4461  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to 13k. FORECAST on: June 18, 2021, 11:59:17 PM
Failure to break out of range upwards suggestions we can once again test the lower boundaries to this recent lower range for BTC pricing for the 2021 trend.

In summary its mostly been sideways while tracking between these two extremes during the last month, a really good trade comes from anticipating some new trend on any timescale but for the moment we are consolidating at best.  Its also possible to speculate this failure to recover higher prices could lead further down but I dont see thats a foregone conclusion just yet.

BTC needs to beat 39k and below 2 day average but its above weekly, monthly ma and definitely in an area to do damage to any negative trends which might take this whole month.  It might matter more how main market sentiment resolve as we had some pull back for todays FED statement though it was weak as hell, the slightest idea FED could raise rates apparently is enough.   Ultimately it wont matter what they say the whole situation will slip like a greased pig, ludicrous to imagine the FED holds the reigns.  If they were ever a source of integrity or stability they were compromised by a dual mandate.

Not sure how gambling is seen as a big risk

Ease of gambling would be the biggest risk, in comparison to the compulsion to do anything.   You can get an Endorphins rush from exercising, its a healthy reaction most of the time but it is also possible to get addicted to a feeling and then exercise too much and amazingly its possible to die that way from pushing yourself too far.  That would be a rare way to end up in a bad way most of the time because most people get tired out exercising, it has a natural control to the activity that discourages the over use of that endorphin release.
Gambling is possible to take very far very easily because the nature of our money lets people borrow, some parts of the world limit borrowing as its outlawed or you must travel far away to access the gambling but most of the world you can overspend and get into trouble easily, thats the main reason gambling is seen so negatively.    I think over eating is another very easy activity, our modern culture and productive society made food and calories cheap and convenient, now it can become an addiction.  All of these activities mentioned including gambling are fine if done on a set basis, thats my advise to most people come back another day dont expect to always win every session it is best to step away and give luck another try another day.
4464  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Elon going to sell his BTCs? on: June 16, 2021, 11:07:32 PM
For every sale there is a buyer, that is the requirement of a trade.   What matters is the usage of the coins, empty speculation ends up resolving downwards because its just throwing back and forth to each other until nobody wants it.   If he has a plan for usage then great but overall the entire blockchain must keep improving and proving itself useful to the world and thats the real question.   Tesla has to declare major movements in their assets and holdings, they can hedge but that costs a fee; I think as a global company they can find a usage.
The biggest negative is Tesla has operations in China and now China wants no link to BTC otherwise it can easily be a useful blockchain for them.
4465  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't know what to think on: June 15, 2021, 11:58:14 PM
I follow TA alot and none of it gives certainties, its giving scenarios which may happen and in that foresight you are better able to trade.   Moving averages are just simple indicators thats all it relates to, because this particular idea includes the 50 day its about trading not considering BTC to hold or not.   You dont actually to worry too much about trading, its nice to buy at a low during a month but just being part of a rising trend also year to year is enough also.

Mostly we have uncertainty, patterns of selling but the 200 day is rising every day also which means long term positive price action.    The blue and yellow are averages that are very probable to meet
4466  Economy / Speculation / Re: I cannot stop buying on: June 15, 2021, 11:50:01 PM
Just make sure you are ready for all outcomes, the reason market reverses to such a large extent (which gives us bargain pricing comparatively tbh) is overwound expectations.  Then we have to spend weeks months or even years after 2017 till a faithful few get their nominal return, if you have patience you should be ok but quite a few maybe myself even can be changeable and decide to trade out at a lower price.   I'd definitely agree with scaling in over time, like as much as 12 months is totally reasonable.   You wont lose out running a marathon not a sprint, from everything Im observed BTC is amazingly gifted with longevity that almost no one presumed there and they keep doubting it now.   So long as the idea of BTC is a usable protocol accumulating in use for larger parts of the world which I think is quite feasible for years then price will follow.
In short dont over do it, totally avoid leaning into a buy with money you cant leave here..
4467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley on: June 15, 2021, 12:57:21 AM
So long as you take it as just a show less a competitive event I think its ok, I dont think I can label it as too serious a bet for an outcome not held to normal rules.   We've had fair warning now with the 2 draws that its far more probable to occur then normal fights.

Amanda has acted in some sketches with both brothers, I think they are all related in a group for making videos for views.  I remember they released a few rap songs dis tracks, got some decent revenue from online plays that way They've expanded into this space as entertainment and that's how I'll judge, can I blame them really when they making big bucks its fair game Tongue
4468  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to 13k. FORECAST on: June 14, 2021, 11:59:34 PM
BTC this low is near a 200 day average, thats the simplest take but also we have to resolve why should crypto pricing reduce so low with a fairly large amount of investment placed in it and also a dollar base leaking value from inflation constantly.   If crypto is growing, it has a utility and usage and if improving in efficiency then I dont expect 13k to be a normal event but only as an extreme will it occur which makes it a good trade to take same as the 65k high was a trade to sell, this low if occurring is an opportunity to buy and I hope I realize this chance.
I've put this big low idea on my radar as a scenario, I dont know it occurs but I totally want to be ready if it does so I can trade it actively without too much fear or apprehension.    Just from experience I know its easy to make mistakes so my ideal is to be ready for everything and able to put it to my advantage if I can by knowing how we might react at this time beforehand.

Gambling in fact has many negative externalities

I'll easily counter this, risk is a normality.   Government, nor any person can remove the reality of the unknowns of life, the difficulties of multiple possibilities.   We cant even remove the negatives of bad weather and the constant roulette wheel the world spins on every revolution daily.    Some events can be deadly, some minor and almost all of them have a financial impact to us big or small every day, just plain rain will increase traffic jams and slow progress to business and people generally, harsh rain is easily take a hundred thousand in cost from lost productivity.   Ask any farmer if he believes in luck, his crops can fail from no personal fault.
To eliminate gambling removes none of these negatives just a game and people can be addicted to anything unfortunately and of course we help people any time possible.
4470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ohio offering lottery prize worth one million for those that get the COVID shot on: June 14, 2021, 11:53:33 PM
$315 million in 2002

Thanks to inflation a million isnt even alot any more, dont count on it keeping you till retire and beyond really.    Best thing people can do with these sudden sums of money is work indirectly, dont spend it up front but remove all future costs so every earning you have is free and clear but you arent so removed from normal life that somehow you ironically are worse off by being less normal.
So the first thing to do with cash is pay off any future housing needs, thats practically an investment to do so.    300m would have been enough to have a nice house in every state and truly experience and live throughout your own country, what a gift because personally I dont love hotels or rate them for a real taste of a state.   Pension, healthcare coverage for decades all that will easily exceed a million as a normal cost all of us have.   Most people are crap with money, to be honest we already know this hence I'd never spend it directly.

A quarter run through the vaccine easily justifies the competition, sounds like its a win for all.  It could have been wasted on excess advertising which people go out of their way to ignore.   The state overall will gain from earlier productivity and less death and illness which across an entire population will save more money then the cost of this.   I wish government was always this smart really.
4471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 World’s Strongest Man on: June 14, 2021, 11:35:10 PM
The problem with an all round event is regulating any variation in the competition events to make overall results and betting fair.   The stunt moving the plane is possible depends on the gearing and friction present in order to move it, there is a Guinness world record for it so I guess its always possible but I dont know how much they involve themselves with setting recognised standards.   Generally there has to be some body overseeing events to ensure they are valid.   Record is 188.83 tons and was last set in 2009, surprisingly long time ago but I guess it will cost fair bit of money to setup each attempt.
4472  Economy / Gambling / Re: Smoke em if you got em on: June 14, 2021, 11:01:11 PM
After long time, finally I won something more solid from Freebitco.in faucet. Yes, it's not $200 or $20, but even $2 isn't bad. Haven't won such reward for long time already Smiley

Good luck counts whatever and similarly I've found it hard to win on that faucet draw.   I did however just win the 5000 btc prize on the wheel spin and even on the daily spin I've managed to do that more then once so I think the luck is favoring people hence I encourage people to spin at least once a day if they are using the faucet.   This is the correct allocation even if the captcha is testing every sinew of my body mind and spirit with the latest tests now challenging my knowledge of women's fashion, its truly an epic struggle Cheesy

The reason I post now is we are just inching across the line that starts to reduce the wheel rewards from the 5000 mark, I guess its around the $40,000 mark basically.   Now it shaves off a little to adjust the prizes to a certain level, some people like myself tend to stockpile the spins up a bit (maybe you are afk etc) and I'd advise using the quick function right now in case it reduces that nominal value.   Actual value wont go down because the BTC won is worth more itself but you get what I mean, would be good to use wheel spins up sooner rather then later.

my bot is having an existential crisis now you've called its sentience into question but the crtrl F5 tip is just one Ive used for years long before BTC transacted at any price and Ive been thanked a hundred times for that because old copies of a page is a common complaint; of course you may experience differently
4473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Big companies finally had enough of the excessive tax on: June 14, 2021, 09:36:45 PM
Theres a question of open government or authoritarian regime where you can only buy at set prices in pre defined ways decided by those in politics.  It doesnt work generally or we'd be celebrating communism or the genius of Venezuela policies; instead China uses capitalism as a better system and generally its quite obvious forcing something through 'for the good of the people' is a poor action long term for most things.
The reason why taking 20% off every gamble made is poor is not by any political difference but maths, it will reduce revenue and in the end the government wont get the taxation revenue either it is expecting because they will have reduced usage of these local companies.   Likely all that happens is that outside firms benefit rather then those close to the football clubs who would sponsor them directly.
Government needs to be a light touch or it easily becomes an interference and even obstruction that makes all its people poorer and worse off.  There is no section of government producing or creating profits, all of it is at cost to the people so all matters should be to influence not dominate or the country suffers.
4474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling tax proposal in Ukraine on: June 14, 2021, 09:08:13 PM
the government decided that it's a good cash cow to sustain the government's financial need

Its not a one off, any country has a benefit from this industry and similar that are counter cyclical which means they dont especially reduce in revenue during a recession which is important to government fiscal budget balance.   It adds stability basically, quite ironic but gambling revenue helps a country stay more stable through swings in the economy because bet revenue stays so frequent and regular.
Any tax has to be quite light to allow operations to stay competitive vs the wider alternatives globally because no country can afford to cut itself off from the world now and be better off.

Bought it for 57 satoshi on Saturday to complete 5K FUN.
I thought the price would go up because today BTC went up but FUN dropped by 3 satoshis.

The price is rising in dollar I would guess but in ratio to BTC its not so surprising it drops back when BTC rises so fast at once.    For both to rise together would be outperformance and not many things will do this in the same moment BTC rises.
My take on distribution for this and every type of alt coin is that value revolves after BTC lets off the accelerator.   So long as BTC is rising only yearly or the 200 day average then I'd expect its beneficial both to hold BTC and also the benefits of this token too.   Actually something similar is true of dollar and all the markets traded in dollar, when its rising in value it can easily bring down prices in markets.
I added a couple more anyhow, I was hoping BTC would falter back to 20k area for me to swap some value over at that time and a good exchange rate.   Now its going sideways, tide change is the least apparent movement.
4476  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $65,000 the peak of this bull market? on: June 14, 2021, 01:29:15 AM
It'd be a better question to ask is 65k the highest for this year, I'd say there is a good probability of that because good things take time and we've had hype cycle so I consider it'll be a while which is no negative its just requiring patience really.
To answer forever then surely I dont think thats the all time high ever seen just like I dont think we go to zero, it will accumulate in the same way the dollar is certainly unable to repay its debts made without default which is far too controversial and disruptive now.   Obviously we dont have a clear path, I'm not saying like it must happen but on balance I consider the path of least resistance and it ends with crypto higher so far as I see.

Apex might be a great game, but is it a great spectator game and its not a given it can be bet on and so on.   Usually the game needs to relatable and straightforward to support good audience figures, I reckon CS is ideal because how obvious an outcome: exploded or not for round conclusions.   I have a bias towards simplicity that's my take on alot of things in terms of mass success.   I reckon team or games with alot of teamwork are for some reason better for betting also.

April 2021, many months after its release on Steam, Apex peaked at 228,439 simultaneous players during Season 8

Thats good but I never think of this one for betting, not right now anyhow.

Easy money on Gambit. OG are no match for Gambit.

Big player I know just said Gambit fall apart as soon as they have to justify themselves on LAN.   They have a world title winner but I dont doubt dynamics will change not to mention the idea of new maps and other changes.  I like Valve for this reason, they just keep messing with stuff for fun but often it can upset too especially pro teams with months of practise Shocked
4478  Economy / Speculation / Re: Number of transactions declining in last 2 months. on: June 13, 2021, 11:33:27 PM
Alot more internal transactions I think and fees are very discouraging to activity, I'm never too bullish on BTC when fees get silly because Im determined the mainstream and quite ordinary budgets of the masses are far more important then the latest statement from Elon.
I'd say its a reflection of the price and maybe the percentage of speculators.    Consider the amount of BTC being held inside a fund which then resells that unit of ownership and adds a management fee and so on, its no longer an on chain transaction at that point.   We certainly do have an ongoing trend of mainstream FIAT involvement or put simply holders.   I'd rather crypto activity rises but it wont be linear how we develop.

Trade the range if you can at any point, seems good advice and thread title refers to the range of market sentiment which is most recognizable to us and is why we can still rate over automated computer based trading bots which never sleep, we can see the reactions and pick an opposite because people over react.

I would also say we have a simple price range still in effect, the price right now rose very positively but its also just a repeat of prices from start of the year.   Hence we could be top of the range and likely to reverse and repeat downwards again, its not for certain but I presume we operate in a box till we confidently leave that area properly.
4480  Economy / Speculation / Re: nrd525 Market Tracker on: June 13, 2021, 08:43:05 PM
Would be interesting how its implemented because of the variance in Bitcoin value.  Will be interesting to see the problems and solutions encountered in a normal population especially physical goods.   To pay small amounts and pay immediately its not a massive deal so long as the fees to transact are similar to cash which is possible because this is an expense for business normally that isnt always popular; I'd probably resort to a tab or account solution where you transact in set amounts and pay out of that running credit.
The bigger problem is the whole system of payment for order, business to business where an invoice is given and time taken to pay off that bill, days weeks even and the price altering alot during that time could be upsetting and costly possibly.   What would have to happen is a fair amount of hedging which is not abnormal for some but a small business doesn't normally engage with forex hedging costs and operations, if its conveniently done and efficient its not a problem .

Price is upto a monthly average now which helps put it back at the top of range where as it had fallen to the bottom quite recently.   Possibly its broken some down trend or is challenging such inertia well now.
