Literally perfect start by PSG to the season. It was just a wonderful performance from them that it helped them finish Clermont by 5-0 at the end. Messi and Neymar were just incredibly awesome. Neymar got one goal and three assists while Messi was scoring two goals and making an assist as well. I know of course that the opponent was much weaker than them but this kind of games and performances help the players motivate themselves more to play better and better as time goes on. This is crucial for the Champions League in the end.

Besiktas' victory against Kayserispor was a really hard-fought one. There were two red cards and Besiktas' winning goal came in the last moments of the stoppage time. It was one of the classic Super League games in short. It must be feeling nice for Besiktas to start with a win however they will still need to do better than this in the next games. Because this was barely enough for a 1-0 win. Otherwise this season wouldn't be much different than the previous one.

It looks like the Frenkie de Jong situation is coming to an end at the moment. He has been reported that he has accepted a pay cut to continue to play for Barcelona. I understood his not being interested in joining Manchester United but there was a good possibility for him to sign for Chelsea actually. Barcelona must be very satisfied with this decision of him. If they sold him then they were going to start looking for another midfielder this time which would not be very easy.

It was an amazing start to the league by especially Tottenham. After I saw that Southampton scored first I started to think that the game would be quite difficult for them. But they showed easily how they could make a huge comeback after. They are the team that have made the best start so far. However this can change tomorrow as Manchester City are playing against West Ham. It is normally not an easy game for them though but we don't know yet if West Ham will be able to perform like in the previous season at least.

Sassuolo can be unpredictable from time to time but honestly I don't have any expectation from Juventus to lose points on the first week. The game is in Turin as well which is another advantage for them. Allegri must have bigger goals in this season therefore they should start showing this by winning this game. Pogba's absence is still a weakness for them in their midfield maybe but I still believe in them to do this. Juventus should fight for the title from now on.

Barcelona don't need to be in a hurry for signing new players at the moment. Because they have already made many signings so far. They have strengthened many positions in the team therefore I even doubt that they would sign many more players. Maybe they can go for some back transfers but we will find out about that. As you know they have been interested in Chelsea backs like Marcos Alonso and Azpilicueta for some time. Maybe they might find a way to convince Chelsea to sign at least one of them.
Barcelona is already said to be closing in on Marcos Alonso deal from Chelsea, it's only understand if Chelsea are now willing to sanction a sale after sign Marc Cucurella from Brighton during the course of the week, the fee is estimated to be around less than €10m as reported by Fabrizio Romano on twitter. I was expecting Barcelona to be more interested in César Azpilicueta who happened to have signed an extension of two years with Chelsea, Azpilicueta is natural right back and can complement Jordi Alba who would be on the other side of the flank. Alonso is already 31 years old, 32 to be in a few months doesn't make much sense that Barcelona is keen on getting him. I have heard about Barcelona's being very close to signing Marcos Alonso now thanks to Fabrizio Romano. Chelsea were seeming stubborn about not letting him join Barcelona actually. Because they were angry about Barcelona's intervening literally all of their deals and stealing the players from them. But after the Cucurella signing Chelsea look like they are okay about selling Alonso. His value is not much now therefore I wait for Barcelona to finish up the deal for a very cheap price.

Lyon have had a nice start by defeating Ajaccio 2-1. However it was an interesting game at the same time. The first half was the most attracting period of the game. Because we watched all of the goals and saw two red cards in the same half. Lyon were the much more dominant side obviously in the whole game. By the way Lacazette started awesome as well. He got one goal and one assist. It looks like he is very happy to be back at his old team now.

It is a wonderful start by Arsenal to the new season of the league. They prove the people who believed in them right by winning the game 2-0 away. Crystal Palace couldn't even do much in the first half and their effort in the second half wasn't enough as well. Arsenal got a well-deserved win. After witnessing their horrible start to the previous season this was really nice to see. I appreciated Zinchenko also because he made an assist today. I hope to see Jesus starting to score soon as well.
You know that arsenal always doing this . I mean being so great at the beginning ... and then got slipped at the end of the season , it's been a couple of seasons they are being so inconsistent , but you know with that kind pattern it's so nice to have them on my betting list every week! Lol the odds are huge and mostly underestimated them while they are on fire also overrrated when they are doing good like this while actually they won't last for long , mark my words ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I don't know about this mate. Because their beginning to the season last year wasn't satisfying at all as I indicated before. Maybe this time can be different for them and hopefully it would be like that. The current squad of Arsenal deserve to be more successful in my opinion. I know that this league is very tough for every team but Arsenal are at least among the teams that have a big potential to qualify for the Champions League. They missed it by a slight gap last season but now they can do this.

What a crazy start by Bayern Munich today! I wonder how many people would have thought that they would obtain a really huge victory against Frankfurt like 6-1. This was just too much even though I was waiting for them to win the game. Having Lewandowski or not they are still the best team in the league by far. Maybe I'm saying this very early but we are talking about a very disciplined team like Bayern Munich. I still can't see any team strengthening their squad as much as Bayern.

Nottingham Forest still aren't stopping with their transfers and they are hoping to add another one to this series. They have been reported to be after Che Adams these days. This might be one of the most expensive transfers for them so far but I don't mean that it is a very big amount. Because their biggest transfer so far has been for 20 million euros. They don't have problem with money but the main problem is to convince decent players to play for them. Let's see what Southampton will say about this.

Arsenal have spent quite a lot of money so far indeed. But they are really trying their best to achieve bigger successes now. This depends on how much qualified squad and how good chemistry they have as well. Arsenal have made important additions to the team which should have been made much before. This season expectations from them will be quite higher compared to last season. Their main target would obviously be entering top 4 and staying there until the end.
They only spent big money to sign Jesus (€52.20m). Signing Zinchenko and Vieira only spent €35.00m for each. In my opinion, Arsenal has done an effective transfer so far, they only signed a few players but they give a significant impact on Arsenal performance. We must appreciate what Arsenal has done so far, they can get their targetted players, and they choose proper players. With the current squad of Arsenal, I am sure they have a big chance to finish in the top 4 this season. Read: https://www.transfermarkt.com/fc-arsenal/transfers/verein/11I know that but I wanted to underline the thing that they have spent quite much money for all the players they have signed so far in total. This is not a thing that we see very often for Arsenal. Because they usually prefer to close transfer windows by bringing only very young players for cheap prices. But they obviously want to fight harder this season. Aside from that I agree with you on their having a significant chance to be in top four this season. The season would be very tough but it is very possible for them to make it.

Real Madrid don't have the luxury of making many mistakes in this season surely. Because they will find a much stronger rival against them for the championship race which is Barcelona obviously. After dominating the previous season they should get ready for a much tougher one. Real Madrid have an advantage now actually in terms of having a better chemistry for now. Because Barcelona have added many more players than them and they will need to make the players play with each other coherently.

Strasbourg - Monaco is a little interesting game for me. I'm saying this considering that both teams had a really decent season the last time. Monaco were even much better than their opponent as well. I'm not having doubts about Monaco but it is the opposite for Strasbourg now honestly. Because they aren't a team that are performing at a high level often in this league. The odds are favouring Strasbourg still but I'm waiting for Monaco not to lose to them here.

There are really some rumours about a possible Aubameyang transfer to Chelsea. Barcelona also seem willing to sell him to Chelsea. Because they have already signed their main striker target who is Lewandowski. Aubameyang would have to wait on the bench as long as Xavi doesn't prefer a game plan with two strikers. Lewandowski still needs to adapt of course. Aubameyang doesn't have such problem and he has been a really nice scorer for the team so far.

Real madrid's biggest problem is that they depend a lot on benzema, as a real madrid fan I'm worried about that, because we don't have another great player to score many goals when benzema can't play. it is enough to observe that in the games in which benzema does not play, we lose the game.
This is a fact of course. Benzema's contribution to the team last season was insanely high. He scored so many goals first of all and he didn't even make do with that by making many assists as well. He was like the mainstay of the team in short. This season this scenario can surely repeat itself because they haven't signed a new striker in the end. However we shouldn't see this like he has been doing all the work in the team. Players like especially Vinicius Junior also have been very impressive so far.

Mercedes really started to seem that they were really recovering. Ferrari are making too many mistakes now and this is quite likely to cost them very much. I'm not even saying that Leclerc would lose his chance to become the champion of this season. Because he is already in a really bad situation as he is 80 points away from Verstappen. Ferrari should at least focus on not losing in the constructor standings. Even though they have been bad they can still catch up with Red Bull.

I agree that there isn't a huge game on the first week of the season. Everton - Chelsea might be considered as a nice game. Everton had a very tough season as you remember and hardly managed to stay in the Premier League as well. Now they are even weaker because of Richarlison's departure. But the most important thing is what kind of strategies they are going to have this season. They can still recover if they enter the right path for the team. But for this game, I think that Chelsea are one step ahead and they will win.
