4441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin overcome Paypal? on: February 13, 2017, 04:18:21 AM
This follows the same question of will Bitcoin ever overtake FIAT when it comes to use in everydaylife, people on here will like to think otherwise but bitcoin will never overtake FIAT and even if they had such a growing base governments wouldn't allow Bitcoin to overtake their own currency. It would hurt them too much to allow that to occur.

I'm more optimistic that bitcoin will surpass Visa rather than Paypal. Paypal isn't just money, they offer the customer protection too, which is a big plus. On the other hand bitcoin's transactions are irreversible ,almost  like bank transfers. I see bitcoin and paypal co-existing, maybe in the future paypal ends up accepting bitcoin.

Paypal (the company not the full on service) actually already accepts bitcoin as payment on company they own which is a merchant provider for credit cards and other things known as Braintree. I'd say the only time I like to use Paypal follows what you say above, it's nice to know that if someone scams me I can get my money back.
4442  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think of Comunism? on: February 12, 2017, 05:05:11 PM
Communism is a horrible concept, but it must be thought about of what you're referring to when you speak about communism. Most people who support communism support Marxism communism without any type of corruption within the government which usually runs rampant along with a communist government like in Russia under Stalin. The idea is great and all, though I don't really see a point for innovation and change in a communist government / economy as people aren't going to get more / gain anything from doing more then they're required to do.

I know the system is usually you get paid for what you work, but in communism isn't everyone supposed to be equal. (Saying supposed to due to the greed of people leading to this NEVER being followed, and it never will)
4443  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are terrorists only muslim in religion? on: February 12, 2017, 06:07:39 AM
Not true in the least when it comes to your claim here bud. People are usually just worried about the high amount of Muslims which commit terrorists acts when you compare it to the amount of citizens of that religion, race, etc in a particular country, state and so on. It's like if a terrorist attack happens in a predominantly African-American area or Caucasian area you'd be suspecting it to occur by the majority in the community itself as those people are the most abundant.

This part does stand true when it comes to terrorist acts being committed but people are worried about percentages and such, and it's really something to think about and put into account when you think about terrorism around the world.
4444  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [NEWS] Trump freezes immigration + POLL on: February 12, 2017, 06:03:58 AM
It's horrible how you can even think to compare Donald J Trump and Adolf Hitler, I don't even know how people can even come close to seeing the supposed / alleged similarities between the two. You're going to say that they ran on the same campaign promises and such? Well putting that into perspective doesn't every politician have similarities to Hitler and Trump when they make promises saying they're going to help the country and pretty much "make it great"

Politicians refer to past times which were greater and look to go forward and better than ever before over that, just like Trump refers to making America Great Again. All he did was put a slogan on it, nothing more nothing less.
4445  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is real freedom in your view? Are you getting it? on: February 12, 2017, 05:28:46 AM
People sometimes go ahead and confuse having freedom with having some responsibilities in your life, it's always good to have to do something in life so you don't want to strip yourself of your job, house and so on due to you believing that that is the path to freedom.

Being free is all about how you perceive it, and how I perceive it is being able to spread your ideas and speak about things without any sort of intervention (criminal of course, people can speak out about what I say) by the government or an entity who would jail me.

I guess I see you're new on this forum and I'll help to you direct you bud, best place on the forum to post something like this is going to have to be the services section. I'm pretty confused on how you thought the POLITICS AND SOCIETY section could help you here but I guess I'll cut you some slack.

4447  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The 9th Circuit attempted dismantling? on: February 12, 2017, 05:11:51 AM
What's your opinion on splitting up the court that handed down Trump a defeat?

Guy, you should work for the Trump organization with your "full on Liberal bias" talk. The panel of three judges in the 9th is comprised of ....

Ah, the 9th is well understood to be a radical left circuit.  No need to try to blur it by noting backgrounds of judges on it.

Like it even matters. The checks and balances system is working. Or are you saying you would like to destroy that system put in place so that people like Trump can just do as they wish? It is incredible how blind people are to how much they sound like they favor a dictatorship. You morons complained Obama was a Muslim Dictator and now here you are actually trying to create one. Unreal times, man. How quickly we forget the past of humanity only to repeat the same horrors.

The stupidity in what you just said is unreal, you're stating that I'd like to dismantle the checks and balances but the checks and balances are being used and are found to be abused. Another CHECK and BALANCE is from congress and the senate who are going to be limiting the power of the 9th circuit by attempting too and probably ending up dismantling the entire thing.

I don't understand your claim in the least about that whole Muslim terrorist Obama thing, please provide some evidence on reputable conservatives saying that.

If so, then the 9th district judges represent their district pretty accurately. The West coast (where the 9th district is) is incredibly liberal! Washington, Oregon, California...all super liberal states.

Someone else mentioned that the 9th district should be disbanded. I wonder which country this person is from. Federal court districts aren't disbanded in the US and anyone who thinks they should be is a terrorist to the US.

If the Department of Justices (i.e., Trump) believes they have a better case than the 9th District Appeals Court, they'll escalate the appeal to the Supreme Court. And the Supreme Court is about to have more Republican appointed judges than Democrat appointed judges...so Trump should have nothing to complain about regarding their final decision.

That's how justice works in a Democracy. Full stop.

Frankly, there have been problems before with nutty stuff from the 9th.  You are perhaps correct it represents the far left fringe thought of their area, but there is no requirement or benefit from a FEDERAL circuit court to "represent their area."  None whatsoever.

However, that is the way it has always been with that court.  I'm not complaining or moralizing, just trying to comment on the reality of that particular situation.  Many Americans view virtually anything coming out of the 9th circuit court with disgust, skepticism, etc.  It's pure comedy.

I guess I'll have to agree with you on it helping to represent the area thought there are many rural living republicans who live in the states that are under the rule of the 9th circuit who voted for Trump, so I wouldn't fully go ahead and say everyone in those states carry a liberal bias like the court.
4448  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Saudi diplomat sentenced to caning in Singapore for sexual abuse on: February 11, 2017, 05:21:45 PM
This is the type of thing that should happen in the US when someone commits such a heinous crime and attempts to or thinks of using their diplomatic status as a way to get out of it. It's absolutely disgusting to see an example coming from a foreign country (Saudi Arabia) and committing such an act. Aren't they supposed to be representing their country when they go ahead and visit another place?

What a horrible example, but I GUESS these countries should pick better diplomats or the rest of the world is going to think this is how serious they take their government.
4449  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Efficient way to eradicate corruption on: February 11, 2017, 03:56:03 PM
The best way to eradicate corruption and crime is to ensure a strong job market where everyone is able to work and have a good job, without needing to resort to nefarious means to provide for themselves & their families.

It invokes wealth and wage equality, a fair and decent standard of living for poor to middle class income earners.

Crime and corruption are what people turn to when they feel abandoned by politicians, world leaders & feel as if they have no hope. Crime is a last resort.

I know I once read of a study somewhere where an African country attempted to eradicate corruption within the police force by raising the pay of the workers and even hiring more people. It actually lead to the exact opposite happening in the country where there was the same amount of more corruption occurring, the person who led the findings had stated that the reason for corruption still occurring is because the police in the country had a much higher pay in mind for the type of work they're doing.

People are never going to leave corruption, its part of us as GREED is one with people. You commit such acts of stealing to make some money due to the greed inside you, the greed to never have enough and keep wanting more and more. You won't be able to remove corruption entirely, but with a strong centralized government where such corruption acts are punished with high punishments it will limit the amount that occurs.
4450  Other / Politics & Society / The 9th Circuit attempted dismantling? on: February 11, 2017, 03:06:21 PM
Republicans in the house and the senate are going to be attempting to break up what they call is the "nutty 9th" a federal court which is has a full on liberal bias when it comes to most of the issues that get brought to it. This is the same court that has an average ruling time of about 15 months when it comes to cases which I think is absolutely disgusting.

It's been seen before when higher population is seen in an area so a federal circuit court is broken up to accomodate for the influx of new people in the area, which makes sense for the 9th circuit based on 20 percent of the US population now living within those districts.

Article from Fox - http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/02/09/bill-to-split-nutty-9th-circuit-gains-momentum.html

What's your opinion on splitting up the court that handed down Trump a defeat?
4451  Other / Politics & Society / Re: EU is the 4th Reich on: February 11, 2017, 02:46:46 PM
If you're going to be attempting to bring such a tough and controversial claim up like this, you're going to need to find some quality sources. I wouldn't trust anything named "http://beforeitsnews.com" without an SSL verification because even the shitty news (fake ones) have those. You should probably cross claim all evidence provided in all of this.

Even though I'm not a fan of the EU in the least, I would't claim that Nazis formed it. I do believe that Hitler escaped the bunker where he allegedly died though, I'll fully support you on that claim bud.
4452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the advantage of running a full node? on: February 11, 2017, 02:06:39 PM
If you really believe in bitcoin, running a full node helps support the network by accepting transactions and connecting to other nodes.

Also, they help support the light clients that are in operation.  Granted if you've sent transactions over the network, you've used someone else's full node, so why not run one Smiley

Yeah, the biggest thing right here with running a node is that you beleive in the bitcoin network and want to further help it run. It's not like mining or anything like a business opportunity where you'll be getting compensation for your hardware being used.

The main advantage is that you're helping the decentralisation of the the Bitcoin network. The sad thing is is that you don't make any income from it, as no fees are sent your way. I guess another pro is if you want to make your transaction propagate faster Han the already lightning fast speed.

I'll have to agree with you on it being sad that people don't make any income, but people have to really think that if you really believe in the cause you should really just go ahead and run a node. I've been thinking about doing it too but I don't know if I have the resources for it. Anyone know if you need to use your entire computer to run a node?

4453  Other / Politics & Society / Re: War btw USA and Iran! on: February 11, 2017, 04:47:58 AM
The last problem between the two countries is going to be the warning for the missle testing that the Iranians did, the testing is only just dumb and I feel the Iranians are really just doing it to see how the new administration (Trump administration) is going to deal with problems like this. They've get their result which is them being put "on notice" from Flynn and Trump.

But lets just say war ever broke out between the two, USA would without a doubt pummel all of Iran without problem within a week or two. The two nations can't even compare when it comes to military tech and strength.

Here's the article on Iran being put on watch, it's a tough read but I'm not a big fan of the source - https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/2768791/donald-trump-iran-on-notice-missile-test/
4454  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think to the president of the Philippines? on: February 11, 2017, 04:33:27 AM
The problem with drugs is...

Nobody sells drugs... drugs sell themselves

You cannot stop drugs by killing the dealers... there will always be a new person to take their place... always

The only way to stop drugs is to stop people from wanting drugs... that's the only way

The tough part is, it's not fully possible to get people to stop wanting to drugs it just leads to forcing people into rehabilitation and such which would cost a government millions upon millions of dollars. Which in reality could go ahead and heed no result, he's doing what he feels may work and I don't think a SHIT TON of money is being pissed away in his quest.

I love the cause that he's fighting for and all, but I personally HIGHLY DOUBT that it's something a country can ever win in. You can't win the drug war, or be winning the drug war one side just losses slower.
4455  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump Picks Anti-Encryption Attorney General on: February 09, 2017, 10:04:40 PM
Sessions is someone who was picked by Trump based on his views on immigration and how he is going to be hard in the fight against illegal immigration, something that him and President Trump hold very high on their priority list.
It's important that Trump opposed him and it's the president that has the last word here not the attorney general. I don't think this will impact Bitcoin in any way. The only thing that can impact it are the decisions that become accepted by the whole chain of command, not things like personal views and opinions of people, who are links in that chain.

Trump will be highly controlling of his cabinet and we know that he won't care at all to go ahead and fire these high ranking people in the cabinet if he feels that they;re being insubordinate to him, as they do report right to him. I will agree with you, none of this will impact bitcoin in the least so it won't hurt us.
4456  Other / Politics & Society / Video for the Ages - Nancy Pelosi "President Bush" on: February 09, 2017, 09:47:08 PM
I think the present day democrats are insanely amazing, they are some of the people that are having brain trips when it comes to who the currency president is and still think they're fighting with President Bush on issues.

I guess they're going to take some time in order to get used to the new name and who they're having issues with for the next 4 years. If you haven't seen the video here it is, it's amazing!

Some Random Source (Doesn't matter) - http://www.wnd.com/2017/02/nancy-pelosi-i-cant-work-with-president-bush/
4457  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Cops Mistake 81yo Grandma in Her Backyard for a ‘Suspect’ Have K9 Maul Her on: February 09, 2017, 05:12:11 PM
WOW Police are a bunch of pussies nowadays. If it were me I would have walked up to the shed with the Dog. Instead the scardy cat cops let the dog go in first, you know, in case there is anyone dangerous in there... pussies, they sent in the poor dumb dog to do the work of the brave men and women of the police force. fucking pathetic.

The woman will sue and I predict the police settling over a few million.

There are some points in life where the police are wrong and I will go ahead and say that this is a time where they are 110% wrong with what occurred here. Though I wouldn't go to the extreme and say that these police officers are PUSSIES because they didn't want to go forward and face something. Think about it like this, you have reports of a person in the backyard and no one is coming out, what comes to mind first "There is an innocent old-lady in their and is hard of hearing" OR "There is a suspect who is hiding from us and may pose danger to other officers"

Stop trying to make yourself all high and mighty, this was a mistake but it could've been worse if the police force went over and it wasn't an old-lady.
4458  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Even More Countries Mock Trump With Wickedly Funny Parody Videos on: February 09, 2017, 03:55:53 PM
Honestly, these people are just funny when it comes to thinking that they're going to do any damage to the leader of the free world, President Trump defied all the odds in order to get where he is and isn't going to care much about the Liberal media attempting to de-legitimize him. All these videos are just people attempting to de-legitimize again  the President and it's not going to work in the least.

May want to fix the title up a bit too, as these aren't countries mocking trump (not their governments as that wouldn't be fully alright) it's people within the country, citizens that are doing this in a parody form.

EDIT: Though I must say, the videos are pretty funny after watching a couple of them I do like them even though I don't support what they're attempting to say / do to him.
4459  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who will win WW3? on: February 09, 2017, 03:50:21 PM
Russia and China will not be the countries that will be the winners of WW3 if it was to ever occur. Just because China has the largest standing army and Russia has a ton of military equpment doesn't mean anything when a lot of the equipment on both sides from those two countries are from the Cold War.

I'm not going to say this article is from an amazing source but it does display the old military from Russia - http://www.defenseone.com/threats/2014/11/how-powerful-russias-military/99062/
They may be attempting to improve their military, but it's going to take some time for a full improvement to occur. America is already on the area of improvement in their military and isn't going to need  to go through this at all.

So to finish that up, I think America would come out as the winner if something like WW3 occurred.
4460  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Alex Jones and Trump on: February 09, 2017, 03:17:53 AM
Alex Jones is one of the people who I see in two lights, he's a guy who will go out and be super straight forward about what he believes and I do like a person like that, though I'm not a fan of everything he speaks I would consider him to have a conservative bias the same way the Mainstream media has a liberal bias.

People may say that Alex is absolutely mad and is crazy and I could agree to them to a certain extent, but at least we know how insane he is compared to the people who do everything behind the curtains. He kind of reminds me of Trump when he is very outright with what he thinks and how he says things.
