Could you explain mining in details please?

Just like mining for gold with picks and shovels, bitcoins, too, are mined similarly but with computers. The first person who finds the next block is awarded the prize of currently 12.5 bitcoins. There will only be 20M bitcoins mined, after which a new Bitcoin will be created by our grandchildren.

Solo mining is very hard now so it's best to join a pool consisting of other hard miners.

No problem. I'll take care of the MD5 Hash aspect and PM thermos that you need 8 BTC toward your education. I'll send you 1 BTC as soon as it's release from Doge explorer tomorrow after the next Hard Fork or taken from some dormant user account.

Here's to hopin' you get a good education.

Bruno

I love the wew!

How would you explain to 10/12 yo child what Bitcoin is?

Bitcoin is a payment processing thingy used to send moneys on the wew.
4444  Other / Meta / Re: theymos is gonna kill me! - - REDUX on: November 22, 2016, 07:13:22 PM
deep... went silent but still online, so I had to send him another PM:

Quote
Dude, we missed the Doge Hard Fork since you didn't confirm the MD5 Hash. Meanwhile, did you ask thermos for 7 or 8 bitcoins instead of only 5 since he's so rich? At the moment my 1 BTC is still stuck at Doge. Luckily, I know the mods there and can easily get it back even if it means taking it from some dormant account like it's been done so many times before.

Please confirm the MD5 Hash so to be ready for the next Hard Fork tomorrow. Perhaps, you may not even need my 1 BTC if thermos gives you 7 or 8 BTC.

PS: thermos may be taking a nap now in his cabin in Canada due to ice fishing all morning, but rest assured that he'll be awake later today.

I literally spat out my nutella while reading this post.Jeez, you're an evil bruno! Tongue

I also purposely [later] misspelled theymos as thermos. "pen" was first a mistake caught later, so I opted to continue the misspelled usage. All in the name of giving the poor dude an education.  Grin

Congratulations, Sir. To us newcomers, what advice would you offer? Also, could you explain the cause for rise and fall in BTC according to your views?

Thanks, bud. Yes I can answer that question. The reason for the rise and fall of BTC is due to cause and effect, coupled with rogue entities gaming the system mostly in the exchanges, but mostly due to cause and effect and the gaming of the system. Hope that explains it, bud. Any more questions needing answered by this Bitcoin Guru?

Thank you, sire. Could you give a brief explanation of what "Blocks" are?

Blocks are the glue that hold the Bitcoin protocol together. Of course, not real glue - just a figure of speech. Soon, that 'glue' will be soften so that Bitcoin Blocks can easily adhere to ALL altcoin blocks.

Ask me another, for I'm the Bitcoin Guru.

bro i need money for my education purpose if u help me plz send me this address
12VtpPwHgXpAfEvg9JFhLo8PgrBxTXXtic

WHAT THE FUCK! Why you delete the thread after I sent you the money. I want my money back.

i m telling the truth i didnt deleted ... automatic deleted...
& i didnt get ur amount...

What do you mean that you didn't get the money. Did you double-check the DogeCoin explorer to make sure it's not being held up? Did you sign the wallet correctly when you first created it? Newbies sometimes make that mistake. Call the Doge Mods and let them know that you have a problem. Make sure to give them your address and also give them a new address just in case they found the problem right away and opt to transfer the coins to a new address otherwise you'll have to wait 48 hours. Trust me on this one. So many people make this mistake. Oh, the last 5 digits of your original address is your pin number. There is no way you can change that. It's good for any wallet you ever create. Unfortunately, that's how the NSA tracks people. That's why Satoshi left the crypt world after Gavin inserted the code after meeting with the CIA. There's an 8,000+ page thread on this forum if you're seeking light reading on the subject. It's a great education.

Bruno

I m using [Suspicious link removed]
not a dogecoin.. i m using btc...

send me TXID no.. i ll check it

OMG! I see what I did wrong. I logged into the wrong explorer. Okay, let me get the 1 BTC back before I send you another. Meanwhile, I'll have thermos send you the other 5 BTC as promised. You should have it later today plus interest. Plus, I'll have the Bees Brothers send you some honey treats.

Bruno

k....

Good news! I just spoke with thermos and he'll do it as soon as when he gets back to his cabin from ice fishing up in Canada. Meanwhile, I spoke with the mods over at Doge and they are already to do a Hard Fork as soon as I get your pen number for the address you sent me. Please give me your pen number ASAP so that hard fork can happen today.

Bruno

i didnt get u.. i dont have any pen number asap...
i have bitcoins address...

No problem. Like I said before the last five digits of your address is you pen number. Now, I have your pen number but you have to formally give it me so that I can give it to the Doge mods. It's for your protection, of course. PM me your pen so that the Doge mods can see that I did indeed get it from you and not simply gleaned the pen like nefarious actors do. Oh, and capitalize the first letter if it's not already. That's called two-factor ID thingy, an extra layer of protection that thermos and Satoshi put in for security after Gaven went to the CIA and turned the chairs on the whole ball of wax.

Hoo kk kk..
this is my bitcoin address
12VtpPwHgXpAfEvg9JFhLo8PgrBxTXXtic

this is my pen number
XXtic

Okay, that's great. Since X was already capitalized, I took the liberty to convert the 5-digit string to an MD5 hash so you don't have to: de8e6ed0974e58175d0816c5d666416e

Doge is gonna hard fork in less than thirty minutes, so please confirm the hash ASAP. Confirm means that you approve, but you can check the results for yourself here: http://md5.gromweb.com/?string=XXtic

Also, thermos just PM'ed me and is back at the cabin now. He wants to know if 5 BTC is enough for your education. If I were you, I would up it to 7 or 8 BTC since he has so many bitcoins.

but isn't Bitcoin from 2009?

Huh

I was thinking exactly the same thing!
Maybe he wanted to say he was here since the beginning...

He created the Creator! Mhmm... this reminds me something...  Huh

I was part of Bitcoin Alpha in 2008, testing the protocol prior to the release of Bitcoin Beta than Bitcoin Gamma. Sadly, there wasn't too much testing to do because Satoshi's code was perfect for the times, only later needing modifications.

I helped shaped the way for all those few who later joined in the venture in 2009 prior to the outbreak of 2010.

Congratz, maybe go out and buy something nice for yourself in bitcoin? Smiley

I think I'll have a t-shirt made with the words I've Been a Bitcoiner Since 2008 written on its front.

Yes, it's true! On this date 8 years ago I became a Bitcoiner, mining, trading and hoarding bitcoins. Damn, it seems like only yesterday. Funny how time flies by so quickly. No, I wasn't using this account back then. I had a different one, but the proof is all documented for any of you naysayers to see.

Here's to another 8 years of being a Bitcoiner.

Bruno

It's only been 8 years? feels like longer

I feel like there's also been more than just 1 alt coin before bitcoin

Does anyone know the coins before this BTC??

Yes, the big one prior to Bitcoin was BrightCoin, but its creator was arrested. That's why Satoshi Nakamoto never gave up his ID and went into hiding when Gavin Andressen turned over his vitals to the CIA.

Ask me anything. I know everything pertaining to Bitcoin since I've been here since 2008. I even know theymos' cat's name, but swore to him over dinner back in 2009 that I wouldn't tell anybody.

See ! Definitive proof the Earth is flat. Timed exposure of a satellite launch, and clearly it's entering a parabolic arc because it's hitting the top of the dome.

Silly researchers. Don't they know this is just going to crash into the ice wall ?!

I see synchronized parallel rods guiding the rocket.

Then this is a complete failure. Currently its being traded at like 20 times below the ICO price, and the trade volume + buy orders are mind boggling. Smiley

People who ar investing to these ICO should first make due diligence, not because they are showing their profile we are trusting them Ico has become a legit way to scam others for some devs.

Thanks for the lesson...

Here's all the due diligence they needed so to keep their moneys in their pockets:

Retard Investor: Should I offer to give some money to Bruno for his efforts in warning me about these nefarious fucks or should I roll the dice and invest into the latest scheme by these nefarious fucks? Bruno, I opted to roll the dice, ergo you lost. Speaking of loosing, can anybody in this wonderful community help me get my money back from these nefarious fucks?

This wonderful post was brought to you by a dude who has yet to accept any moneys for my efforts, and is on verifiable record in turning down all requests for a bitcoin wallet address from me publicly and privately, albeit that's not to say that some have found creative ways to perhaps pay me for my efforts anonymously, thus no way of knowing who they are or for what reasons [undisclosed (under a million dollars  Cool)] funds were indirectly sent my way.

Excellent addition to Crypto-city designed to teach newbies about cryptocurrency and advance the cause. It was kind of you, Chantha Owen Lueung, to add the selection to the-ready-to-teach-you-about-crypto growing list which includes the following four videos, all embedded by none other than yourself: https://www.crypto-city.com/index.php/v/

Have I mentioned lately that Owen is considered the genius of Yonkers with his solar-powered duckweed pond behind his duplex, stocked with fish that's able to feed a family of four for a year? Rumor has it that Chantha Owen Lueung is a household name in his Yonkers neighborhood. HAHAHA & Chuckles

Anyone have info on this coin ?  Crowdfunding is ending on Bittrex tomorrow .
https://www.bittrex.com/Crowdfund/EBST

Website does not really have much info :
http://www.eboost.gg/
Social media links on the website are no good .

Trying to get more info, would love to hear if anyone else knows about this coin or the developers .

https://www.bittrex.com/Crowdfund/EBST

And it's gone, just like eBoost's investor's money now spent on fancy cars and trips to China. Read my post if you're not up to speed: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1630351.msg16939727#msg16939727

From the desk of Crypto-city will soon be a household name: https://www.crypto-city.com/index.php/groups/?s=1&sort=latest&show=15

I count 9 groups, with RateCoin being the only sponsor for over seven months now, and StakeMiners enjoying the most members at 11 count, three of which are Chantha Owen Lueung, Leroy Fodor and Michael Zinck.

To be fair, as soon as Crypto-city adds more members to its already 74K+ user base, them counts are sure to rise, as well as C-c's Facebook page garnering its second Like, still stuck at 1 Like since Owen gave it to himself back in January 2016. HAHAHA & Chuckles
