use high rag content bond paper. print on a laser printer. seal in multiple layers of baggies or seal in plastic laminate.
Wow. I thing you are talking about this one --- http://www.lcipaper.com/digital-print-cotton-paper.htmlThis is a better idea IMHO for those who do not feel safe on emails. Maybe I will try it later. thats a bit overkill methinks do a search for 20 pound watermarked paper, that should find some quality stuff. its what I use. get it at any office supply place.

I have tried using many paper wallets but they all got damaged in no time.

I was at your asicpuppy site to order a rpi. it lists 55.00 cut to 29.99. I registered and went to the final step of the checkout process and the price stayed at 55.00. is there a code or something?
also is it a rpi B or B+? its not entirely clear to me on the site.

Mycelium has what is called "Cold Storage Spending" last time i scanned a QR code from a paper wallet and i do this a lot, it comes up asking how much to transfer. I just always select "max" and hit send.
I have often wondered what would happen if i didn't send all the funds having no change address but never wanted to try it.
I kinda gathered it would send change back to the paper wallet addy but I want to clean it out. once that paper wallets private key has been used its useless to me for storage anymore. I have tested some of my BIP38 paper wallets before but this will be a 1st on my phone.

thanks guys.
should of made some small amount paper wallets for testing new ways to redeem then instead of just ones with larger amounts.
Ill make a bunch of smaller paper wallets so in the future I can just experiment and not worry about getting that sinking feeling of "uh oh" if something goes into the weeds.

Im sure this is answered somewhere but my search-foo must suck..
I just installed Mycelium 2.5.9 onto my note 4. I have BIP38 encrypted paper wallets. what I would like to do is transfer the whole balance from one of these paper wallets to Mycelium, and from there most (or all) to my main hot wallet.
so do I just select Cold Storage Spending, scan the QR code, enter the password, and enter an addy to send it to? or does it just import it into Mycelium. where does change go if its not the whole amount? I rather not keep that paper wallet addy with anything in it, Id just make a new one.
sorry for noob questions, Ive only run the official core wallet with a full node on my desktop.

what are you guys running your sticks on? laptop raspberry etc??
I run my 2 passively cooled on an HTPC in the living room thats on 24/7/365 so they are silent and only an additional 5 or 6 watts. later will run them (+ pods) with a fan in the basement on my 24/7/365 freenas server.

i would think there would always be utilities that would export keys from old wallets to whatever current format there is.
might be a good idea to collect a bunch of utils. and a few rpis or something with various adapters to run them on.

maybe an option for sending btc or to buy credits. i can see this being used by folks new to bitcoin and they would need an easy way to do it. they wouldnt know how to buy, store, send etc btc.

heh yup. humans are the weak link real pity though about Gerald Davis.. he was one person here I listened to and would read any post here by him. you could count on it being well thought out, informed and best for the BTC community... ...well until the end. really want to hear his side of this story
