Voted for the Bills to beat the Steelers too, but this....

I'm concerned that the Bills are going to beat my Pats next week.

....is the reason, why I am not really convinced. I think the Bills players might already be a week ahead with their minds. Pats are vulnerable right now and Bills would love to march out of Foxboro with a W and destroying the Pats hope of somehow still getting that 1st seed in the AFC; it's more important to them than getting that W at the Steelers (not for the record of course, but for their pride). It's a short-ish week for the Bills with playing SNF at Pittsburgh and then going for another road game at the Patriots already on Saturday. Betting-wise I won't touch this one, no need to try to get it right for such a tough one.

Thats a good point.

Yeah, if your going to fake your death leaving a body behind is pretty much on the top of dumb arsed moves. Personally I think they beat the keys out of him and there is not going to be one Iota of Dna left to find. Thats not the part of the world you want to be alone with 100+mil.

Of course it will be good short term as all the usdt will flee and guess where its going to go?

I like the Bill's in this one.  This was a Bill's team that was so close to beating baltimore.  I dont think they will actually have to much issue with the steelers.  Even though it's on the road I can see the Bill's winning by 7+ points.  Might be worth adding points to the spread and getting really good odds

Thats a pretty decent bet IMO, If they win it should be a decent margin.

I went with the Steelers in the poll as they would want to stay in the top 6 which they need to keep winning with the Titans hot on their tail while the Bills can afford to lose this game so that's my way of thinking. Also this week I'm liking the Packers to beat the Bears even though the Bears have been in decent form. I'm still looking for an upset which can add some value into my parlay but right now I have the Steelers and Packers winning.

What they want and what they can accomplish may two different things. Grin
Maybe the Skins for an upset if your a gambler?
4467  Economy / Economics / Re: From 2020, the sale and custody of Bitcoin will be allowed to all German banks on: December 13, 2019, 10:57:39 PM
Apparently not only German banks are starting to think about this kind of services:

Exclusive: ING working on digital assets custody technology - sources

Quote

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Dutch bank ING (INGA.AS) is working on developing technology to help clients safely store digital assets, according to people familiar with the matter.

The custody project, which is being run out of Amsterdam, is still in its early days and is one of the bank’s several initiatives around blockchain, the technology underlying cryptocurrencies, the sources said.

Yes, they are all working on a technology to do what can already be done with the available tools.

Translation is we are working on ways to control your use of bitcoin because we cannot defeat it.

My only Apple product was an iPhone. Using it felt like I was a kid locked in a glass house, that had to ask for permission from Daddy to do anything useful, and always had to do it the way Daddy wanted, because "Daddy knows best". Of course, some people like that. Not me.

W0rd and didn't you love how all the unclean android users were a puke green color instead of the nice bright Blue hipsters?

Kind of funny I read this right after posting that. ^^^

Colonoscopy is usually done under anaesthetic, yeah? I’d just get it done to be honest buddy. Colectoral cancer is one of the biggest killers, I think. You can get polyps that can progress into cancer but be totally unaware of them.
Just get it done & know that you’re safe nutildah.

No point having loads of bitcoin when we MOON if you’re ill Smiley

Make sure you get it done Smiley

I've had "the finger" too, a few years ago. No anesthetic. Was only for examination, for "feeling" the area. Was not as bad as I thought it would be.

And what's up with you guys? Are you all a bunch of gays? Two pages of posts and no #no homo tag? Damn!

They only do that with Bob, thats racist right?

Nice to see that y'all are getting the dental work done, take good care of yourselves!

Goddamn cap fell out from behind my implant last month and I thought it was a tooth and the dentist was like that was an expensive cap you tossed. Doh

4469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The Essential NFL Thread 🏈🏈 - new poll every week on: December 13, 2019, 10:20:15 PM
For the record I went with the Steelers in the poll... Bills have indeed been improving but I think Steelers are the better late season team and know how to win in crunch time. Bills had a playoff drought from 1999 - 2017 when they lost to the Jags. Meanwhile, Steelers have been to the playoffs 11 times during that period.

I do need your guys' opinion on who to start for my QB:

Carson Wentz

or

Jameis Winston

This is for the victory in my fantasy league. Winston is projected to score about 30% higher than Wentz, which is quite significant, and it could make or break my team this week. On one hand, Winston is great for fantasy teams, on the other than, Wentz's team needs a W for the playoffs. Who would you go with?

Jameis Winston

Seems Steelers will have no Juju this week.

I'm concerned that the Bills are going to beat my Pats next week.

It will be interesting to see if the Pats can get their shit together this week and the bills/steelers will be a litmus test for that matchup.
4470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The Essential NFL Thread 🏈🏈 - new poll every week on: December 13, 2019, 04:26:16 PM
@nutildah. Can you change the poll? I suggest polling the wild cards Steelers versus the Buffalo Bills game hehe.

Hah. Funny you should mention that. I chose Steelers/Bills and updated it before reading this comment.

New Poll

321 - Buffalo Bills
322 - Pittsburgh Steelers

The spread is currently -1.5 Steelers. Both teams need this game to get in the playoffs, should be an exciting matchup.

My internet has been fucked for the past 3 days so that's why I was a bit late.. Checked in to a hotel just to use their Wifi for work... ended up spending most of the day looking at Facebook and YouTube.  Roll Eyes

Steelers are tough at Heinz Field but The bills D has been dominating and i don't think Pittsburg can muster the air game if washington can be contained which shouldn't be too hard with their third string QB out there. Washington started off the year with a ton of dropped balls and I had both him and Moncrief (I remembered he was a drop machine from the colts but figured he might man up, what happened to him?) at draft and watched them close the first few games. juju has been a massive disappointment and cannot fill #1 receiver role. So the key looks to shut down washington for the bills. And the bills are good at just grinding out points even though they don't put alot up they are consistent. So I have to go for the Bills upset and the Steelers will have to figure out if Ben is even worth keeping for next year without Brown. I'm gonna make a prediction Allen scoring a rshing TD will be the difference this game.

Looks like we are split at 2-2 so far in the poll, good choice.

Its funny as I have not applied a m$ "Security patch" since SP1 was released (only added sp1 as its a dependency to later libraries) and run so few services that none of them have ever been effected with redmonds backdoors. i even had SMB disabled from day one except for when i had to use it and then only enabled it during that period. decades of watching M$ open backdoors disguised as bugs has taught me how to harden a winblows system to quite a degree. I finally was forced to win 7 for directx 11 (10.1 was hackable into xp) but there is no way I'll allow them to force 10 anywhere near me. Its better just to build an independent gaming system and use a switch box and isolate the network while using it.

Grab a copy of process hacker and rip 3/4 of all that shit out, and don't be surprised when you install a m4 update that it re-enables all those unrelated backdoors you had just closed.

And don't forget to disable all those telnet remote drivers M$ hides from you.

3-5 filter low hanging fruit
6-10 = maybe good minimum
11-15 = maybe also good, but maybe too high. Some good members who aren't noticed won't get this much.

50+ = account farmers who have multiple alts can easily get this and stuff it all into one account (at the risk of getting all their alts linked together by a merit abuse bounty hunter.)

I was thinking these are a good honey pot to look for those accounts, but now they have been warned. Tongue

I think at least 50+ earned merit would be good

50 merit in a couple of months cuts out a lot of perfectly serviceable members who don't get noticed all that much. You can fluke 3-5 in that amount of time. 10-15 is a more solid figure.

Agreed.

I vote they cannot be on my ignore list. Grin

So one would guess Free BSD tools would work as they were back ported yes?

If you get them to compile, which is quite a mess.
Most of the GNU stuff is available as backport, however. You can try other source packages, but i can tell you that i didn't have much luck with that.

I wouldn't waste one second of my time supporting an Apple product.

Well I guess I did by pointing out where to find the tools. Smiley

Solution: switch to linux

I haven't worked on a a Mac since the mid 90's but afaik Macs are now on a Linux kernel so there should be a workaround

It's a Unix of some sort, but it's not linux.

OSX is derived from FreeBSD, it has no roots in Linux at all.
Though cups and few other goodies are contributed by Apple for all BSDs and Linux.

Yeah, I don't bother with apple so my memory is scetchy at the best of times and I'm not surprised I though it was linux when it was unix.

But my point that the kernel is BSD accessible so the tools exist.

its game over never going back as can be seen with bitcoin.

Perhaps you can explain how specifically bitcoin has suffered from the existence of ASICs?

You have inferred I have stated that bitcoin has suffered but i have not. The Asic eco system is a much different animal than it is now. Now it is dominated while back them there were many players trying to get in and the effort was more decentralized and hence the effort itsself led to a distribution of solutions while in a monero sence there will be one chip that will be as close to optimized as possible and held by those that invest the most and whether that will be the masses or not is debatable.

But that does not mean I do not think it has suffered as I think it has led to vectors of attack that would be unacceptable for Monero.

You cannot draw a parallel between the market industry then and now as there were not even hybrid FPGAs back then.

I believe if we do fork to a asic friendly algo we should crowd source a asic board that can installed in peoples systems as that will broaden market adoption far more than just telling everyone "Ok go buy you bitmain miners for the next upgrade".

Big Spread in the final Thursday night game of the season.

Jets +16.5 O/U 44.5

16.5 points is a lot to cover but I think the Ravens at home against the Jets will cover this easily.

Is Lamar playing?

OK, just checked and apparently he's supposed to but they may pull him so the game could be closer than the spread.
