4441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will you sell your BitcoinABC or hold on to it? on: July 22, 2017, 07:31:46 PM
Doesn't matter what will happen on 1st August - I will never sell my Bitcoins. The price will be grow for sure in the future!

Are you talking about never selling your BTC on both chains? If there really is a split one of the chains might die out and stay at purely speculative level, while the other one keeps growing. In such case it might be a good idea to sell.

I don't like this idea and I don't recommend selling your coins there. Who knows what will happen to those frozen coins, maybe they'll disappear forever Cheesy
4442  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] | 🔥 Bitmixer.io Signature Campaign 🔥 | Earn up to 0.035 BTC/week on: July 22, 2017, 07:00:43 PM
Just got an reply from bitmixer support team about when they are going to solve this matter.

Quote
Hi,
Unfortunately there are no ETA at the moment.

Best Regards,
Bitmixer Support

I think you shouldn't worry. If they didn't close down the campaign and didn't disable the bot, making it still possible for new participants to join, they still have money to pay you and are planning to continue. I hope they'll show how reliable they are and resolve this ASAP.
4443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tell me how this strategy losses? on: July 22, 2017, 06:49:20 PM
I don't believe people are still asking about Martingale. There are literally thousands of explanations on this forum alone talking about why this strategy doesn't work. The best answer I've read is that it seems to work at first and it keeps working, until it doesn't and you lose everything, because with Martingale if you lose, you lose big.
Like many people here, I am also wondering why Martingale fails with online gambling and works perfect if you use it in your real life.

Moreover people here are gambling for entertainment and they find entertainments even with discovering an effective strategy set up. I know few gamblers they are spending more time on different strategy set up with their dice gambling rather than just watching their profits dancing ups and downs.

I mean there will be no wonder on people are looking for some modified version of Martingale. This is how they gamble as this is how they enjoy their life.
It's quite simple really. I used to wonder why it is years ago when I first started playing online dice.
You see, when you play normal dice you have a single roll with double dice, and your probability is taken from this single roll. When you play online dice, there's a number of throws happening at the same time. It may be 10, but it may be 20, made by different players, sometimes with autoroll function. When the system does the math, it generates seeds randomly and distributes between the players, so it's possible that one of the players gets 10 wins in a row, (with 50% chance) and another one 10 losses, which in a real life casino is very improbable.
4444  Other / Meta / Re: Bounties are corruption. on: July 21, 2017, 02:57:28 PM
Users are never "forced" to do anything. They are taking money for advertising, and if they don't like it they can always refuse and/or switch campaigns. If they take the job, they're at risk of getting negative rating or a ban. Every time you take up on an offer you have to calculate the risk and decide if it's worth it.

In some campaigns they essentially are. Campaigns such as FortuneJack 'force' people to have x amount of posts in the Gambling section or they wont get paid, hence why we have loads of shit threads discussing every possible league of sport in the world with the most of them started by FortuneJack users: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1713944

betcoin also offers premium rates for posts in the Gambling section so why would users waste their time posting in other sections?
What I meant by "they aren't forced" is there are many campaigns and you know the rules before signing up, so they know that it's required to write a number of posts in gambling. Id they don't like it, there are campaigns without this requirement. The campaign is not at fault, but the users. If someone tells you to spam the shit out of a thread and you do it, who is to blame? People can tell you to do something, but you the final decision and responsibility is always yours.
4445  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 54yo woman attacked by somali migrant for walking her dogs on: July 21, 2017, 02:42:10 PM
That's a very unfortunate incident. Guests are now turning against the hosts. These migrants forget that cultures and religions are different across the globe.
It happens because those guests are savages. In a normal society, you don't beat unarmed people up, especially old people, even when they do something that you don't like or don't accept. I don't like when someone farts in the elevator, or when someone's dog is barking next to my window early in the morning, but I don't go out and send them to a hospital! If you're a savage and can't exist in a modern society, you should live in the jungle or be put in a cage like an animal that you are, that's my opinion.
4446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Litecoin (LTC) dominate Bitcoin(BTC) on: July 21, 2017, 02:33:27 PM
I think it's a good idea to have some Litecoins in your coin portfolio. They are pretty stable, much more than Bitcoin and offer a save haven when you want to jump from one altcoin to another. I've switched from Bitcoin to Litecoin a number of times when Bitcoin was in a downtrend. Why not to fiat? Because I don't like it Cheesy
4447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The "I cannot afford 1 BTC"-Problem on: July 21, 2017, 02:27:44 PM
We should all wear T-shirts saying things like, " Just 1 Satoshi at a time to my first Bitcoin"
That's a great idea, maybe you should start your own business.

I never had a problem with Bitcoin prices. A price of a whole gold bar is also ridiculously high, does that mean that we can't invest in gold because we have to buy a full bar? Of course not! If you want to invest buy whatever you can, you will still earn in proportion to your investment.
4448  Other / Meta / Re: Bounties are corruption. on: July 19, 2017, 09:12:39 AM
That's a good point. It's bad when users is forced to post positive reviews about project to get payment for it. They can't show their real opinion if they want to get bounty. But it's question of users morale. What's the point of advertising a project if you don't believe in it's success? Only answer is money and greediness.
It's borderline, depends on what they have to do. For example, If you are asked to do a review for money it's completely fine. What about sponsored articles? What about articles that are only posted on the site with information that they weren't written by them? By law it's all fine because they're informing you that information contained could be inaccurate. Is it immoral? We all have our own morality when it comes to these things.

Users are never "forced" to do anything. They are taking money for advertising, and if they don't like it they can always refuse and/or switch campaigns. If they take the job, they're at risk of getting negative rating or a ban. Every time you take up on an offer you have to calculate the risk and decide if it's worth it.
4449  Economy / Economics / Re: Your plans for 1st august? on: July 19, 2017, 08:46:57 AM
This coming upgrade on August 1st of segwit2x (soft pork) I plan to switch a little amount of my Bitcoin to alt coin I buy some eth and ltc and the others bitcoin plan to hold and wait until this split was finally okay and Hope we see the potential of Bitcoin to raise the price to the moon. I know everyone afraid of this split but I believe in Bitcoin Smiley

Let's eat this pork already and be done with it. Grin
There will be no split! Bitcoin is recovering, people made money on the fall and some losers sold and are now regretting. Life goes on. My plans for the first are to sit tight and hold coins on my wallets. I've also bought some altcoins last week, we'll see how they do.
4450  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 54yo woman attacked by somali migrant for walking her dogs on: July 19, 2017, 08:41:49 AM
The worst thing is that the old lady can't even sue that migrant. I mean she can but what will she get from it? The migrant will feel good even in a prison, because prisons in Austria are much better than clay huts in the desert. The girl would normally had to wake up in the morning, feed farm animals, go get water from the well and wash her clothes in a river. In a prison she'll get all that for free, they'll educate her, give her clean sheets, warm meals 3 times a day, books to read. Old lady in the meantime will be walking in fear of being attacked, that is if she ever walks again without pain.
4451  Other / Off-topic / Re: Should I Go To College ??? on: July 19, 2017, 08:35:24 AM
Don't go, life is short. You may find out that by the time you've finished the market has changed completely and nobody wants people with your skills.
If I could go back in time I'd drop out and don't waste my life on useless education. I know it's easy to say now when I've graduated, but I don't feel like it has helped me in life.
4452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Being Unemployed Drives People to go to Bitcoin on: July 19, 2017, 08:30:46 AM
I can see this happening because it doesn't take any skills or having an education to be able to obtain it.
It is all internet money or cryptocurrency as the people online like to call it.
So all you need is a data plan to hold, obtain and use it. Undecided
That's just like jobs. Trust me, I know plenty of uneducated dumb people that have great jobs. Can you guess how they got these jobs? Yes, they had connections, family ties, they were recommended for the job.
I'd say cryptos at least require some intelligence, basic English, basic computer skills, reading comprehension, sometimes confidence and trading knowledge, the ability to read graphs, do some basic math. Building your own mining rig and setting it up requires some above average skills, ones that most outsourced tech supports don't even have, but they have their jobs Wink I personally know information technology graduates, who know nothing about computer hardware, and have never built their own PCs.
4453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What's THE coin to mine and HODL? on: July 19, 2017, 08:16:01 AM
One thing some people often fail to do is separate mining and investing/trading.  They are two completely different activities.  There are various exchanges and services for converting one coin into another.  Maybe people are too confused or lazy to figure out how to convert crypto or think it's too much trouble.  It isn't and the transaction fees are really not that significant compared to what you would lose by mining a currency with a good future, but bad mining profitability.

Choose which coin to mine based on the max value you can convert to fiat currency.  That should be your only consideration.

Then you can convert your mined coins or cash into whichever coins you want to INVEST in based on what you think the future of those coins.

Simple example:

Assumptions:
One day of mining (today)
Ether price today = $200
Zcash price today = $200
Ether price next year = $400
Zcash price next year = $250
Mining Ether rate today = $17/day
Mining Zcash rate today = $20/day

If you "mine and HODL" ETH for 24 hours, you'd get $17 in ETH and it would be worth $34 next year.
If you "mine and HODL" ZCASH for 24 hours, you'd get $20 in ZCASH and it would be worth $25 next year.

HOWEVER, if you MINE ZCASH for 24 hours and convert it to ETH, then you'd end up with $40 next year.

THAT'S what you need to do: MINE what's most profitable NOW and INVEST your mined coins in whichever coin you think will increase the most in the future.

Current mining rates on these two coins may be pretty similar, but they could potentially be VERY different.  In fact, the best coin to invest in may not even be minable at all.

Good luck figuring out which coin will increase the most in the future.  As anyone can tell you, it's just another form of gambling...not much different from the equity, commodity, and fiat currency markets.
You're assuming that both Ether and Zcash will continue to rise for a year. It's not that certain, as ETH is in a bubble that can really hurt people. I don't believe it will keep going up, since it's peaking now. There has to be a downtrend at some point, like there was in Bitcoin in 2014.
If you're asking about mining, I think GPU is too difficult to handle in a typical home environment. Too much power drawn, noise and heat. I'm interested more in CPU and HDD coins.
4454  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Libertarianism Sucks on: July 18, 2017, 06:35:45 PM
That's where God comes in. God is the most libertarian ruler of all. He will even give you the property of your body and soul back to you, in the resurrection.

Cool
He's the most libertarian, because he doesn't exist. We could say that flies or earthworms are libertarians, because they don't force you to do anything. Their existence influences the ecosystem, but not you directly. God doesn't care, just like the honey badger Wink

4456  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: July 18, 2017, 06:25:23 PM
Just two days later, and we are back from low 1800 Smiley

What do you say? Is it because of Bitmain announcement that they signal segwit2x?
- Price have dropped only due to panic on the market which seems over now.

- It looks like that, this have made hardfork quite unlikely on august 1st. Confidence on market is high and I am hoping over $3000 soon.  Wink
There was no real change in the trend, but don't expect it to continue up before SegWit get's activated. I think we're going to be seeing ups and downs with no real breakout for a month. It's not bad, it means a lot of options to make. Jumpy market is second only to a never ending pump  Grin
As for Bitmain they may signal or not, it doesn't matter. They will still try to fork like they did in 2013. I wouldn't trust them.
4457  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the Bitcoin Price going to rise smoothly now or will dip again before 1 Aug? on: July 18, 2017, 06:20:45 PM
I think it will dip, but not because of FUD or panic. It will dip because people will move coins out of exchanges to their wallets for safe keeping. When there's less money on exchanges the walls get thinner, so even a small dump can drop the price by a lot. I'm sure some people will try to take advantage of this to manipulate the prices.
4458  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Libertarianism Sucks on: July 18, 2017, 06:16:25 PM
How did this discussion go from libertarianism to god's will? Cheesy Libertarianism is all right, but no government will allow for it to thrive. They want to make slaves out of people and take as much taxes as possible. In libertarianism, you aren't forced to pay taxes for your land. You buy it - you own it for life. Under oppressive government it's a bit different. You buy it - you owe them for life...

dead? last time i checked the cia director was fit as a fiddle...

This was actually a good one.

Killing the leader of Isis doesn't mean a thing. They thought that killing Bin Laden will change things, and look where it got us.
4460  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Sexbots. Will you be indulging? on: July 14, 2017, 09:53:45 PM
I do not agree to the idea of sexbots. For me it is a unnatural way of having an intercourse, i prefer real people rather than a lifeless material. Just like sodomites having to have sex with a robot must not be considered by people, the only reason people want this technology is because they cannot have sex with real life people, these kind of people for me is weakminded, filthy, and immoral.
I understand that you prefer real people, but think outside the box for a second. What if you were extremely shy, spending all days working from home, and you didn't know any girls? I'm sure you'd prefer a sex bot from your palm.
And what if you were ugly, or suffered an accident and had a deformed face? You'd still want to have sex, even if it wasn't with a real person.
