4461  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: List of popular Betting Strategies on: July 14, 2017, 09:50:05 PM
The stuff in these articles is mostly general knowledge aimed at newbies that never did bet on anything or did it based on tips from their friends, without thinking it through.
I'm not saying the information isn't worth reading, but there isn't much about strategies in there. That's mainly because there are no good strategies in gambling. The best one would be to find a very experienced gambler, one that plays on intuition and knows his markets, and follow his instructions.
4462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin dead... on: July 14, 2017, 09:38:14 PM
yes is dead now fuck, everyone losse money

Speak for yourself. Bitcoin is not dead... the price is just dropping which is inevitable considering we just experienced a huge bubble. All bubbles burst at some point. With that said, we are bottoming out on this dip and will rebound shortly close to almost $2,300. Then it will go back down to under $2,000 for a long time.
You must be kidding. We are going to be at a new ATH this year when scaling gets resolved. We started from below $1000 and went to almost $3000 in less than 6 months, now we're correcting back to around half of it ($1500) like always. It has happened a number of times before and will keep happening, because this is how this market works.
Each time we start from a higher point, reach a higher high and correct to a higher low. Is it that hard to notice?
4463  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The problem of cemeteries and until where the cemeteries will be sustained? on: July 14, 2017, 09:33:52 PM
Let's not generalize that Hindus burn, while Christians bury. Christians support cremation, it's just that burying is the traditional way and most people still choose it due to this fact. Their grandparents and parents were buried and sometimes they want to join them in a family grave, but times slowly change and more people are choosing cremation due to growing prices of graveyard spots. Also these spots have to be maintained, so every X years your relatives have to rebuy it or they might be auctioned off to someone else.
4464  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Sexbots. Will you be indulging? on: July 14, 2017, 09:22:20 PM
I'm not saving up for it, but if they became widely available and convincing, I'd want to try it out. I'd also like to try virtual reality sex, just to know how it feels. I'm not a sex maniac, but I'm a tech geek, so i'm interested in every little thing technology brings and curious of the effects. Sex bots are a growing market in Japan, because people there are extremely shy.
4465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin at Exchanges on August 1 on: July 14, 2017, 08:28:19 PM
The clever exchanges will host options to support both chains, if it comes down to a chain split. You will need to be able to sell your Original BTC for the JihanVer BTC and visa versa. It would be stupid not to offer people an option to exchange both. This is how, for example Freebitco.in will handle this :

" Recently, there have been discussions about the possibility of a bitcoin hard fork happening so we wanted to address the issue for users who have their coins stored with us.

We feel that the possibility of a hard fork has been greatly exaggerated, however we are prepared to deal with it if it does happen.

If there is a hard fork, we shall always follow the longest chain (the chain with the most proof of work) as our primary coin. Bitcoins on the secondary chain however, will be made available for withdrawal by users after there has been a clear winning chain. So for each satoshi that users have with us, they will receive 2 (or more if there are multiple forks), one on the longest chain and one in the minority chain/s.
"
This is actually even better than if you decided to hold on your wallet, because some wallets will require special actions to spend coins on the minority chain only. From what i've read normally if you send your coins after the fork without changing anything, you will be spending on both chains at the same time.
4466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are holding Bitcoin? on: July 14, 2017, 08:22:25 PM
Personally, I wouldn't hope for that

I don't think that the chain split is a very likely event itself, but if it does really happen, that will be a real catastrophe for Bitcoin. Ethereum got split (as some mentioned it as essentially a non-event with no serious consequences), but no one had been giving a fuck about this coin anyway, while Bitcoin is a completely different matter. If the split should happen for real, it will be a full-fledged civil war with no winners and only losers. So it is not about the value of your investment being halved, it is more about losing this investment altogether
I don't agree. People did care about Ethereum, just look at some charts. It has the second market cap and volume and it used to be a decent coin with a lot of investors before the fork. Now, if we are to compare Ethereum went to the moon soon after it forked and the old chain gained value as well, so depending what you chose to do you could earn or earn a lot, but not lose on it. If Bitcoin were to behave like that we'd have segwit in 2 weeks, followed by a large pump, followed by a fork, and another pump on both chains.
4467  Other / Meta / Re: BAN ALL SIG CAMPAIGNS on: July 14, 2017, 08:10:55 PM
If I had my way any problem campaign would be given a warning and would have few days to clean up their campaign and PM me a list of removed users. If people were still spamming/copying and pasting etc all their bounty and announcement threads would be trashed and their accounts would be banned.
If I may ask, why don't you have your way?

I don't think that this proposal is something controversial, especially considering that these campaigns are incentivising people to break the rules of the forum.
When those of a higher power have shown by lack of action that they couldn't care less about this, does it not then fall to the responsibility of the next in power (yourself and other global moderators/staff members) to take action?

Theymos is the boss. I'm not about to start a mutiny especially for something that is just going to up my workload and cause me nothing but stress and headaches. I can't do anything without his help anyway because it's futile trashing threads or banning accounts when they'll just run the campaigns off site hence why their signatures need to be blacklisted.
Don't you guys have online meetings to discuss the issues at hand? If Theymos is so liberal and doesn't want to interfere, he should at least support democracy and let his staff decide. I mean it isn't that difficult to give warnings to campaign managers that allow mass spam and account farming, or is it?
4468  Other / Meta / Re: • THIS USER IS COPY PASTING • on: July 14, 2017, 08:07:44 PM
You seen idiots running wild this bad ANYWHERE else ?
It's not much better on reddit. People are answering with 1-2 words and usually with something like "this sucks". It's mostly due to campaign requirements. 2 years ago, when they stated no single word posts, it wasn't this bad. Now, when a full sentence is still too short, people who have nothing to say are sweating to make up additional content, and this is what we're getting: "I like Bitcoin because Bitcoin is always going up and Bitcoin is going to make me rich so remember to buy good luck have fun"  Grin
Real example?
I dont know exactly how many people ask me about bitcoin. Surely, since bitcoin price shot high, every time i met people. They ask what bitcoin is, and how to make money from bitcoin like me.
4469  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is there going to be WAR in China and India ? on: July 13, 2017, 05:12:20 PM
The Chinese must realize that provoking India is going to give them different output when compared to the results they had in bullying small and weak nations such as Bhutan, Philippines and Vietnam. There are 1.3 billion Indians out there, and each and every one of them are ready to give their lives to defend the nation. The Chinese are going to get kicked in their asses this time.
Calm down, there's not going to be a war. These two countries have one of the greatest militaries in the world, so a war would completely destroy them and make them struggle for decades to rebuild.
Also, I don't believe every single Indian out there would be happy to die for his country. That's a bit of an overestimation.
4470  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-07-12]Russia’s Largest Airline Considers Accepting Bitcoin Payments on: July 13, 2017, 05:06:29 PM
In a cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin, so it doesn't have to be Bitcoin. Considering that Putin is supporting ETH that was made by a fellow Russian, we shouldn't expect anything crazy, like full Bitcoin acceptance. I'm not saying the news isn't anything but great, but it's too soon to expect them to actually do it.
4471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hedge, Hodl or Sell Bitcoins? on: July 12, 2017, 08:00:43 PM
With the upcoming segwit drama events that can possibly split bitcoin shall I:

- Hedge bitcoin against Altcoins? If so which altcoins shall I choose?

- Hodl bitcoin?

- Sell bitcoin for Fiat?

I see currently red market for altcoins which is not good. Is this caused by bitcoin price going down or has the altcoin market bubble been popped? If it has been been popped then hedging bitcoin is not a correct choice right? Or will the upcoming bitcoin segwit drama events cause another altcoin bubble?

If you're not afraid of keeping some money on exchanges you could short. In the last 3 weeks there were some great opportunities because the market keeps going up and down in the same range. So it's buy at $2300, sell at $2500 and repeat.
You could also sell and wait because there's a possibility we'll fall to around $2000 before August.

If you don't want to trade, just hold. Even if it drops to sub $2000, with segwit active we'll break $3000 with ease.
4472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: August 1 is near on: July 12, 2017, 07:51:09 PM
August the 2nd is too.

Ha, ha, so true!  Smiley
Why I have the feeling that people just can't live without constant need for panic and disaster scenarios? And no one realy knows what will happen (if anything) on August 1, so far just unconfirmed information and speculatuin. Just relax people, please and stop spreading panic with no reason!
I always laugh when people talk about a market decline, crash, end of Bitcoin and other, when none of these things are happening.
It works like this:
Bitcoin grows, breaking ATH and doubling its value in just a couple months, then it loses 10% in a correction. What is the result? Suddenly nobody can remember how much they earned, that it just gained 100%. All they see is that -10%.
4473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Bitcoin ..... sign during Yellen's testimony to Congress on: July 12, 2017, 07:39:55 PM
The guy will be rich if he has put a QR code there  Grin
He could have been rich, but now he's fired instead.  Grin I don't think they'll let it slide.
Even if they won't kick him out he'll land in the basement for years. It was a nice prank though. Balls of steel!
4474  Economy / Gambling / Re: Wild West Poker Club on: July 11, 2017, 09:02:07 PM
I like the idea and I like poker, I just have one question.
So this is basically an ICO. You're offering chips for people to play with and expect them to be used/traded. What if people buy/win chips and the site disappears? Is there a safety feature built in?
4475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking for partners on: July 11, 2017, 08:43:59 PM
I've read the replies and it looks like OP isn't going anywhere with this deal, at least on this forum.
My question is, why are you looking for anonymous investors if this deal is so profitable? Don't you have friends and family that would like to get €1000 a day? I can understand that you're looking for scouts, but it's going to be much easier to get a quick loan in a bank than finding an investor here.
4476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alts fall, Bitcoin falls ... where is the money going? on: July 11, 2017, 08:36:43 PM
Does anyone trust BTC here?? I see lots of people panicking most of the time even when there is a small dump on the price of BTC. I can agree that people are unsure about Segwit right now and selling. Some of the altcoins are recovering right now and hopefully, we will see some upwards fashion now in the market.
Many people do, but those who panic are more inclined to post about it and release some steam.
I'm not worried at all, but that's mainly because I haven't invested anything above $2000 and I've already taken some profits when we were close to $3000.
I trust Segwit because I've seen it work wonders for Litecoin and I'm holding some ~$1000 Bitcoins so I'm fairly calm.
4477  Other / Off-topic / Re: punishment for rapists on: July 11, 2017, 08:22:15 PM
castration and cutting off one finger so that women who come into contact with the rapist
can be aware and take precautions.

death penalty is too severe for adult to adult rape.

but raping a child, that might qualify.
The middle finger, so that he can't even do the gesture Grin
What precautions do they need to take if he's already castrated? They got nothing to worry about, unless he uses a strapon.  Lips sealed Or his mouth...
4478  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hollow Earth on: July 08, 2017, 11:20:52 AM
There's another interesting thing that hollow earthers should explain. The temperature below ground is rising the lower you descend and just 2m below ground it's already above 0*C at all times, even when the air temperature above is -20*C. Scientists have drilled the surface and it's estimated that 3000 km below the surface the temperature is around 3000*C. How would anyone survive in these conditions? Are they lava golems? Grin
4479  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] | 🔥 Bitmixer.io Signature Campaign 🔥 | Earn up to 0.035 BTC/week on: July 08, 2017, 11:02:13 AM
Maybe it would be a good idea to start a bitmixer campaign discussion thread in service discussion. It would allow people to complain and keep the campaign thread clean.
As far as one-liners go, I think it depends on your resolution, so I wouldn't discredit a post based on how much space it takes on your screen, and my guess is nobody gets banned here for short answers. It's the quality that counts.
If you don't like the idea, and think I'm trashing the thread even more, just delete this post.
4480  Other / Meta / Re: Account farming. Allowed? on: July 07, 2017, 10:02:33 PM
I've seen some of them farming and it's not that hard to spot. They login with 1 account, open 5 or more tabs with different threads, write short response in each, switch accounts and repeat. Next thing you have a thread full of short responses by newbie/jr accounts and all of them within an hour or two.
I agree that there should be some people assigned to finding and banning mass farmers.
