which is owned by and large by a govt-media-banker-military industrial complex outfit, the super-majority of the citizens will get their "news" by these outlets and will have a skewed view of reality or directed in different directions at the time when the real problems are unfolding.
4445  Other / Politics & Society / USA - Conservative Opposition to GOP House Speaker John Boehner Mounts on: January 05, 2015, 01:26:13 AM
Quote
Washington (CNN)At least two conservative hard-liners are now offering themselves up as candidates to unseat House Speaker John Boehner.

Rep. Ted Yoho, R-Florida, said this weekend that he won't support Boehner as speaker when lawmakers vote Tuesday, and offered himself up as an alternative. Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, did the same thing on Fox News' "Fox and Friends Sunday."

"Well, we have heard from a lot of Republicans that, 'Gee, I would vote for somebody besides Speaker Boehner but nobody will put their name out there as running so there's nobody else to vote for,'" Gohmert said.

"Well that changed yesterday when my friend Ted Yoho said 'I'm putting my name out there. I'll be a candidate for speaker,'" he said. "And I'm putting my name out there also, today, to be another candidate for speaker. All people are welcome, unlike what some of the establishment people are saying."

His comments come as conservatives simmer over a 10-month government funding measure that both Boehner and President Barack Obama backed in December. Conservatives saw that measure -- in the wake of the GOP's major midterm election victories -- as the time to fight Obama on health care reform, his immigration executive action and more.

Gohmert's move comes after another Republican, Rep. Jim Bridenstine of Oklahoma, said that he'll be voting against Boehner as well. Bridenstine said Sunday that both Yoho and Gohmert are good alternatives.

"In my opinion, this vote is between continuing the status quo or moving in a new direction," Bridenstine said in a statement. "Members of Congress now have two good choices, neither one including a vote for the status quo."

http://www.cnn.com/2015/01/04/politics/gohmert-and-yoho-challenge-boehner/

This is where the new members of the GOP conference in the House can make themselves useful in reshaping the GOP brand  and not letting the status quo of the right do business as usual.

Challenges Loom for Rand Paul as He Speeds Toward 2016

Quote
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Rand Paul may only yet be a candidate for re-election to the Senate in 2016, but the first-term Kentucky Republican already is sprinting toward the race for president.

The libertarian-minded lawmaker is set to visit several Western states this month before reintroducing himself to voters in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, and his team is working to strengthen his political network in nearly every state.

At the same time, he is readying for a leading role in the GOP's new Senate majority while pushing to improve a Republican brand he says is "tattered."

Aides insist that Paul has not finalized his decision about the White House, but his aggressive steps leave little doubt about his ambitions.

"Everything's being prepared as if it's happening, with the knowledge that the final trigger hasn't been pulled yet," said Paul senior aide Doug Stafford.

Some see the son of former Texas Rep. Ron Paul, a two-time presidential candidate, as a transformational figure capable of expanding the GOP's appeal beyond its traditional base of older, white men.

While calling for a dramatic reduction in the size and scope of the federal government, the 51-year-old Paul plays down social issues such as gay marriage, criticizes a criminal justice system that overwhelmingly incarcerates blacks, and favors a smaller U.S. footprint in the world.

Rand Paul should expect challenges every step of the way.

4447  Economy / Speculation / Re: More Bitcoin adoption = lower Bitcoin/Usd rate! on: January 05, 2015, 01:06:00 AM
I wrote this early 2014 and I think it is still relevant. The more adoption we see the lower Bitcoin/Usd will go!

http://razorsforex.blogspot.com/2014/02/bitcoin-adoption-bitcoin-price-stability.html

I think that the more Bitcoin will be adopted, the bigger the price should be because Demand will increase.

There is no reason for the demand to increase unless the merchants provide discount enough for the customers to try and get Bitcoins. Usually, fiat works as well for the customer to buy their products.
This is what I've been saying for quite a while now (ever since all this news about big merchants accepting bitcoin became a semi-regular thing). I would've thought that Bitpay was orchestrating their pitch to companies willing to accept bitcoin and that they'd get even more business from bitcoin users providing they allow the protocol's advantages to allow for discounts to be offered by these businesses. Then, the end result would be better for the bitcoin price as demand would be a reoccurring thing in the overall market and make bitcoin a steady and demanded payment mechanism. Even w/ ATMs popping up there's really no incentive for anyone new to want to use them unless there's a sign at the businesses' payment counter incentivizing people to pay w/ it for a ~10% discount or so.
4448  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BitcoinMiningComparison.com on: January 05, 2015, 12:44:08 AM
To all new(er)comers, be vary wary of pre-orders especially from companies with no track record of fulfilling delivery promises. If you want bitcoins, just buy them straight up and lock em down in your wallet(s). I'd be so much farther ahead if I could go back a year and a half and take this advice.  Wink
4449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: future of Bitcoin for 2015 mentioned in Fox News article on: January 05, 2015, 12:10:28 AM
Nobody watches Fox Business much less read their back benchers website for any meaningful commentary on anything. This writer is just someone that is hoping to go brash on something that seems to be down and out yet not knowing shit outside of the surface level. He'll be another disgraced nit wit when the champagne bottles start popping coming up here at some point.
4450  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin is dropping and why you should be buying. on: January 04, 2015, 11:26:23 PM
The question is: what are the impacts of a crash of the global finance system on the Bitcoin? Do you think that people would escape their savings in the Bitcoin ("the digital gold")?
If a global crash does occur, I don't think people would like to put in their money into a more volatile digital currency, where they could lost more than 60% of their holdings .
Just Quoting my brother here .

I was talking to a friend about digital currencies today and he said I don't believe in digital currency is just made up out of thin air and said he only wants cold hard cash he can hold in his hands. Then he preceded to pay with his meal with a credit card....
That's pretty much the mindset of most people these days especially those that can't comprehend the usd not being the kingmaker. The US gov will do whatever is needed to kick the can down the road and do the money magician tactics necessary to keep things afloat. That said, the smart money will return w/ a vengeance at some point and things will take off in bitcoinland irrespective of the usd money.gov game. This will make the average person want to bite at it but the main thing that will make the average person actually want to use it is by getting discounts for purchases and I just wonder how far out this is from being a ubiquitous scenario.  Smiley
4451  Economy / Securities / Re: Klyemax Studios IPO on: January 02, 2015, 07:26:20 PM
If KYLE owes you money then you need to post a signed message with the address you want the funds to returned to.

This is how I understand it anyways.
Well, after he posted his screed on how bad he fucked up and how bad he felt about it, he allegedly was going to get a job and start paying back. He made one initial payment to the lot and then vanished, never to return again like in Usual Suspects. This case is closed for good.

Just Asking: Rand Paul on why helping people see again is easier than politics

Quote
Rand Paul, 51, is a Republican senator from Kentucky. He is often mentioned as a potential presidential candidate for 2016.

I’m not going to ask you if you’re going to run for president.

Good.

I’ll let the pros handle that question. Do you think most Americans have a good sense of who you are?

Most Americans have a vague notion of who different politicians are. People who live in your state who have met you and interacted with you probably have a little more understanding of who you are. We do get a general understanding seeing people on television. The longer the interview, the more detailed, the better chance people have of knowing who you are.

Time magazine called you one of the 100 most influential people in the world. Is Time right?
That’s a difficult question for someone to answer about themselves. That’s somebody else assessing it, so it would be presumptuous to say, “Hey, I’m the most interesting person in Washington.” Self-analysis or talking about yourself is a difficult thing to accomplish with any sense of decency about it.

What do you miss most about being a full-time ophthalmologist?
The interaction with folks and seeing the smile on someone’s face as they sit up and say, “I can see again.” I was able to revisit some of that in Guatemala over the summer, and it truly is priceless. It’s also: You have a problem, you diagnose it and you fix it. Whereas in politics we’re still debating half the time over what the problem is. We can’t even agree on the problem, much less the solution.

Everybody runs against Washington. What do you really like about Washington?
Of the things in the Senate that probably excite me more than anything else, it’s engaging in a debate over where power should reside and over the restraint of power. I’m able to stand up on the floor and ask a question. Does the president have the ability to drone an American citizen not involved in combat? Does the president have the right to incarcerate someone forever without an attorney? Discussing and trying to defend the liberties enshrined in the Bill of Rights and knowing that I can stand on the same floor as Henry Clay or Daniel Webster or discuss the same issues that James Madison discussed, and Thomas Jefferson, to me that’s sort of phenomenal for a guy who, four years ago, was a small-town physician.

Who is more of an establishment Republican, you or Ted Cruz?
I don’t think it’s really my role to figure stuff like that out.

Is there anyone your dad would vote for over you in a presidential election?
That one I think I can answer. No.

4454  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-12-31] CD: Venture Capital Funding for Bitcoin Startups Triples in 2014 on: January 01, 2015, 07:07:48 PM
There's no doubt that a solid base was formed in 2014 via VC money which will likely expand on into the future. These startups will be the lifeblood of the BTC ecosystem allowing for easier use by the masses or at least some % of them.
4455  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-01-01]CryptoArticles - Bitcoin marketing in 2015 Should Focus on Consumers on: January 01, 2015, 07:04:56 PM
However, the main issue with Bitcoin still remains, ever after all these years : the concept is too technical for most people to comprehend properly, and that issue needs to be addressed sooner rather than later.

I don't think this is really true, though I can see how it may be off putting or daunting to new users. You can keep your money on your phone app and it's no different to using Paypal or online banking.
Try and start explaining Bitcoin and its peer-peer/mostly decentralized open source protocol and how the blockchain keeps/stores info and releases Bitcoins through the mining process and see if the target's eyes don't glaze over. The average person wants info fast and easy to understand and not having to strain themselves to "get'' something. The biggest thing for the Bitcoin sphere is to get people to use it w/o knowing the details and/or bribing them to use because the products they want will be sold at a nice discount having used BTC. The former + the latter = moonshot. Tongue

My heart goes out to those that likely preordered asic machines and then sat and waited to get their shit all the while the difficulty was ballooning and their roi became less likely. If miners aren't in stock and ready to be at your doorstep w/i a week's time, forget it.
4458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help me find a way to contribute to the community on: December 31, 2014, 07:28:23 PM
The best way the average person can contribute to the Bitcoin ecosystem is to buy some and either hold them or start buying/spending them on a reoccurring basis. Drive demand and push the bear sentiment out for good and let the good times roll. Wink

4460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: December 31, 2014, 12:09:49 AM
The Roaring Twenties will return for those that have stuck out the great depression of 2014 and had the stomach to have trust in the blockchain and all that it will offer to those that believed in it. There's so many people who've heard and saw what they saw in regards to Bitcoin and probably want nothing to do with it. There'll be a lucky bunch that have sat through the turmoil of the last year and learned everything they could about what the future will hold, all the while being constantly reminded of the ever diminishing BTC price. The flash in the pans, much like the general public, will be locked out of the price recovery as they won't hear about or see the rebound until it's panic buying time. And, that's if they're positioned correctly to be able to buy back in. Many people are living hand to mouth or paycheck to paycheck and won't have even a modest stake to be able to get much of a spin on their money when the time comes. Those who've held, accumulated or have their fiat at the ready for purchase are those that will be the biggest winners if one is keeping an eye on the BTC price going up.
