4441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Las Vegas coin (VGS) *LIMXDEV COIN* ONLY 330,000 coins. 1000 coins for MN on: February 25, 2018, 11:41:07 PM
I downloaded the new wallet and all seemed to be working fine and now today when I woke up and checked it, there was no active connections? I never had this problem with the old wallet. Is there a way I can get back the active connections, I know I can add nodes which I have done but not luck with getting active connections so I'm back to using the older wallet for now.

One thing you can try is go to "tools", then wallet repair, then choose "zapwallettxes=1"

Vegas

Okay thanks vegasguy! I'll give this a try and see how it goes as I've had to do this a few times with the old wallet I'm currently using when I had a power outage and the wallet wouldn't stake after the wallet re-synced. Once I did this the wallet would stake again so I'll see how I go, thanks.

If all else fails go here and look on the left column, and scroll to the bottom and click "copy addnodes".

Vegas

Thanks mate!

The repairwallet seemed to do the trick as now the connections seem to be holding. But I'll give it 24 hours to see if it remains the same like the old wallet was. And to also see if it does stake like the old wallet. Thanks once again for the help.

FIFTH PASSIVE COIN BUY-BACK HAPPENED!
Due to recent sell-off activity on Passive Coin market, someone fulfilled some of our buy orders.

We acquired $PAS 230 & take this coins out of circulation.
https://stocks.exchange/trade/PAS/BTC

Nice work dev!

With this buy back of PAS, will you be doing this once a month or something like that? I know it won't be all the time as the price will eventually start to rise which may make it harder to buy back PAS. I'm not sure why people are dumping their PAS at this stage as PAS has a long way to go and we are starting to see the potential this token has to offer as the weeks go by. The backing fund has taken a little hit but all the coins/tokens in the fund are great long term projects so I expect them to all do well in the long term.

Nice, love coin burns, they always manage to make the coin increase in value. This is not an exception. Nice GitHub, name and logo too.
they have proven by burning the remaining coins, of course this is a good action from developers to keep investor confidence
the burning of this coin will have a good impact on prices, investors are satisfied because it will get a big profit

Can you guys please show me where it has been mentioned that the dev will be burning RAIN coins? I can't seem to find this anywhere, I know some people of the community suggested this but I haven't seen an official word from the dev about this. If it was posted in the slack group then please share the update here as I would like to see it.
4444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: February 25, 2018, 11:26:51 PM
Five one-day match series between England and New Zealand started today. New Zealand won the toss and elected to field first and it looks they done a good job until now because England just scored 285 runs in their 50 overs and last eight wickets. Only three players played good in this innings and rest of them are just okay and that's why they couldn't score over 300 runs. I think NZ will win this match.
I still think England will be able to win this one . The odds are pretty good for them and hence I am going for them Smiley I was expecting them to score 300+ though . Roy should have gone on to score big , he takes too much risk but he is an exceptional player.
NewZealand bowled well to restrict England within 300, we have seen how explosive England batting line up, they have won series against Australia in Australia. Now NZ needs to bat sensibly to win this match they have capable of chasing this total and home conditions is the advantage for them.

The fact that England managed to make 285 is only due to the knocks of Root and Butler. Butler scored at better than a run a ball and hit 5 sixers, showing how explosive he can be. New Zealand didn't have the best of starts, being reduced to 27/3 by England. They are now in a consolidation phase and Taylor and Latham have done well, taking New Zealand to 121/3

NZ won this match with three wickets and four balls were still remaining. After the three quick wickets fourth wicket both Taylor and Latham build up a good partnership. Taylor scored 113 runs and Latham 79 runs but final touch by Santner who scored 45 runs in just 27 balls with 2 fours and four sixes gave NZ edge over England otherwise it was England's match today. England started well but didn't finish well but NZ did opposite to win the match.

Very tight match but New Zealand managed to win this match. after losing quick wickets they really came back strongly and reached the target credit goes to Mitchell Santner he played superbly at the end. England failed to add 20 to 30 extra runs to the total if they added means today it was England match. bad luck and a good start for New Zealand congrats.
This is 9th win in a trot for New Zealand in their backyard, today they were in a spot of bother by losing early 3 wickets, but Ross Taylor with his 18th century built a solid partnership with Tom Latham, later Santner with his breeze knock ensured the win for New Zealand.

New Zealand played a great match all round, with the ball and with the bat. They bowled well to keep England under 300 runs as it did look like England would score at least 300 runs but New Zealand were able to keep the pressure on and restrict them to 285. They also recovered well when batting thanks to the middle order and to Ross Taylor & Tom Latham putting on that magnificent partnership which really set up the win for New Zealand and then for Santner to finish it off. Great win for the Kiwis!

I like this project, I think that it has a future. I will wait for growth

There has been growth for the past couple of months now. Its the best to get in early before more people start to know about grim coin, soon masternodes will be implemented and the current rate of 525% per year will soon be changed so now is the best time to take advantage of this 525% while it lasts.

he is talking about combine all stakes. but how i can split my 5k stack into 2x 2,5k

Simple, in your wallet click settings then a window will pop up. Then click the display tab and check the box that says "Display coin control features" Once done click apply and OK. Now to split them into 2.5k blocks you need to send coins to yourself so click on send coins, then you will see a tab "Inputs" click that, once done a pop up window will show and then you need to click "list mode" now you will see all your coins in your case your 5k block. Now check the box next to that 5k coins, then click OK. Now in the Pay To enter your wallet address and in the amount box enter 2.5k and don't forget the 0.10 Rain fee so it will be 2500.1 and then click send. That is it now you have your coins split into 2.5k blocks.

Hey Vella, I was having a look at this nice post. Question: When I go "list mode", I see 4 batches of Rain, these are the 4 times I've send Rain to the same address in my wallet. So how does this work? Do I check all 4 boxes?

EDIT: When I click the arrow next to it, the four transactions fold into 1. So is that considered one block? Or is every transaction 1 block?
Also, can I just one and the same address to create more blocks or should I use a new address for every block?
Cheers

Hello,

Yes from what you are saying these 4 lots of coins you sent are in 4 blocks, now depending on how much is in each block will depend on how often you stake. I think 10k blocks are best right now but like I mentioned in a previous post it might be best to make them either 15k blocks or 20k blocks. They are 4 blocks but under the one address which is fine as one of the blocks might stake while you have the other 3 waiting to stake instead of one large block where if it stakes you then need to wait for it to confirm and then wait for that block to mature again for staking. This way if one of the 4 blocks stakes you still have 3 blocks staking and then you should always have a block staking while the other/s mature for staking. This is why people should be splitting their RAIN into blocks to benefit more from staking.

Ah alright! But the thing is, these were very small transactions. Is there also a way of merging these 4 transactions into one block or can I add to these blocks? Or otherwise every transaction becomes a block. Thanks for helping out!

Yes you can merge them into larger blocks if you like. You need to activate coin control, click on the settings tab in your wallet and then options, a box will pop up with some options now click on Display. You will see 2 options and the box you want to check is "Display coin control features (experts only)" once done click apply then okay. Now once you have done that and closed the pop up window click on "Send coins" tab in your wallet and you should see the Coin control features Click the "Inputs" tab and a window will pop up then you will see Tree mode and List mode. Select list mode and there you will have all your coins showing, now if you want to combine them all into blocks of 10k you just check all the boxes that add up to 10k then click ok. Now have them sent to your address by entering your address and the total amount you like to send, in this case at least 10k or what ever amount you would like.

I'm still syncing my wallet and its only 56% in 24 hours, I'm just wondering is this normal for it to take this long? I'm wondering if my internte connection has something to do with it taking a long time to sync as I have been watching the sync process and sometimes I see it pause for 20 or 30 seconds and then starts syncing again. It does this a lot and just wondering if all wallets are doing this or is it because my internet connection is maybe slow, I have cable internet where I live.

Yea vella, it can take awhile to sync up especially if you are way behind. This is something we do want to fix in the future or optimize.

Best thing you can do to ensure it syncs properly and quicker is adding a ton of other node connections. The more connections you have the more reliable the sync.

Also the Denarius macOS v2 QT Wallet is now available too: https://github.com/carsenk/denarius/releases/download/v2.0/Denarius-2.0.0.0.dmg

Thanks Carsen!

That is a good idea as I'm sure more and more newbies will be joining the DNR community in the weeks and months to come so it needs to be easier for them once they start coming in and downloading the wallets. I have over 60 active connections right now so I'm thinking it could be my internet connection that is holding it up from syncing faster. Keep up the good work!

Well it seems that CoinsMarkets is going to start withdrawals again as they are allowing people to withdraw ECA coins. They say more coins to follow so we'll see if they stick to their word as they are hard to trust right now with all the other updates they had posted in the past. Then people can also stop blaming the dev for their coins being stuck on CoinsMarkets.

Sick final game dudes  Grin Germany were literally seconds away from winning lol. Fucking hilarious actually  Cool
very surprising, and indeed hard to believe, this is a game and sport is difficult in tebsk. sometimes the team in the proposed can not provide the best performance. defeat at the end of time is sad  Grin

Bad luck for the Germans Smiley. When the tournament started, bookies rated the chances of Germany to win the gold at 60 to 1  Grin.

That was an epic gold medal final that had it all. This was one of the most entertaining games of the tournament and will go down as being one of the greatest gold medal finals in Winter Olympics history. Congrats to Russia on winning their first gold medal in ice hockey for 20+ years. Overall for me betting on this tournament is a loss as many games were hard to predict but I had fun with it all. I thought overall it was a great Winter Olympic games, South Korea put on a great show!

I highly recommend DNR which is starting POS on March 14th, well it already has POS however at the moment we are only staking the fees but that is all going to change come March 14th where POS will start and the APR is 6% which is good for a coin that has a very bright future. Also masternodes will be implemented on March 14th as well if people are interested in masternodes.

Hi, will there be an official staking pool? I think b4 they said between 500 - 750k For Master nodes

There does seem to be someone on discord creating a staking pool for grim. I'm actually against staking pools because I believe it doesn't help the network as there is just one large pool staking when we could have many people staking and supporting the network. I see many people want this now days so I guess I just have to roll with it.

Why moon?  Please stop.  Must accumulate more Solaris prior to lambo moon launch.

I think we'll see Solaris stay around this price range for a while longer. So you can keep accumulating but maybe once zerocoin is enabled will could see a spike in the price for a short time. Then as we get closer to txbit being launched we could see Solaris really start to take off as more people know about the benefits of owning a Solaris masternode.

Downloaded the new wallet release and now just waiting for it to re-sync as I downloaded the 64 bit. Its fun to see all my transactions showing up as it brings back memories on when I first bought DNR back in July, it seems like yesterday when I first bought my first amount of DNR and since then its been a great ride. DNR is just getting started as 2018 will be a huge year for the coin. Thanks for all the hard work you have put in Carsen and thanks to your team and testers as well. Keep it up!

Australia got off to a bad start in their tour match against the South Africa A side but thanks to the tail wagging they were able to make 151 runs for their final 3 wickets to take a small lead in the match of 109 runs. South Africa A have already cut into the deficit in the final session to be 0-55 at stumps so day 3 will be interesting to see how well Australia bowls to keep the total down ready for when they bat again.

And will be a new signature campaign , and when ?
I am also waiting for joining new wave of Solaris signature campaign, too. The project looks good.

Any idea on what the date for that is going to be?

I don't know for sure when the next signature campaign will start but I think it would be when the txbit exchange launches or a couple of weeks before as that gives something for people to promote and gets more exposure ready for when the exchange launches, well that is when I'll be running my next signature campaign if I was the dev, it just makes more sense to run one at that time then now. Or there could be one at the end of March ready for when Solaris goes POS and Zerocoin protocol becomes active.
4460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 Winter Olympics on: February 23, 2018, 11:34:24 PM
I'm enjoying watching these winter Olympic games however I'm not having much luck betting on the events lol I just have a bet to make watching more fun and entertaining, well I have only been betting on the ice hockey. Overall I'm at a loss but not a big loss as I don't bet much on the games and just do it for fun.
I would say this is the main thing with the Olympics, is to not bet on the games because they can be out of the ordinary results, especially in hockey with shootouts usually deciding the final result.
You definitely should just be watching them to enjoy the play of the different countries because they only come by once every 4 years. Wink
Hockey is one risky sport even though a team is down by 2 - 3 goals they could still win. It almost happened earlier with the canada vs germany match few hours ago where canada was down 0-3 and almost climbed back to tie it. I was also losing with my betting strategy but with my OAR prop bet to win the men's hockey I could break even.

Yes true ice hockey is a risky sport to bet on even when I bet on the NHL its hard to predict and that is why I go with the goals over/under but in the Winter Olympics even this has been harder to predict lol. Most games where I thought more then 5 goals would be scored the opposite happens. In my opinion the NHL is much easier to get the over/under goals. As we know the Olympics are always hard to predict the outcomes which makes betting even more risky but like I have said I mainly do it for fun as its something different to bet on then the regular sports.
