4461  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of Phishing Emails like this on: August 28, 2020, 12:36:31 PM
Just be more careful, scammers even can send emails from the same email of the domain name. They would make spoofing mail and send it to you, so it would look like an original mail. Before submitting anything via email forms its mandatory to verify from the original website. Because this isn't something personal, if they offer something like this then they must have information on the website.

On the other hand, we should use our common sense. Greedy behavior is one of the most preventional objects to avoid such as scam attempts. Convince your mind that nothing is free in the world.
4462  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance app on: August 28, 2020, 08:15:05 AM
I have been using Binance apps for a long time. From the beginning the apps logout after a specific time. I can't recall it if that was a month or half month. When I hadn't logged for a long time then I faced this issue. But no, I wasn't forced to logout. I thought this is normal behavior due to security reasons although I didn't search deep about it since it wasn't a huge issue. Logout frequently would be a problem, but I never faced frequent logout.
4463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to Bitcoin in the long term? on: August 28, 2020, 07:51:50 AM
I am not worried about mining rewards. Have you even think that before 5 years what was the bitcoin price? Of course, it was very low compared with the current price. So we can expect an appropriate price even the end of the block rewards. Still, there will be the existence of transaction fees which will enough to cover mining cost and miners will in profit more than now IMO. A similar topic has been discussed many times, so please use the search button to know more details about it.
4464  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's the cheapest way to transfer money from Coinbase.Pro to Binance? on: August 27, 2020, 07:37:33 PM
Sometimes I have been using coinbase. Fees are reasonable enough for me. The first thing they use SegWit to transfer funds. They just haven't sent your funds on a single transaction. They always include many addresses on the same transaction. That's how they reduce transaction costs. Remembers, when you are broadcasting a transaction into blockchain, the amount doesn't matter. The matter is transaction size (input/output). More amount doesn't mean more fees.

So this time there seems no fees involved - is this possible? Or are there any hidden fees I am not aware of?
Transaction fees have been deducted during the transaction. I think you hadn't sent full funds and they sent whatever you typed the amount, fees deducted from the remaining amount.
4465  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Money stolen from blockchain.com on: August 27, 2020, 02:47:45 PM
We can do nothing but comfort you. I am assuming Basu, not a blockchain bug. If there are transaction details on your wallet and the details the same as on the explorer means it was hacked. Most probably your device or mail has been hacked which was related to blockchain wallet. Hacker would use a wallet file if it exists in the mail. Otherwise, your device was controlled by hackers. Any wallet isn't safe if you can't save your credentials. Anyway, just try to avoid use a web wallet and use a hardware wallet when you are storing such amounts of funds.
4466  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Help with Electrum on: August 27, 2020, 11:15:15 AM
The best solution is, move all the funds by following methods mentioned by @BitMaxz. Just make sure you have full control of the wallet where you are sending funds. Once the transaction becomes confirmed then remove your current version of the Electrum wallet including wallet files. Clean your computer and install the newer version of the Electrum from the original website. Then create a standard wallet and write your seed on multiple hard papers, keep them safe on multiple safe places. Backup your wallet files and don't save your seeds into any online machine.

Anyway, good to see that you are asking for advice before happening and incident.
4467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting Bitcoin for sales in a volatile market. on: August 27, 2020, 10:45:21 AM
The problem is you don't want quote price with USD, so most probably you have to update product price in bitcoin within a specific time. Setting auto integration would problem during checkout. So you have to set an algorithm with a time limit of like 6 hours. Means if the price of Bitcoin falls within 6 hours then your product price will be increased, if the bitcoin price raise then the product price will be a drop in bitcoin. For that, you should mention your website for transparent deals. It would be automatically or manually as well. The idea of referring to this forum to know more about bitcoin is great. So your clients would learn more about bitcoin.
4468  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy over health on: August 26, 2020, 04:59:31 PM
I do not agree with those who are opening their border for tourism. Most probably Costa Rica took a wrong decision and they would regret that in near future. It's better "stay safe than sorry", who knows if in case spread the viruses once again then it will be very difficult to control. I like those countries just open basic needs organizations. The economy should recover slowly, it wouldn't recover suddenly. A wrong decision would lead to more losses.
4469  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲 ERC20Casino.com 🎲 The first casino specialized in ERC20 tokens 🎲 on: August 26, 2020, 12:18:42 PM
Why is Google preventing me to visit this site and showing a red warning? Is something going suspicious here? Anyone using their casino to gamble?

Seems OP isn't active lately nor responding on the thread. I don't know how the idea casino with ERC20 worthless tokens came into their mind and how long it will take the way of success. But personally, I don't think that idea is going to work at all. I know there is few potential existing ERC20, but when you will come to the new, then worthless word has to be added.
4470  Other / Meta / Re: How are we expected to rank up? on: August 26, 2020, 08:35:07 AM
Welcome to the forum, your answer is on your question. Not sure if this is your primary account, but you are smart enough.

I decided it's time for me to start posting and contributing to the forums and hopefully learn more.
Bold part is the one who can help your rank up. But I an wondering, was it necessary to think about your rank up in your first post? You should ask yourself why you need to rank up? Because rank will not prevent you from your contributions. More important is to be an established member of the forum by your contributions. Many users rank up after the implementation of the merit system, for example, me.

However, learn to use the search button. So you may avoid creating such an unnecessary post in the future.
4471  Other / Meta / Re: Spam advertisement on: August 26, 2020, 08:21:14 AM
A spammer can make a post anywhere, that's why they are a spammer. Simply just report to moderators and they are very active to trash such as a post. Often I have been doing the same and seems moderators are quite active to remove posts. The accused thread has been deleted by moderators, please lock this thread.
4472  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] CyberTron Plagiarized Whitepaper. (Possible ponzi schemes) on: August 26, 2020, 08:10:22 AM
It's quite interesting that they launch a bounty campaign directly instead of creating announcement threads. Even there is a clear Ponzi plan, bounty hunters are not caring about that. Even OP has been tagged, new bounty post has been creating. Eventually, they will cry in this section. Plagiarized whitepaper and Ponzi plan itself is enough to call them frauds. So, investors and hunters would lose funds and time here. The token name itself is suspicious to me. Adding Tron name with the token doesn't make it legit.
4473  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lucius is signature spammer by dkbit98 ? on: August 26, 2020, 07:47:21 AM
Nah, I can't call you a spammer by the way. But to be honest, the post wasn't necessary. Whoever wearing paid signature, most of them I think encounter spammer title. Also, dkbit98 hadn't called you a spammer as I can see on the quote. Simply speaking "you filled your signature quota" isn't the same thing as call a spammer. But yes, if you say it's a criticism, then I would agree. I am making this post, will not it fill my signature quota? So if you call me a spammer for that, I wouldn't mind at all. As others said, build your skin more thicker.

Local rule : dkbit98&btcltcdigger are not allowed to post here - their opinion is already quite familiar to me.
Not agree, you should allow them since even you mentioned the name on the topic title. This thread-like your reputation thread, so reputation thread shouldn't self-moderated.

4474  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Probably a stupid question. on: August 25, 2020, 09:37:56 AM
First of all, you can't trace bitcoin before you receive it. That means before received into your wallet you are unable to know if that coin has been used for any criminal activity. To avoid these, you have to ensure the sources of funds are a few suggestions that have been given above. One more strong option is, accept bitcoin via bitcoin mixer. You may provide an address from mixer to seller, so he will send it here and you will receive it after mixed into your wallet. Once you will use a reputed mixer then there is very little chance to get involved transaction with criminal activity.

For selling, the better option is to use peer to peer exchange where KYC isn't required like LocalCryptos. So you shouldn't have any problems at all during buying and sell.
4475  Economy / Reputation / Re: [self-moderated] Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source on: August 24, 2020, 09:36:58 AM
Requesting to merit source for help rank up.
User: Bitcoin_Arena (current rank Sr. Member)

Just now noticed this user has enough activity to rank up but there is a lack of a small number of merits. He needs 33 Merits to become Hero Member. I far as I know he is a good poster and quite active reporting scams on the scam accusation board. So I will not mention any specific posts, rather than you may visit post history.

I am out of my source merits, hope someone will help him if he deserves.
4476  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk Account seller on: August 24, 2020, 06:20:40 AM
That was some honest effort put in by @coolcryptovator, but as suggested in that thread, users should not make it a habit of messaging members off the forum in search of evidence. This could easily turn into a circle of accusations as we had here.
That's true, there would be problems in the future. We should be careful about it before going any contract with the seller. Because it would be a written contract that would lead to flag drama later on. If someone wants to investigate they can do, but just be careful with written contract flags. For more safety, you should inform a trusted member that you are going to investigate this case. So it would help you to prevent at least the claim of account buy. To be honest I wasn't aware of such as flags which were reminded by marlboroza.
4477  Economy / Reputation / Re: Sorry everyone on: August 24, 2020, 06:10:26 AM
Good to see that you have realized your mistakes and ready for a cure. For the future, just remember one thing "prevention is better than cure" and "better to stay safe than say sorry". Anyway, you are not punished for it since moderators removed the thread without punishment. But it would be more appropriate if you concentrate your post quality. Merit could be earned by your contributions, doesn't necessarily merit begging.
4478  Economy / Economics / Re: Are people losing faith from centralized organizations? on: August 23, 2020, 04:58:33 PM
Well, even peoples are not losing faith from centralized organizations but there are some problems in my country. The government of my country announced lately that they will not responsible for bankruptcy. If a bank goes bankrupt, means you lost your money. This wasn't a real-time and perfect decision, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Most probably that's why I have seen that picture to our banks. Possibly people's withdrawing money to confrontation the bad situation or both would be a reason why banks are becoming empty.
4479  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is this merit begging? on: August 23, 2020, 01:07:57 PM
Seems thread has been trashed. Noticed from Archived thread, sending merit on the thread will lead to acceptance and will increase the chance of acceptance. It would be considered merit trading & merit begging as well. Although it wasn't mandatory, participants will get accepted if they send merit, whoever will not send merit probably they will not be accepted or chances are very low. This isn't right to ask to send merit to the thread as a campaign manager.
4480  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Holders have an opportunity to earn interest due to cred partnership on: August 23, 2020, 08:23:50 AM
Bitcoin isn't related to the Bitcoin.com site, Bitcoin is decentralized and it will remain. Roger is involved with multiple shady activities from the beginning. So I am not positive with this movement nor interested to involve. It would be a trick to make more popular his BCH and sell via his website. I will not consider it something special, it's just the same as other lending platforms those would be ended up as a scam.
