I just see that 8 of my posts are deleted for nothing by chmod. He didn't remove his posts from his threads since he know he will lose a lot post counts on his Bit-X signature payout. Screwing up other people's post count is ok for him, doesn't make sense.
I think Bit-x stopped paying for posts in Press didn't they? It was obvious chmod was just spamming articles in there for payment and he's only recently stopped. Maybe he was pissed at not getting paid and vindictively decided to remove everything he could. I know he has the right to delete any post he want in his self moderate threads. But this is destroying the ability that people have to have a discussion in his threads. I will never ever post in self moderated threads ever again. Problem solved. |

chmod755 has successfully managed to screw up campaigns which depend on post count.
Don't post in threads that are self-modded if you're worried about this. People who start them usually really love to use the delete button so I wouldn't waste my time. |

Question to the mods: If there is an existing self-moderated topic, is it acceptable to create a duplicate topic which is not self-moderated? That would help avoid these kind of situations. I don't see why topics in the press board should be self-moderated.
I would say it probably would not be acceptable. Duplicate threads are usually deleted. If someone is self-modding a thread then you are free to create another censor-free one. It even recommends you do that in the PM you get which is posted above. |

It's silly and counter-productive leaving negatives for this. Doesn't do anything to stop it and all you're doing is making people look unnecessarily bad and inevitably forcing them to create new accounts to sell from (and ironically are more likely to scam from those accounts seeing as they're throwaways). You might consider stopping the account farming. Then he/she might remove the negative trust...
Why should he? It's not against the rules and shouldn't be forced to stop just because Jonald doesn't like it. Jonald should just remove the feedback unless he is now willing to be the account sales police and be consistent in leaving anyone negative feedback who has or is selling accounts. Going by the feedback he has left on op he also needs to tag shorena, zazarb, Outlander, laosai, AccountTrader, knightdk, FruitsBasket and the dozens of other members that are selling accounts in Digital Goods or Auctions every day. |

It is a lot of work but that's why he needs to pay someone to do it for him if he is unwilling or unable to do it himself. If he's not willing to do it himself or pay someone then he needs to shut down the campaign and look at alternative means of advertising. You can't just pay people dust to spam shit all over the forum and not do anything about it. He really needs to completely overhaul this campaign and not pay for certain sections or at the very least hire someone who is going to make sure that spammers are kicked off swiftly and not paid.
And one more of the problem is, secondstrade is really afraid of the campaign manager being so strict and exclude most number of posts from their participants even those are low quality/spam. Im not really sure why he thinks that way tho Has he actually said that because if true then he is obviously only concerned with having his advert shat all over the forum as cheaply as possible and will have little to no interest in cleaning up the quality of posts. |

I know that database access can be dangerous, but what if they just had read-only access. Then that staff member would only need to be trusted to not give any information away. He can read what is in the database in order to ask the right questions but can't modify it so it isn't harmful to the site if the wrong command is sent.
Also with sending the reset emails, why would this need database access? The user is providing an email address and there is already an automatic mechanism to send the recovery emails and to reset the password through that email. Couldn't the staff member just send that recovery email for an account to the specified address?
Having access to that sort of information is still a massive responsibility, but a person would need some sort of access to the database to reset accounts etc. |

OP why don't you remove all spammers I know you have list for spammers. I think that is the way you can control everything. Because its there fault to be spammers. So you can kick off the spammers so everyone or anyone here will not do the same as spammers did. Also for the new comers. i don't have ability can distinguish spammers and normal users precisely .  Then either hire someone who can or close the campaign. It's not difficult. If you hire someone who can do the job properly then all your problems are solved and the forum will be better off because there will be no spammers. If you continue to do nothing you're either going to end up with negative feedback or banned because you cannot continue to pay people to shit all over the forum. I don't care who you employ as long as they do the job if you're unable or unwilling to do it but you need to make some changes pretty fast. Im the one who checked the posts of his participants for FREE but i already told secondstrade that i cant continue doing it for him since there are too many participants, however i suggested him that dont count games and rounds and local boards coz many of his participants are posting nonsense and only making the max post limit in 2-3 days but still he still want to continue the same rules which is paying the very low quality of posters encoraging them to spam more and be paid. I looked into bitcoin accepting seedboxes a while ago and most seemed to favor large scale purchases. yourseedbox.com has a 2 euro/month shared plan which is the smallest & cheapest I could find.
